Plan B's "She Said" music video uses cinematic techniques to tell a narrative that matches the song and draws attention to the music. The video begins with a flashback of Plan B meeting a girl, shown through slow motion. Scenes then cut between this flashback and Plan B on trial in a courtroom. Editing techniques like jump cuts on the beat are used to introduce the jury and build tension. Plan B testifies his case, and the video matches lyrics to scenes. When Plan B raps, the editing and jury's movements match the faster tempo. Through these techniques, the video engages the audience in the story and marketing of the song.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
2. The video begins with no music and only diegetic sound. It shows a couple entering a lift and kissing. The
lighting is low key signifying it is a flashback, having no music draws attention to the narrative as it is significant
to the storyline. Another way attention is drawn to the narrative is through the use of slow motion. As they exit
the lift slow motion is used, this is a typical convention of a pop video as it signifies the narrative. We see this
narrative continuously throughout the video cross-cutting between the scenes in the courtroom adding to the
knowledge the audience has of what Plan B has done to be arrested.
3. As the music begins we see a long shot of Plan B stood in a courtroom dressed in a suit. This is unusual to Plan
B’s image as he is usually portrayed as having a rebellious reputation so seeing him smartly dressed is a
contrast to this. However, the setting chosen is a courtroom which adds to the songs meaning and his
reputation. The next cut is on the beat of the song which is very prominent, this adds to the momentum of the
song and keeps the audience interested. This shot is a close up of Plan B, signifying he is the main character of
the video. Sing a close up is typical of pop videos. We see that Plan B is nervous which adds to the tension of
the narrative.
4. After the close up of Plan B we see many jump cuts on the beat of the song, not only does this add momentum
to the video and draw attention to the music, which is typical of pop videos, it also shows the audience all of
the people in the courtroom who are against him. By showing them in this fast way it appears they all have the
same motive and are a team against him. The next shot we see is of the jury, it is a long shot allowing the
audience to see all of them. They begin to click their fingers in unison to the beat of the song, by doing this
there is a link created between the music and the action shown on screen drawing the audiences attention to
the music and helping the marketing of the song.
5. In the next shot we see Plan B in a interrogation room, he is testifying his case to the police officers. Diegetic
sound is used as the tape recorder is clicked on and runs and the audience sees this happen through the use of
a close up. This diegetic sound makes the video seem more movie like which is typical of a pop video as they
have a more professional look to them compared to indie music videos which appear more simple.
6. Throughout the video there are also clear links between the video matching the lyrics of the song. This is a
typical convention of pop music videos as it draws the audiences attention to the song helping to market it. An
example of this is when Plan B sings ‘ we only just met tonight’ and ‘pleading my case from the witness box’ in
both of these instances we see a flashback of Plan B meeting the girl who is charging him at night and we see
Plan B stood in a jury box testifying his case to the judge and jury. This adds to the narrative and helps to sell
the song.
7. Finally when Plan B begins his rap within the song the continues beats that the audience have seen the jury do
significant movements on such as click their fingers, shake their heads or tap their files changes. To match this
the editing speed changes to match the tempo of the song. A dance routine also begins alongside this
sequence which is contradictory to typical conventions of the rap genre as dance routines are normally
associated with pop. This shows that Plan B produces music that is both pop and rap adding to his image. The
rap sequences ends with the diegetic sound of the judges hammer coming down to the beat, this again makes
the video seem more movie like and professional.
8. In conclusion, I have found that through the use of editing, techniques can be used to create a narrative that
matches the tempo of a song and that this helps to create an atmosphere that keeps the momentum of a video
going but also helps to attract the audiences attention to the song to help market and sell it.
