means it would be an easy read for the
teenagers.
 Also the cost of this magazine is affordable
which means they may begin to buy weekly

sell.
 To improve they could improve on some of there
stories on the front cover to look more
interesting and appealing.

8.  The cover is successful as it is aesthetically pleasing and also
simplistic and clear. It is quite appealing to the audience of
school children as well as it is unique and informative. You
are able to see clearly what the business is called as it is
presented on both the front page and contents page.
However I believe the front cover could be more complex as
it is simplistic so that it appeals to parents as well as
students.
 But the student has fulfilled the brief as there is a contents
page and front cover for a school which has information to
inform students of the schools activities. Also the student has
filled the magazine with images of students from that school.
 Personally I believe I will be able to create a school magazine
which is appealing and informative for students, parents and
also teachers. I need to be quite professional but also use
language which is an easy read, which means I will need to
have interesting information to entice customers

I would like my magazine to appeal to not just students but also parents as
parents like to know about changes within there child's school. But also if teachers
are enticed to read it enables them to connect more to students and teachers.

What is your magazine going to be called?
As I am writing it for The priory school I want to link the name of the school
with the title so it is clear that there is a link between the magazine and the
priory.
Main image:
What will be the focal point of your front page,
remember, your work “must include a photograph of
a student in a medium close-up”
Any changes that the school is going through and students opinions. Also
the main image would be the medium close up of the student.
Main cover line:
What will be the main story?
The main story needs to relate the school and be an easy enjoyable read.
So that the pupils and teachers are enticed to read it.

What other images will be on your front cover?
Remember, it is a school magazine.
The school logo would be presented on the front of my
magazine so that they are able to see what school it associates
to.
Additional cover lines:
Other features, stories or selling points which will
be inside the magazine, these need to be
audience appropriate.
To interest the readers you could offer bonus’s for students and
parents. For example free equipment or a free school dinner.
This would make parents or careers want to enter competitions
within the magazine.
Typography:

Think about the writing and the style of the
writing on your front page.
I want the magazine to be vibrant and extremely aesthetically
pleasing which means bright colours would need to be used
and smooth text so it is easy to read.
Background colour/image:
What will be in the background, remember you
don’t want to take the focus away from the main
image.
An image of a pupil but it will be faded so that the focus is not
taken off the content. It just makes the article more unique and
aesthetically pleasing.
Technical considerations:
(equipment, setting, props, costume, lighting)
All students would need to be kitted out in full uniform so that
the school is creating a good image to parents and anyone
