Scrum and Kanban are the most popular agile methodologies at the moment.
How to choose the relevant methodology for your project? Should you follow it for the whole project life? Can you switch the methodologies on the fly? When should you go with Scrum or Kanban? How to do it right?
This presentation answer the mentioned questions and shows a practical example of Scrum and Kanban use in the same project in different circumstances.

2. Agile umbrella practices and frameworks - what is agile? what isn't agile? Where does Scrum fit in?
3. Scrum empirical theory - emperical vs. theoretical
4. Parts of the Scrum framework - roles, events / ceremonies, artifacts and rules
5. Features of cultures that use Scrum
Not sure which software development methodology is better, SCRUM or KANBAN? Our short webinar explains the similarities and differences between the two methods, as well as some advantages of both.
When I needed to do presentations of Scrum to executives and students, I started to look for existing ones. Most presentations I found were very good for detailed presentations or training. But what I was looking for was a presentation I could give in less than 15 minutes (or more if I wanted). Most of them also contained out dated content. For example, the latest changes in the Scrum framework were not present and what has been removed was still there.

Scrum, Kanban… История NokiaAnton Zotin
Scrum, Kanban, XP

VR & AR – where is the money for a game developerVictor Bogomolov
VR/AR market is growing exponentially and by 2020 could hit $120 Billion. But where is the meat? How can a regular game developer make money on this market? What should they develop? We’ll find possible answers in this presentation.
Manager’s toolbox: popular, familiar or optimal methodologyVictor Bogomolov
Common mistakes in communication with a customerVictor Bogomolov
Communication and work with customers may be quite stressful. The root of all evil are mistakes that managers make in communication and behavior.
I’d like to share my experience in building long-term relationships with customers.
Also I’ll tell about mindset and practices, which I elaborated when facing with these mistakes and working with different clients.
You’ll learn from the presentation:
- How to win trust?
- What makes the reputation of a professional?
- How many solutions does a customer expect to get?
- How to speak the same language with your client?
- Is it acceptable to argue with a customer?
Transparency – what makes a good manager an excellent oneVictor Bogomolov
Transparency is an essential tool for a manager, who wants to build an atmosphere of trust with all participants of a project.
Neither managers, nor customers or teams like bad surprises, when a project status changes from “green” to “red” all of sudden.
Not informing about the project risks in time may lead to fatal results. While smart customer expectation management distinguishes an excellent manager among good ones.
Unclear project goals and insufficient communication of its participants is another problem of project management, which can be avoided in transparent environment.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
