Water Resources Management Response Paper
For this assignment, I chose my home in Coastal Georgia. This area includes Brunswick (city and
rural areas), St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island and Sea Island. I have had the privilege of contacting our
County Commissioner, Dale Provenzano, formally a board member for the Joint Water and Sewer
Commission, to enlighten me in the areas of water sourcing, demand, challenges, and solution
recommendations. Existing Water Sources and Water Demand in the Area The water supplied to the
Coastal Georgia Regions, including Savannah and Kingsland, come from the North Floridian Aquifer.
There are 2 parts to the North Floridian Aquifer, an upper and a lower; our water is drawn from the
lower aquifer (bgjwsc.org). The North Floridian Aquifer is actually ... Show more content on

For the saltwater plumes, a saltwater plume is a horizontally moving body of saline fluid that is
contained in the larger, fresh body of water. The plumes come about when there is heavy retraction
from the aquifers resulting in a saltwater intrusion. In order to keep the plume from reaching any of
the retraction sites, or wells, we must keep a close eye on the pumping amounts at each well. For
instance, Georgia Pacific shuts their machinery down for two weeks every summer, this causes the
plume to shift from the middle of two well sites to the well site being used the most. This can cause
the quality of the water to lessen as the taste will become salty and bitter. While there is an unlimited
supply of water coming from the aquifer, the rate at which the water is being retracted can cause the
water to become tainted with plumes, among many other problems and

Quality Of Earnings For Major Corporations
This paper examines the quality of earnings for major corporations. The quality of earnings is an
ongoing operation of corporations and other business alike, because the value of a business is the
current and future earnings of the firm (Schroeder et al, 2011). These earnings are usually updated
quarterly by a firm s financial analyst, which provide this for investors and other users of financial
information to make decisions about a firm s financial position in the market. However, there are some
differences in the quality of earnings throughout various industries, countries and by competitors. This
paper evaluates the quality of earnings for one major corporation for an assessment of its current and
future earnings. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX), Section 404 plays an important role in a firm s earnings
quality, reliability and relevance (Singer You, 2011). Additionally, they stated that the implementation
of the regulation helped firms reduce intentional misstatements and contributes to the earnings
reliability. During the process of evaluating the quality of earnings, there are some warning signs that
should be considered, in order to detect potential fraud or misstatement. These warning signs will be
discussed further, later in this paper. First, the quality of earnings will be discussed. Second, the
analysis of a major corporation to measure its quality of earnings. Lastly, warning signs will show
vulnerable areas where financial data can be manipulated. Prior to the measurements of quality of
earnings, there are two definitions that should be recognized; earnings quality and earnings
management. Earnings quality identifies the relationship between an entity s accounting income and
its economic income, which is attributable to high sales and low costs (Schroeder et al, 2011).
Earnings management is an attempt to use accounting techniques to produce financial reports and
present an overall positive financial position for a firm. Case 5 2 Earnings Quality a. Schroeder et al
(2011), provided a list of ideal measurements for discussing earnings quality. These measurements are
used by a firm s accounting professionals and financial users to assess

Analysis Of Swifty s Kid The Wall
1.) Being in a new neighborhood and a new school puts a kid in a difficult situation, and Rafe
Khatchadorian is no exception. When Swifty s Diner burns down it s bye bye Hills Village and hello
big city. One of the main disappointments Rafe faces is the fact that he will not be able to attend the
art school in which he had been accepted Airbrook. He fears that he will not make any new friends,
and that school will be a complete and utter disaster (much like his previous school year at Hills
Village Middle School). Things are looking up when he gets accepted to another art school in the city,
even better than Airbrook Cathedral School of the Arts. But it s not all he thought it would be, and he
has to learn to adjust to his new school. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Donatello. She was his old English teacher in Hills Village Middle School, and they were originally
enemies. But she was the one who helped him get into Airbrook and now she s the one who got him
an interview. Part of this book s charm was the irony and humor found in it. 10.) Rafe takes the
knowledge of his father s death pretty well. Learning that his father went overseas to fight in a war
and didn t really abandon them helped him accept his father s absence from his life, in a way. Finding
out about his father gave him a sense of closure no more wondering why he left and what happened to
him. Rafe s great uncle played a role in helping Rafe discover the truth about his father. He had told
Rafe that he needed to speak with his mother and in truth, this was exactly the right advice. It didn t
happen right away, but when it did, he finally learned the truth about his father. 11.) Moving back to
Hills Village is a positive move for everyone in Rafe s family. Rafe can get away from the crazy
drama that went down at Cathedral, yet still get the chance to have a good art education at Airbrook.

Tikki Book Comparison
Rikki tikki tavi Book vs. Movie
Cobras with their deathly bite, intimidating hood, and their upright posture. Rikki Tikki Tavi is a story
about a mongoose who is rescued by a boy and his family after there was a flood. He protects this
family from two king cobras named Nag and Nagaina. This is told in a short story by Rudyard Kipling
and it s also a movie. After reading and watching this story, there are more similarities than differences
in the characters of the birds, the snakes, and the muskrat.
In the movie and in the book the bird who helped Rikki was named Darzee. Darzee had a wife, but it
never gave her name. It was Darzee, the tailorbird, and his wife [Kipling 145]. The difference between

difference is that in the movie Rikki meets Chuchundra when they are outside and in the book they
meet in the bathroom. He went off for his nightly walk round the house, and in the dark he ran up

A Classroom Interaction Of Student And Faculty
ABSTRACT
In this project, we overcome the disadvantages of Traditional Classroom interaction of student and
faculty. The Virtual Classroom System replaces the manual system with online Interactive Classroom
using Java. What we are doing is actually defining a portal of social interaction where students can ask
questions and various teachers of that particular subject can answer. A discussion can also be started
about a particular topic with interaction coming in from various students and teachers.
In Virtual Classroom System the students and faculty need not be present physically, the questions will
allowed to put up in the form of text paragraph or images. All that one need is a PC or laptop. The
clients will be provided with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through Virtual Classroom various video lectures can be put up, queries and questions can be asked
and various doubts in the minds of the students can be cleared.
2. REQUIRMENT ANALYSIS:
The basic requirements for a Virtual Classroom is the user name and password given to all the faculty
and students. Once the respective person has logged in he/she can perform all the tasks that the person
is authorized to perform.
The project works in the following manner:
1) Faculty Registration before being able to deliver the lecture to the students, the faculty needs to
register with the system.
2) Student Registration to access the features of this application the student need to first register to the
system.
3) Live Chat: A Live chat is provided during the lecture so that students can raise their doubts on the
spot through the chat box.
4) Discussion Forum
Furthermore new features like Online Tests, Assignments can be given.
Through these procedures the classes can be made interactive, purposeful and fun.
3. SYSTEM ANALYSIS
3.1 MOTIVATION
The main motive behind Virtual Classroom is the less amount of time the students and faculty to
interact to each other. With the help of virtual classroom students will be able to ask questions any
time and get their doubts clear. Faculty can also use this platform to give assignments and quiz in real
time, and take online tests. This will save the time wasted on taking tests in the classroom.

Holding Up The Universe Summary
HOLDING UP THE UNIVERSE by:JENNIFER NIVEN
The story that I choose to read was Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven. I originally choose to
read this book because it s cover looked very interesting to me. The title hooked me and reading the
book has been nothing but interesting. The book was about to teenagers whose worlds were
completely different but were both the exact opposite of ideal. They were both struggling through hard
times until they found each other. I would recommend other people my age to read this book because
it is so inspirational and because once you start reading it it is hard to put it down. It keeps you
interested and helps you learn how to get through some hard times.

the Universe goes through many conflicts, the development of characters, immense use of different
author s craft, and a setting that is unreplicatable. The theme throughout Holding Up the Universe
stands strong in teaching that you must always stand up for who you are and what you stand for no
matter who hates against you. You should make decisions that will result in your happiness and you
will get out of life what you have given it. This is a strong message to hold onto for the young
generation of today. We still have massive amounts of peer pressure that try to get a person to think
that it is better to go with the flow instead of standing up for who you are. Can Holding Up the

Who Invented The Longbow
The bow is one of oldest weapons that can launch a projectile at great distances accurately. In
prehistoric times, the bow was used for hunting and war. Beth L. Habeishi and Staphanie Mallory in
Basic Illustrated Archery state that later on in the human race, the longbow also became used for
competition shooting as well. Paul E. Klopsteg in Archery, states that the bow is almost certainly the
earliest mechanical device to achieve greater speed in a projectile than could be attained by throwing.
According to Beth L. Habeishi and Staphanie Mallory in Basic Illustrated Archery, they suggest that
the bow was believed to be made as early as 50,000 BC (pg 7). Habeishi and Mallory claim, between
25,000 and 18,000 BC, man begins using fire hardened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Evelyn Tribble in Where are the archers in Shakespeare, archery is a complex skill that
has the properties of physiological, neurological, social, technological, economic, and material forces
all of which must be considered in an ecological model of skill (para 1). Tribble also suggests that
anthropologists use the phrase cultural transmission to analyze how cultures engage in making
knowledge (para 1). It pretty much means how their skills and knowledge had been passed down
through each cultures generation lines. The physical well being of the archer made the historiography
of the longbow in war amazing. An expertly made bow meshed with the trained physical and mental
intelligence of the bowman has a devastating effects and are very lethal. It was considered a very
effective weapon of its time until firearms were invented, but now it is just as effective as a hunting
and or target shooting weapon, in other words recreational use. Even now, the effectiveness of the
longbow is determined primarily by the strength and skill of the bowman. To win in competitions and
to harvest an animal, hunters and target shooters must have great strength and accuracy when using a

Architecture Of Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey is an architectural masterpiece from the 13th and 16th century. There have been
many coronations taken place there since 1066. There are many tombs of great kings and famous
people located there. There have also been sixteen royal weddings that have taken place at the Abbey.
The Abbey is not a cathedral or a parish church. There have been countless profound occasions that
have happened at the Abbey. Westminster Abbey has much history packed into one building and has
had a large impact on English history.
At that time the Abbey had the newest style of Gothic style including ribbed vaulting, rose windows,
flying buttresses and pointed arches. The design of the Abbey was greatly influenced by French
architecture (The Editors of the Encyclopedia, 2017). The architecture of the building has greatly
influenced English history in the fact that it was one of the tallest churches in England, along with that
it had narrower single aisles, that way it could look taller (Westminster Abbey Faith at the Heart of a
Nation). King Henry III wanted to create the Abbey for a new Saint, and also for his own burial. There
were three freemasons that supervised the designing of the Abbey. Henry of Reyns was a major
architect at that time. It is unknown if he was English or French. He was greatly influenced by new
cathedrals at Reims, Amiens and Chartres (Westminster Abbey Faith at the Heart of a Nation). There
were also two other contributors named John of Gloucester and Robert of Beverly.
King Henry III wanted to have it built for Edward the Confessor. Henry III was close to Edward and
knew that he was a good person and wanted it built for him. Henry also wanted it built for his own
burial so he would have a perfect resting place where he could be honored. They were both indeed
buried there along with several other important people to English history. Even though the body of
Edward the Confessor was moved there later, the initial intent of Henry III still happened his death.
There is also many pieces of artwork in Westminster Abbey that show various important occasions in
English history. One of the oldest pieces of artwork in the Abbey is the retable, it was most likely used

Alfred F. Young s The Shoemaker And The Revolution
Alfred F. Young wrote The Shoemaker and the Revolution to explain how a regular citizen could
become such an active participant in the American Revolution. He explores one citizen in particular,
the shoemaker George Robert Twelves Hewes, and how he went from a young, nervous boy to a
patriot that stood up for what he believed. Young describes that this transformation can be explained
by participation in events that inspired the revolution the Boston Massacre, the Boston tea Party, and
the tarring and feathering of John Malcolm. The first event that began to shape the man that Hewes
would become was the Boston Massacre in March of 1770. He also had several altercations with
British troops before the Massacre that would negatively affect ... Show more content on

These include a bias when commenting on the Boston Massacre, the ill explanations of the Quartering
Acts or the Tea Act which are major direct causes to the events discussed, and the fact that the articles
only focusses on events that occurred in Boston. When explaining the second point of this article
Young states that The soldiers were beaten and sought revenge. (par. 7). This implies that the British
soldiers were looking for a fight on the night of the massacre. This a type of propaganda that was
commonly used in this era to demonize the soldiers acts even though it was most likely just an
accidental shooting. Another major weakness the Young exudes hoe he fails to mention important
causes of the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. The Quartering Act was issued by Parliament
to decrease the cost of holding troops in America and forced the colonists to house troops and pay for
all of their accommodations. This information would be helpful in describing the events that led up to
the Boston Massacre. Another fact that would aid the reader s understanding of the cause of an event
would be to explain the Tea Act, as this was the most direct cause to the Boston Tea Party. This act
was in place to undercut Dutch smugglers and force the American colonists to buy tea from Britain
directly. This angered the colonists and led to the refusal to unload tea in the Boston

preferred hands on experience and others are visual or auditory learners. No matter what it may be,
our learning process help us retain information much easier. In Gardner s Theory of multiple
intelligences, he explains the seven intelligences, while Freire s Banking concept of education views
the educational system as a negative way to educate students. Both article contradicts each other.

The banking system, which he argues to be the wrong method and problem posing ,a better
alternative. The essay describes how students became slaves and forced to do what the oppressor
demanded, in this case teachers. The author s purpose is to fully explain the negative effects of the
banking education. In the banking system students only rely on the information that is given to them.
Freire mentioned, Worse yet, it turns them into containers, into receptacles to be filled by the teachers

environment where teachers knows everything while students know nothing .Also, students are
portrayed as receptacles or containers it waiting to be filled by Instructors. By doing this, it limits the
students creativity and does not allow student to express their individuality. As response to the
banking concept , Freire is proposed a different method of educating students, problem posing.
Problem posing allows both students and the teacher to express themselves freely. This method is
creates a more positive environment, where students and instructors are equal. Unlike in the banking,
problem posing can challenge students to really think and not being afraid of saying a different answer

Student Suspicion In Search Of Students
The first question at hand is: Do Students have the same rights as adults under the Fourth
Amendment? The Supreme Court, over fifty year ago, ruled that students do not abandon their
constitutional rights when they enter a school building ( The Fourth Amendment Students, 2008).
However, students rights to privacy are more limited than those of adults. For adults, a search requires
a warrant, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion and any that illegal evidence obtained during a
search can be used in court ( The Fourth Amendment Students, 2008). One job school districts have is
to maintain safety. Therefore, students rights are limited. A warrant is not required for a search of a
student, and the school officials only need reasonable suspicion to search a student ( The ... Show

How are they applied in school settings? Probable cause to search and seize evidence requires a state
official to possess sufficient facts that would lead to person to believe that evidence will be found
during the search (Ehlenberger, 2002). For example, if an officer sees, smells, or hears anything that
causes suspicion, it is consider probable cause since they are facts. Reasonable suspicion refers to a
search that is conducted based on the state official s training, experience, and intelligent belief that an
individual is engaging in criminal activity (Ehlenberger, 2002). An example of a search justified by
reasonable suspicion would be if two students inform a teacher that another student has a gun in his or
her locker (Ehlenberger, 2002). School officials only need reasonable suspicion to search student,
while law enforcement normally must have probable cause to search students (Ehlenberger, 2002).
However, school official do not need reasonable suspicion or probable cause if the student voluntarily

Throughout the movie, we see frequent montages of the city and get accustomed with its vibrant
nature. Yeo crafted the story with utmost care, deliberately setting it to a slow, rhythmic pace to match
the intensity and mental state of the characters. The characters do not converse much, instead they
choose the path of contemplation and confession, trying to revisit their past.
His wonderfully written dialogues help to create a calming influence on the film, which reveals the
depressing nature of the characters. For example, when the woman asks the man if he still enjoys his

Sometimes you get used to things. After fifteen years it s not a matter of whether you like it or not.
You just forget about the tiny details.
The term tiny details is closely related with the flow of the movie as we see the band members, who

A Long Way Gone
A Long Way Gone Ishmael Beah had a really tough life throughout his childhood and teenage years.
In his literary work, A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, Ishmael Beah uses symbols to
underscore his central theme of oppression and/or freedom. The three symbols he used to underscore
his central theme of oppression and freedom was Ishmael s AK 47, his cassette tapes, and the drugs he
used. Ishmael s AK 47 was the most important symbol that Ishmael Beah used to underscore his
central theme. At the beginning of A Long Way Gone Ishmael was terrified of guns. He didn t want
anything to do with them. But once he started in the war against the rebels, guns were there to comfort
him. He didn t want to leave his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Beah 15) The rap cassettes made him connect with his friends and family because they would all
dance and sing to them. Ishmael would resort to music when he just wanted to think or even just relax.
He would find security with his cassette tapes. When his cassette tapes were demolished he had finally
lost control of himself. A soldier took my old pants and threw them a blazing fire.... I ran toward the
fire, but the cassettes had already started to melt (Beah 110). That was when he finally had completed
his change to a whole different person. Memorizing lyrics left me little time to think about what had
happened in the war. (Beah, 163). Ishmael Beah s rap cassette tapes had a huge impact on his life and
how he acted. Without them he was no longer himself, but a monster. The final thing that encapsulated
Ishmael Beah that was a symbol in A Long Way Gone was drugs, which particularly were marijuana
and cocaine. Drugs had change Ishmael into something he didn t want to be. Once he started on drugs
he craved them more and more until he would finally do anything and everything to get them. Drugs
made him want to kill others. They would go on huge raids and kill all the rebels just to get some

William Carlos Williams The Fish As A Machine Made Of Words
The Fish As a Machine Made Of Words Marianne Moore s use of syllabic verse, enjambment and
imagery in her poem, The Fish , demonstrates William Carlos Williams definition of poetry as A
machine made of words, in an exact, live and eroding portrayal of the sea. Moore s use of enjambment
represents the driving force of a machine that works ceaselessly. The majority of the poetic lines in
each stanza break before the sentences end, obligating the reader to continue on to the next line due to
the incomplete syntax which does not allow for a natural pause. For instance: Of the crow blue mussel

Analysis Of On Truth
Today s political climate is a polarizing topic. Every form of media has an opinion on it from major
news outlets to adult animated sitcoms. Harry Frankfurt s book On Truth is relevant to the political
storm that is brewing in American society due to the manipulation of the truth by political figures and
mainstream media. Frankfurt approaches the importance of truth in a unique fashion and vilifies lies
and those who spread them. This directly relates to the election year and how the truth is shrouded in
mystery. The Daodejing and Socrates writings, while both important in literature are not as pertinent
to the charged political climate that is taking place in the United States right now. For the first time in
American history there has been mass protests across the country due to the Republican nominated
president elect Donald J. Trump. People from many major cities went to the streets to say things like
Not My President and Never Trump. It is safe to say Trump s campaign has been riddled with
controversy and has been criticized by both major political parties. Trump s campaign is not the only
one with problems. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has been met with constant problems
throughout her campaign she has been accused of numerous corruption scandals. The American public
is deeply divided and believes they had to pick between the lesser of two evils. This is all a distortion
of the truth. The media is turning into a propaganda machine who reports biased

Underrepresentation In Superhero Comic Books
It s a bird, it s a plane, it s a... black Superman? With the representation of all identities growing in
different forms of media, superhero comic books have picked up this trend and have begun to

of different creeds, sexual orientation, and ethnicities are being introduced to the world of

Superheroes such as Miles Morales, Kenan Kong, and Jaime Reyes taking the title of Spiderman,
Super Man, and Blue Beetle all have one thing in common; they epitomize an underrepresented ethnic
and racial community. Axel Alonso, the creator of the half Hispanic, half black Spider Man (Miles
Morales), explains, Miles is but one face in a diverse landscape of heroes that includes Kamala Khan
(Ms. Marvel), Sam Wilson (Captain America) and Amadeus Cho (the Hulk), and offers readers of all
creeds and colors a chance to see their own reflection (Moreno, 2016, para. 10). Just like the creation
of Batwoman, Miles Morales creation is due to the fact that creators wanted to be able to reach every
member of their audience. However, often lost in the intersection between superheroes and science
fiction is the place race occupies in the genre, and when it is addressed, the discussion frequently turns
to framing the genre as racially biased, (Nama, 2008, p. 134). For these reasons, many comic book
creators refrain from addressing these issues, since it may lead to them being accused of conforming
to a stereotype. Even so, the audience for comics is a truly multicultural one; in fact, it is more
ethnically diverse than are the heroes the young people read about (Brown, 1999, p.

Employment Law And Employee Relationship Essay
I. Introduction There is a legal relationship among an employers and employee in the New Zealand s
workforce and stated in the Employment Relations Act 2000. However, an employee and an
independent contractor have a particularly different relationship to an employer employee relationship
due to legal significance with the relationship of employer and employee. Since, an employer is
legally responsible for the negligence of their worker s activities, but not for the negligence of an
independent contractor. This essay concentrates on the employment law and how it affects
employment agreement in New Zealand by the legal frameworks in which it develops employment
relationship in relation to the Employment Relations Act 2000. As highlighted the use of such
triangular relationships creates complexities in the rights and responsibilities of each party . Means
that the power of New Zealand s employment law defines employers and employees across the
statutes. The courts use the employment statues for their decision making. Furthermore, the protection
that is available to protect the interest of employees and independent contractors and its effectiveness.

identifies the conditions of the relationship involving the employer and an employee together with

The Apology Of Socrates Analysis
According to Dr. Dave Yount, many Athenians still regret their decision to put Socrates to death to this
day. Is this feeling of regret acceptable? This paper will explore the details surrounding the trial of
Socrates and whether or not he was treated fairly throughout the sentencing process. In The Apology
of Socrates, Plato describes the charges against Socrates as not believing in the gods recognized by the
state, introducing supernatural beings, and corrupting the youth (246. 9 12). By considering Socrates
impiety, internal betrayal of the city, and arrogance and hypocritical words, it should be understood
that the Athenians were just in their verdict and punishment of Socrates.
It is argued that the charges brought against Socrates

Apuleius In-Depth Ekphrasis Of Diana And Actaeon
Although ekphrases are frequent in the novel, Apuleius in depth ekphrasis of Diana and Actaeon
specifically describes the physical form of statues as a work of art, which ultimately tie into Lucius s
adventure. The use of ekphrasis leads into yet another interpolated tale that is seemingly not related to
the novel. However, ekphrasis not only describes the statues in great detail but also describes how
Apuleius molds the ancient Roman tale into Lucius s story. Diana s statue was made of Parian marble
occupied the exact center point and as an utterly resplendent piece of statuary that shone bright on the
reflective marble (Met. 2.4, pp. 33 34). The description is similar to that of Isis in how this first ranked

Lucius describes Actaeon as craning forward and gawking at the deity (Met. 2.4, pp. 34). Craning and
gawking suggest that Actaeon is overly curious and depraved. The connotation of gawking suggests
that Actaeon was knowingly intruding on Diana s bath. Similarly, Lucius is very eager and curious
like when he is struck near senseless by my unbearable yearning by the witchcraft in Thessaly (Met.
2.2, pp. 22). Lucius further emphasizes how eager in witchcraft that he is to sign up as [Pamphile s]
apprentice and pay through the nose for it (Met. 2.6, pp. 25). The similar inquisitive character of
Actaeon and Lucius is used to construct a parallel between the two narratives. The purposeful story of
Diana and Actaeon provides a similar message to The Golden Ass. Actaeon and Lucius were both
overly curious and saw what they should not have seen. Actaeon gawked at Diana bathing while
Lucius saw Pamphile turn into an owl (Met. 3.21, pp. 60). Although Actaeon is turned into a stag by
Diana and then devoured by his hunting dogs, Lucius is forgiven and returns to his normal human
form to serve for Isis beliefs. The irony of Lucius describing Actaeon also shows a parallel with
Apuleius s description of Lucius throughout the novel. The notion that The Golden Ass as an
autobiography of Apuleius seems clearer in the ekphrasis of Actaeon and Diana due to the irony. Like

Key Regression Analysis Factors
The following factors are the most commonly reviewed results of a regression analysis:
* Correlation coefficient (R squared) This represents how well the independent variables (X) explain
the response variable (Y). * Independent variable coefficient This is the measured effect the
independent variables have on the dependent variable. This is the main output of the regression
analysis. * Statistical significance of the coefficient This is a statistical test that confirms if the
coefficient regardless of its value is robust and different from zero. Also referred to as the P value.
Statistical significance of the coefficient
The statistical significance of a coefficient tests determines coefficients potential of being zero. The
zero potential increases when there is significant variance in the independent variables. A large
variance also suggests that the variable used have no effect on the dependent variable.
Market Performance
As you can see from the previous explanation, it shows that our regression model is highly effective
and explains the variation in the number of pies you sold from market to market. The limitation of
regression analysis can be described in terms of regression, correlation, and causation. Regression and
correlation are related but describe

American Influence On Cuban Culture
The American perspective of Cuba is one that varies from person to person, generation to generation.
Commonly, Millennials view Cuba as a country of opportunity and intrigue while the Baby Boomers
approach Cuba with an air of caution. This disconnect exists because the generations before ours
experienced the alienation that came into play in the media when the Eisenhower administration
placed the embargo on exports in 1960. Considering this disconnect is one of the many issues that
have to be taken into consideration when discussing how Americans view Cuba, and looking into how
our relationship with their country will develop in the future. It is highly likely that this view is also
affected by individuals opinions of socialist governments. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In what ways would you say the culture of Cuba informs the way we might recommend any type of
industry considering investing in Cuba s infrastructure?
Cuban culture is unique and seems untainted by corporate America, and this entices the American
people. Being able to walk through cities without recognizing large corporate branding such as the
Starbucks mermaid and McDonald s golden arches on every building is rare. Cuba s pure culture has
been presented to the world in the form of poetry, sculptures, music, and other various forms of artistic
representations. Oftentimes, this cultural exploration through art presents itself as a form of revolt.
One historical example of Cuban revolt through music was Los Frikis. In the 80 s, Cuban misfits and
punk rockers expressed their version of a revolution through music and self imposed death sentences.
Los Frikis was a group that, in many extreme cases, knowingly injected themselves with blood
containing the AIDS/HIV virus. In their eyes, this was the only way to set themselves free from the
control of their government. Another example of Cuban culture and art expressed as a form of a
revolution is the poetry of Jose Marti. His poetry was thought provoking and pushed readers to debate
opinionated (and often political) topics. This historical manifestation of revolution through art and
culture helps to inform a consultant on how they might recommend an industry to invest in Cuban
infrastructure. This manifestation evidences the instability and dissatisfaction of the Cuban people
with current government actions and policies. This dissatisfaction could pose as both risks and
opportunities. The risks affiliated are simply the instability of the Cuban people and the power of the
Cuban Socialist government. One opportunity is evident in the attractiveness of American freedom to
the Cuban people, as they are intrigued by our differences as well as interested in

Digoxin

Sandra Laird
April 1, 2015 OVERVIEW OF DIGOXIN
Origin
Digoxin is a drug gotten from the leaves of a digitalis plant ( Digitalis, 2015, para. 1). We commonly
refer to this plant as foxglove but we also use its botanical name, which is Digitalis purpurea when
discussing it ( Digitalis, 2015, para. 2). Foxglove is a popular flower that can be found growing along
the roadsides and in meadows or waterlogged areas usually in the western region of the United States (
Digitalis, 2015, para. 2). Although this plant can now be found in America, European immigrants
originally brought Foxglove into the United States centuries ago ( Digitalis, 2015, para. 2). William
Withering first described the therapeutic effect of this plant in 1785 ( Digitalis, 2015, para. 4).
Drug Class
Digoxin is grouped under a class of drugs known as cardiac glycosides (Lilley, Collins, Snyder, 2014,
p. 387). Cardiac Glycosides are a class of drugs known as cardiac drugs (Lilley, Collins, Snyder, 2014,
p. 387). They are the oldest group of cardiac drugs that are recognized to have beneficial effects on
people with failing heart and help in controlling the heart s ventricular rate (Lilley, Collins, Snyder,
2014, p. 387). These drugs help make the heart beat stronger and with a more regular rhythm. In
previous years, cardiac glycosides (digoxin) were used as the first line drugs for heart

The Scorch Trials Betrayal Quotes
The Scorch Trials 356 526 For my independent reading novel, I read The Scorch Trials by James
Dashner. The novel was fast paced and very entertaining. In this particular section (356 526), a major
conflict that was existent throughout was Teresa s betrayal towards Thomas. The author states, That
was it. He d officially and completely lost any trace of doubt. Teresa had turned against him. Or
maybe she had never really been on his side (Dashner 419). This quote demonstrates the amount of
betrayal Thomas must have felt. Teresa was his best friend, so the dishonestly hit Thomas hard. This
part made me feel really sad because Thomas had so much trust in her, and considered her as one of
his bestest friends. Being stabbed in the back is an unpleasant sentiment; however having a really

the effects of the Betrayal were still left upon Thomas. I think the relationship between Thomas and
Teresa is interesting because Teresa was not actually trying to hurt Thomas but instead help him.
However, Thomas feelings were damaged, and he was hurt. This relates to the world around me

The participants from the community were between 16 and 80 years old. The researcher ensured to
include a balanced group that covered gender, ethnicity and socio economic status. Employment status
was not a variable used in this study. The researcher used ten jurisdictions nationwide to help ensure
coverage of the majority of subcultures within the U.S. population. There were three large police
departments, four medium police departments, and three small police departments. The community
population corresponded to the size of the department. Each jurisdiction included poor, lower class,
middle class and upper class respondents. Other found research studies have only focused on
individual jurisdictions and communities or country compared to country (Schuck Rosenbaum, 2005).
Those were either too narrow or too broad for the intent of this research project.
Research Methods
The research involved self completion questionnaires covering the experiences of police officers and
community members within the ten jurisdictions researched. Furthermore, it included rural and urban
locations and the target population were those people who had any type of interaction with the police.

Symbolism in The Scarlet Letter
Nathaniel Hawthorne isn t noted for perfecting any famous literary style, for writing multiple best
sellers, or even for contributing largely to classic American literature. His only real claim to fame is
The Scarlet Letter: a novel that was originally only meant to be yet another Hawthorne short story.
Because of this, it actually possesses many short story characteristics. It is simpler and more complete
than his other novels. (James 285) It also has an excellent plot backed by an expert use of literary
techniques. One technique Hawthorne used was borrowed solely from drama: the use of the aside.
Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale delivers an aside in the midst of the action in chapter three, ... Show

At first, the scarlet letter meant Adulteress and was a sign of scorn. It was a brand used for easy
identification of an untrustworthy criminal. But as time progressed, and the initial shock of such
actions as adultery subsided, the townspeople, especially the women, took note of the fact that Hester
had accepted the responsibility of her actions by sewing the scarlet letter herself. They also observed
that she did so with unmatched precision. Eventually this made them yearn for needlepoint talent like
she possessed. They began relying on her to sew exquisite patterns for them, gradually inviting her
back in their society. By wearing the scarlet letter proudly, Hester had eventually changed the meaning
of the A from Adulteress to Able. The townspeople saw Hester for her inner beauty, not for the scarlet
letter forever branded onto her bosom. They realized the sacrifice and pain that she went through to
regain their trust and respect. Gradually, throughout the novel the scarlet letter becomes an article of
pride, and Hester a woman deserving respect.
One object that holds great symbolic value is often over looked and discarded as an unimportant
detail. It is the black glove that Dimmesdale left on the scaffold after his night vigil of regret and guilt.
What, on the surface, may seem as a minute, petty detail becomes rather powerful when the reader

Why Do Neanderthals
Could neanderthals have influenced our language, writing ability, and spiritual practices? I think so.
Genetic research shows that our DNA can contain up to 4% of neanderthal genetics. Comparing the
neanderthal eye sockets to our own shows that neanderthals sockets were larger. Perhaps this means
that they were more nocturnal than modern man. I can t help thinking about the vast amount of
pyramids across the world, and how some are designated as pyramids of the sun, and some as
pyramids of the moon. Could moon worship have originated in ancient modern man from the
influence of our ancestors the possibly nocturnal neanderthals? What about the pyramids of the sun?
Maybe this sun worship came from our cro magnon ancestors with eyes more similar in size to our
own. Our smaller eyes make it more difficult to see in the dark. As I ponder about this, I think it
relevant to mention that the moon is usually associated with female deities such as Luna,
Diana, Artemis, Selene, and many, many more. Who were the predecessor deities of these already
ancient goddesses? Maybe they were influenced by the goddesses that neanderthals worshipped. I
wonder if neanderthals saw the female as divine above male. The moon gives off a softer, loving light

A Project On The Project Life Cycle

Cycle Explanation A project is a transitory effort attempted to develop an exceptional merchandize or

distributed into particular stages that improve and support overall management and control. According
to Hormozi, McMinn, and Nzeogwu (2000), every projects have a life cycle and they are born from an

The Main Differences Between The Federalist Vs....
On November 19, 1863, the sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln, declared in his famous Gettysburg
Address, Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so
conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. Lincoln s sentiments express the longstanding tension
between the North and the South about state s rights and slavery. Both of these causes sparked the
Federalist vs. Antifederalist debates, Abolitionist Movement, and Dred Scott decision that ultimately
fueled the divide that started the civil war. The issue of states rights was the main difference between
the Federalist and Anti Federalist views, and its divergence led to the fundamentally opposing views
of the north and south. The population of the northern states consisted mainly of Federalists who
believed that it is clearly within the provision [of the Constitution] which authorizes the making of all
needful rules and regulations concerning the property of the United States, as the same has been
practiced upon by the Government . This view suggests that politicians could make laws and
regulations based on implied powers of the Constitution, or non explicitly stated powers. With this
right, the Federalists believed it was in the best interest of the country to make a national bank that the
national government would control. The bank would consolidate all debts from each of the individual
colonies and compile a large national debt. This would benefit the Northern states

The First Three Years Of Life
Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life.
This is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the functioning of the brain.
Autism is four more times prevalent in boys than girls. Autism shows no racial, ethnic or social
boundaries. Family income, lifestyle and educational levels do not affect the chance of autism s
occurrence. Autism and its associated behaviors have been estimated to occur in as many and one in
500 individuals. In this essay, I will discuss the signs and symptoms of autism, types of autism, the
diagnosis of autism and studies done on autism.
Autism affects the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction and
communication ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although a specific cause is not known, current research links autism to biological or neurological
differences in the brain. In many families, there appears to be a pattern of autism or related disabilities.
This suggests that there is a genetic basis to the disorder. Buty there has been no gene linked directly
to autism. The genetic basis is believed by researchers to be highly complex, probably involving
several genes in combination.
Autism is not a mental illness. Children with autism are not unruly kids who choose not to behave.
Autism is not cause by bad parenting. These are just some of the several theories that are false about
the cause of autism. They have been proven false. Furthermore, no known psychological factors in the
development of the child have been shown to cause autism.
An accurate diagnosis must be based on observation of the individual s communication,
developmental levels and behavior. Because many of the behaviors associated with autism are shared
by other disorders, various medical tests may be ordered to rule out or identify other possible causes
of the symptoms being exhibited.
Because the characteristics of autism vary so much, a child should be evaluated by a multidisciplinary
team which may include a neurologist, developmental pediatrician, pshycologist, learning consultant,
speech/language therapist or another knowledgeable professional about autism. In some

Reasons For The Missouri Compromise
In 1820 the Missouri compromise was formed and the reason it was formed was to satisfy both
Missouri and Maine by admitting both to be states, one Free State and one slave state. The reasoning
behind this was to maintain balance in senate. Missouri wanted to be admitted as a slave state and it
would have disrupted the balance in the senate, so that is why they admitted Maine as a Free State
making the senate balanced again. That was not the only part of the Compromise, the other part is
called the 36° 30°N line. Referring to the longitude latitude coordinates for this boundary line.
Basically the purpose of this line was to determine whether new states, in the Louisiana territory
bought from the Louisiana Purchase, would be free states or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

California now wanted to be admitted as a free state. Henery Clay also took part in the making of the
compromise to solve this problem. California was admitted as a free state and the other southwestern
territories would decide whether to be free or not through popular sovereignty. This influenced
stronger fugitive slave laws in the south which eventually graduated to any southerner accusing any
black man or woman being a runaway slave. Many Southerners did not like the idea of the Missouri
compromise because it made laws regarding slavery. The south did not want slavery to be completely
abolished because a large part of the South s economy depended on slaves working on plantations to
produce crops and goods. On the other hand, the north condemned the compromise acquiescing the
expansion of slavery. Eventually, the Missouri Compromise was deemed unconstitutional in the
Supreme Court during the Dredd Scott case. Henery Clay s talent for composing compromises for the
north and south helped keep a balance between slave and Free states. He very well may have
postponed the start of the civil war by many years. Clay s nationalism in many people s eyes was seen
as the savior of the union, keeping it intact for as long as

The Emergence of Check Imaging Technologies and the Impacts of to Banks and Consumer and Small
Business Customers
Thanks in part to advancements in check imaging technology; financial institutions have an
opportunity to make major changes to outdated check processing systems. Bank executives are
weighing the benefits with the potential risks of updating a system that has been virtually untouched
since the 1970 s.
These emerging imaging technologies have the potential to remove the high transportations costs
associated with transporting physical checks and reduce the flow time (float) it takes between check
deposit and funds availability.

Lastly, all of these shortcomings to the conventional system prolong the time it takes for a customer to
deposit a check and receive the funds. Ultimately, any process improvements must create a positive
customer experience and reduce added exposure to both the customer and the banks.
A Closer Look At Check Imaging Truncation
With advancements in check imaging capabilities and Check 21 legislation (allowing for banks to us a
duplicate image of a check in lieu of the physical check), banks now have the opportunity to address
the process pain points that have plagued its check processing systems for years. For this analysis, the
focus will be on the various check processing imaging solutions that can optimize the conventional
check processing system. While the ACH system can be considered a bottleneck for some banks, there
have been made incremental improvements over time. Further, the ACH system improvements
requires the cooperation and partnership with the Federal Reserve and the governing body for electric
payments, The Electronic Payments Association.
Check imaging technology is a popular solution among financial institutions because each bank can
apply the technologies differently to fit its current systems. Check imaging is the process of making a
digital image of the check and using that image to

  • 2. Water Resources Management Response Paper For this assignment, I chose my home in Coastal Georgia. This area includes Brunswick (city and rural areas), St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island and Sea Island. I have had the privilege of contacting our County Commissioner, Dale Provenzano, formally a board member for the Joint Water and Sewer Commission, to enlighten me in the areas of water sourcing, demand, challenges, and solution recommendations. Existing Water Sources and Water Demand in the Area The water supplied to the Coastal Georgia Regions, including Savannah and Kingsland, come from the North Floridian Aquifer. There are 2 parts to the North Floridian Aquifer, an upper and a lower; our water is drawn from the lower aquifer (bgjwsc.org). The North Floridian Aquifer is actually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the saltwater plumes, a saltwater plume is a horizontally moving body of saline fluid that is contained in the larger, fresh body of water. The plumes come about when there is heavy retraction from the aquifers resulting in a saltwater intrusion. In order to keep the plume from reaching any of the retraction sites, or wells, we must keep a close eye on the pumping amounts at each well. For instance, Georgia Pacific shuts their machinery down for two weeks every summer, this causes the plume to shift from the middle of two well sites to the well site being used the most. This can cause the quality of the water to lessen as the taste will become salty and bitter. While there is an unlimited supply of water coming from the aquifer, the rate at which the water is being retracted can cause the water to become tainted with plumes, among many other problems and ... The quality of earnings is an ongoing operation of corporations and other business alike, because the value of a business is the current and future earnings of the firm (Schroeder et al, 2011). These earnings are usually updated quarterly by a firm s financial analyst, which provide this for investors and other users of financial information to make decisions about a firm s financial position in the market. However, there are some differences in the quality of earnings throughout various industries, countries and by competitors. The Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX), Section 404 plays an important role in a firm s earnings quality, reliability and relevance (Singer You, 2011). Additionally, they stated that the implementation of the regulation helped firms reduce intentional misstatements and contributes to the earnings reliability. During the process of evaluating the quality of earnings, there are some warning signs that should be considered, in order to detect potential fraud or misstatement. These warning signs will be discussed further, later in this paper. First, the quality of earnings will be discussed. Second, the analysis of a major corporation to measure its quality of earnings. Lastly, warning signs will show vulnerable areas where financial data can be manipulated. Prior to the measurements of quality of earnings, there are two definitions that should be recognized; earnings quality and earnings management. Earnings quality identifies the relationship between an entity s accounting income and its economic income, which is attributable to high sales and low costs (Schroeder et al, 2011). Earnings management is an attempt to use accounting techniques to produce financial reports and present an overall positive financial position for a firm. Case 5 2 Earnings Quality a. When Swifty s Diner burns down it s bye bye Hills Village and hello big city. One of the main disappointments Rafe faces is the fact that he will not be able to attend the art school in which he had been accepted Airbrook. He fears that he will not make any new friends, and that school will be a complete and utter disaster (much like his previous school year at Hills Village Middle School). She was his old English teacher in Hills Village Middle School, and they were originally enemies. But she was the one who helped him get into Airbrook and now she s the one who got him an interview. Part of this book s charm was the irony and humor found in it. 10.) Rafe takes the knowledge of his father s death pretty well. Learning that his father went overseas to fight in a war and didn t really abandon them helped him accept his father s absence from his life, in a way. Finding out about his father gave him a sense of closure no more wondering why he left and what happened to him. Rafe s great uncle played a role in helping Rafe discover the truth about his father. He had told Rafe that he needed to speak with his mother and in truth, this was exactly the right advice. It didn t happen right away, but when it did, he finally learned the truth about his father. 11.) Moving back to Hills Village is a positive move for everyone in Rafe s family. Rafe can get away from the crazy drama that went down at Cathedral, yet still get the chance to have a good art education at Airbrook. • 14. Architecture Of Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey is an architectural masterpiece from the 13th and 16th century. There have been many coronations taken place there since 1066. There are many tombs of great kings and famous people located there. There have also been sixteen royal weddings that have taken place at the Abbey. The Abbey is not a cathedral or a parish church. There have been countless profound occasions that have happened at the Abbey. Westminster Abbey has much history packed into one building and has had a large impact on English history. At that time the Abbey had the newest style of Gothic style including ribbed vaulting, rose windows, flying buttresses and pointed arches. The design of the Abbey was greatly influenced by French architecture (The Editors of the Encyclopedia, 2017). The architecture of the building has greatly influenced English history in the fact that it was one of the tallest churches in England, along with that it had narrower single aisles, that way it could look taller (Westminster Abbey Faith at the Heart of a Nation). King Henry III wanted to create the Abbey for a new Saint, and also for his own burial. There were three freemasons that supervised the designing of the Abbey. Henry of Reyns was a major architect at that time. It is unknown if he was English or French. He was greatly influenced by new cathedrals at Reims, Amiens and Chartres (Westminster Abbey Faith at the Heart of a Nation). There were also two other contributors named John of Gloucester and Robert of Beverly. King Henry III wanted to have it built for Edward the Confessor. Henry III was close to Edward and knew that he was a good person and wanted it built for him. Henry also wanted it built for his own burial so he would have a perfect resting place where he could be honored. They were both indeed buried there along with several other important people to English history. Even though the body of Edward the Confessor was moved there later, the initial intent of Henry III still happened his death. He explores one citizen in particular, the shoemaker George Robert Twelves Hewes, and how he went from a young, nervous boy to a patriot that stood up for what he believed. Young describes that this transformation can be explained by participation in events that inspired the revolution the Boston Massacre, the Boston tea Party, and the tarring and feathering of John Malcolm. This implies that the British soldiers were looking for a fight on the night of the massacre. This a type of propaganda that was commonly used in this era to demonize the soldiers acts even though it was most likely just an accidental shooting. Another major weakness the Young exudes hoe he fails to mention important causes of the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. The Quartering Act was issued by Parliament to decrease the cost of holding troops in America and forced the colonists to house troops and pay for all of their accommodations. This information would be helpful in describing the events that led up to the Boston Massacre. Another fact that would aid the reader s understanding of the cause of an event would be to explain the Tea Act, as this was the most direct cause to the Boston Tea Party. The Supreme Court, over fifty year ago, ruled that students do not abandon their constitutional rights when they enter a school building ( The Fourth Amendment Students, 2008). However, students rights to privacy are more limited than those of adults. For adults, a search requires a warrant, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion and any that illegal evidence obtained during a search can be used in court ( The Fourth Amendment Students, 2008). Harry Frankfurt s book On Truth is relevant to the political storm that is brewing in American society due to the manipulation of the truth by political figures and mainstream media. Frankfurt approaches the importance of truth in a unique fashion and vilifies lies and those who spread them. This directly relates to the election year and how the truth is shrouded in mystery. The Daodejing and Socrates writings, while both important in literature are not as pertinent to the charged political climate that is taking place in the United States right now. Apuleius In-Depth Ekphrasis Of Diana And Actaeon Although ekphrases are frequent in the novel, Apuleius in depth ekphrasis of Diana and Actaeon specifically describes the physical form of statues as a work of art, which ultimately tie into Lucius s adventure. The use of ekphrasis leads into yet another interpolated tale that is seemingly not related to the novel. However, ekphrasis not only describes the statues in great detail but also describes how Apuleius molds the ancient Roman tale into Lucius s story. Diana s statue was made of Parian marble occupied the exact center point and as an utterly resplendent piece of statuary that shone bright on the reflective marble (Met. 2.4, pp. 33 34). Lucius describes Actaeon as craning forward and gawking at the deity (Met. 2.4, pp. 34). Craning and gawking suggest that Actaeon is overly curious and depraved. The connotation of gawking suggests that Actaeon was knowingly intruding on Diana s bath. Similarly, Lucius is very eager and curious like when he is struck near senseless by my unbearable yearning by the witchcraft in Thessaly (Met. 2.2, pp. 22). Lucius further emphasizes how eager in witchcraft that he is to sign up as [Pamphile s] apprentice and pay through the nose for it (Met. 2.6, pp. 25). The similar inquisitive character of Actaeon and Lucius is used to construct a parallel between the two narratives. The purposeful story of Diana and Actaeon provides a similar message to The Golden Ass. Actaeon and Lucius were both overly curious and saw what they should not have seen. Actaeon gawked at Diana bathing while Lucius saw Pamphile turn into an owl (Met. 3.21, pp. 60). Although Actaeon is turned into a stag by Diana and then devoured by his hunting dogs, Lucius is forgiven and returns to his normal human form to serve for Isis beliefs. The irony of Lucius describing Actaeon also shows a parallel with Apuleius s description of Lucius throughout the novel. In what ways would you say the culture of Cuba informs the way we might recommend any type of industry considering investing in Cuba s infrastructure? Cuban culture is unique and seems untainted by corporate America, and this entices the American people. Being able to walk through cities without recognizing large corporate branding such as the Starbucks mermaid and McDonald s golden arches on every building is rare. Cuba s pure culture has been presented to the world in the form of poetry, sculptures, music, and other various forms of artistic representations. Oftentimes, this cultural exploration through art presents itself as a form of revolt. One historical example of Cuban revolt through music was Los Frikis. In the 80 s, Cuban misfits and punk rockers expressed their version of a revolution through music and self imposed death sentences. Los Frikis was a group that, in many extreme cases, knowingly injected themselves with blood containing the AIDS/HIV virus. In their eyes, this was the only way to set themselves free from the control of their government. Another example of Cuban culture and art expressed as a form of a revolution is the poetry of Jose Marti. His poetry was thought provoking and pushed readers to debate opinionated (and often political) topics. This historical manifestation of revolution through art and culture helps to inform a consultant on how they might recommend an industry to invest in Cuban infrastructure. This manifestation evidences the instability and dissatisfaction of the Cuban people with current government actions and policies. This dissatisfaction could pose as both risks and opportunities. The risks affiliated are simply the instability of the Cuban people and the power of the Cuban Socialist government. One opportunity is evident in the attractiveness of American freedom to the Cuban people, as they are intrigued by our differences as well as interested in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We commonly refer to this plant as foxglove but we also use its botanical name, which is Digitalis purpurea when discussing it ( Digitalis, 2015, para. 2). Foxglove is a popular flower that can be found growing along the roadsides and in meadows or waterlogged areas usually in the western region of the United States ( Digitalis, 2015, para. 2). Maybe this sun worship came from our cro magnon ancestors with eyes more similar in size to our own. Our smaller eyes make it more difficult to see in the dark. As I ponder about this, I think it relevant to mention that the moon is usually associated with female deities such as Luna, Diana, Artemis, Selene, and many, many more. Who were the predecessor deities of these already ancient goddesses? Maybe they were influenced by the goddesses that neanderthals worshipped. I wonder if neanderthals saw the female as divine above male. The moon gives off a softer, loving light compared to the Sun s brighter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sol sounds like soul, so could the soul of man be comparable to the sun and the moon? What about King Solomon. Sol (soul)(sun) , Mon (moon) (man), so could this equate to the king of the soul of man? New information is emerging about our neanderthal predecessors all the time. For example, their are discussions now about whether or not neanderthals made picture art. Well, why wouldn t they. We know that they made jewelry, and that they buried their dead with flowers. This is proof of complex thought patterns. It can easily be speculated that the burial of the dead with flowers was the neanderthal s way of dealing with death, and possibly their hope for some spring renewal ... A Project On The Project Life Cycle Discussion Board Forum 3 Sana Gilani Liberty University BUSI 650 April 23, 2016 The Project Life Cycle Explanation A project is a transitory effort attempted to develop an exceptional merchandize or service. Since all projects are distinctive in nature and include a specific level of ambiguity, they are distributed into particular stages that improve and support overall management and control. According to Hormozi, McMinn, and Nzeogwu (2000), every projects have a life cycle and they are born from an idea, develop into a finished product or service, and then terminate (p.45). The stages or phases of project life cycles may vary depending on management strategy, industry, application/ methodology being used for a particular project. However, in general the project life cycle stages include: (1) Initializing, (2) planning, (3) execution, (4) controlling, and (5) closing or termination. Meredith and Shafer (2013) explained stretched S and exponential life cycle within the text book. In the stretched S life cycle, the progress is slow in the initial phase but it takes speed during the implementing phase and during the closing stage, as per Meredith and Shafer (2013), the more difficult tasks that were postponed earlier must now be completed, yet people are being drawn off the project and activity is winding down, so the end keeps slipping out of reach (p. 211). • 44. The Main Differences Between The Federalist Vs.... On November 19, 1863, the sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln, declared in his famous Gettysburg Address, Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. Lincoln s sentiments express the longstanding tension between the North and the South about state s rights and slavery. Both of these causes sparked the Federalist vs. Antifederalist debates, Abolitionist Movement, and Dred Scott decision that ultimately fueled the divide that started the civil war. The issue of states rights was the main difference between the Federalist and Anti Federalist views, and its divergence led to the fundamentally opposing views of the north and south. The population of the northern states consisted mainly of Federalists who believed that it is clearly within the provision [of the Constitution] which authorizes the making of all needful rules and regulations concerning the property of the United States, as the same has been practiced upon by the Government . This view suggests that politicians could make laws and regulations based on implied powers of the Constitution, or non explicitly stated powers. With this right, the Federalists believed it was in the best interest of the country to make a national bank that the national government would control. The bank would consolidate all debts from each of the individual colonies and compile a large national debt. This would benefit the Northern states ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although a specific cause is not known, current research links autism to biological or neurological differences in the brain. In many families, there appears to be a pattern of autism or related disabilities. This suggests that there is a genetic basis to the disorder. Buty there has been no gene linked directly to autism. The genetic basis is believed by researchers to be highly complex, probably involving several genes in combination. Autism is not a mental illness. Children with autism are not unruly kids who choose not to behave. Autism is not cause by bad parenting. These are just some of the several theories that are false about the cause of autism. They have been proven false. Furthermore, no known psychological factors in the development of the child have been shown to cause autism. An accurate diagnosis must be based on observation of the individual s communication, developmental levels and behavior. Because many of the behaviors associated with autism are shared by other disorders, various medical tests may be ordered to rule out or identify other possible causes of the symptoms being exhibited. Because the characteristics of autism vary so much, a child should be evaluated by a multidisciplinary team which may include a neurologist, developmental pediatrician, pshycologist, learning consultant, speech/language therapist or another knowledgeable professional about autism. Reasons For The Missouri Compromise In 1820 the Missouri compromise was formed and the reason it was formed was to satisfy both Missouri and Maine by admitting both to be states, one Free State and one slave state. The reasoning behind this was to maintain balance in senate. Missouri wanted to be admitted as a slave state and it would have disrupted the balance in the senate, so that is why they admitted Maine as a Free State making the senate balanced again. That was not the only part of the Compromise, the other part is called the 36° 30°N line. Referring to the longitude latitude coordinates for this boundary line. California was admitted as a free state and the other southwestern territories would decide whether to be free or not through popular sovereignty. This influenced stronger fugitive slave laws in the south which eventually graduated to any southerner accusing any black man or woman being a runaway slave. Many Southerners did not like the idea of the Missouri compromise because it made laws regarding slavery. The south did not want slavery to be completely abolished because a large part of the South s economy depended on slaves working on plantations to produce crops and goods. On the other hand, the north condemned the compromise acquiescing the expansion of slavery. Eventually, the Missouri Compromise was deemed unconstitutional in the Supreme Court during the Dredd Scott case.
