The document discusses the creator's process of planning their documentary through scripts and storyboards. It describes how early scripts and storyboards helped generate initial ideas for introducing different subcultures but did not have the right order or level of detail. Multiple storyboards were made to experiment with different arrangements and reduce repetition. While the storyboards provided a base, interviews were ultimately included to add multiple perspectives and make it less boring.

Appearance
When I watched the video of myself, I felt that my black straight skirt, closed toed shoes and white collared shirt gave a professional appearance and more credibility with the audience. My hair was a little too casual. I wished I had that one strand tacked back so it would have stayed out of my eyes. This made it hard for the audience to see my face and was distracting when I had to keep tucking it back. My earrings were small so the audience would watch me and not my jewelry. I wasn’t standing up straight and it made me look less confident. I need to remember to have better posture when speaking.Organizational Pattern
My introduction was slow and clear and the story was suspenseful enough to grab their attention. It was a little confusing at the beginning because I didn’t preview the main points but because I transitioned well between the steps by saying, “Now that you have completed step 1, selecting the pattern, you are ready to move to step two, preparing the wood” the audience was able to follow. I remembered to state my research source for two of the steps but forgot the third. It made the third step seem shallower and I think I lost credibility. My word choice was good. I made sure to use a variety of descriptive words for the types of wood, explained new vocabulary and repeated phrases to help the audience remember the steps. For some reason the ending was weak. I didn’t tie it to the introduction or have a good ending sentence. It would have been a good idea to remind them of the beginning story and how woodworking affects their everyday life.Vocal Qualities
During my speech I had such a dry mouth that I messed up on the pronunciation of some of the words like saying “exspecially” instead of “especially.” This sounded less professional to the audience. I had good projection so that even the back row could hear without straining. My pitch variation is getting better but I still keep using the same rhythm with my pauses. This make me sound more monotone, like I’m reading the speech rather than just having a conversation. I’ll need to practice changing my rate and pauses. I also noticed many of my sentences end in an up-pitch, like I’m asking a question. If I bring some of those down it will make me appear more confident rather than questioning. It is hard to get rid of those filler words. “Like” and “so” are two of my favorites but it does make me sound like a teenager. I had no idea I said them so much.Delivery
There weren’t many gestures, which made me look stiff and nervous. I just held my note cards and stood in one spot the whole time. I need to do more with my hands and maybe move a little more in the space. I really admire the people in class who have such a good flow with their delivery from gestures to using the space around them purposefully. I felt I held my note cards too close to my face and had my head down most of the time. While watching the video, I noticed I looked at my cards and the poster a l.

Building a Raspberry Pi Robot with Dot NET 8, Blazor and SignalR - Slides Onl...Peter Gallagher
In this session delivered at Leeds IoT, I talk about how you can control a 3D printed Robot Arm with a Raspberry Pi, .NET 8, Blazor and SignalR.
I also show how you can use a Unity app on an Meta Quest 3 to control the arm VR too.

Google Calendar is a versatile tool that allows users to manage their schedules and events effectively. With Google Calendar, you can create and organize calendars, set reminders for important events, and share your calendars with others. It also provides features like creating events, inviting attendees, and accessing your calendar from mobile devices. Additionally, Google Calendar allows you to embed calendars in websites or platforms like SlideShare, making it easier for others to view and interact with your schedules.
2. Script (Celtx)
With the script, this gave me ideas on what I wanted my documentary to be set
out like. My first idea as you see here is me being in a classroom describing
every point which is similar to the outcome but instead it was just in a studio. I
laid out the labels for my sub cultures but they aren’t in the order that I wanted
them to be. With the deadline for the project I wasn’t able to do the ideas that I
wanted to do for this documentary like showing the daily communication in
classrooms etc and having the mind map idea of showing my ideas on a mind
map. This gave me a starter idea on the ideas of introduction from myself on
each subculture that I later applied in my documentary along with the ideas
that came from the storyboards. This helped give a base idea of what I needed
to put in my documentary and in what order, like the logos and introduction I
just didn’t have the time or skills to do the mind map editing etc.
3. Storyboards (multiple with experiments)
With this story board, I wanted to create a story board to draft my ideas and
to get a plan so it is easier to organise my footage later on and to have a
better idea of how I want top show my ideas in my documentary without it
looking messy. I purposefully didn’t do this storyboard too detailed as I
wanted to have a base idea on how I organise my subcategories. When
organising them and doing my story board I had a idea on which ones are
going first etc as some of them fall after each other. I wanted to put identity
first as this is the most relatable subject for the target age bracket as they are
coming into their own identities, from that it goes the interviews with 3
people who are within the age target for this project. From then it goes music
as it links in with music and identity as music can be a huge part of
someone's identity and how they like to present themselves, I wanted music
o0t be apart of my documentary as social media has helped music progress
and teens and young adult in the present age rely on music highly for
entertainment etc and for hobbies, there is then interviews as always and
then cancel culture, I wanted cancel culture to come after music as it ties in
with music artists getting ‘cancelled’ and I can go onto the negative aspects of
social media now, with cancel culture I talked about influencers mental
health and if cancel culture is a bad thing or good thing. After that I would
normally put communication as that’s what I decided to add in the
documentary but it isn’t on this storyboard due to me not wanting to make
the documentary too long and repeative. I decided to add communication as
a subculture for my documentary as it is arguably one of the most important
negatives and positive aspects of social media, as you can talk to anyone
anywhere but it can be cause of bullying and catfishing/grooming etc.
4. This is my second storyboard, I decided to make this storyboard
more simple compared to the other as I had the concern that the
documentary was going t be too boring and repetitive no matter
the information. By the end I didn’t like this idea of the story
board as I liked the interviews and talking heads as it gives
multiple people that the audience can relate to. I used inspiration
from this storyboard however with the introduction from each
subculture, this will create separation so it all doesn’t feel the
same and it adds character as it personal and close up of me to
have an introduction to each topic, this will also help people get a
better idea before we go to the interviews. The subcultures is very
lacking in this story board as well, which I have not applied to my
documentary as I wanted lots of subcultures to touch on every
possible subject. This storyboard also feels so fast and yet so plain
as well, I wanted to experiment with the ideas of different
arrangements And ideas so thus was a good one to see what I
wanted to do in the terms of making it less intense and long and
making it shorter and simple as it does touch on lots of topics. The
similarity with all 0pf my ideas is that there is an introduction in
the beginning with the BBC Three and the Northern Voices logo,
this is to establish that this is a partnership and a project for the
BBC & BBC Three.
