by-products to the consumers directly
from your farm guarantees the biggest
earning because all expenses of
commission and extra handling is cut
out.

Market – Look for events such as
livestock auction markets or similar
events in your area where people
from nearby province come to buy
livestock direct from raisers products.

entrepreneurs also have a meat shop or fish stall in
the nearby wet market to sell their own products.

5. Selling through the internet/Online Marketing
6. Selling through Middlemen – There are
entrepreneur and there are people who work with
entrepreneur to make deals with other
entrepreneur, reseller and dealer.

To market pork, beef, and by products, it includes
the following:
1. distribution in the supermarket and groceries.
2. directly selling to store or selling them in open
markets;
3. wholesale basis;
4. ordering by deliveries; and
5. selling online

Marketing Fish
Fish can be sold by kilos, piece, or in small batches
for retail selling. While wholesale selling, its is sold in
large containers.
Indicators for having/capturing fish
•St. Peter’s Fish (Tilapia) can be harvested after
three to four months of feeding.

• Milkfish 9Bangus) can be harvest after
seven to ten months of feeding.
• Catfish (hito) can be harvest between
four to six months of feeding.

Harvesting Fish
There are several methods used to harvest fish:
1. Use of Salakab or Taklob – this is commonly
used by fishermen who catch fish on brooks or
streams.
2. Use of Baited hook and line – the hook
cathes only one fish at a time and it takes time
to cath many fishes.

3. Use of Net – the most common and
practical method used by the fishermen and
the commercial fishing boats in river, lakes,
seas and fishponds.
4. Total Drainage – the pond is drained of its
water and a long fishnet is used to catch the
fish.

There are two kinds of net:
1. The dip net is shaped like a square and is
lowered at the bottom of the pond and then
lifted as fast as possible.
2. The lift net is larger version of the dip net and
would require about four person to hold the
net on four sides for faster lifting.

Selling through the internet/Online Marketing 6. Selling through Middlemen – There are entrepreneur and there are people who work with entrepreneur to make deals with other entrepreneur, reseller and dealer.
  • 5. Let’s Discuss To market pork, beef, and by products, it includes the following: 1. distribution in the supermarket and groceries. 2. directly selling to store or selling them in open markets; 3. wholesale basis; 4. ordering by deliveries; and 5. selling online
  • 6. Let’s Discuss Marketing Fish Fish can be sold by kilos, piece, or in small batches for retail selling. While wholesale selling, its is sold in large containers. Indicators for having/capturing fish •St. Peter’s Fish (Tilapia) can be harvested after three to four months of feeding.
  • 7. Let’s Discuss • Milkfish 9Bangus) can be harvest after seven to ten months of feeding. • Catfish (hito) can be harvest between four to six months of feeding.
  • 8. Let’s Discuss Harvesting Fish There are several methods used to harvest fish: 1. Use of Salakab or Taklob – this is commonly used by fishermen who catch fish on brooks or streams. 2. Use of Baited hook and line – the hook cathes only one fish at a time and it takes time to cath many fishes.
  • 9. Let’s Discuss 3. Use of Net – the most common and practical method used by the fishermen and the commercial fishing boats in river, lakes, seas and fishponds. 4. Total Drainage – the pond is drained of its water and a long fishnet is used to catch the fish.
  • 10. Let’s Discuss There are two kinds of net: 1. The dip net is shaped like a square and is lowered at the bottom of the pond and then lifted as fast as possible. 2. The lift net is larger version of the dip net and would require about four person to hold the net on four sides for faster lifting.
