PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEW Below is a list of the projects we have done this year could you please mark the boxes in order of merit AS Photography 1 - Excellent 2 – Good 3 – Okay 4 – dislike 5 – Change Foundation *** Portraiture Landscape A2 Photography 1 - Excellent 2 – Good 3 – Okay 4 – dislike 5 – Change Curatorship leaflet *** Practical response *** In regards to the above projects could you write a brief summary on what you felt went well I like the Curatorship task but I feel we need to drop thedissertation or at least make it as important as the marks that it gains. Students put too much importance on it and not enough on practical and this really affected work output this year. It needs to be just a short essay that spans a few weeks not a whole term.Icant comment on the AS work because I haven’t seen this but from what Ive seen before the foundation stage looks great. What needs to be changed improved Dissertaion importance needs to change. I think they could get this out of the way during the summer term of AS-A2 transition, then purely focus on practical in Year 13. I also think its not been great teaching in Music rooms as students just are not as prepared to work. Maybe more practical work is expected in Year 13 lessons. They all seem to be on Weebly all the time, rather than doing any practical. Do you have any other schemes or topic ideas that could be added? Are there any cross

The studio Do you feel the studio works well can you suggest any changes that need to be made this could include any equipment / software that you feel should be ordered Studio works well I think. I don’t think Year 13 use it enough though. Too much Weebly work! Printing Do you have any suggestion on how this process can be improved make reference to the outsourcing of prints to photobox Ive not had much to do with ordering from photobox so cant really tell you! Weebly / Flickr / Blog / Facebook / Twitter Have these been successful are there improvements that we need to make. All these things are great in their own right but the problem comes from using too many pieces of software. We have the shared area, MLE, google docs, weeblyflickr, facebook. Etc. Its too much. I think we need to pick one and everthing works through one site. Stair exhibition are we making the best use of this space and other areas around the school I think it needs to be more formal set up exhibition like the end of course exhibition. It would give them practice on how to hang work and it would focus them more.
