SOFT LIGHT

Soft Light- soft light is when the
light tends to diffuse the shadows
with soft edges, I created this photo
by taking it unexpectedly the create
a natural reaction I also look it
outside on a sunny day to get the
    most natural light as possible.
HARD LIGHT

Hard light- Hard light is when the
lighting of the photograph shows
the shadows and sharp edges, it
also shows the defects of a
person, I created this photo by
using the sun light as the main
source of light to create a natural
               effect.
WHITE BALANCE

White balance In photography is the
amount of light being allowed into the
lenses, I created these photos by
setting the first on was set on
incandescent and then I set the second
photo on fluorescent light-3 and the
           last one on shade.
RULE OF TRIANGLES

Rule of triangles - Rule of triangles is
used to create a more balanced photo
using triangles
RULE OF THIRDS

Rule of thirds is a way to balance
out a picture to create a more
  interesting balanced picture, this
shows rule of thirds because the the
grid is inline with the edge of the
   landscape photo. I created this
photo by finding a location with a
straight edged landscape to fit to the
                  grid.
RULE OF EVEN
RULE OF ODDS

Rule of odds - The rule of odds
states that images are more visually
appealing when there is an odd
        number of subjects.
RULE OF SPACE

Rule of Space- rule of space
suggest that the subject is not
looking into the camera or out of
the frame because the
photograph intrigues the viewer. I
created this photo by using the sun
as a main feature in the picture it
also makes you think what subject
is thinking.
SYMMETRY

   Symmetry- Symmetry in
  photography is where the
   picture is continually the
same and if you split the you
 split the photograph down
the middle it would be the
  same, i created this photo
 because the everything is in
     line with each other
DEPTH OF FIELD

Depth of Field- depth of field
is the amount of focus in the
     picture and this shows the
distance of the subjects in the
picture, a shallow depth of field
is where the a certain part of
the image is in focus this is
        mainly used in macro
   photography, large depth of
field is where the whole of the
image is in focus. I created this
  photo because the only thing
living in the photo is the
fake butterfly on the candle box
so that's why it is in focus.
PORTRAIT

Portrait- portrait photography is used
to show the true expression, mood or
personality of the person or subject, I
created this photo by taking multiple
photos of my subject to form a
             natural photo.
STUDIO LIGHTING SET UP

There are four main pieces of equipment when setting up the lighting in a
studio and they are a key light, fill light, hair light and a umbrella.
Key light- the key light is the main source of light in the studio
Fill light- the fill light is used to fill the shadows
Hair light- the hair light is used to light up the hair color
Umbrella- the umbrella is used to reflect the light away from the subjects eyes
HEATH AND SAFETY

There are many heath and safety issues when setting up a studio for example
the flash of the camera could damage your eyes, the solution for this is using a
umbrella to suppress the light but there still hazards with using an umbrella
because of the sharp edges of the umbrella but there is no solution around
this except just being careful. The wires in a studio are also tripping hazard for
the people working in the studio but it is stopped but taping all wires to the
floor. The bulbs used to create a natural light are often very bright and can
cause damage to the subjects eyes this is prevented by more umbrellas and not
looking straight at them. The electricity is the main hazard in a studio the only
way to prevent yourself getting hurt is being carful when around the electrical
equipment.
