Early Stage Melanoma
Melanoma is a disease that develops in the cells of the skin (melanocytes). These are the cells that
produce melanin, which is the pigment that gives skin its color. Melanoma can also be found in the
eyes or internal organs such as the intestines. While melanoma is the most serious form of skin
cancer, the source is idiopathic. Despite the cause being idiopathic, it is known that ultraviolet
radiation from sources such as sunlight, and tanning beds increase the risk of melanoma
development. Melanoma may be the most serious type of skin cancer, but it is still treatable if it is
detected early. The oldest evidence of melanomas existence was found in Peru and is dated to be
from the 4th century BC. However, the first recorded description of... Show more content on

Triumph Des Willens Film Analysis
Triumph des Willens Film Review Triumph des Willens (Triumph of the Will) is a film directed
by Leni Riefenstahl that was commissioned by Adolf Hitler. The film details events around the
1934 Nuremberg Congress, the people who were in the rally and how they responded to it.
Triumph is fundamentally a pro Hitler film that was meant to be a documentary that records
history as it happened (Barsam 1975, p12). In essence though it was a propaganda film meant to
unite Germany under Hitler s regime. As in any good propaganda film Triumph focused on
portraying the good points of the Nazis and not a single negative point was seen about them in
the film. Hitler knew that for the film to be a success as a propaganda film showcasing too much
of a political view would cause Triumph to be less successful. That is why he wanted the film to
be more artistic and aesthetic. The film itself was described to be aesthetic, not political
(Levinson 1998, p237). This did not mean though that the film was not political. Triumph was
filmed in a way that it subtly expresses the political views and standpoints of the Nazi party to
involve and manipulate the people who were not interested in politics. The main purpose of the
film was to garner support for Hitler s regime be they in the form of inspiring people into joining
the army, or other supporting assets for Germany such as farmers, miners, fishers or labourers.
Techniques in how these were achieved will be discussed in this review as well as its reception
both domestically and internationally. There were various techniques used in the films in order to
catch the intended audience and manipulate the German people into believing and helping Hitler s
cause. An example of this is how in Hitler s speeches he made no clear distinction between
Germany, its people and the Nazi Party. This leads to people being indoctrinated into believing that
the Nazi Party was synonymous with Germany. Another technique used were the scenes in the
films about the military. To be specific the scenes showcasing the military camps. In these scenes
the personnel were having fun and bonding through activities such as wrestling, having fun while
taking a bath and other activities backed up with a soundtrack

Prejudice And Stereotypes
Prejudice is a hostile or negative attitude toward people in a distinguishable group. We can all be
affected by prejudice for the things that make us different from one another. Our brain naturally
puts people into different categories, and the differences can influence our preference of them.
When we put people in different categories, we often make assumptions about these categories
based off of their differences. Schemas are a mental shortcut that allows us to think about
something faster. As we are growing up, we are making a ton of schemas for everything, including
groups of people. A stereotypecan be a schema because they think of a group of people as
something and easily associate the characteristics and the group of people. These assumptions...

Soon, everytime Rosa speaks to you, she speaks loudly because she assumes you cannot hear her
from past experience. This confirms your belief that Rosa, and other people of that group, are
loud. There is also the issue of stereotype, this is in which victims are concerned that if they
follow a common stereotype about them, they are confirming it and not helping the situation,
making it worse. For example, in my experience, because I am Hispanic, people assume that I
really like spicy food. Sometimes, I feel that I should express how much I like spicy food
because I worry that it just confirms people s stereotypes about Hispanic people so I am tempted
to act unlike myself and lie in order for them to believe differently. Stereotype threat can also affect
victims because they are reminded of their stereotype and subconsciously act towards that
stereotype. For example, the stereotype that women are not as smart as men in math and science
are likely to do poorly on tests that remind them of that stereotype ( Indicating you are a woman on

The Correlation Between Amounts Of Time Spent Playing...
What is the relationship between the amounts of time spent playing video games and your amount
of sleep?
Introduction
Nearly every day, you can read articles about urbanized countries throughout the world, with
issues or concerns arising from individuals playing video games for excessive amounts of time.
Individuals form addictions to a surge in excessive or violent behaviors, commonly found
among teens or younger children. Studies also indicate playing excessive amounts of video
games can also have an effect on your sleeping patterns in a negative way. For instance, playing
an extreme amount of video games prior to going to bed may create a more difficult time in
falling asleep. So, I decided to take on a similar yet different type of study to discover out how
much video gaming an average high schooler plays each night and how this may affect how many
hours of sleep he/she receives. I was unable to find any online articles for this type of study, so I
decided to find out for myself using the high school population at a local school. As the study
began, I did believe that students who participated in excessive video gaming may receive less sleep.
Statement of Task
The focus of this study was to investigate if the amount of time students spend playing video games
each evening may have an influence on the quantity of sleep the average high school student
receives. To determine this, I requested teachers to allow me to survey students during school hours

The Influence of Jerry Garcia on American History
The Influence of Jerry Garcia on American History The vocalist and guitarist of the Grateful Dead,
Jerry Garcia was one of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century, impacting both the
musical and cultural realms. Jerry Garcia was fated to become one of America s most influential
people ever since he was born into Jose Garcia s household. During his childhood, Jerry Garcialived

him closer changing the path of American music and culture. Jerry Garcia was a member of the

Jerry was not only interested in musical arts but he also drew and painted often and enrolled in
the San Francisco Art Institute to study and practice the visual arts. For his fifteenth birthday,
Jerry Garcia received an electric guitar, his favorite instrument so far; by this time, Jerry was
already playing the banjo and the piano. Soon after, Jerry joined his first band, the Chords,
solidifying his destiny as a musician. Jerry Garcia s most obvious influences deal with music and
the modern pop music band s role. He has changed the way music is produced, the way music
relates to its listeners, and how the band interacts with its fans. Jerry Garcia was the renaissance
man of the 1960 s singing, writing, and playing many instruments including the acoustic, bass, and
electric guitars, the banjo, and the piano, which was a revolutionary idea for the time. He and the
Grateful Dead worked to successfully enable the elimination of a record company in the music
world. Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead all worked together blending different musical genres to
create new styles of music that will continue into modern day. Jerry Garcia is largely responsible
for the revolution in the identity of the music artist, for the increase in popularity of the live album,
for the divergence of many musicians from record companies, and for the changes in bands touring

Causes Of The Shoreham Air Show Crash
We are very sad to hear the news of the Shoreham Air Show crash on the afternoon of Saturday
22 August. It all started when the Hawker Hunter, a 1950s plane, failed to complete an acrobatic
loop and suddenly lost control. The pilot of the plane, Andy Hill, survived the crash but remains
in a critical condition in hospital with multiple injuries. He was a very experienced pilot and
was one of the top RAF pilots this is why it was very unusual for the crash to happen. It crashed
unexpectedly on to the A27 in West Sussex causing devastation and loss of 11+ lives. Police are
still investigating what the cause of the crash was. The A27 is now closed for several days while
investigators find out why the plane crashed into the busy road at more

be wrong to say that the metropolitan police and other officials involved in the investigation of the

Speech style basically focuses on the use of language varieties and accents as well as social
markers. Whilst viewing the documentary, the speech style of Stagg, and the speech style of
Hanscombe was extremely different. The way these two personalities talked revealed the
diverse social status that they were from. For Stagg, his language had words that were mostly
used by people who had basic education and did not have good knowledge about matters (Ting
Toomey, Chung, 2012). The accent used by Stagg did not reveal that he had good education and
rather, he seemed to stick to the easy words that would convey his message easily to the other
person. For Hanscombe, the way he talked and revealed his side of story and feelings showed that
he has had good education. The use of language varieties by Hanscombe showed his feelings
through those words and what his emotions were. Hanscombe was continuously keeping his tone
calm and trying to smile whenever he could, which in a way can be said that he was hiding his
emotions whilst remembering the entire trauma that he and his son went through. When the
interviewer asked Hanscombe about the abiding memory of Rachel, he smiled and said Rachel s
smile was difficult to forget. The tone in which he answered the question revealed that he was
feeling too emotional, yet he controlled it. The listener could connect to Rachel s partner in that

How important was the Second Reform Act (1867) in...
How important was the Second Reform Act (1867) in Disraeli s emergence as Conservatives
leader? This question focuses on the importance of the Second Reform Act in Disraeli s rise to
the top of the Conservative Party and his emergence as the leader. In order to decide on the
relative importance of the Send Reform Act, I will also consider other factors, which impacted
on Disraeli s emergence, including the 1846 split of the Conservative party and the death of
George Bentinck, Derby s ineffective leadership, Palmerston s death in 1865 and Disraeli s
determination and political skill. The split of the Conservative in 1846 due to the repeal of the
Corn Laws and the following death of Bentinck were important factors in allowing Disraeli... Show

He managed to make this Bill seem radical enough to satisfy the Radicals and other pressure
groups, while allowing some amendments, which appeased the Liberals. This was crucial o
passing the bill since the Conservatives were in a minority. Whilst boosting Disraeli s reputation
and showcasing his political skill, the Second Reform Act also brought Disraeli popularity
among his own MP s. This links to Derby s leadership, because it was after this Act that Derby
recommended Disraeli to Queen Victoria as his successor. Therefore, it was Disraeli s
determination and political skill that passed an act which led to his leadership of the
Conservative Party. There is no doubt that Disraeli possessed a huge amount of political skill
and having assessed all of the factors, I think that this was the most important factor in
explaining his emergence as Conservative leader. Despite his disastrous maiden speech,
Disraeli was a fantastic orator, and this skill was paramount in attacking Peel over the repeal of
the Corn Laws and in cementing his leadership. His determination was proven when he showed
his competence and sound grasp of financial matters in his Budgets of 1858 and 1866,
overcoming his heavy defeat with his 1952 Budget. Disraeli showed his political skill and insight
in recognizing the need for the Party to adopt a more progressive and pro Reform approach, and
he worked hard to convince the backbench members of his party to drop

3.0 Causes of Stress
Stressors can be divided into those that arise from within an individual (internal), and those that are
attributable to the environment (external). Internal conflicts, non specific fears, fears of
inadequacy, and guilt feelings are examples of stressors that do not depend on the environment.
Internal sources of stress can arise from an individual s perceptions of an environmental threat, even
if no such danger actually exists. Environmental stressors are external conditions beyond an
individual s control. Bhagat (1983) has reported that work performance can be seriously impaired
by external stressors. There are many aspects of organizational life that can become external
stressors. These include issues of structure, management s use of authority, monotony, a lack of
opportunity for advancement, excessive responsibilities, ambiguous demands, value conflicts, and
unrealistic workloads. A person s non working life (e.g., family, friends, health, and financial
situations) can also contain stressors that negatively impact job performance. This can be
summarized as follows. i. Organizational factors With the growth in organizational stress and

Sal Paradise
In the novel On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Sal Paradise is introduced as a man who is seeking a
way to escape responsibilities he has in his life. Sal finds his way out in a man named Dean
Moriarty, an independent man who lives a carefree life on the road without any responsibilities as
he travels to new places in search of new kicks (Kerouac). Sal begins to idolize Dean s way of life
and quickly adopts it as his own and sets out on the road. Sal follows Dean looking to him for
guidance, and much like a child adopts the views and personality of their parents until they grow
old enough to forge their own opinions, Sal adopts Dean s views and personality as his own. In

Because of his shortsighted tendencies, Dean only focuses on himself and his goals of finding
new experiences, and he does not let anyone or anything keep him from perusing his goals no
matter the consequences. This is best seen by the many times Dean gets married and fathers
children only to abandon them to go back on the road. Sal mentions this stating, Every new girl,
every new wife, every new child was an addition to his bleak impoverishment. (Kerouac 132). In
Jack Kerouac s On the Road : A Re Evaluation by Carole Gottlieb Vopat, Vopat compares a
common theme about the characters in On the Road that explains the reasons for Dean s single
minded actions. Kerouac s characters take to the road not to find life but to leave it all behind:
emotion, maturity, change, decision, purpose, and, especially, in the best American tradition,
responsibility; wives, children, mistresses, all end up strewn along the highway like broken
glass. (Vopat). Because Dean does not want to take on any responsibilities and does not want
close and emotional relationships, he chooses to take to the road and run from them. Over time
Sal experiences more of Dean s actions as well as the effects of his actions which leads to a change
in Sal which will lead to his eventual and complete separation from

Women Should Be Integrated Into Combat Positions
Women should be integrated into combat positions such as infantry, artillery, and Special Forces.
If a woman chooses this kind of challenge, then she is more than capable. Women are as tough as
men. They can do what a man can do, and if that is going into combat then yes, why not? Women
can fight, shoot, run, work hard, and win for this country like the men of this country do. Women
have been in combat for a long time, but now women are actually in combat rather than helping the
men out with injuries, being a laundresses, a cook, and a nurse. Women can go into combat, just
like a man.
Women should be let onto infantry and artillery positions. Women have been involved in our nation
s military since the Revolutionary War, serving not only as nurses and cooks, but also supplying
water to thirsty soldiers on the battlefield. Throughout history, men have always fought our battles
while women stood by, but what if I told you that in some countries, women are fighting alongside
men inside combat zones? Here in the U.S., there is an immeasurable disagreement about equality
in the military. One of the supporting arguments is that several other countries outside the U.S.
already have women serving on the front lines. Countries such as Canada, New Zealand, and
Australia, all have allowed women to serve in any type combat that they qualify in and or meet
requirements. While there are several countries that don t allow women in combat, the U.S. has
recently had the biggest sparring

Dna Protein Protein Structure
DNA Polymerase
Proteins are arguably the most structurally and functionally complex structures known to man.
Through evolution spanning billions of years, these macromolecules have been perfected to
perform many functions necessary for life. Proteins contain four distinct levels of structure and are
composed of simple organic compounds known as amino acids. (Alberts, Bruce et al 2000) Amino
acids are joined together by peptide bonds made during protein biosynthesis, and the linked amino
acid chain is known as a polypeptide chain. DNA determines the amino acid sequence and the
sequence is what determines the primary level of protein structure. This level of structure
determines the protein s shape, which affects the assembly and function of ... Show more content on

This level is formed whenever multiple polypeptide chains come together to design a single
protein. Some proteins are only composed of one single polypeptide chain, and therefore, do not
have a quaternary level of structure. The four various levels of protein structure give a small
insight into how structurally complicated proteins really are. Functionally, proteins are just as
diverse, if not more, as they are structurally. They are responsible for providing structural support
of the cell, aiding biochemical reactions, assisting the plasma membrane, and a multitude of other
functions. One important aspect of proteins are enzymes, which is a type of protein that catalyzes
biochemical reactions in the cell. A clear majority of enzymes are proteins, but not all proteins are
enzymes. It is safe to say, that without proteins, life would not be possible.
DNA polymerase is an extremely vital protein, located in all cells, that is capable of synthesizing
DNA from nucleotides. (Bebenek, Katarzyna et al 2004) It is also classified as an enzyme, which
means it acts as a catalyst to kick start a biochemical reaction in the cell. While the function of this
protein may sound simple, it is anything but. This protein not only copies the DNA, but also
proofreads and corrects any mistakes in the DNA sequence. With the hefty responsibility of
replicating DNA and passing genetic information from generation to generation, DNA polymerase
is one of the most significant enzymes

Athletes Should Not Be Allowed In College
If you were an athlete going to play professional sports, academics wouldn t be as foremost as

Although, it was only one victory, a victory it was for the labor movement. In 1898, Williams v

several important foreign policy issues during his term. One of the biggest was the Spanish

The scale ranged from zero, for exclusively heterosexual with no experience with or desire for
sexual activity with their same sex, to six, for exclusively homosexual with no experience with or

The Kinsey Scale made homosexual behavior, not only more common, but also less pathological.
Alfred Charles Kinsey s work supports Historian Dagmar Herzog s findings by comparing
Europeans reactions to Kinsey s research on homosexuality. With Americans reactions Kinsey s
research had a profound effect on the gay subculture in the United States ( The Kinsey Institute

world. Historian Dagmar Herzog argues that activists for homosexual rights in France and West
Germany were thrilled by Kinsey s research that showed heterosexual and homosexual behaviors as
being on a continuum rather than as a dichotomy between gay and straight (Herzog, 2006). This is
ultimately due to the fact that in West Germany homosexuality was still illegal and in

encouragement of diversity have to begin right at the start of a person s legal education? In this

It cannot be denied that the situation has improved drastically, for instance, between 1978 and
2008 there was an increase of 332% in the number of female solicitors. However there is still a
long way to go to achieve a truly diverse legal profession, for example, in 2008, a study found
that out of solicitors who had entered the profession 10 19 years ago, 77% of men had reached
partner whereas only 48% of women had. This is not a problem limited to England and Wales,
and the President of the American Bar Association has argued that the first step towards a more
diverse legal profession is to develop our understanding of the roots of discrimination . According
to feminist scholar Carrie Menkel Meadow, unless we can radically alter legal education, we will
not be able to reconstruct our legal system or our society . The parity in numbers of male and
female solicitors that become partners mentioned above is often explained away, and there is a
common refusal to accept that this is a result of in house discrimination. Instead, male domination
of the more lucrative specialties...so important for promotion is said to be due to the discriminatory
behaviour of clients (though why such requests are endorsed remains to be seen). Sommerlad and
Sanderson have argued that even today the legal profession remains a masculine domain.

Descriptive Essay On A Hot Day
BRRRRINGGGGGG!!! The alarm stopped right away because my hand smacked it quiet. I

Lazily, I got out of the twin size bed, and walked a foot over to where our bathroom was. It took

An Analysis Of Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales
An Analysis of Chaucer s Miller in the Canterbury Tales Many characters in Geoffrey Chaucer s
Canterbury Tales link to the different social classes in England during the Medieval Period. The
Miller is a crude character who tells an entertaining, yet inappropriate tale on a pilgrimage to
Canterbury Cathedral. In the Prologue to the Canterbury Tales, Chaucer describes the Miller as a
bold, garrulous man and shows the morally incorrectness of the Miller. The Miller tells a vulgar
but suitable story which classifies him as a man of low social status with an uncouth, shrewd
sense of humor. Narrating his tale directly after the Knight s noble and honorable tale, the Miller
tells a tale degrading romanticism and love while exhibiting adulterous relationships. The vulgarity
of his tale is one example of the Miller s low social class. During the Middle Ages, a miller was
generally a middle or low class man who owned or operated a wheat mill. The social rank of a
miller could vary, as explained by Jeffery Singman and Will McLean in Daily Life in Chaucer s
England, People s positions in the hierarchy were considered to be of great importance, but
sometimes the precise gradation weren t entirely clear . . . However, it might be hard to tell
whether the local miller was a more important man than the local smith (9). Singman and Mclean
are saying that one can not categorize a miller into a specific social class, but can generalize a
miller in the low to middle class in

Comparing and Contrasting Odysseus and Percy Jackson
Why are not all humans exactly the same? What separates humans apart from each other, aside
from their external appearance? Each individual human being is unique and extraordinary, due to
the different characteristics they possess. Granting the fact that humans having similar qualities is a
frequent occurrence, no two individuals attain identical personalities. Comparing and contrasting
the characteristics of Odysseus, the main character in The Odyssey, an Epic Poem taking place in
ancient Greek culture, and Percy Jackson, the main character in the novel The Lightning Thief,

Are Diesels Better Than Gasoline Engines
Are diesels better than gasoline engines? A significant segment of the consumer market thinks so,
especially in Europe where such engines compose nearly half the vehicles purchased. In the US,
diesels have had difficulty gaining acceptance, with heavy duty pickup trucks and German luxury
cars offering them. But with Audi currently snagged in the Volkswagen diesel scandal mess, a
negative light has been cast on these engines, with some insisting that they re far dirtier than what
manufacturers say they are. Fortunately, not all manufacturers are being dissuaded by such
negativity. Chevrolet now supplies a turbo diesel for its popular midsize pickup trucks, Nissan

Revolt Of 1381 Research Paper
The Peasants Revolt of 1381 was an important uprising in much of England during the medieval
time period. It is also known as Wat Tyler s Rebellion and The Great Rising. It was one of the first
popular uprisings in England, and over very important issues. The feudal system, serfdom, the
Statue of Laborers (originally spelled Labourers), little to no pay, tithes, poll tax, and the general
unfairness of the time led to tensions, and action being taken. The feudal system did not have
balance, and left much of the population unhappy.
The king was at the top. He was in complete control, owning all of the land in the country, and
only gave out land to his trustees. Next were the barons, who had manors. They lived on the king s
land, but were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
John Bampton, an English churchman, was sent to check on why the poll tax wasn t being
paid. The villagers were armed, and organized. He asked one village representative, Thomas
Baker, why the tax had not been paid. Baker claimed that the tax had already been paid by the
village and that no money was owed. Baker was then to be arrested, and the villagers got violent.
News of the revolt spread quickly in the area. Several groups of revolting peasants travelled
around, village to village, spreading the word. A leader came out among the rebels, names Wat
Tyler. Eventually, they began to march to London. When they got there, they wreaked havoc.
They ransacked parts of the city, burning some along the way. King Richard decided to meet
with the rebels, out of the city. Here, rebel leader Wat Tyler told the peasants terms to the king.
He said that price of living was to be reduced. Also, the poll tax to be removed, there were to be
pardons for all rebel, and that peasants would have rights and privileges. While this happened, a
group of peasants took advantage of the situation. They raided the Tower of London and beheaded
some people there. The king could not let that go by unanswered. Another meeting was arranged,
with just Wat Tyler and a few of his closer followers, and the king with some of his men. Wat Tyler
was killed here, after purportedly disrespecting the king, but his death seems to be something not all

Compare and Contrast of Promotional Campaigns Between Competing Sports Organizations
Objective
The objective of this study is to compare and contrast promotional campaigns of competing sports
organizations. This study will document incentivization tactics employed and how these tactics
differ. As well, this study will examine how the incentives are communicated to the consumer and
answer what is the ratio between price based and non price based incentives.
Introduction
For the purpose of this study the sports organizations chosen are those of Alabama college football
teams at the University of Auburn and the University of Alabama. These two teams are long time
rivals in the Southeastern Conference and when the two play one another, it creates a great deal of
competition and excitement in the Southern states.
I. Auburn Tigers

TV Rating Research
The main purpose of doing this research on the relationship between fantasy football participation
and TV rating is if playing fantasy football helps influences people to watch televised games of
the National Football League (NFL). The main reason of me doing this research is because I truly
believe in this study and I have past experience of being part of the human beings that have helped
the NFL on their TV ratings.
With this research topic I will be answering three research question. My primary research question:
Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an increase in TV
ratings in those games? Second research question: Having NFL players that are on high winning
teams increase TV ratings? Third research question: A gamewith a small margin of victory increase
TV ratings.
Research Question One
Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an increase in TV
ratings in those games? To find results you have to look at players that were starting in fifty
percent to ninety percent of leagues. Also need to look at results from Sunday night football,
Monday night football, NFL on CBS, and NFL on ESPN. I found some great tables to help picture

opposite. They had notable results with players starting in greater than fifty percent of

Designing A Graphic Organizer That May Provide An Overview...
In researching and finding information to develop a graphic organizer that could provide an
overview of various types of assessments was insightful. Reading assessments are often
mandated by a school district or state to determine where student are academically. In the case
of reading test, the data received is supposed to give the assessor and idea of defects and growth
of the reader. But is the information received from just one assessment tool giving an accurate
and complete picture of reading skills. Assessments may determine if a student is reading with
fluency, can comprehend what they have read, are able to decode words, and so on. Because of
the variety of assessments it was difficult to narrow the field and select just five. Familiarity with
the assessments assisted in my selection. The final five selected were; 1. Collection Portfolio
Assessment, 2.Miscue Analysis, 3.Running Record, 4. Criterion Referenced Tests and 5. Each tool
assesses reading in a variety of ways. The data they provide can determine the direction of current
and future reading instruction. In researching portfolio I learned that there were various format and
purposes. Portfolios can be the process oriented or product oriented. The formats I investigated
were collection, display and teacher/student portfolios. I selected Collection Portfolio to compare
with the other assessments tools. Again I selected this format because I was familiar with it. Even
with that I learned that there was

John Wesley s Sermon On The Scripture Way Of Salvation
John Wesley wrote in his Sermon 16 that the means of grace are understood as outward signs,
words, or actions ordained by God... to be the ordinary channels whereby (God) might convey to
men preventing, justifying, or sanctifying grace. Means are what happen outside of oneself and
the grace is what does the work inside of ourselves or another way to say this is to say the ways
we receive and experience grace. When we speak of the sacraments we refer to them as outward
signs of an inward and spiritual grace. The means of grace in the sacraments, means are the bread
and cup of communion and the water of the baptism and the liturgy spoken. These act in an
outward and physical way, but the real work is that of the invisible grace we receive. Another way
to think about this is how Wesley wrote in his sermon The Scripture Way of Salvation. On our
journey to sanctification, he states, what keeps us going on the journey are the means of grace,
whether they be for ourselves or done for others. His basic point was that once we are brought
into awareness of the grace and our need to repent and turn from our sin, the means provide the
nourishment our souls need to grow in grace. How else could one grow in grace than by means of
grace? The means of grace fall into two basic categories, works of piety and works of mercy and
each of these is divided into two more subcategories of individual practices and communal
practices or what I do and what we do together. Under works of piety

contrasting with the wild west . In director John Fords The searchers(Ford,1956,US) we see the
iconic John Wayne star in a celebration of the spirt that vanished with the taming of the American
wilderness. This is an indication of the system of the East taking hold and our heros evidently have

which is essentially everything that the audience sees, depicts an external world that sticks to the

be unobtrusive. The style itself suffers if the audience is reminded they are watching a film. On
occasions when a film does include visual distortions, there is almost always a narrative

Risk Assessment of Terrorism
Introduction A risk assessment happens to be a crucial element in recognizing mitigation measures.
It comprise of evaluating capability, cause, chance, and targeting. Assessing threats accurately is a
challenge for many countries. In most instances, attaching concerns to tangible and prospective
threats to a country security that is mostly open to policy makers remains a problem. Even agencies
that are generously and of highly, superior intelligence struggles to plan logical and well timed
threat assessments across the security scale. Risk assessment Terrorism is a main challenge to
assess the threats associated with the issue. The act comprise of unstructured associations of
extremely mobile individuals, whose objectives are nearly impractical to weigh without access to

assessing the threats from terrorist in the recent years is a significant preoccupation for security
agencies found in the Western countries. Faced with the common, destructive nurture related to
international terrorism common in the contemporary world, evaluating the degree and the threat
scope is critical (Zanders et al 2000). This makes selection of threats to help choose appropriate
measures to defend the state interests, which is a main concentration for political leaders in
Western countries. The fear that many terrorists resorts to usage of mass destruction weapons is

The Consequences Of Corporal Punishment In Public Schools
Disciplining a child can become a tedious task for parents and tutors. As a result, they believe that
punishment is the most optimal way to eliminate a misbehavior. Paddling, spanking, and hitting are
a small group of the harsh disciplinary practices used by adults. Such practices of physical
punishment are currently allowed in public schools in the United States. Many people argue that a
reasonable physical punishment on the children leads them to understand the consequences of
misbehaving. However, the word reasonable is an ambiguous term utilized to diminish the meaning
of such type of violence. Corporal punishmentcan be a momentarily disciplinary practice, which in
the long term, severely, impacts the children. Researchers have said that children exposed to more
corporal punishment tend to suffer certain psychological disturbances. Generally, they are more
likely to develop mental health problems, low self esteem, and antisocial behavior. Such issues
make them become vulnerable and depressive leading them in the long term to drugs or alcohol
abuse. Once the children reach their adulthood, they become extremely aggressive and the parent
child relationship gets substantially damaged. In the United states a large number of people believe
that such disciplinary practice is no longer present in our public schools system. According to a
letter recently written by John B. King Jr., U.S. Secretary of Education, twenty two states still allow
corporal punishment in school:

The Profession Of Nurse And Nurse Migration
World Health Organisation [WHO] (2009) indicates the profession of nurse is a key component
and major contributor to the global healthcare workforce. However, nursing worldwide has
significant disparities, notably apparent between developed and developing countries. Although
there are signs of improvement, much needs to be done to globalise the standards of nursing.
There is a substantial difference in the profession of nurse in Australia compared to India and the
issues encountered (Charles et al., 2014). In modern society the social stigmata and issue of
equality in regard to the profession of nurse in India remains visibly evident (Nair, 2012). Exposure
to poor workplace conditions impact job satisfaction and fuel the problem of skilled nurse shortages
and nurse migration (Timmons, 2014). The importance of high quality education is challenging
when faced with below average resources and unqualified teaching faculty (Evans, Razia, Cook,
2013). With The growth of nursing in India is significantly hindered due to factors of social status,
equality and education. The nursing profession in India, one of the fastest growing professions,
continues to demonstrate negative stigmatic labelling (Nair, 2011). Although attitudes are
changing, the social status of nursing in India remains plagued with archaic perceptions coupled
with cultural beliefs that modern nursing is still trying to challenge and overcome. Nursing in India

Problem Management Minimizes The Adverse Impact Of...
Ans1: Problem Management minimizes the adverse impact of incidents on the business and
enables root cause analysis to identify a permanent solution.
Problem Detection
Trend analysis is the key to spot the Problems. A Trend analysis helps in giving a proactive
approach to the Problem Management by which you can avoid the occurrence of the problem
earlier rather than resolving the problem at a later stage. The reports in ServiceDesk Plus gives
you information on identifying the real causes of Incidents created earlier and what should be
identified as a problem. Get the pattern of failure from an Item based reports (Report on Request
by Item and Report on Problems by Item) and identify the IT service which has to be improved.
Problem Logging
The Problem logging is critical as all the necessary information and conclusion from the incident has
to be captured while creating the Problem. Create a problem from the Incidents maintaining the
complete association and the information from it. Avoid duplicates by searching for similar
existing problems before the creation of a new Problem. Categorization
Problem categorization is very essential to avoid ambiguities. Service Desk Plus helps in applying
the incident categorization automatically to a Problem when it is created and this helps in keeping
the Problem technicians in the same level of understanding as the Incident technicians. When the

turf has many benefits. Central Washington University will be able to use the fieldmore hours per
day with no field recovery time needed, use it for more months out of the year in almost any type
of weather, save on maintenance costssuch as re sodding, watering and mowing, and cutting out
harmful chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides. Changing Central s football field from a grass
to turf field will help Central become a more sustainable campus... Show more content on

For the turf installation it is estimated to take 27 days off load turf rolls and place turf three days,
sew turf panels eight days, install field markings and decorative markings eight days, install infill
five days, remove construction entrance/clean up/demobilize/test field three days ().
Natural grass requires regular watering, fertilizing, mowing, seeding and pest control. On
average it takes 50,000 gallons of water a week to water a football field. With the price rates of
water in Ellensburg Washington 50,000 gallons a week add up to roughly $85. To keep the field
green and in the best playing conditions for the whole year it would cost the school $4,420. When
it comes to mowing there is a cost for the worker, cost for the gas, and cost for the machine. Along
with those costs the lawn mower is also releasing chemicals when being used causing pollution.
With the installation of a turf field it will reduce the amount of herbicides and pesticides that the
school will use, which cuts down on pollution of harmful chemicals.
Artificial turf does require some maintenance, including brushing, and watering but maintenance of
an artificial field is less continuous and less expensive than for natural grass. The amount of water

St. Vincent And The Grenadines Vs Guinea Essay
Case 2 5 St. Vincent and the Grenadines vs Guinea Facts: On November the 13th 1997, a St.
Vincent s and Grenadine agent filed a case against Guinea concerning the release of Marine
Vessel Saiga as well as its crew. The vessel had been taken into custody by the concerned
authorities after being suspected to be used for smuggling purposes. During its seizure, the

operating off the coast of Guinea. During the time of its arrest, the vessel was drifting within the
Exclusive Economic Zone of Sierra Leone.St. Vincent and Guinea happen to be state parties of
the United Nations Convention on the Law of the sea thus making the tribunal to have a
jurisdiction in this particular case. Procedure: Issues 1.Was the Saiga in breach of violating
customs laws while in the restricted economic zone of Guinea by refueling other vessels in these
waters? 2.Is Guinea in infringement of the UN rule, Article 292 for failing to not be in line with
the timely discharge of the vessel and crew upon getting the agreed bond? Holding: No Rule:
During its seizure by the concerned authorities, the vessel was not in any violation of the existing
laws that could link it to smuggling. The vessel was acting as a fishing fuel under the known facts
that it was only refueling other vessels in the sea area. Concurring opinion The International
Tribunal for the Law of the Sea made a decision in this case that

Social Movement Research Paper
To begin, the footage of the police s actions towards people like Michael Brown, Kajieme Powell,
and many other cases reveal the need for the six factors to help develop and support a social
movement. First, if they want to have a successful social movement they must obtain structural
plausibility. Meaning, if they want to produce and sustain a social movement, then they should have
a base or rights and equal freedoms obtained from our Founding Fathers. The structural plausibility
is in The Bill of Rights as it gives Americans freedoms and rights equally.Second, the structural
strain in this movement is the policestereotyping people of color by placing them into demeaning
categories such as suspicious, dangerous, and violent. Consequently, this... Show more content on

Forth, the precipitating event that prompted people to begin this movement is in videos showing
police abusing people of color without a legitimate reason. Furthermore, the increase of innocent
shootings of black people brought attention to Americans, the police, and even the President.
These shootings brought awareness and convinced others to put this serious issue to an end.
Fifth, the mobilization for action began from the community s desire for justice for what the
policemen did to many innocent black people. They started to intercede by creating protests and
bringing awareness to social media by using items such as hashtags. This showed in Michael
Brown s case when people began to organize protests called, No justice, no peace and hashtags, if
they gun me down as seen on Twitter (Complex News, 2014). People started to use social media
as their source of movement by revealing videos of the shootings and posts of the location of the
protests. Lastly, the President could not stop or silence the protesters and their voices other this

  • 2. Early Stage Melanoma Melanoma is a disease that develops in the cells of the skin (melanocytes). These are the cells that produce melanin, which is the pigment that gives skin its color. Melanoma can also be found in the eyes or internal organs such as the intestines. While melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer, the source is idiopathic. Despite the cause being idiopathic, it is known that ultraviolet radiation from sources such as sunlight, and tanning beds increase the risk of melanoma development. Melanoma may be the most serious type of skin cancer, but it is still treatable if it is detected early. The oldest evidence of melanomas existence was found in Peru and is dated to be from the 4th century BC. However, the first recorded description of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a later test, a larger sample population would be optimal to ensure that the results are consistent in all the various patients. • 3. Triumph Des Willens Film Analysis Triumph des Willens Film Review Triumph des Willens (Triumph of the Will) is a film directed by Leni Riefenstahl that was commissioned by Adolf Hitler. The film details events around the 1934 Nuremberg Congress, the people who were in the rally and how they responded to it. Triumph is fundamentally a pro Hitler film that was meant to be a documentary that records history as it happened (Barsam 1975, p12). In essence though it was a propaganda film meant to unite Germany under Hitler s regime. As in any good propaganda film Triumph focused on portraying the good points of the Nazis and not a single negative point was seen about them in the film. Hitler knew that for the film to be a success as a propaganda film showcasing too much of a political view would cause Triumph to be less successful. That is why he wanted the film to be more artistic and aesthetic. The film itself was described to be aesthetic, not political (Levinson 1998, p237). This did not mean though that the film was not political. Triumph was filmed in a way that it subtly expresses the political views and standpoints of the Nazi party to involve and manipulate the people who were not interested in politics. The main purpose of the film was to garner support for Hitler s regime be they in the form of inspiring people into joining the army, or other supporting assets for Germany such as farmers, miners, fishers or labourers. Techniques in how these were achieved will be discussed in this review as well as its reception both domestically and internationally. There were various techniques used in the films in order to catch the intended audience and manipulate the German people into believing and helping Hitler s cause. An example of this is how in Hitler s speeches he made no clear distinction between Germany, its people and the Nazi Party. This leads to people being indoctrinated into believing that the Nazi Party was synonymous with Germany. Another technique used were the scenes in the films about the military. To be specific the scenes showcasing the military camps. In these scenes the personnel were having fun and bonding through activities such as wrestling, having fun while taking a bath and other activities backed up with a soundtrack ... • 4. Prejudice And Stereotypes Prejudice is a hostile or negative attitude toward people in a distinguishable group. We can all be affected by prejudice for the things that make us different from one another. Our brain naturally puts people into different categories, and the differences can influence our preference of them. When we put people in different categories, we often make assumptions about these categories based off of their differences. Schemas are a mental shortcut that allows us to think about something faster. As we are growing up, we are making a ton of schemas for everything, including groups of people. A stereotypecan be a schema because they think of a group of people as something and easily associate the characteristics and the group of people. These assumptions... This confirms your belief that Rosa, and other people of that group, are loud. There is also the issue of stereotype, this is in which victims are concerned that if they follow a common stereotype about them, they are confirming it and not helping the situation, making it worse. For example, in my experience, because I am Hispanic, people assume that I really like spicy food. Sometimes, I feel that I should express how much I like spicy food because I worry that it just confirms people s stereotypes about Hispanic people so I am tempted to act unlike myself and lie in order for them to believe differently. Stereotype threat can also affect victims because they are reminded of their stereotype and subconsciously act towards that stereotype. For example, the stereotype that women are not as smart as men in math and science are likely to do poorly on tests that remind them of that stereotype ( Indicating you are a woman on the test before you ... • 5. The Correlation Between Amounts Of Time Spent Playing... What is the relationship between the amounts of time spent playing video games and your amount of sleep? Introduction Nearly every day, you can read articles about urbanized countries throughout the world, with issues or concerns arising from individuals playing video games for excessive amounts of time. Individuals form addictions to a surge in excessive or violent behaviors, commonly found among teens or younger children. Studies also indicate playing excessive amounts of video games can also have an effect on your sleeping patterns in a negative way. For instance, playing an extreme amount of video games prior to going to bed may create a more difficult time in falling asleep. So, I decided to take on a similar yet different type of study to discover out how much video gaming an average high schooler plays each night and how this may affect how many hours of sleep he/she receives. I was unable to find any online articles for this type of study, so I decided to find out for myself using the high school population at a local school. As the study began, I did believe that students who participated in excessive video gaming may receive less sleep. Statement of Task The focus of this study was to investigate if the amount of time students spend playing video games each evening may have an influence on the quantity of sleep the average high school student receives. To determine this, I requested teachers to allow me to survey students during school hours in an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The pilot of the plane, Andy Hill, survived the crash but remains in a critical condition in hospital with multiple injuries. For Stagg, his language had words that were mostly used by people who had basic education and did not have good knowledge about matters (Ting Toomey, Chung, 2012). The accent used by Stagg did not reveal that he had good education and rather, he seemed to stick to the easy words that would convey his message easily to the other person. For Hanscombe, the way he talked and revealed his side of story and feelings showed that he has had good education. The use of language varieties by Hanscombe showed his feelings through those words and what his emotions were. This question focuses on the importance of the Second Reform Act in Disraeli s rise to the top of the Conservative Party and his emergence as the leader. In order to decide on the relative importance of the Send Reform Act, I will also consider other factors, which impacted on Disraeli s emergence, including the 1846 split of the Conservative party and the death of George Bentinck, Derby s ineffective leadership, Palmerston s death in 1865 and Disraeli s determination and political skill. The split of the Conservative in 1846 due to the repeal of the Corn Laws and the following death of Bentinck were important factors in allowing Disraeli... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He managed to make this Bill seem radical enough to satisfy the Radicals and other pressure groups, while allowing some amendments, which appeased the Liberals. This was crucial o passing the bill since the Conservatives were in a minority. Whilst boosting Disraeli s reputation and showcasing his political skill, the Second Reform Act also brought Disraeli popularity among his own MP s. This links to Derby s leadership, because it was after this Act that Derby recommended Disraeli to Queen Victoria as his successor. Therefore, it was Disraeli s determination and political skill that passed an act which led to his leadership of the Conservative Party. There is no doubt that Disraeli possessed a huge amount of political skill and having assessed all of the factors, I think that this was the most important factor in explaining his emergence as Conservative leader. Despite his disastrous maiden speech, Disraeli was a fantastic orator, and this skill was paramount in attacking Peel over the repeal of the Corn Laws and in cementing his leadership. His determination was proven when he showed his competence and sound grasp of financial matters in his Budgets of 1858 and 1866, overcoming his heavy defeat with his 1952 Budget. Women can fight, shoot, run, work hard, and win for this country like the men of this country do. Women have been in combat for a long time, but now women are actually in combat rather than helping the men out with injuries, being a laundresses, a cook, and a nurse. Through evolution spanning billions of years, these macromolecules have been perfected to perform many functions necessary for life. Proteins contain four distinct levels of structure and are composed of simple organic compounds known as amino acids. (Alberts, Bruce et al 2000) Amino acids are joined together by peptide bonds made during protein biosynthesis, and the linked amino acid chain is known as a polypeptide chain. DNA determines the amino acid sequence and the sequence is what determines the primary level of protein structure. This level is formed whenever multiple polypeptide chains come together to design a single protein. Some proteins are only composed of one single polypeptide chain, and therefore, do not have a quaternary level of structure. The four various levels of protein structure give a small insight into how structurally complicated proteins really are. Functionally, proteins are just as diverse, if not more, as they are structurally. They are responsible for providing structural support of the cell, aiding biochemical reactions, assisting the plasma membrane, and a multitude of other functions. One important aspect of proteins are enzymes, which is a type of protein that catalyzes biochemical reactions in the cell. A clear majority of enzymes are proteins, but not all proteins are enzymes. It is safe to say, that without proteins, life would not be possible. DNA polymerase is an extremely vital protein, located in all cells, that is capable of synthesizing DNA from nucleotides. (Bebenek, Katarzyna et al 2004) It is also classified as an enzyme, which means it acts as a catalyst to kick start a biochemical reaction in the cell. While the function of this protein may sound simple, it is anything but. This protein not only copies the DNA, but also proofreads and corrects any mistakes in the DNA sequence. With the hefty responsibility of replicating DNA and passing genetic information from generation to generation, DNA polymerase is one of the most significant enzymes ... • 21. An Analysis Of Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales An Analysis of Chaucer s Miller in the Canterbury Tales Many characters in Geoffrey Chaucer s Canterbury Tales link to the different social classes in England during the Medieval Period. The Miller is a crude character who tells an entertaining, yet inappropriate tale on a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral. In the Prologue to the Canterbury Tales, Chaucer describes the Miller as a bold, garrulous man and shows the morally incorrectness of the Miller. The Miller tells a vulgar but suitable story which classifies him as a man of low social status with an uncouth, shrewd sense of humor. Narrating his tale directly after the Knight s noble and honorable tale, the Miller tells a tale degrading romanticism and love while exhibiting adulterous relationships. The vulgarity of his tale is one example of the Miller s low social class. During the Middle Ages, a miller was generally a middle or low class man who owned or operated a wheat mill. The social rank of a miller could vary, as explained by Jeffery Singman and Will McLean in Daily Life in Chaucer s England, People s positions in the hierarchy were considered to be of great importance, but sometimes the precise gradation weren t entirely clear . . . In researching and finding information to develop a graphic organizer that could provide an overview of various types of assessments was insightful. Reading assessments are often mandated by a school district or state to determine where student are academically. In the case of reading test, the data received is supposed to give the assessor and idea of defects and growth of the reader. But is the information received from just one assessment tool giving an accurate and complete picture of reading skills. Assessments may determine if a student is reading with fluency, can comprehend what they have read, are able to decode words, and so on. Because of the variety of assessments it was difficult to narrow the field and select just five. Familiarity with the assessments assisted in my selection. The final five selected were; 1. John Wesley s Sermon On The Scripture Way Of Salvation John Wesley wrote in his Sermon 16 that the means of grace are understood as outward signs, words, or actions ordained by God... to be the ordinary channels whereby (God) might convey to men preventing, justifying, or sanctifying grace. Means are what happen outside of oneself and the grace is what does the work inside of ourselves or another way to say this is to say the ways we receive and experience grace. When we speak of the sacraments we refer to them as outward signs of an inward and spiritual grace. The means of grace in the sacraments, means are the bread and cup of communion and the water of the baptism and the liturgy spoken. These act in an outward and physical way, but the real work is that of the invisible grace we receive. Another way to think about this is how Wesley wrote in his sermon The Scripture Way of Salvation. On our journey to sanctification, he states, what keeps us going on the journey are the means of grace, whether they be for ourselves or done for others. His basic point was that once we are brought into awareness of the grace and our need to repent and turn from our sin, the means provide the nourishment our souls need to grow in grace. How else could one grow in grace than by means of grace? The means of grace fall into two basic categories, works of piety and works of mercy and each of these is divided into two more subcategories of individual practices and communal practices or what I do and what we do together. Such practices of physical punishment are currently allowed in public schools in the United States. Many people argue that a reasonable physical punishment on the children leads them to understand the consequences of misbehaving. However, the word reasonable is an ambiguous term utilized to diminish the meaning of such type of violence. Corporal punishmentcan be a momentarily disciplinary practice, which in the long term, severely, impacts the children. Researchers have said that children exposed to more corporal punishment tend to suffer certain psychological disturbances. Generally, they are more likely to develop mental health problems, low self esteem, and antisocial behavior. Such issues make them become vulnerable and depressive leading them in the long term to drugs or alcohol abuse. Once the children reach their adulthood, they become extremely aggressive and the parent child relationship gets substantially damaged.
