This document discusses using technology for assessment and data collection in early childhood classrooms. It provides examples of free and low-cost software tools that can be used for documentation, data collection, and project-based learning activities to support various developmental domains. Examples include using Word for assessments, PowerPoint for digital portfolios, Paint.net and Audacity for multimedia projects, and iPad apps and Kidblog for communication and collaboration.
