I believe the front cover is quite simple but still vibrant and bold. This would be due to the
colours and layout.
What type of music is featured in the magazine?
Personally I view this as quite a diverse music magazine from Ed Sheeran to Kanye West to
Rita Ora. So I believe they include artists that do a variety of music so that their target market is
larger.
What image has been used on the front cover? Does the image appeal to anyone in particular?
What does the image say about the artists?
The cover story is on Kanye west. He is covering 80% of the front cover standing with a stern
face, looking quite fierce and emotionless. The image is probably most appealing to his fan but
he is also meeting his stereotypical image. The image also shows that Kanye isn't particularly
bothered by what people’s views on him was.

What does the magazine do the encourage readers to purchase it?
It offers a free CD and also interviews with people who rarely interview.

To conclude I am able to suggest that music magazines focus mainly on the stories or topics
such as artists and also another main feature would of been what gigs and festivals will be on in
the period provided. Another significant factor of a music magazine would have been adverts to
bring awareness to the company and also sponsorship of certain factors to the magazine.

2. These images on this page as creating a family image and with his mother and the other with
his wife Kim Kardashian and daughter Nori. So they may have a different opinion on him.
What does the article say about him? Is there a point they are lying to get across?
Personally i feel the interviewer already had quite a biased opinion on Kanye and throughout the
image had a negative view on his opinions and views. But it just views the last year and what
there is to come from him and why he made certain decisions.
Is it a positive or negative article?
I believe that throughout the article there are a mixture of opinions however due to the fact that
some of his views are quite unique and outspoken people see him as a joke. For example the
artists ended in ‘I still don't really understand Kanye West but perhaps that's a fool's errand.
Perhaps we should just enjoy the show’.
Why did he want to do the interview?
He did the interview to tell everyone that he can do so much and give him time and some sort of
voice and power that he will do anything to help. It was also done to show he doesn't just want
to rap he wants to influence the children and say that he made a difference. Also he has his new
clothing line being released and just headlined at Glastonbury.
What language is used and does it appeal to a specific audience?
During the article there is a lot of complex language which could imply that he wants older
members to understand him and agree in some way that he isn't taking rubbish. Also the article
is aimed at the adults in the their later 20’S - 30’s increasing his demand and publicity.
