FINAL PROJECT
Goal:
The students of Philosophy of Education will design a 1-hour class in which they will prove that they
know how to apply the different theories that we studied, analyzed and criticized in the class during
this semester.
Procedure:
Every class (morning and afternoon) will be divided in 2 sections of approximately 12-14
students. You will find the lists of the groups in the Facebook page of the class.
Every group has to be divided in 4 main JOBS
JOBS:
o T. Teachers (3-4) The teachers will be in charge of carrying on the activity. They
perform the activities and they will be evaluated according to the control they must
show in class. Remember that they need to take the role of the teacher according to
the theories they are performing.
o PT. Planning Team (3-4) The responsibility of this team is to create the lesson plan
of the class. Their role is essential because they need to show in their lesson plan,
that they are applying the 6 different theories that we studied (Read the section
LESSON PLAN REQUIREMENTS) They will be evaluated according to the lesson plan
presented.
o TMT. Teaching Materials’ Team (3-4): This group will be in charge of creating the
materials according to the specifications of the Planning Team. Remember that the
materials need to reflect the purpose of each one of the theories. This team will be
evaluated according to the characteristics of the material.
o PAT. Philosophical Analysis Team (3-4): This students need to explain clearly what
the moments of application of the theories are and they must be prepare to answer
any question regarding materials, activities and performance. They will be evaluated
according to the knowledge they prove about the class they will do.
LESSON PLAN REQUIREMENTS
o Class data: number of students, age, level of English, Previous Topic, Topic of the
class, Competencies.
o Duration: 45 minutes of Class (T., PT and TMT), 10 minutes of explanation (PAT) and
5 minutes defense
o Activities: Minimun 4 activities in the class
o Include a warm-up

PRESENTATION DATE
The presentation will be done on Friday, December 9th in class schedule. The afternoon class will
present the same day but from 7 to 9 PM.
