The document outlines the contents and layout of a school magazine. It will include a cover with the logo, school picture, headlines and price. The contents page lists the sections and their page numbers. An interview with the head teacher and teacher comments are featured. Sample timetables show a student's schedule. Five subject sections in different colors provide course details. The football team is given a double page spread. The last pages contain quizzes and competitions for prizes. Contact information and logos close out the back cover.
2. Front Cover
The front cover of my magazine will include: the
magazine’s logo, a picture of the school covering the
whole magazine, a few kicker’s naming the main
topics in the school, a bit about the sports section, a
picture of the head teacher and a bit about what the
magazine will include. The price will be in the bottom
corner too.
3. Contents Page
The contents page will include everything the
magazine covers, from subjects to the sports section to
quizzes and competitions.
They will include page numbers so that the readers
know what pages to go to for what topic.
4. Interview
There will be a page for just an interview fro the head
teacher herself and a few comments from other
teachers around the school about the school, and what
they think of the magazine.
5. Timetables
The first page of the magazine will be a picture of the
normal school timetable (Year 11) where the readers
can see what lessons they have if they’ve missed placed
their timetable and for others reading the magazine, to
see what an average day is like.
Obviously it will be different for each year group, but
they can go to the reception to see a timetable for a
specific year group.
6. Subjects
5 pages about 5 different subjects which will be written
in a different colour to avoid confusion. These pages
will include: what teachers teach this subject, a little
bit about the subject, what its like at GCSE & A Level
and where the classes are.
7. Football Side
This page will be on a double spread, introducing the
football course and what it is about. What lessons you
have to do with it and pictures of the teams or
individuals.
8. Quizzes & Competitions
The last 2 pages of the magazine will be full of quizzes
and competitions for the readers to get involved and
for a chance of winning prizes such as sweets and
chocolates.
9. Back Page
The back page will consist of a picture of the school
across the back and with the school’s logo at the
bottom with contact details such as website, address
and phone/fax numbers. Also, the magazine’s logo will
be at the top of the page.
