Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

Twitter Id : @MNakkina
University : Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology
Year/ Semister : 4th year – 2nd semister
Branch : Information Technology
2. Social , Mobile, Analytics and Cloud (SMAC) are individual technologies
and platforms which have risen during the past few years and have shown
immense growth.
While each of these four components have been evolving individually and
companies are being treating them as an integrated whole.
Social links people to their friends, work and each other in new and
unexpected ways.
Mobile devices are a platform for effective social networking and new
ways to work.
Analytics derives predictive insights from the data for improved business
operations and better decision making.
Cloud enables delivery of information and functionality to users and
systems.
SMAC – SOCIAL MOBILE ANALYTICS AND CLOUD
3. The convergence of 4 emerging trends - social media, mobility, analytics
and cloud computing (SMAC) presents a huge opportunity for Indian IT
industry.
These technologies are quickly changing the way companies relate to their
customers, interact with employees, and bring products and services to
market.
SMAC based solutions are offered and deployed as a SaaS based model.
This model has given business a real opportunity to develop innovative
applications that ultimately lead to handle public IT infrastructure, lowering
cost of ownership.
This improves enterprise decision making capabilities and also allows
them to roll out new never happened business models and increase their
reach to customers.
4. SMAC – A DRIVING INNOVATION IN BUSINESS
The descriptive trends of Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud are well
recognized as essential elements of next generation IT applications.
They represent a desirable future for IT applications and architecture due
to their characteristics of collaborative functionality, ubiquitous access and
intelligent insights.
Some examples include mobile apps delivered and supported via cloud,
big data analytics performed in the cloud and executed against cyber
security data.
The main application of SMAC technology is seen in E-Commerce
business and E-Banking.
Consumers are getting every bit of information of product on mobile
phones sitting at their homes.
SMAC also provides payment security which is the reason of increase in
E-Banking.
5. SMAC - BIG IMPACT TRENDS IN NEXT 5 YEARS
By 2017, SMAC trends will drive greater than 26% of the total enterprise
software market revenue.
Social – Social media will become more pervasive.
Mobile – By 2016, there will be more than 10 billion mobile devices in the
world.
Analytics – Analytics will drive business decisions faster, better and
cheaper.
Cloud – Cloud will provide better offering from multiple vendors at lower
rates.
6. Among all these
technologies I would like to
develop applications on Cloud
because of the following
features:
Unlimited storage capacity
Increased data reliability
Universal document access
Latest version availability
Easier group collaboration
Device independence
Instant software updates
Improved document format
compatibility
