This document provides an overview of different types of research designs: exploratory research design, descriptive research design, diagnostic research design, and hypothesis-testing research design. It defines each type of design and discusses their key features and objectives. Exploratory research design is used to initially understand a problem, descriptive research design aims to describe current conditions or variables, diagnostic research design determines associations between factors, and hypothesis-testing research design experimentally tests hypotheses through manipulation and control.
