Outside house
Itis night time. We see the housein the distance as the camera moves towards
the house. Itlooks creepy as there is Halloween decorations outside such as
spiderwebs and pumpkins.
Children’s bedroom
We are introduced to jack and Kate, jack is a young boy he has glasses and is
wearing his blue pyjamas, hehas curly blonde hair. Kate is a little older looking
than jack and has long black hair and is wearing pink pyjamas. They are both
sat on their beds justplaying with their toys. Jack is playing with a toy car while
Kate is playing with a Barbie doll.
Hall
We are now introduced to Karen sheis a mid 40 women who has medium
length brown hair. Sheis wearing a knee-length, bottle-green dress and she
looks that sort of nervous that you look when you are late for something. So, it
is inferred that sheis going out for a meal by the way she is dressed and that
she is late by the look on her face.
Karen
Paul will you please hurry up
You always make us late for
Meals! Can you please be on

Parents’ bedroom
We see Paul for the firsttime. He too is a mid 40-year-old, with shortbrown
hair. He has his towel around him and wet hair showing hehas justgotten out
of the shower.

I’m just coming darling I wont be

Outside the house
we are introduced to Emily for the firsttime. She is a teenage girl who has long
brown hair and is wearing ripped jeans and a hoodie. She is walking towards
the houseand then she rings the doorbell and we see the door open and Karen
stood in the doorway.

Hello, you must be Emily
Emily
Hi, yeah, I am
Karen
Come in, come in. I’m Karen, how are you.
Emily steps into the house and takes her jacketoff and her shoes off
Emily
Yeah, I’m good thanks.
Karen
Let me just get the children.
JACK, KATE COME HERE NOW.
Jack and Kate come running downstairs stillwith their toys in their hands.
Karen
This is your babysitter for the night
(turns to Emily)
This is jack and this Is Kate
Emily
Hi guys, I’m Emily
The children don’t say anything, they just stay stood behind Karen holding
their toys.
Karen
Alright children go up to bed now.
The children go running up the stairs back to their room.
Children’s bedroom
The children get into bed still holding their toys.

Emily justgives a little nervous laugh.

Parents’ bedroom
Paul is now dressed and is justputting his shoes on. He is wearing a shirtand
jeans further showing they are going out somewherenice.
Paul
I’m just coming darling
Hall
We see Paul come running down the stairs into the hall

Hi, you must be Emily in Paul
It’s nice to meet you
Emily
You too
Paul
Are you ready to go Karen?
Karen
Yeah let’s go
(turns to Emily)
Just call us if you need anything
The children should be asleep now
Help yourself to any food in the
Kitchen and you can watch tv in

Emily
Okay have a good night, bye.
Paul and Karen leave the house.
Outside the house
Itis now a little later this is shown as it is much darker outside. The house is
dark apart fromthe one light coming from the lounge. The camera zooms
towards the window.
The lounge
Emily is sat on the sofa. She has a drink and the remote on the small table next
to the sofa. She is watching a reality show on the tv and then suddenly the
channel changes. She picks up the remote from next to her and puts the
channel she was watching back on.
Children’s’ bedroom
The children are still in bed holding their toys as jack starts wiggling and
wrestling in bed as if he is having a nightmare.
The lounge
Emily is still watching desperate housewives whileshe is on her phone. The tv
then turns static as if the connection had been lost. Sheturns to pick up the
remote and it isn’tthere anymoreshelooks around a bit. She looks to see if its
fallen down, or if it’s under the seat. Shethen looks back up and it is on the
small table whereit was at the startwhich shefinds weird as it wasn’tthere a
second ago. She puts desperate housewives back on and has a sip of her drink.
She puts her drink back down and carries on watching her show. Shethen goes
to have another sip but her drink isn’t there anymoreso shegoes to look for it.
The kitchen
She goes to look in the kitchen and as shewalks in she sees jack is juststood
there holding his toy car staring at the wall. So sheslowly walks over to him.
Emily
Jack what are you doing up at
This time?
6. Jack doesn’trespond so Emily keeps walking towards him hesitantly.
Emily
you should still be in bed its
Late, you’ll get me in trouble.
Still no responsefrom jack as Emily edges closer and closer. She then edges her
way around jack so she can see his face and his eyes are closed. She starts to
nudge him to wake him up.
Emily
Jack are you sleep walking? Wake up
Let’s get you back to bed.
Jack says nothing he justwalks out of the kitchen and back to his room. Emily
follows him
Children’s’ bedroom
Emily checks that jack gets back into bed alright and the leaves the children’s’
bedroom.
Upstairs hallway
Emily is stood on the upstairs hallway outsideof the children’s bedroom. She
hears movement fromthe parents’ bedroomand pushes the door open slowly
and quietly and takes a look in.
Parents’ bedroom
Emily steps into the bedroom and doesn’tsee anything suspicious apartfrom
the bathroomdoor is open slightly and the light is on in there. She walks over
slowly and pushes the door open but nothing is there so she turns the light off,
closes the door and goes back to the lounge.
The lounge
Emily gets back to the lounge and her drink is back where it was, butshe looks
outside and sees a clown in the garden. She panics. Without taking her eye off
the clown she starts to call Karen.
Emily
Karen! Karen! I need your help
There is a clown in the garden
7. Karen
A clown? In the garden?
Emily
Yes a clown get home as quick as
You can
Karen
Okay we’ll come home now go lock
The door, get the kids and hide we
Won’t be long.
Emily puts her phonein her pocket and sprints to the door.
The hall
Emily looks for the keys to lock the door but cant find any. She looks all around
the hall knocking everything onto the floor then finally finds the keys an
hurriedly locks the door. Shethen runs up to find the kids.
The children’s’ bedroom
she runs into the room and the children aren’t in there.
Emily
KIDS WHERE ARE YOU
The kitchen
She runs into the kitchen, but the children aren’t there either.
The lounge
Emily runs back into the lounge to check in there. The kids aren’t there. She
then looks out of the window and the clown isn’t there either.
The hall
She runs back into the hall and the strangedoor in the corner is now open
slightly. She pushes it open fully and it reveals a dark room with stairs going
down. She then slowly walks down the stairs using the torch from her phone.
The basement
8. She gets to the bottom of the stairs and sees the children in the corner, toys in
their hands staring at the wall. She slowly approaches them.
Emily
Kids we gotta hide there’s a clown
Outside
No responsefromthe children so shekeeps walking closer and closer. Then
out of nowherethe clown comes out from the shadows and whacks her round
the head with a bat. Emily is lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The clown
slowly takes its mask off revealing Pauls face.
Paul
Go to bed now kids your work
Here is done.
The kids run off up the stairs to their beds.

Black screen saying 3 months later.
Fade in
The lounge
All the family is in the lounge watching the tv. The children holding their toys,
then in comes Emily in a maids outfit with bruises all over her face.
Emily
Can I get anyone a drink?
Karen
A tea please
Karen walks out of the lounge

The camera starts zooming out from the house.
