Reflection For A Student, Erosionle Ationure, And Bronle...
The students will write erosion in the center circle. In the upper left circle, the student will write
water . The student will write details about water erosion. The next day, the student will write wind
in the upper right corner. The student will write details about wind erosion. The student will write
glacierin the bottom left corner. The student will write details about glacier erosion. The bottom
right corner will not have anything in it.
Read to OR access to audio materials (books on tape): There is not any reading assigned during
this lesson. This lesson is strictly hands on and collecting data. Therefore, the students will not need
to have access to audio materials. Modifications
How would you modify this lesson for a student on AAA standards who will participate in your
class during this lesson? The student who is on AAA standards will follow the AAA standards
necessary for this lesson. The student will participate in the experiment will the other students. I
would pair the student who requires AAA standards with a group of students who are strong in
science and math. The student will be assigned the least difficult task to participate in with the
group. (Day 1 hold the ruler. Day 2 blow. Day 3 touch the clay.) The student will be assessed by
participation with the group. The student will explain if the group participated in water erosion,
wind erosion, and glacier erosion. I will accept the verbal answer of water for day one, wind for
day two, and glacier or ice for day three. I want the student to participate with the group as much as
every other student does.
Assessment
What is one alternate testing method that you could employ to provide students with high incidence
disabilities a better opportunity to demonstrate their understanding? The students are being assessed
by comparing fractions by creating a bar graph comparing the effects of wind and water erosion. An
alternate testing method can be to ask the student which form of erosion made the mountain look
smaller. Depending on how severe the student s disability is, I would ask the student why the
mountain looked smaller compared to the other one.

Taekwondo In North Korea
First off, the word Taekwondo means the Way of Hand and Foot. In addition, Tae means foot,
Kwon means fist/hand, and do means way. Also, the roots of martial arts and Taekwondo have
developed over 2,300 years ago, but Taekwondo has only recently been used in the past 100 years,
in 1955. Over where North Korea and South Korea are located, in the 6th century A.D. there were 3
kingdoms that split up the area: Koguryo being the largest, Paekje, and Silla being the smallest. To
add, in the tombs, documents, and sculptures that were found in all 3 kingdoms, the first forms of
taekwondo were seen through rough drawings and marking of the first fighting stances. Chin
Heung, the 24th king of Silla, started a group of fighters called the HwaRang. Furthermore,... Show

True Freshman Essay
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. Every year players come and go, giving newcomers a chance to
contribute and that is no different in Morgantown.
The West Virginia University football team has six true or redshirt freshman that could make an
impact on the gridiron.
Tevin Bush is a versatile running back that has been compared to former Mountaineer Tavon Austin.
For Landry Walker High, Bush lined up as a running back, slot receiver and return man.
Like Austin, Bush is small in size, standing at 5 foot 5 and 168 pounds. He is fast, agile and
difficult for opponents to bring down.
As a senior, the New Orleans, La. native collected more than 2,500 all purpose yards and 29
touchdowns.
While Bush may not see action right away, he could find the field sooner ... Show more content on

During his tenure at South Charleston High School, the 6 foot, 173 pound Pitts had 348 career
tackles, including 13 sacks and 35 tackles for loss.
In his senior season, Pitts had 90 tackles, including 56 solo stops and nine tackles for loss. He
recovered three fumbles and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
Also, the freshman is someone that can return punts if need be. Pitts averaged 45.5 yards on kickoff
returns and 21.3 on punt returns.
Often, offensive linemen don t see much playing time as a freshman. However, Josh Sills may be
an exception to that.
The Sarahsville, Ohio native traveled with the team last season and had a chance to learn from
some of the best. Currently, Sills is penciled in as Grant Lingafelter s backup at right guard on the
preseason depth chart.
The 6 foot 6, 320 pounder was a two year starter at Meadowbrook High School. In 2015, he was an
Associated Press All Ohio Division IV first teamer and earned a three star rating by ESPN, Rivals,
Scout, 247Sports and PrepStar.
Heading into fall camp last season, Brendan Ferns was a linebacker expected to make some noise.
However, he suffered a season ending ACL injury.
Now, the St. Clairsvile, Ohio native is ready to make his mark on the Big 12.
As a senior, the 6 foot 2, 236 pound Ferns made 118 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, five
pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two interceptions.
In 2016, he was named to the U.S. Army All American Bowl.

The Trial of Jesus Essay
In The Judaeo Christian Tradition by Jack H. Hexter, the trial of Jesus is addressed in an
unorthodox perspective. The trial of Jesus incorporates two trials: the Roman trial and the Jewish
trial. In Hexter s book the Roman trial is addressed in great length while the Jewish trial is almost
unaddressed. Hexter provides a perspective of the trial of Jesuswith only one cause: the charge of
sedition, for claiming to be king of the Jews. By using the four gospel texts, Hexter s view is
illuminated and we find crucial aspects to the trial that not only counter Hexter s view on the
sedition charge but also provide evidence for other important charges. Themes other than the charge
of sedition supporting Hexter s perspective include, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hexter blames Pilate for being the sole decision maker for the death of Jesus, but once again, the
Four Gospel texts allude the Jewish community for being a major influence upon the death of Jesus.
Hexter begins his thesis with one sentence stating that only Pilate gave the order of Jesus death:
...who in turn gave him to the procurator Pontius Pilate for trial. (Hexter 63) Hexter does not
address the Jewish community that is in upheaval during a time of Passover or Pilates role
throughout the trial. Pontius Pilate, as Roman Governor, had a position to fulfill to the Roman
population along with the Jewish community. During a time of Jewish Passover, along with the
chaos Jesus had created, Pilate was under great influence from many outside factors. The stir
created by Jesus preaching and the size of his following perturbed both the Roman and the Jewish
authorities, fearful of any wind that might fan the smoldering discontent in Palestine into a raging
flame of revolt. (Hexter 62) In the Roman trial, Pilate was chosen to judge Jesus on the act of
sedition, however counter to Hexter s perspective, repeatedly stated that he saw no case against
him. In the Gospel of John, it is apparent that Pilate not only doesn t want to be involved but is
puzzled at the situation at hand. Your own nation and the chief of priests have handed you over to
me; what have you done? (John 18:33) Pilate is attempting to keep order in his city and rather not

The Hero Of The American Soldier Who Goes Out
The film illustrates the hero that can be likened to a representative of the American soldier who
goes out to get information about a particular crime. During the movie, Ray gets to the point to
understand the Indian culture by studying the problems the go through in the United States of
America (Fusco 3). As Michael Apted directed the film, it is a fictional representation of a
soldier who is wounded in serving the people. The central scenario is dominant of the Native
Americans complaining about rights violation. Ray plays the part of the FBI agent who gets
preoccupied with investigating the hilarious acts the people complain about in the society. The
hero as portrayed in the film takes much time trying to figure out where the criminal lives. In
fact, the FBI agent is an Indian native, but he has never lived according to his beliefs. He is the
Sam Shepard s partner, who has the responsibility of delivering the best service according to the
duties attached to him. Besides, Ray became an option since his heritage was complicated making
him suitable for the investigation (Alvarez, Jenn and Waawaate 95). By working with the
government, he fails to represent the true heroic nature, who should defend his people against the
ills and odds that they go through. He goes on the mission under the support of agent Frank,
someone that he enjoys working with due to his previous successes in the similar incidence. While

Analysis Of The Movie Fruitvale Station
New Year s Day, 2009, a man is brutally shot by the BART Police of Oakland, California.
Fruitvale Station, written and directed by Ryan Coogler, took audiences by surprise as it
resonated with twenty two year old Oscar Grant, a man who was shot down by the BART
Police. This movie takes viewers on an emotional expedition as it takes a peek into the life and
death of Oscar Grant and his family. The struggles of originating from an African American
background become apparent as Oscar Grant struggles with steering away from racial
stereotypes and the misunderstandings of racial profiling. As the movie begins, the audience
notices that Oscar Grant is portrayed as a man who is loving and caring toward his family, but
also has a history of convictions and drug dealing experiences. As the movie continues, Grant is
shown as being a doer. Acting on situations without much thought and logic, his life has been full
of risks. By depicting Grant as having two completely different sides to him, the director does a
great job in displaying his struggles with himself as he tries to become a better man for the sake
of his family. The audience is allowed to see the humanization of Grant as the film proceeds. His
character is portrayed as flawed and misunderstood which relates to the viewers on a more
personal level. The audience notices the shrinking gap between themselves and Grant as the film
continues and takes them deeper into Grant s life. The film as a whole is filmed with cinema

Similarities Between Emma And Homa
Emma dreams of being in the noble class, something she could accomplish by her doctor husband
who she then manipulate to get what she wants. We see this even in the pharmacist HomaГЇs who
tries to brag up the social pyramid and look up to strong nobility. Like Emma [Purchaser] HomaГЇs
two urchica pompadourstil statuettes to adorn his drawing room (s.325) to be greater and seem
rich. HomaГЇs have the typical bourgeois mentality of the author conveys the bourgeois principles,
to be like nobility. The difference between these two is that Emma as a woman must reach this
status by her husband while HomaГЇs alone can achieve nobility. By Emma and HomaГЇs
consumerism mocks Flaubert bourgeoisieneed for the pleasure of buying things.

This we can see in Charles s mother, she controls his life and live their own dreams through him,
something that probably even Emma would do if she had a son. The thought of giving birth to a
male creature was like a revenge for all her disappointed expectations and a hope for the future
(p.91). In this powerful quote we see her disappointment at being a woman in the bourgeoisie
because of the lack of freedom. The woman is pinioned and lives by man. Emma becomes a mother
from turning because of this. She baptized her daughter by a woman she met at the marquis prom
and this suggests Emma fixation of the nobility.
An important aspect of Flaubert s criticism is that Emma and HomaГЇs are similar in that they both
want to be like the nobility and both like art, Emma plays the piano, read poetry, and like to write,
HomaГЇs writing a book, but they still contrasts with each other strong. The author argues then that
even if they are as successful as the ridiculous pharmacist HomaГЇs while Emma struggling to fail
because she is a woman in a patriarchal society. Gycklaren HomaГЇs receive the Legion of Honor
and Emma takes her life. This suggests the author of injustice that the selfish survive while the

The Triassic-Jurassic Extinction
The Triassic Jurassic extinction occurred about 210 million years ago, killing about 80 percent of
all living species ( End Triassic Extinction ). Most species were hit hard, but there were no major
full on extinctions. Still, cephalopods, sponges, corals, reptiles, and pollen and spore producing
plants were hit hard. The dinosaurs, however, were lucky and survived the extinctionintact. This
allowed them to reign supreme for the next geological epoch ( End Triassic Extinction ). During
the time of the Triassic Jurassic extinction, Pangea was in the process of breaking apart. This
caused major volcanic activity to occur, one of the prevailing theories as to what caused this

The widely debated sixth extinction event, the Holocene extinction, is a man made weapon of mass
destruction that has caused over 1000 extinct species in the past 500 years (Brannen). A mixture of
deforestation, climate change, and other human impacted effects has made species die off 10 to
100 times faster than the usual background species extinction (Brannen). Well known creatures
such as the Dodo Bird, Passenger Pidgeon, Tasmanian Wolf, and Golden Toad have all died due to
the lack of care humans have shown for the natural world. Smithsonian paleontologist Doug Erwin,
however, still maintains that the Holocene extinction is fake. Though humans have accelerated the
extinction of some species and negatively impacted the environment, the actual amount of recent
extinctions is almost insignificant. Compared to over half of all species dying off, a few thousand
lost animals make nearly no mark in the fossil record (Brannen). Most animals and plants are not,
or do not die in ways, suitable for fossilization. This makes the fossil record extremely incomplete.
Some scientists estimate that the fossil record shows less than one percent of species that have
actually lived. This means that only a truly massive extinction could cause a noticeable change in
the record, so the Holocene extinction is most likely not occurring. Still, Erwin cautions us to watch
our impact on the Earth and make sure

Similarities Between Sonnets Of The Portuguese And The...
The profession and art of love is a timeless study yet differs according to time and textual features
employed. Composers select particular form to best express their ideas on issues such as love and
emotion, inherently influenced by their own context. Sonnets of the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barret
Browning (EBB) were initially private, personal reflections, a poetic documentation of her
courtship with Robert Browning during the Victorian period. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott
Fitzgerald is a longer text where characters are strongly developed, falsely striving to live and
accomplish the American Dream. Loveis deliberately portrayed by each composer to reflect their
varying contexts, opinions and forms.

Sonnet XXVII recalls EBB s first meeting with Browning and his love letters, reflecting the
Romanticism of the period. The form enables a play on openly creating poetry and publicising the
intimacy of love. EBB conveys this intimacy, as if flicking through letters. Lying at my heart that

having someone love her. The sonnet references the letters he wrote to her; one asked to be

reputation yet feels exhilarated. The sonnet emphasises a paradox, light paper carries words

She ends up burning her house and herself. This caused Montag to want to read books to see
why someone would be willing to die because of them. While this event was important for
Montag s transformation, it did not cause the point of no return for his transformation. Near the
end of the novel, Guy Montag and the other firemen travel to a house, Montag s house, where he
has to burn it and ends up burning his boss, the fire captain. Montag is shocked when they arrive
at his house and he comments, Why said Montag slowly, we ve stopped in front of my house
(Bradbury 120). Fire Captain Beatty forces him to burn his own house. Afterward, Beatty s
incessant nagging comments cause Montag to get so angry that he burns Beatty and knocks out
the rest of the firemen. Now, Montag is evading capture after this event which caused him to
completely throw away all of his beliefs that he had prior to this and run with only the knowledge
and faith he has with books. All of these people and events are very influential in Montag s
transformation. In Ray Bradbury s Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag learns the truth about books and
knowledge through rebellion against his society; he changes from a blissfully ignorant fireman to
a deeply informed book reader. Clarisse helped Montag to open up his views about the world,

A Hunger Artist Comparison Essay
A Hunger Artist, by Franz Kafka, and the graphic novel representation of A Hunger Artist, by R.
Crumb and David Zane Mairowitz are hugely different takes on the same story. In Kafka s
original, the reader is observing The hunger artist s art, which is fasting. In comparison, Crumb
and Mairowitz version offers a version of the story in a way that the reader may not have been
able to decipher in the original. Franz Kafkas original is told with an omniscient third person
narrator. The all knowing narrator can weave in and out of different characters thoughts. Also, this
distinct narration is beneficial to tragedy of the story because even though the narrator seems to
know everything about the story, not everything is revealed to the audience, for example, why
hungerartists became unpopular. The manager in the original story adds to the tragedy of the artist
s situation as he is portrayed utilizing the hunger artist s talent. The hunger artist s manager
exhausts everything he can into making the artist s performance a grand spectacle. Unfortunately in

Little Boy By B. H. Fairchild
Words and actions have a large impact on the way you work with the world around you, they
have the ability to make you feel indescribable emotions in every way. The poem Little Boy,
written by B.H. Fairchild begins as a young boy questions his father s hurtful past, as the speaker
demonstrates that he asked the questions as he would ve asked if he ever saw Dimaggio or
Mantle, and develops into an examination of a lifeless relationship between father and son. In the
poem the little boys persistent focus on the father s brutal past reveals a case of PTSD from his
involvement in WWII, and how it affects the advancement of an already bad and unsteady and

What creature was it, that masked an ordinary woman s face and shape, uttered the voice, now of
a mocking demon, and anon of a carrion seeking bird of prey? (BrontГ« 221). A brief synopsis of
Charlotte BrontГ« s novel, Jane Eyre, is present in this short quote, which describes the mystery that
is present within the novel. As well as its gothic sensation, romanceis present as well, giving the
novel its feminine characteristics. Foreshadowing is a main aspect which helps prolong the
suspense in the novel. The element of foreshadowing helps the reader foresee the upcoming events
in the novel. These gothic elements create a mysterious plot within the novel, which escalates
during the climax. Novels in the Gothic Romance genre include many mysterious events, as well as
a twisted love story. Jane Eyre is classified as a Gothic Romance due to its gloomy setting, elements
of mystery and suspense, and supernatural components.
In like manner, Jane Eyre contained a gloomy setting that follows throughout the novel. The first
main indication of Jane Eyre being a Gothic Romance was when Jane was living at Gateshead

idea of death. . . .. it was in this chamber he breathed his last; . . . and, since that day, a sense of

Garage Sale is an informal event for the sale of goods by private individuals, in which sellers are
not required to obtain business licenses or collect sales tax though in some jurisdictions, a permit
may be required.
Typically the goods in a garage sale are unwanted items from the household with its owners
conducting the sale. The conditions of the goods vary, but they are usually usable. The items are
displayed to the passers by or those responding to flyers, classified ads or newspaper ads.
Popular motivations for a garage sale are for cleaning, moving or earning extra money. The venue
at which the sale is conducted is typically a garage, at a driveway, carport, and front yard or inside
a house.
Items typically sold at garage sales include old clothing, book, toys, household decorations, lawn
and garden tools, sports equipment and board games. Larger items like furniture and occasionally
home appliances are also sold
Garage sale will be conducted with the end goal of raising funds to support the extension service of
NSTP. Students currently enrolled especially those taking up their NSTP subjects will be requested

This novel was about a father wanting a son but he couldn t have one because the family was

be male, it will be a man, it will be named Ahmed even if it is a girl (jelloun13) this demonstrates
how girls are unappreciated and how they are tread and seem by their culture. They believe that
men are better than women, throughout the story ahmed experiences both sides of each gender

There are many reasons why these two are considered as the economical justifiable terms but
some of the points are as follows : Tax considerations as mentioned above it is very important
aspect when merger happens because with it the capital structure of the organizations. For instance
let us assume that there are two companies, company A and company B. They are deciding the
merge. Here company A is very high turnover and also the profit is outstanding thus the tax
obligations is very high and the company B runs in the debt. Thus if these companies unite the tax
liability of Company A will reduce and thus money can be reduced for going out. Even in future
the tax liability will be less then it is in existing situation. Synergy This is also referring to the
stakeholders and merging companies. The origin of the synergy can be done by many reasons they
are a) financial economies, b) two separate management strength, c) operating economies d) by the
union of two companies the market power will increase and also the competition will decrease.
Thus synergy and tax considerations are main and justifiable in this situation. Hostile merger As the

The Rapid Growth Of Population Essay
Introduction:
The reason I chose this topic is because in my country Ethiopia the rapid growth of population
alarmed me, just around the 1965 our population was very low however in the past few years it
has tripled form 20 million to over 100 million. This was when my interest in my countries
population developed. Population is one of the conversational topics when talking about a
countries profile, in view of the fact that it plays a huge role, in a countries work force,
consumption and economy. I will be collecting data and modelling them to predict the population
for the next 5 to 10 years. I will also be doing this for Kenya to see the relationship between the two
countries to prove that this rapid growth of population is happening not only in our country but in
our neighboring countries too.
The data collected is imprecise because it is affected by many variables. The mortality rate of
the people in Ethiopia can affect my data highly. During this time Ethiopia had a high rate of
migration, this could also be included as one of the variables that have affected my data. I will be
using this set of data to draw a graph so that I can generate a model to represent this data so that I
can use it to predict the population after five years.

Anglo Saxon Warrior Culture
Imagine if one thousand years from now, the American civilization was researched based only on
evidence that survived time, such as a singular book or ruin of a skyscraper. These artifacts would
serve as the basis of knowledge for all characteristics of the society of the United States. The
information now regarded as common knowledge for many ancient civilizations derives from their
surviving artifacts that give examples of culture. One such civilization was the Anglo Saxons, who
wrote poems and left behind parts of their material culture that provide insight into their lives.

their fallen warriors with beautiful riches (A Window on Anglo Saxon Life). Since many warriors
had these golden embellishments on their weapons, wealth must have been an important reward

Essay on Whistleblowing
Sharon Watkins earned her 15 minutes of fame the honest way, as the Enron employee who blew
the lid off of then CEO Ken Lay s debauchery. But for every celebrated whistleblower, there are
hundreds who remain in the shadows. And for good Samaritans who do tell their tale, the price they
pay can be exorbitant.
Whistleblowers perform in many careers and are found at all levels of an organization: scientists
and secretaries, lawyers and paralegals, managers and staff, security personnel and computer
specialists, etc. They are as varied in age, ethnic background, education, profession, sex, and income
as the population at large. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The whistleblower him or herself must be carefully scrutinized. What are the personal and the
professional reputations of the whistleblower? What is the motive driving the whistleblower? Is it
to benefit the client or the organization, or is it a need for attention or revenge? Is the
whistleblower s cause seen as legitimate and significant by trustworthy colleagues and friends? Is
the whistleblower aware of the potential consequences of blowing the whistle and still willing to
accept responsibility for actions taken?
Unfortunately, during most of this century many people equated whistleblowers with tattle tales.
For instance, until the early 1980s, legal indices often listed the law of whistleblowing under the
word snitch or informant. During the Nixon era, much of that negative attitude changed. With the
advent of Watergate, the public began to recognize the service whistleblowers were providing to
taxpayers at great risk to themselves.
Further, whistleblowing impacts not just the whistleblower but also their family and friends.
Although whistleblowers have many different backgrounds, skills,

Argumentative Essay On Genetic Engineering
Why live a life with average abilities when we can enhance our abilities through genetic
engineering on our DNA for the greater good? Genetic engineering is the artificial manipulation,
modification, and recombination of DNA or other nucleic acid molecules in order to modify an
organism or population of organisms. It is not exactly a science in a broad sense, but a branch of
biotechnology, which uses methods of molecular and biology, virology, and genetics. Genetic
engineering on the human genome should be approved because it has the potential to make lives
and the world better. Genetic disorders could be permanently eliminated, certain genes could be
reactivated for regrowth of necessary cells, eliminating many neurological disorders, and delaying
ageing, which would expand scientific research in order to many world complications. Through
recombinant DNAtechniques, scientists have already experimented with bacteria and copied their
cellular system that allows them to defend themselves from viruses in order to create a new
restriction enzyme called Cas9, which then gets bound to an RNA guide strand. This new enzyme
introduces new genetic material into the human genome as DNA replicates. This method will be
useful for families members who carry harmful recessive alleles. Their babies could inherit the
genetic disorder, but with recombinant DNA techniques, the harmful gene or genes could easily be
replaced with a functional gene. Lauren Friedman, Senior editor for

INTRODUCTION
The product or service offered by a firm is to a large extent determined by the market segment the
firm wants to capture. And in most cases, when the firm knows what segment of the market they
want to capture, it makes the decision of their product offering easier. A good way to further
explain this would be to consider two movie theaters one operating near a university campus and
one located in the down town part of the city, the cinema close to the school would easily identify
their market as student and offer price ranges and viewing times that are tailored to suit the lifestyle
of a student while the cinema operating downtown might not be incline to pursue that same strategy

segments the company is targeting sometimes helps determine the product the company offers.

Business travelers and (2) the Leisure traveler. This two segments to a large extent help airlines

Colonial Women and Her Changing Role Essay

Principles Of Integrity In Public Administration
There are three ethical principles that are the most important for officials to excel in the field of
public administration. These principles are ranked below from 1 being the most important to 3
being important. Demonstrate personal integrity (1) There has not been much discussion about
the code of ethics in the past administrations than in Trump Administration. Personal integrity is
an asset in today s time where the political chaos runs the White House and where a hullabaloo
takes place every week. The atmosphere of chaos prevails in the government and society, which
causes disruptive governance to run in every level. In this presidency, there is a sense of
aristocracy where the privileged class has taken over the voice of the people and only depends on
those members of Congress who adhere to integrity to do what is right for the least privilege.
Upbringing integrity to the best of one character brings out courage to overcome obstacles. It is not
a secret that if officials who hold high positions and stand by their own decisions always fear
repercussions, but with this administration, they fear dismissal. For example, the attorney general
Saly Yates, who was fired after she defied the president s executive order banning people from seven
Muslim majority countries entering the U.S. (Newsweek, 2017). She decided to stand by her
position and she was punished for demonstrating integrity on an issue that deserves more evaluation
for policy implementation. Demonstrating

The concept of invulnerability has been exalted for centuries in numerous societies through oral

the characters true weakness behind their strength. Up in the north, we have the Norse myth of the

Machiavelli And Humanism
While the moral codes of Humanism and Catholicism consider being deceitful to be wrong, from
an amoral perspective, betrayal is unavoidable and comes with its own set of benefits. This is
Machiavelli s view in his 1513 work The Prince, in which he details the complexities of gaining
and maintaining political power to his Italian statesman Lorenzo de Medici, from whom he hopes
to regain a political position after shifts in the unstable Florentine republic. Machiavelli argues that
people, particularly political leaders, should have flexible moral codes so that they can bend them

Despite Machiavelli s tongue in cheek perspective, his intentions in writing The Prince exemplify
the two faced nature of mankind. During political upset in Florence, the ruling family betrays
Machiavelli himself by temporarily jailing him for treason, stripping him of his political

Machiavelli sees Medici family s return to power as an opportunity to regain his own position,
which is why he hopes to impress Lorenzo with The Prince. For him, betrayal is more expected

is needed. However, the writing skills must be strong. If they are not strong, one should get writing
help. This comes back to the question of is the writhing class in Averroes High School beneficial?
The writingclass offered helps one on tests, to get better grades and builds vocabulary for
speaking. First, the writing class helps one on tests. From SATs to finals, writing is needed. If one
is not strong in writing, they miss a huge part of their tests. Even though the student may know the
right answers, if they can t write well, there is no point. It s like listening to two same age high
school students speak against each other. However, they both are speaking about the same topic.
Whoevers voice, explanation and stance is better would win more approval. The same thing applies
when it comes to tests. The better written, the more likely a teacher... Show more content on

It does this in two ways. First, it offers writing help and second it is an easy way to bring up your
grade in English. Firstly, the writing class offers help. If the student has biology paragraphs due
tomorrow the writing class could help the writing not only be efficient but clear as well. It will
teach the student everything needed to write successfully. This means that they will write better
and turn in better work for that. This all leads to get better grades in that subject. Secondly, this
class is an easy boost for english. All there is to do in this class is to correct work from the
english class taught by the same teacher. If the student takes constructive criticism and corrects
the work, they can easily get good grades. If this class is 25% of the english grade that means
even a failing student can get a 100% in english. However, they must be passing the writing class
with an A at least. The writing class boosts academic

Key Differences In The Tang Dynasty And Mughal Dynasties
There are many key differences to both dynasties works. Firstly, in terms of display, the Tang
Dynasty has more of a simple, serene look while Mughal has more of a crowded scenery. This
shows a big difference in order considering Chinese works are more Confucian and Indian works
are more Daoist. Secondly, the choices of colors are different as well because the Tang Dynasty
limits colors to very somber ones with the only bright color is red to show influences. Mughal
paintings have a variety of colors and different patterns that one may not know where to begin in
looking at the painting. Thirdly, in space within the painting the Tang Dynasty has more space
because it only puts one object as the spotlight with no background comparing to Mughal paintings
which lack total space and show many things going on that one of high status is not always center
of attention. Backgrounds within Mughal paintings are very detailed and show different aspects of
life. Fourthly, a detailed difference between these paintings is that in the Tang Dynasty it is shown
that an emperor who is standing is more powerful than one sitting, while Mughal is the complete
opposite, as shown in the painting selected, because Akbar is sitting while he is one of highest
status. Fifthly, influences are different from both where the Tang involves Central Asian influences
while Mughal has European Renaissance, Hindu, and Persian influences. Lastly, another difference
is that Mughal paintings show more life

Essay on Human Factors in Long-Duration Spaceflight
A manned mission to Mars is an extremely dangerous excursion. Crewmembers can expect a six
month flight to the planet, one year of occupation, and a six month travel back. During this period,
numerous human factors challenges can complicate, and even ruin the entire mission. This paper
will identify human factors challenges the crew will face, describe why they are so dangerous, and
finally, identify ways to mitigate these challenges.
The first challenge in a long duration spaceflight is almost immediately apparent after lift off,
leaving the gravitational pull of Earth, and entering a micro gravity environment. Weightlessness can
have several different impacts on the human body. Astronauts who orbit the Earth on the... Show

One way to do this is with extensive exercise. Not just two or three times a week for 30 minutes.
Crewmembers must exercise six times a week for almost three hours at a time using equipment
such as the ergometer, treadmill, and the Resistance Exercise Device (RED) ( Use It or Lose It,
2004). Another way to fight the effects of micro gravity is to create an artificial gravity. Creating
artificial gravity can be done using one of two techniques, a rotation or acceleration. The entire
spacecraft could rotate, or a single section of the spacecraft could do the rotation. This would give
the astronauts the opportunity to live or weight train in a non weightless environment (Hsu, 2010).
High acceleration and deceleration rates of the spacecraft could also provide a normal gravitational
environment ( Space Travel, n.d.).
Once the mission leaves the Earth s atmosphere and travels into space, the next challenge awaits.
The Earth s atmosphere and magnetic field act as a shield and deter a large portion space radiation.
Space radiation comes from our Sun in the form of solar radiation and also comes from outside our
solar system in the form of cosmic rays (Gray, 2013). Radiation may be the most dangerous
phenomenon a long duration spaceflight could face. Solar flares erupt from the Sun and send
millions of tons of charged particles into space at speeds

about many problems as well as solutions. During the Classical Civilization, civilization like
Rome,China, and the Greece experienced prosperity, as a result leading to the demise of certain
aspects of the society. In addition, Rome, China, and Greece impact on trade influenced the
development of the early societies with varying degrees in success.

National Geographic, The Silk Road allowed for trade goods such as silk, cloth and clothing, as
well as spices to spread from China to India, Arabia, Persia, Egypt, and extended all the way to
Europe. This Silk Road not only increased the trades occurring in the Ancient World but it also
allow Chinese products to permeate throughout. This trade in China and its connection to the silk
road also encourage means of cultural diffusion. Trade goods produced in China were cloth and

The Movie What About Bob
In the movie What about Bob there s a huge feud between two main characters. One of them is a
man name Bob who is an interesting guy. He suffers from not knowing how to handle himself in
the world alone. It s like he has to have someone by his side twenty four seven to show how and

Parent and Child Relationships of Oedipus Rex and Live Alone
In society, the sense of family is one of the core values in life. One of the most common
relationships in a family is that of the parent and child. Throughout history, playwrights have
composed pieces containing the impressionable relationship of a parent and a child. Sophocles and
Deborah Salem Smith effectively use the strained relationships of Oedipusand Jocasta, and Helen
Warren and Clementine to develop their plays Oedipus Rex and Love Alone. While both plays
contain parentand child relationships, the type of relationship proves to be radically different. In
Oedipus Rex, Jocasta serves as the Queen of Thebes and Oedipus is an abandoned son of
Jocasta and current king of Thebes. In the beginning of the play, Oedipus, happily married to
Jocasta, has several children with the Queen. Jocasta s first husband was King Laius, and
together they gave birth to Oedipus. Jocasta and Laius heard a devastating prophecy, which
stated that their son was going to kill his father and marry his mother. In order to avoid this
prophecy, Jocasta and Laius bound Oedipus s ankles and left him on a mountainside to die.
Ironically, Jocasta and Oedipus relationship was doomed the second Oedipus was born. In the
play Love Alone, Susan, Helen Warren s partner and Clementine s biological mother dies due to
complications while under surgery. The death of Susan, causes Clementine s and Helen s
relationship to become closer than ever before, although at first it seems to be a little to close

  • 2. Reflection For A Student, Erosionle Ationure, And Bronle... The students will write erosion in the center circle. In the upper left circle, the student will write water . The student will write details about water erosion. The next day, the student will write wind in the upper right corner. The student will write details about wind erosion. The student will write glacierin the bottom left corner. The student will write details about glacier erosion. The bottom right corner will not have anything in it. Read to OR access to audio materials (books on tape): There is not any reading assigned during this lesson. This lesson is strictly hands on and collecting data. Therefore, the students will not need to have access to audio materials. Modifications How would you modify this lesson for a student on AAA standards who will participate in your class during this lesson? The student who is on AAA standards will follow the AAA standards necessary for this lesson. The student will participate in the experiment will the other students. I would pair the student who requires AAA standards with a group of students who are strong in science and math. The student will be assigned the least difficult task to participate in with the group. (Day 1 hold the ruler. Day 2 blow. Day 3 touch the clay.) The student will be assessed by participation with the group. The student will explain if the group participated in water erosion, wind erosion, and glacier erosion. I will accept the verbal answer of water for day one, wind for day two, and glacier or ice for day three. I want the student to participate with the group as much as every other student does. Assessment What is one alternate testing method that you could employ to provide students with high incidence disabilities a better opportunity to demonstrate their understanding? The students are being assessed by comparing fractions by creating a bar graph comparing the effects of wind and water erosion. An alternate testing method can be to ask the student which form of erosion made the mountain look smaller. Depending on how severe the student s disability is, I would ask the student why the mountain looked smaller compared to the other one. Differentiated Instruction Think about all the steps or all the things ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Over where North Korea and South Korea are located, in the 6th century A.D. there were 3 kingdoms that split up the area: Koguryo being the largest, Paekje, and Silla being the smallest. • 4. True Freshman Essay MORGANTOWN, W.Va. Every year players come and go, giving newcomers a chance to contribute and that is no different in Morgantown. The West Virginia University football team has six true or redshirt freshman that could make an impact on the gridiron. Tevin Bush is a versatile running back that has been compared to former Mountaineer Tavon Austin. For Landry Walker High, Bush lined up as a running back, slot receiver and return man. Like Austin, Bush is small in size, standing at 5 foot 5 and 168 pounds. He is fast, agile and difficult for opponents to bring down. As a senior, the New Orleans, La. native collected more than 2,500 all purpose yards and 29 touchdowns. While Bush may not see action right away, he could find the field sooner ... In his senior season, Pitts had 90 tackles, including 56 solo stops and nine tackles for loss. He recovered three fumbles and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Also, the freshman is someone that can return punts if need be. Pitts averaged 45.5 yards on kickoff returns and 21.3 on punt returns. Often, offensive linemen don t see much playing time as a freshman. However, Josh Sills may be an exception to that. The Sarahsville, Ohio native traveled with the team last season and had a chance to learn from some of the best. Currently, Sills is penciled in as Grant Lingafelter s backup at right guard on the preseason depth chart. The 6 foot 6, 320 pounder was a two year starter at Meadowbrook High School. In 2015, he was an Associated Press All Ohio Division IV first teamer and earned a three star rating by ESPN, Rivals, Scout, 247Sports and PrepStar. • 5. The Trial of Jesus Essay In The Judaeo Christian Tradition by Jack H. Hexter, the trial of Jesus is addressed in an unorthodox perspective. The trial of Jesus incorporates two trials: the Roman trial and the Jewish trial. In Hexter s book the Roman trial is addressed in great length while the Jewish trial is almost unaddressed. Hexter provides a perspective of the trial of Jesuswith only one cause: the charge of sedition, for claiming to be king of the Jews. By using the four gospel texts, Hexter s view is illuminated and we find crucial aspects to the trial that not only counter Hexter s view on the sedition charge but also provide evidence for other important charges. Themes other than the charge of sedition supporting Hexter s perspective include, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hexter blames Pilate for being the sole decision maker for the death of Jesus, but once again, the Four Gospel texts allude the Jewish community for being a major influence upon the death of Jesus. Hexter begins his thesis with one sentence stating that only Pilate gave the order of Jesus death: ...who in turn gave him to the procurator Pontius Pilate for trial. (Hexter 63) Hexter does not address the Jewish community that is in upheaval during a time of Passover or Pilates role throughout the trial. Pontius Pilate, as Roman Governor, had a position to fulfill to the Roman population along with the Jewish community. During a time of Jewish Passover, along with the chaos Jesus had created, Pilate was under great influence from many outside factors. The stir created by Jesus preaching and the size of his following perturbed both the Roman and the Jewish authorities, fearful of any wind that might fan the smoldering discontent in Palestine into a raging flame of revolt. (Hexter 62) In the Roman trial, Pilate was chosen to judge Jesus on the act of sedition, however counter to Hexter s perspective, repeatedly stated that he saw no case against him. In the Gospel of John, it is apparent that Pilate not only doesn t want to be involved but is puzzled at the situation at hand. Your own nation and the chief of priests have handed you over to me; what have you done? (John 18:33) Pilate is attempting to keep order in his city and rather not involve ... The Hero Of The American Soldier Who Goes Out The film illustrates the hero that can be likened to a representative of the American soldier who goes out to get information about a particular crime. During the movie, Ray gets to the point to understand the Indian culture by studying the problems the go through in the United States of America (Fusco 3). As Michael Apted directed the film, it is a fictional representation of a soldier who is wounded in serving the people. The central scenario is dominant of the Native Americans complaining about rights violation. Ray plays the part of the FBI agent who gets preoccupied with investigating the hilarious acts the people complain about in the society. The hero as portrayed in the film takes much time trying to figure out where the criminal lives. In fact, the FBI agent is an Indian native, but he has never lived according to his beliefs. He is the Sam Shepard s partner, who has the responsibility of delivering the best service according to the duties attached to him. Besides, Ray became an option since his heritage was complicated making him suitable for the investigation (Alvarez, Jenn and Waawaate 95). By working with the government, he fails to represent the true heroic nature, who should defend his people against the ills and odds that they go through. Fruitvale Station, written and directed by Ryan Coogler, took audiences by surprise as it resonated with twenty two year old Oscar Grant, a man who was shot down by the BART Police. This movie takes viewers on an emotional expedition as it takes a peek into the life and death of Oscar Grant and his family. The struggles of originating from an African American background become apparent as Oscar Grant struggles with steering away from racial stereotypes and the misunderstandings of racial profiling. As the movie begins, the audience notices that Oscar Grant is portrayed as a man who is loving and caring toward his family, but also has a history of convictions and drug dealing experiences. As the movie continues, Grant is shown as being a doer. Acting on situations without much thought and logic, his life has been full of risks. By depicting Grant as having two completely different sides to him, the director does a great job in displaying his struggles with himself as he tries to become a better man for the sake of his family. The audience is allowed to see the humanization of Grant as the film proceeds. His character is portrayed as flawed and misunderstood which relates to the viewers on a more personal level. The audience notices the shrinking gap between themselves and Grant as the film continues and takes them deeper into Grant s life. The film as a whole is filmed with cinema vГ©ritГ© ... In this powerful quote we see her disappointment at being a woman in the bourgeoisie because of the lack of freedom. The woman is pinioned and lives by man. Emma becomes a mother from turning because of this. She baptized her daughter by a woman she met at the marquis prom and this suggests Emma fixation of the nobility. An important aspect of Flaubert s criticism is that Emma and HomaГЇs are similar in that they both want to be like the nobility and both like art, Emma plays the piano, read poetry, and like to write, HomaГЇs writing a book, but they still contrasts with each other strong. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The widely debated sixth extinction event, the Holocene extinction, is a man made weapon of mass destruction that has caused over 1000 extinct species in the past 500 years (Brannen). A mixture of deforestation, climate change, and other human impacted effects has made species die off 10 to 100 times faster than the usual background species extinction (Brannen). Well known creatures such as the Dodo Bird, Passenger Pidgeon, Tasmanian Wolf, and Golden Toad have all died due to the lack of care humans have shown for the natural world. Smithsonian paleontologist Doug Erwin, however, still maintains that the Holocene extinction is fake. Though humans have accelerated the extinction of some species and negatively impacted the environment, the actual amount of recent extinctions is almost insignificant. Compared to over half of all species dying off, a few thousand lost animals make nearly no mark in the fossil record (Brannen). Most animals and plants are not, or do not die in ways, suitable for fossilization. This makes the fossil record extremely incomplete. Some scientists estimate that the fossil record shows less than one percent of species that have actually lived. This means that only a truly massive extinction could cause a noticeable change in the record, so the Holocene extinction is most likely not occurring. Still, Erwin cautions us to watch our impact on the Earth and make sure ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Composers select particular form to best express their ideas on issues such as love and emotion, inherently influenced by their own context. Sonnets of the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barret Browning (EBB) were initially private, personal reflections, a poetic documentation of her courtship with Robert Browning during the Victorian period. In comparison, Crumb and Mairowitz version offers a version of the story in a way that the reader may not have been able to decipher in the original. Franz Kafkas original is told with an omniscient third person narrator. The all knowing narrator can weave in and out of different characters thoughts. Also, this distinct narration is beneficial to tragedy of the story because even though the narrator seems to know everything about the story, not everything is revealed to the audience, for example, why hungerartists became unpopular. Garage Sale is an informal event for the sale of goods by private individuals, in which sellers are not required to obtain business licenses or collect sales tax though in some jurisdictions, a permit may be required. Typically the goods in a garage sale are unwanted items from the household with its owners conducting the sale. The conditions of the goods vary, but they are usually usable. The items are displayed to the passers by or those responding to flyers, classified ads or newspaper ads. Popular motivations for a garage sale are for cleaning, moving or earning extra money. The venue at which the sale is conducted is typically a garage, at a driveway, carport, and front yard or inside a house. Items typically sold at garage sales include old clothing, book, toys, household decorations, lawn and garden tools, sports equipment and board games. Larger items like furniture and occasionally home appliances are also sold Garage sale will be conducted with the end goal of raising funds to support the extension service of NSTP. The Rapid Growth Of Population Essay Introduction: The reason I chose this topic is because in my country Ethiopia the rapid growth of population alarmed me, just around the 1965 our population was very low however in the past few years it has tripled form 20 million to over 100 million. This was when my interest in my countries population developed. Population is one of the conversational topics when talking about a countries profile, in view of the fact that it plays a huge role, in a countries work force, consumption and economy. I will be collecting data and modelling them to predict the population for the next 5 to 10 years. I will also be doing this for Kenya to see the relationship between the two countries to prove that this rapid growth of population is happening not only in our country but in our neighboring countries too. The data collected is imprecise because it is affected by many variables. The mortality rate of the people in Ethiopia can affect my data highly. During this time Ethiopia had a high rate of migration, this could also be included as one of the variables that have affected my data. I will be using this set of data to draw a graph so that I can generate a model to represent this data so that I can use it to predict the population after five years. Year Population (in millions) 1 2015 99.3 2 2010 87.5 3 2005 76.6 4 2000 66.4 5 1995 57.2 6 1990 48.0 7 1985 40.8

Genetic engineering is the artificial manipulation, modification, and recombination of DNA or other nucleic acid molecules in order to modify an organism or population of organisms. It is not exactly a science in a broad sense, but a branch of biotechnology, which uses methods of molecular and biology, virology, and genetics. Genetic engineering on the human genome should be approved because it has the potential to make lives and the world better. Genetic disorders could be permanently eliminated, certain genes could be reactivated for regrowth of necessary cells, eliminating many neurological disorders, and delaying ageing, which would expand scientific research in order to many world complications. Through recombinant DNAtechniques, scientists have already experimented with bacteria and copied their cellular system that allows them to defend themselves from viruses in order to create a new restriction enzyme called Cas9, which then gets bound to an RNA guide strand. This new enzyme introduces new genetic material into the human genome as DNA replicates. This method will be useful for families members who carry harmful recessive alleles. Their babies could inherit the genetic disorder, but with recombinant DNA techniques, the harmful gene or genes could easily be replaced with a functional gene. Lauren Friedman, Senior editor for ... • 35. Principles Of Integrity In Public Administration There are three ethical principles that are the most important for officials to excel in the field of public administration. These principles are ranked below from 1 being the most important to 3 being important. Demonstrate personal integrity (1) There has not been much discussion about the code of ethics in the past administrations than in Trump Administration. Personal integrity is an asset in today s time where the political chaos runs the White House and where a hullabaloo takes place every week. The atmosphere of chaos prevails in the government and society, which causes disruptive governance to run in every level. In this presidency, there is a sense of aristocracy where the privileged class has taken over the voice of the people and only depends on those members of Congress who adhere to integrity to do what is right for the least privilege. Upbringing integrity to the best of one character brings out courage to overcome obstacles. It is not a secret that if officials who hold high positions and stand by their own decisions always fear repercussions, but with this administration, they fear dismissal. For example, the attorney general Saly Yates, who was fired after she defied the president s executive order banning people from seven Muslim majority countries entering the U.S. (Newsweek, 2017). Yet unlike Dante, who is more personally affected by his exile, Machiavelli sees Medici family s return to power as an opportunity to regain his own position, which is why he hopes to impress Lorenzo with The Prince. For him, betrayal is more expected under the circumstances, and so he hopes to play them at their own game. By feigning loyalty and kissing up to Lorenzo, Machiavelli improves his chances of obtaining power, even though he likely doesn t believe everything he s saying. For him, his true intentions or beliefs don t matter like with religion and betrayal, his deceitfulness is a useful political tool in a world of deceitful men. With the sixteenth century Florentine power struggle and religious tension, it was difficult for anyone to find stability. While Machiavelli experienced treachery firsthand through being banned from Florence, many Florentines could relate to a general lack of loyalty. During a time of political turmoil, aspiring leaders would have to hurt people in the process of gaining ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. Key Differences In The Tang Dynasty And Mughal Dynasties There are many key differences to both dynasties works. Firstly, in terms of display, the Tang Dynasty has more of a simple, serene look while Mughal has more of a crowded scenery. This shows a big difference in order considering Chinese works are more Confucian and Indian works are more Daoist. Secondly, the choices of colors are different as well because the Tang Dynasty limits colors to very somber ones with the only bright color is red to show influences. Mughal paintings have a variety of colors and different patterns that one may not know where to begin in looking at the painting. Thirdly, in space within the painting the Tang Dynasty has more space because it only puts one object as the spotlight with no background comparing to Mughal paintings which lack total space and show many things going on that one of high status is not always center of attention. Backgrounds within Mughal paintings are very detailed and show different aspects of life. Fourthly, a detailed difference between these paintings is that in the Tang Dynasty it is shown that an emperor who is standing is more powerful than one sitting, while Mughal is the complete opposite, as shown in the painting selected, because Akbar is sitting while he is one of highest status. • 44. Essay on Human Factors in Long-Duration Spaceflight A manned mission to Mars is an extremely dangerous excursion. Crewmembers can expect a six month flight to the planet, one year of occupation, and a six month travel back. During this period, numerous human factors challenges can complicate, and even ruin the entire mission. This paper will identify human factors challenges the crew will face, describe why they are so dangerous, and finally, identify ways to mitigate these challenges. The first challenge in a long duration spaceflight is almost immediately apparent after lift off, leaving the gravitational pull of Earth, and entering a micro gravity environment. Weightlessness can have several different impacts on the human body. Astronauts who orbit the Earth on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One way to do this is with extensive exercise. Not just two or three times a week for 30 minutes. Crewmembers must exercise six times a week for almost three hours at a time using equipment such as the ergometer, treadmill, and the Resistance Exercise Device (RED) ( Use It or Lose It, 2004). Another way to fight the effects of micro gravity is to create an artificial gravity. Creating artificial gravity can be done using one of two techniques, a rotation or acceleration. The entire spacecraft could rotate, or a single section of the spacecraft could do the rotation. This would give the astronauts the opportunity to live or weight train in a non weightless environment (Hsu, 2010). High acceleration and deceleration rates of the spacecraft could also provide a normal gravitational environment ( Space Travel, n.d.). Once the mission leaves the Earth s atmosphere and travels into space, the next challenge awaits. The Earth s atmosphere and magnetic field act as a shield and deter a large portion space radiation. Space radiation comes from our Sun in the form of solar radiation and also comes from outside our solar system in the form of cosmic rays (Gray, 2013). Radiation may be the most dangerous phenomenon a long duration spaceflight could face. Solar flares erupt from the Sun and send millions of tons of charged particles into space at speeds ... • 47. Parent and Child Relationships of Oedipus Rex and Live Alone In society, the sense of family is one of the core values in life. One of the most common relationships in a family is that of the parent and child. Throughout history, playwrights have composed pieces containing the impressionable relationship of a parent and a child. Sophocles and Deborah Salem Smith effectively use the strained relationships of Oedipusand Jocasta, and Helen Warren and Clementine to develop their plays Oedipus Rex and Love Alone. While both plays contain parentand child relationships, the type of relationship proves to be radically different. In Oedipus Rex, Jocasta serves as the Queen of Thebes and Oedipus is an abandoned son of Jocasta and current king of Thebes. In the beginning of the play, Oedipus, happily married to Jocasta, has several children with the Queen. Jocasta s first husband was King Laius, and together they gave birth to Oedipus. Jocasta and Laius heard a devastating prophecy, which stated that their son was going to kill his father and marry his mother. In order to avoid this prophecy, Jocasta and Laius bound Oedipus s ankles and left him on a mountainside to die. Ironically, Jocasta and Oedipus relationship was doomed the second Oedipus was born. In the play Love Alone, Susan, Helen Warren s partner and Clementine s biological mother dies due to complications while under surgery. The death of Susan, causes Clementine s and Helen s relationship to become closer than ever before, although at first it seems to be a little to close ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
