2. TIMETABLE
As shown on the Documents, the location documents were signed on the 15th April, and
I started filming the next day on the 16th of April. It didn’t go as planned and I had to
reschedule another day to film in my own house as there was scheduling conflicts with
my actor as she didn’t have enough time to get the filming down in all one day, to
overcome this we organised this to do the filming in the Secret Garden park first as we
only had the one day to film that and it would be more hassle to fill out the forms for
another day, so with that we filmed in the park the day that was organised and the next
day then went to film in my own personal house as they didn’t have to be any forms for
that.

5. EDITING PROCESS
With my editing process for my final short film, I went back and forth with editing on software's like Premier Pro
and using CapCut on my phone, I decided it was more efficient and easier to use CapCut. With CapCut
however, I had a problem with losing some of my footage and as my phone screen is smaller than a PC, I
struggled trying to get the exact details right and the flow between transitions. The first thing I did to my clips in
CapCut is arrange them in the correct order and went through and cut out scenes that ended badly or started
badly so the quality is high, I then went through scene by scene and changed the speed of the clips and the
filters and adjustment of the scenes, I did this as I wanted a slower build and tension, the change of the filter
changes the environment and the atmosphere of the short film an makes it more eery. With the starting credits
I added type writing to make the typing in the horror game that the girl was playing in the horror, this shows a
cohesive link. I also added transitions that add to the tensions and the atmosphere of the short film, I did this
by going on overlay and effects and putting them in-between the scenes. Also with the music I experimented
with the different kinds of music I can add to my short film so I filmed an instrumental of a suitable song on
YouTube and then slowed it down, I then uploaded it to my short film as a video and then extracted the audio
from the video, the music I chose at first didn’t suit it however so then I went on to music in the CapCut app
and added things based off the keywords I typed, for example ‘typewriting’ comes with audio clips of type
writing. Comparing to my research on existing products, I wanted to make this a similar editing style of ‘The
Sound’ due to the concept being pretty similar, I took inspiration from the filter of the short film and the
psychologic thriller element to it and heightened the sci-fi and the horror to suit my short film more.
6. 1st Draft
Feedback
This is my first draft I have made for my short film, I experimented with the layout and
the style of my short film. It connects to the brief as it still is the same location as before
and that is what connects it mainly and the concept is still the same it is just more the
layout and the style that I have changed to experiment on what is better projecting the
idea of my short film. I think this won't connect to the client as much just as the style of it
isn’t captivating and fails to build up much tension, as the audience that is wanted is
hopefully creative and artistic, they will want to watch something that is more thorough
and thought through.
