This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. - 2. 3 Assignments My all time favorite assignment done in this class was the journal we did about our future accomplishment. The scavenger hunt was also very useful. It showed me the different resources on campus that I didn’t know about. Another fun assignment was the dialogue in chapter 6. It was cool to go back and forth think of positive outcomes to the usual negative ones.
- 3. 3 Journals One of my favorite entries was Chapter 2 Journal Entry 8. In this journal we wrote sentences that explained our Inner Critic, Defender and Guide and how our view of certain situations would change. By doing this, I learned that in every poor situation there is something good to look for. Journal Entry 11 Chapter 3 was probably my most favorite journal. In this journal we described the moment of our biggest accomplishment and it was so fun to write. This journal entry gave me hope. Another good entry is Chapter 7 Journal Entry 28. This journal entry made me realize that even though I was struggling through different situations I was still true to myself. Ever entry we’ve done has made me realize different things about myself.
- 4. Favorite Week? Week 2 was my most favorite week. During week 2 we did a scavenger hunt which was very useful since I didn’t know much about the Grayson Campus. Also during week two we did an assignment which asked us to describe a future moment of accomplishment and that assignment really made me realize how much I want my career. (I know this is the third time I talked about it but I really loved it!)
- 5. Lessons Learned Three lessons I have learned from this class is stop procrastinating because you wont succeed, always believe in yourself even in the most difficult times and never give on your dreams because there is always a way you can achieve it.
- 6. Self-Assessment Each of my self assessment scores went up two-four point each but I had one category that went up six points! That category is Employing Interdependence. I have been working really hard to focus on my career and life goals.
