the hill), Water attractions (flying board and water ski).
• Activities : Photograph, Relax (enjoying the views), Cultural activities.
• Accomodations : Lodging (floating hostel), Cafe (around the pier and
harbor).
• Amenities : Worship Places, Health post, Souvenirs and Regional food
Stores.
• Accessibilities :

- Planes and buses (for tourists from out of town and from
other provincies).
SUSTAINABILITY TOURISM of PULAU MURSALA
On the Mursala Island, there are activities that
are carried out illegally, namely logging activities
by cutting the forest carelessly, now in terms of
increasing community income there, the
government can cooperate with the islanders by
making them forest security guards, so that they
do not there was another illegal logger
As previously stated, the island has been logged
illegally, where the trees are on the hill of the
island. This means that it can be concluded that
hiking activities can be carried out (on a small
scale) on the island. Well, in this case the
residents around the island can increase their
income by becoming a tour guide for tourists
who want to do hiking activities
In addition to increasing income for local residents, the government will also
benefit by providing capital loan assistance to local residents, where the capital
loan can be used for the purchase of facilities and infrastructure that can be
made on the island, such as buying a boat or ship (where this ship is being the
only main transportation to get to the island), buying water ski equipment for
use for tourists. The capital loan is provided with a note that there must be an
agreement from both parties regarding the repayment period
and on the condition that the interest is added to the original loan.
Economic Sustainability:
With the addition or development
of Worship places and Health
posts, it will automatically develop
the social sustainability of the
island area because it is based on
the aspects assessed from social
sustainability, namely the
distribution of power and
resources, education, employment,
infrastructure, freedom and
independence and justice. So, from
the two small aspects, namely
houses of worship and health posts
are basic social and community
needs that must be met in order to
achieve sustainable social
development.
With the development of this
tourism, the cultures of the
people on Mursala Island will
be better known by the wider
community, both domestically
and abroad (through cultural
performances, selling special
foods). Thus, existing cultures
can be maintained into the
future. In other words, it can
be said that the development
of this tourism will ensure the
sustainability of the culture of
the people of Mursala Island.

SWOT Analysis of Mursala Island
STRENGHT :
1. High biodiversity,
especially in coral reef
environment.
2. Areas that have natural
beauty with pristine
forests, with coral
reefs surrounding the
islands, and waterfalls
that fall directly into
the sea (iconic
waterfalls).
3. High resource
potential, both marine
tourism as well as
environmental tourism
and recreation, which
is shown on a national
and international scale.
WEAKNESS :
1. Empowerment of local
communities has not
been carried out
properly
2. Unavailability (lack
of) facilities and
infrastructure
(amenities) for
supporting tourism in
Mursala Island marine
tourism
3. The management of
objects or areas is still
not well implemented
Opportunities
Improve the livelihoods of
local residents
Introducing the surrounding
area to the community outside
the city, province, and even
abroad.
Threats
The occurrence of disasters caused
by nature, such as a large wave
which obstructs activities to be
carried out on the island, because
the island is a water area.
Other threats, such as the loss of
customs or cultural identity of the
local community, where tourists or
tourists who come must bring their
own culture or habits, so that the
local people may become involved in
the culture that comes.
