As we enter a new digital age, coded information surrounding
people and companies aligned with the internet of things will
reshape how we live and work.
Businesses are becoming more and more agile, and
technologies such as social media, mobility, analytics and cloud
computing are coming together to unleash unlimited
opportunities for everyone involved.
This convergence – also known as SMAC – will be the
leading disruptor to the business-technology ecosystem over
the next few years.
No longer it is required to keep people and information
in the same location or spend big money to support information
sharing, communication and collaboration
It lowers the cost of ownership and improves enterprise
decision making capabilities to roll out new unprecedented
business models and increase their reach to customers
INTRODUCTION
Over 1 billion social media subscribers globally.
Already disrupting traditional models of marketing and selling.
Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin among the most popular social media firms
Industry is shifting from the PC/laptop to mobile devices.
4.5 billion mobile subscribers globally; nearly 900 million in India alone
The spread of affordable 3G and 4G networks driving the growth of mobile
apps
Every year, companies and individuals generate billions of gigabytes of data
Holds tremendous potential across industries like financial services, pharma.
Has the potential to foster innovations and improve productivity across
industries. Everything from enterprise applications to our music is now using
the cloud. Can emerge as a tool for making computing more affordable in the
developing world

Technology in Perspective Today’s SMAC Stack—‘the
fifth wave’ of IT architecture—is happening faster than
anything that’s come before.
Like the four waves before it — the mainframe,
minicomputer, client/server and the Internet — SMAC
will generate significant dislocation and wealth creation
for the IT hardware, software and services sectors and
drive new levels of productivity for businesses
By 2020, as many as 100 billion computing devices will
be connected to the Web and corporations will be
managing 50 times the data they do currently.
So SMAC will have a multiplying effect on businesses
and increase productivity across the organization

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services over the internet which
allows individuals & businesses to use software & hardware that are managed
by third parties at a remote location.
It provides a shared pool of resources.
Cloud services are popular because they can reduce the cost and
complexity of owning and operating computers and networks as cloud users
do not have to invest in information technology infrastructure, purchase
hardware or buy software licenses.
Other benefits to users include scalability, reliability, and efficiency
I would like to get deeper knowledge of Cloud Computing as possible to
utilize this knowledge to be a part development toward your
Interest areas…. ( Cloud Computing)
1. Provides Incentives for those who create
2. Provides Incentives for those who iterate
3. Those who can’t afford to do either,
support the work of those who do
4. Everyone benefits from participating
5. Reusable Components
6. Faster Time to Market
7. Infinitely scalable
8. Lower Total Cost of Ownership
