Data mining is one of the essentially used and interesting research areas. Mining association rule is
one of the important research techniques in data mining field. Many algorithms for mining association
rules are proposed on the basis of Apriori algorithm and improving the algorithm strategy but most of
these algorithms not concentrate on the structure of database. The proposed technique includes
transposition of database with further enhancement in this particular transposition technique. This
approach will reduce the total scans over the database and then time consumed to generate the
association rules will be less.
Keywords Association rules, Apriori , Transpose, Execution time and Iterations.

The Characteristics Of The Native Americans
Introduction Humans in nature are curious and this leads into finding or creating extraordinary things
that may one day be value or question by many. As early civilizations emerge, the beginning of many
wonders were developed and with great accuracy. Although there was a lack of technology, as we have
today, one wonders how some items may have been developed. The Native Americans are just one
particular example to analyze. Despite the lack of the tools we have today, their artwork is impeccable
and with great accuracy. Their art work and constructions leave one to ponder on how those items
were developed. Furthermore, one can also wonder on how records were kept. The number system
that we have today was not available to them. Yet, they were able to have some sense of counting. In
addition, Native Americans placed importance on specific numbers and this can be seen in both art
and their activities. Patterns and Shapes The need to create and construct goes far beyond what one
can imagine. It is in human nature to be curious and to develop or create based on the observations of
the world around us. In fact, shapes and patterns emerge in nature organically (Rudman 2007). Native
Americans development of geometric shapes is still a mystery to many. Yet, by analyzing the world
around us and trying to create based on observations and creativity leads into our desire to mimic
nature itself. Designs and patterns on everyday life items were utilized by Native

Lead The Way
People Lead the Way VRIO stands for value, rarity, imitability and organization. It represents a
strategic tool to assist with evaluating a company s internal resources and capabilities as a way to
provide a competitive advantage (Jurevicius, 2013). This tool can provide insight into the critical
nature an organization assumes with identifying, sourcing and attracting new leadership. Leaders drive
organizations, set the tone, establish culture and are ultimately accountable for organizational
performance. People lead the way to successful operations. Without the right people a business is just
walls and capital equipment incapable of generating value. People are the brains of an operation,
ensuring the rest of the body understands the response required to function. The importance of putting
the right person in the right position can prove a daunting task. Every person is unique with a different
mental and physical makeup. This make up shapes a person s beliefs and attitudes. Putting a
personality that is square in a round hole can be met with disaster. There are a number of methods to
help understand a person s personality. Myers Briggs is a personality type indicator (MBTI). It
represents a method where a person answers a set of unique questions to help establish their
personality traits. Understanding these traits can provide insight into how a person processes
information and interacts with others. Understanding one s personality, in conjunction with other

Primary Professional Goals
My primary professional and personal goal is to remain organized and not stressed even under
pressure or during unforeseen setbacks I plan to start by staying organized and calm by using the
SERVE method discussed in the TED video by Charles Marshall. I will implement it by using the
following steps, S is to surprise your customer with excellence, E is to evaluate the need, R is to
respond to that need, V is to validate their experience, and E is to exceed their expectations (2016). I
will apply hopefulness and move forward in my daily life by immediately evaluating any need that
arises. Furthermore, I plan on responding to my professional and personal needs right away. Hence, I
will consciously choose to not procrastinate. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will begin with being thankful and optimistic. Next, I will self exam and reflect on letting go of the
negative and focus on the positive. Then, I will open my mind to new possibilities and remind myself
to step out of my comfort and walk into new opportunities. ... I will focus on finding people to help by
sewing love into the lives of others around me. In the Bible 1 Corinthians 13:4 8 gives a good
description of love. In school, at work, or at home, I will show the love of God to others by being
helpful, kind, truthful, and not selfish. I propose to make life changing things happen by planning
daily to remain optimistic, always move forward, maintain positive thinking, and not let
discouragement settle. I will strategize to redirect any negative thoughts and replace them with
positive thoughts and creative opportunities. This will allow me to take action and make things great
things happen in my life My professional goal will be to obtain a new career that I will appreciate.
Within, the next few months, as I get closer to graduating, I will open up my opportunities by applying

Essay On Caliticia Science Center
On Friday, May 26th, I went and visited the California Science Center. The California Science Center
has a lot of exhibits regarding biology such as the rot room, ecosystems and kelp center. The
admission to the California Science Center itself is free and requires no ticket with the exception of
special exhibits. When I visited the center on friday, I visited the whole center, with the exception of
the new exhibit called the Body World: Pulse. During my visited I learned the difference between the
Arctic and Antarctica and how both are typically confused because they are both cold, windy and dry.
However, the Arctic is ocean surrounded by land and Antarctic is land surrounded by ocean. Besides,

It was strange experience touching animals that were alive, they almost seemed fake. In elementary
school, I remember doing this same activity. In this exhibit I learned that animals have a tear shaped
body to reduce resistance to ocean movement. The Center also has a small exhibit that talks about the
deep ocean. The deep ocean, a common mystery, had very little exhibit information besides interesting
samples of animals that live in the deep ocean. The samples were very small and colorless. In fact, the
exhibit mentioned that these creatures lived under very high pressure and darkness. There were
various samples that demonstrated the great amount of pressure the deep ocean has. Several students
dropped styrofoam cups and heads to the ocean and were received fully crushed and in miniature
form. However, what I found most interesting was the fact that as pressure increases, buoyancy
decreases. This was exhibited through an activity they had which had a balloon in a water tank and as
you manually increased the pressure up to 20 psi, the balloon sinked to the bottom of the tank. What I
found the most interesting was a small part of the kelp center that had a breeding tank of Brine shrimp.
The shrimp were tiny specks and under a microscope were tiny, clear objects that floated. The center
had two sets of funnels side by side, one for adult shrimp and one for hatching shrimp. They both were
simultaneously working

Reminders Of Poverty Soon Forgotten Summary

In this writing the classical principles of argumentation Ethos, Pathos, and Logos will be observed as
it is used in Reminders of Poverty, Soon Forgotten by Alexander Keyssar. These arguments are used to
persuade the reader to think that the writer s ideas are the best ideas. Before going into whether or not
Keyssar used these principles in his writing, it is important to understand what each of the three
principles mean. In the principle of Ethos, or ethical appeal, it is used to persuade the audience or
reader of the authors creditability. The Merriam Webster dictionary describes Ethos ... Show more

Keyssar used words such as poverty, and race to appeal to the reader s emotions. Saying that the
victims of Katrina had to endure things such as rape and violent treatments in the shelters made them
look like outsiders in their own country. An example of Ethos was used when Keyssar argued that
Americans mainly ignored the reality of the poor in New Orleans; with our land of SUVS and hedge
funds there is powerful news footage and major news magazines (such as the New York Times). He is
making the reader believe in his credibility because people believe in such sources, as they are
considered very credible. Logos principle is applied by discussing the FEMA (Federal Emergency
Management Agency) and their inability to respond effectively to the people after the storm. Keyssar
says that unlike the disasters, poverty is not technical and should be approached comprehensively.
This played on people s reasoning and logic. As a historian, Keyssar has taught and written about
poverty in the United States. He is highly respected because of his expertise. When he writes about the

Strong Poison Analysis
In Strong Poison by Dorothy Sayers, there is a multitude of detectives. There is our main character,
the amateur detective Lord Peter Wimsey, and with him there are the people that work for and with
him. Miss Climpson, Bunter and Miss Murchison, these people are the ones that help him solve the
cases. The women that are helping Detective Wimsey are spinsters, who are equipped with a quick
mind and who have no problem sticking their noses where they have no business being. After World
War I there were a lot more spinsters on account of the young men being killed at war. I want to make
the argument that because of his time in the service Lord Peter Wimsey is a heroic detective, unlike
the detectives we have read about up to now.
Looking closely at both Lord Peter Wimsey and the spinster women that are helping him we can see
some of the unnoticable effects that the war had. With Lord Wimsey we can see the effects that come
from being in the war personally. While with the spinster women we get to see the effects that the war
has had back home and on those that were not actually in battle. Lord Peter Wimsey gives us a
noticeably different kind of detective because of this. He is different from the other detectives that we
have read about and talked about in class in that he is not emotionless. His time in battle has left him
with shell shock and anxiety, I think that this causes him to be less of a logical reasoning detective.
The way that I understand the novel is that it was

Commentary on Through the Tunnel Essay
In the short story Through the Tunnel by Doris Lessing a young boy named Jerry takes on the risky
challenge of swimming through a narrow and long underwater tunnel on his holiday at the beach. It is
an interesting story with a variety of remarkable characters.
In the story, Jerry is on holiday at the beach with his mother, when he sees a group of older men diving
through an underwater tunnel. This fascinates him so he starts practicing to hold his breath and dive
until he can be like them. When he finally tries, he finds out how difficult it is and almost drowns. The
rising action starts as he swims into the tunnel for the first time. The climax is when he almost drowns.
He must go on into the blackness ahead, or he would drown. His ... Show more content on

Jerry s mother is very protective of his son and seems to care about him a lot. She worries that she is
being too protective and that he is old enough to look after himself.
Lessing is sympathetic towards her characters and she shows this in many ways.
The story is mostly written in the limited third person from Jerry s point of view, but there are a few
parts where it briefly goes into the mother s point of view. She was thinking, Of course he s old
enough to be safe without me. Have I been keeping him too close? He mustn t feel he ought to be with
me. I must be careful.
It is written from Jerry s point of view so that we can experience his pain and suffering as he is
swimming through the tunnel but on the other hand to understand why he wanted to take on this
challenge in the first place.
The story takes place in a warm, foreign country where Jerry and his mother are staying at a villa for
their summer holidays. The beach gives it a warm and relaxed feeling, but as Jerry dives down deeper
towards and into the tunnel the mood becomes colder and darker.
The theme of this short story is to set goals and not to give up on them. Every day, we set goals and try
to attain them but Lessing might also be trying to warn us not to be too go too far trying to keep up
with our goals. Jerry is determined to have the ability to dive through the tunnel to such a large extent,

Repercussions In Education
The United States is no longer the leader in education standards and in fact is no longer even making
the top ten when it comes to reading, math, and science literacy rankings among the world for
education (Learning Curve, 8). The repercussions are that college graduates are not as competitive
globally as they once were and obtaining desired careers are more competitive than ever, having an
ultimate result of slowing down the economy. Due to these conditions, education reform needs to be
dealt with immediately as it will take years of implementation before any positive results are actually
achieved. Despite the introduction of common core, and no child left behind, the school system is still
failing students who are unqualified to even enter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parents that have spoken out risk upsetting a teacher that will be looking after their child for the rest of
the year, many teachers express the opinion that parents are not qualified to help their children as they
have not had pedagogy training. Parents need to be allowed to voice opinions and concerns when it
comes to their children s well being without fear of repercussions. There are numerous ways that
parents should become involved in education reform. In New York City, parents withheld their
children from participating in standardized testing; proclaiming that too much time was spent on
training for the tests and not enough time and faith was given to the teachers to teach according to
their best judgement and training. Instead of waiting on politicians to lead the change in education
reform parents need to start change themselves on a local level by participating heavily in the schools
that their children attend. Getting to know the teachers and administration allows parents to have a
voice about concerns and problems that they witness firsthand as well as being active voters for
members of the school board. Those that complain that the nation is no longer a competitive learning
source should in turn become actively involved in education

The Russian Mafia
The Russian Mafia, also known as Bratva (Brotherhood) is a collection of various organized crime
groups that originated during the former Soviet Union era. It is made up of underworld leadership in
which engages in providing illegal goods and services that range anywhere from drugs and weapons
smuggling to gambling and human trafficking. As in the U.S, there is no universally accepted
definition of organized crime in Russia. However, the Bratva shares many basic characteristics with
other well known criminal organizations such as the Italian Mafia. Therefore, the definition that has
been commonly used in the U.S will be fitting for the Bratva as well. The FBI defines organized crime
as, any group having some manner of a formalized structure and whose primary objective is to obtain
money through illegal activities (FBI). The Bratva falls under this definition with one of its many
groups, the Vory v Zakone , which translates to Thieves in law . They are bound by a code of honor in
which states that one is not to make a living on anything other than thievery, complete submission to
the laws of criminal life, including obligations to support the criminal ideal and refusal to participate
in all political activities (Omics).

The Mystery Of Crime Fiction
INTRODUCTION Crime fiction is a genre of literature that has been well distinguished and
unparalleled for generations due to the intrigue readers experience throughout the culminating plot.
Suspense accumulates as the protagonist and reader alike must process the crimes and interpret all the
evidence presented so an apt denouement can resolve who has committed the murder and what their
motives are. As the investigation progresses, conflicts inevitably arise and pose adversity for the
protagonist as they must determine if their inclinations are correct or their focus has been leading them
astray in the process. Uncertainty plagues the mind of those who are emotionally and professionally
invested with the case. This aspect has always been engaging because the internal conflicts the
protagonist faces increases the drama of these investigations as no one seems to have any answers, yet
they are all suspects. The point of stagnation for the investigator often forces them to reinterpret and
validate all the evidence, while ruling out any implausible instances. After this state of confusion and
reevaluation, a break in the case offers enough of a reprieve for the investigation to deviate from the
path of circumlocution. Personally, the most profound component that peaks my interest in an
investigative novel is the internal strife within the protagonist that incites further confusion and
conflicting ideas. The significance of any imperfections within the lead character is that the

Analysis Of The Letter To His Father
Franz Kafka wrote this Letter to his Father in November 1919, but it was never delivered. After
writing the letter by hand, he got it typed, and it is not known whether he wanted the contents of the
letter to reach the public eye at the time of writing or not. When Kafka asked his friend Max Brod to
destroy his writings at his death, and Max Brod s refusal to do so brought them to the world, this letter
too was part of what he received, which was eventually published in its entirety in 1953. The Letter to
his Father is a multi generic exercise in that it couples autobiography with the form of the letter, and
relies on the strategies of the family chronicle to present perspectives on both the speaker and the
subject through an ironic, critical lens. This letter is also one of the most accessible documentary that
we have on Kafka himself, whose self scrutiny and analysis off his own situation as a son offers us
insights into the way he saw his growth as an individual in circumstance that he considered difficult.
As a literary example, on the other hand, the latter makes use of several conventions such as first
person narratorial voice (for the impression of authenticity), anecdote (for historical
contextualization), and flashback (for reference). At the same time, the letter is a long document with a
focussed subject where the addressee (his father) is as much the occasion for the writing, as he is the
protagonist whose and mode of functioning form part of what Kafka deals

The Pros And Cons Of Life Saving Organ Transplantation
According to the American Transplant Foundation, more than 120,000 people in the United States are
on the waiting list to receive lifesaving organ transplant. Every 10 minutes a new name is added to the
transplant waiting list and on average around 20 people die per day due to a lack of organ availability.
The never changing high number of demands for organs and high shortage of donors in the United
States of America has made a gap between the numbers, therefore a discussion has raised how to
lower this gap. China, for example, has found a solution they used death row inmate s organs for

Difference Between Prehistory And Pre History
First Long Exam
1. History vs Prehistory
a. What is prehistory and how is this concept or term defined?
Prehistory is a discipline where it composed of series of events happened during the time where
writing was not yet used to record those events. The word itself means before history for it is
associated with the prefix pre which means before yet it was really the combination of the Latin word
prae that means before and the Greek word ιστορία which means history. These are the events that
happened in times where in writing was not yet used to record these events. Events are just based on
either being told, predicted or believed by the people from long time ago and evidences of this events
came from excavation of fossils and discovery of materials in places believed to be the place inhibited

Baseball Is The Same Way Of Life
Merrian Webster s definition of baseball is, a ball game played between two teams of nine on a field
with a diamond shaped circuit of four bases. In reality baseball is so much more than that. The movies
Bull Durham, The Natural, and Field of Dreams exemplify the metaphysical meaning of sport.
Baseball is a metaphor for the American way of life; it unites people. It can even bring back the dead.
The lessons learned in baseball illuminate the core tenants of American society. The metaphysical

Nowadays more than ever, people have to change their careers to pursue new found interests. Look at
Hank Nichols for example, he wanted to play baseball, but ultimately became a world renowned
basketball official. As he said when he talked to us, he did not put his head down and pout rather he
learned from his failure and used it to help him in the future. This is analogous to what Crash

This ability to adapt is also exemplified by Roy Hobbs. He is a small town boy who has to strike out

Response to a Financial Crisis in the Banker’s New...
INTRODUCTION
In response to the financial crisis of 2008, there has been much criticism of the banking and financial
industry. Critics have expressed their opinions on potential causes and shared their ideas on what steps
need to be taken to help prevent future financial crises of such magnitude. Authors Anat Admati and
Martin Hellwig share their thoughts in the 2013 novel The Banker s New Clothes: What s Wrong with
Banking and What to Do about it.
Anat Admati is currently a professor of finance and economics at the Graduate School of Business at
Stanford University. Studying financial markets, financial contracting and recently started to study
corporate governance in the banking industry. Since the financial crisis she has been actively involved
in the debate on financial regulation pushing her viewpoints on capital requirements for financial
institutions. Co Author Martin Hellwig currently serves as the Director of the Max Planck Institute for
research on collective goods. His academia focuses on economic theory, financial markets and
institutions and macroeconomics with regard to monetary policy.
The novel revolves around the assertion that banks ought to increase their capital requirements in
order to be able to absorb fluctuations in the market on their own. The term capital requirement can
cause confusion among a layman, in banking terms it is interchangeable with equity, essentially the
stake that owners have in the corporation. They assert that prior to

The Ku Klux Klan History
The Ku Klux Klan and its history in the State of Colorado
There are many hate groups that are very notorious or infamous in history one of the biggest and
powerful to ever form is the Ku Klux Klan. Many groups have formed throughout history but few
have gained as much influence and power at a wide scale or at the speed that they were capable of
dominating an entire state. I picked the Klan for these very reasons when people think of highly
intolerant attitudes and practices what typically comes to mind is the south although the south clearly
has problems most people are not aware that most of the states with highly intolerant view and racism
and discrimination issue lie outside the south such places as Indiana and Michigan, One however that
really surprised me is the state of Colorado somewhere that I have lived my entire life as it turns out I
don t know a whole lot about its history as it turns out the Klan was huge in the state in the early 20 s.
I will now be discussing how, when, and why the Klan ceased power in the State.
In 1915 a resurrection of the group was called upon by a man named Joseph Simmons in Georgia
however the following of people was not a very big out comes just about five thousand people joined
this happened in Alabama and Georgia. (Noel, 2013). At the time there was a very big protestant

It is very important that we know are history mainly so we do not repeat the same mistakes that we
already made in history and allowing the Klan to obtain power of the state is a pretty big misstep. In

learned a lot about the state that I really never had any idea about growing up here I could of never

Importance of Maintaining Your Room and Obeying Orders Essay
Importance of maintaining a clean living environment and following orders.
It is important to maintain a clean and sanitary living environment for multiple reasons. One of the
reasons is that it is a threat to public health in the barracks if even just one of the soldiers is living in
unsanitary conditions, then through frequent contact throughout the day with other soldiers that one
soldier, if he or she becomes sick, could cause other soldiers to become sick. When one soldier
becomes the source of other soldiers being sick then that soldier could be face possible punishment

Because after all the soldiers barracks room is what they should take the most pride in because it is the
first thing they see in the morning and the last thing they see at night. And every soldier should want
their section chief or squad leader to brag about how squared away their soldier is, because it starts
with their barracks room first thing in the morning and ends with their barracks room last at night.
Also if soldiers are told specifically to maintain a clean and sanitary barracks room then they are
verbally ordered to keep that room clean and thus if they decide to live in an unsuited room that is
consistently filthy and unsanitary then they are violating a direct lawful order and are subject to
Article 92 of the Universal Code of Military Justice which states the following: 892. ART. 92.
FAILURE TO OBEY ORDER OR REGULATION
Any person subject to this chapter who
(1) violates or fails to obey any lawful general order or regulation;
(2) having knowledge of any other lawful order issued by any member of the armed forces, which it is
his duty to obey, fails to obey the order; or
(3) is derelict in the performance of his duties; shall be punished as a court martial may direct. And
thus the soldiers leader may at their discretion write the soldier a negative counseling statement and
even recommend the soldier for Universal Code of Military Justice action under Article 92 for Failure

The Impact Of Communication On The Workplace Essay
2.0 Findings and discussion
2.1 Communication in the work place
In management, planning, leading, organising and having control over the organisation requires one to
have good communication skills in order to ensure that fellow colleagues and employees are able to
work efficiently and effectively (Robbins Coulter, 2016). Therefore, in an organisational context,
communication is a medium of either verbal or non verbal communication within a specific context
(Louw and du Ploy Cilliers, 2014).
2.1.1 Role in the workplace
Communication has several purposes in the work place that include things like negotiating, conflict
management discussing and resolving work issues as well as influencing and persuading others just to
name a few. In the movie Piers Morgan struggles to communicate effectively with Omarosa as there is
no mutual respect between them regarding the work they both need to do in the work place. In order
for an organisation to be successful, it is essential for both management and subordinates to have clear
and good communication skills as for management it provides a form of power and dominance over
employees. In the Apprentice, Donald Trump is the boss and he assigns managers to every team for
specific tasks. In one of the tasks, Piers Morgan was the project manager of the task and him and
Omarosa were on the same team and were not Seeing Eye to eye and thus Piers had no dominance or
power over Omarosa as there was a lack of mutual respect and cooperation from

Critical Analysis Of Get Up Stand Up By Bob Marley
Bob Marley was born February 6, 1945 in St Ann Parish, Jamaica. Throughout his early years Marley
had lived in some of the poorest and impoverished areas in Jamaica. Even in poverty Marley found an
escape and had a passion for music. In Jamaica Bob Marley was a supporter of the People s National
Party. His major influence on the people was an extreme threat to the power of the PNP s rival parties.
December 3, 1976 there was an assassination attempt on Marley. This assassination attempt allegedly
was for political reasons. A few years later Marley was diagnosed with cancer that had spread and he
died in Miami, Florida, on May 11, 1981. The song Get Up Stand Up was the last song Bob Marley
performed live on stage. It was performed in September of 1980 less than a year before he died in
May of 1981
The song Get Up Stand Up was released in 1973.The social context of this period has a major impact
on the choice of lyrics in this song. This song became a huge part of the human rights movement in
Jamaica. The lyrics are politically motivated and wanting change. The song talks about the necessary
actions that need to be taken to avoid the current oppression in Jamaica. One of the more important
topics of the song was the fight for everyone to have their unalienable rights and to say that they are
not just reserved for the upper class. Another point of view was the song defending the commonly
misunderstood Rastafarian religion. The three people that worked on the song Tosh, Marley, and
Wailer were all faithful advocates of the reggae and Rastafarian movement.
Rastafari is an African religion that is still relatively new. The religion was developed in the 1930s in
Jamaica after Haile Selassie was named the King of Ethiopia. The followers of this religion believe
that Selassie is God and that he will return all of the black people displaced from slavery and
colonization to Africa. Bob Marley s music and success helped spread the religion. The Rastafarians
believe that black people are the chosen people of God. Some of the religious practices in the religion
include smoking and inhaling marijuana. The purpose of the marijuana is to increase a person s
spiritual state of mind and awareness. Most Rastafarians have long

Computer Software and Hacker Essay
Analysis of the Powerscreen Problem In our recent negotiation, my partner Dave and I assumed the
roles of Alan Hacker, a computer software developer, and Alan Hacker s lawyer. Being the lawyer in
the negotiation my objective was to avoid litigation with my client s partner Stanley Star and to aid in
the continuation of my client s co owned company HackerStar. In addition, I would assist Hacker in
coming to an agreement that would be satisfying for him both personally and financially. I felt that
Dave and I presented a reasonable argument on Hacker s behalf and, since I was able to apply some of
our class readings during the process, I was overall pleased with the outcome. My partner Dave and I

We decided that since Hacker spent 2,000 hours working on the software, in which only 200 hours of
that time was on office equipment, that he deserved compensation for at least 1,800 hours. We
determined this to be a years worth of pay and we informed Star and his attorney that Hacker deserved
to be compensated for his time in the amount of $34,000. Our optimal outcome was to concede most
Powerscreen royalties to HackerStar in order to receive payment for time invested, since that would
help dissolve tension between Hacker and Star and be more financially beneficial to Hacker. We
determined our BATNA to be compensation for at least some of the hours invested in Powerscreen
and HackerStar receiving 100% of the royalties. ...maintaining your ongoing relationship may be more
important to you than the outcome of any one deal. This does not mean you should be less persistent
in perusing your interests, but it does suggest avoiding tactics such as threats or ultimatums that
involve a high risk of damage to the relationship. (Fisher and Ury, 1991, pp.152) At the beginning of
the meeting with Star and Star s attorney (Mike and Theresa), both Hacker and Star apologized for
their past behavior. An apology may be one of the least costly and most rewarding investments you
can make. (Fisher and Ury, 1991, pp.32) This was definitely the case as tensions eased and Hacker and
Star agreed that the continuation of HackerStar was a top priority. Dave stated the importance of

Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Striker
RB Leipzig have surprised millions worldwide with their imperious performances in the Bundesliga
this season. Having only secured promotion to the German top flight this season, the Die Bullen have

leaders Bayern Munich.
The side s rise to the top of the League table has been fuelled by their enthralling, yet effective
attacking performances (they are the 3rd highest goal scorers in the Bundesliga thus far) and one man
in particular has been shining bright for the club, German attacker Timo Werner.

His partnership with Poulsen has demonstrated his ability to link up excellently with his attacking
colleagues and the fact that he is amongst the top 5 creators in the League for Leipzig goes on to add

Weaknesses
Passing is often deemed to be striker s worst attributes. Perhaps, it is the tight spaces that they operate
in or the fact that they are often being fed passes rather than being the feeders that could cause it.
However, Werner could be really awful with his passing and has a tendency to infuriate his teammates
and fans with his wayward passing and below par crossing.
Another aspect of his game that needs improvement upon is his tendency to be wayward with his runs
off the ball. He can prove detrimental to his side s creative play by venturing way too far beyond
defenders and give in to the offside trap set up by the opposition.
However, the player, who turns 21 soon, still has solid years of development ahead of him as a
footballer and we are sure with passage of time and extended playing time, he will improve on these
aspects of his

Comparing Two Diaries, Donald Vining s A Gay Diary Vol Essay
Two Diaries, Donald Vining s A Gay Diary Vol. Two and Martin Duberman s Gay in the Fifties look
into the everyday life of gay males in the post World War II Era. While World War II increased
freedom for men to sexually explore within the male community, post World War II extended the
freedom of exploration but also created a subsequent backlash against homosexual practices. Vining
and Duberman s diaries document an extension of gay freedoms in the post World War II period.
Although Vining and Duberman give contrasting accounts of their lives as gay males in the postwar
period, common themes could be drawn in the form of friendships, sexual activity, relationships, and
backlash by heteronormative society. Vining had a social sphere consisting of predominantly
homosexuals due to his metropolitan location. Vining, a gay male living in Manhattan, had a very
complex social life that consisted mainly of gay, white men. Vining frequently went to the theater,
parties, and dinner with his gay friends, and he would constantly be in contact with at least one of his
friends (Vining Diary, p. 9, February 5 1947). World War II placed men in all male, close quarters and
allowed them to sexually explore, so men in the postwar period sought an extension of this freedom to
explore. Fortunately, cities in the postwar period afforded men this continuation (Allan Berube,
Coming Out Under Fire). Rather than being trapped in a small town with community policing, cities

My Presidential Election For President Of The United States
As we near the next presidential election for the United States I see names such as Donald Trump and
Bernie Sanders running to lead our country. With the amount of candidates running for the next
presidential term, I often wonder what it takes to throw one s hat in the ring, and the steps they have to
take to get into office. Are there any restrictions, age limits, financial obligations one must meet before
going through the long road to presidency? Before announcing to run for President of the United
States, specific requirements must be met. First, the age requirement is to be at least 35 years old. The
second requirement is that you must be a born citizen of the United States, and lastly would have to
live in the country for the past 14 consecutive years prior to running for President. Now, if one meets
those requirements they could run for President. It would probably be a smart idea, although not
required, to have previous education, political experience and financial backing before you decided to
run. So now that the requirements have been met, it is time to get to work. While we do have many
different parties that can run for President I will focus on the 2 major political parties, Republicans and
Democrats. Third party candidates would consist of Independent, Constitution, Green, Libertarian and
Reform Parties. In this example I would be announcing my intentions to run for President of the
United States as a Democrat. The first thing that I would need

The Postal Acceptance Rule
Postal Acceptance Rule (Mailbox Rule): The Postal Acceptance Rule or Mailbox Rule is a common
law term for contracts that determines the formation of a contract in which the involved parties are
communicating through the mail. The primary thrust or core of the mailbox rule is that the acceptance
of an offer is sent before the revocation of the specific offer is received. In a scenario where the
communication is sent rejecting the offer while a later communication is also sent in acceptance of the
contract, then the first communication to be received by the offeror will succeed ( Mailbox Rule ,
n.d.). Since this rule originated several years or decades ago, many people say that it should no longer
be applied today because the reliability of the postal system is declining and the increased use of
electronic means to send letters. Understanding the Postal Acceptance Rule: As a doctrine in contract
law, the postal acceptance rule states that if mail is a rational means of delivery for an acceptance, the
acceptance becomes applicable on the date its postmarked and dropped in the mailbox ( What is the
Mailbox Rule? n.d.). Therefore, the rule is applicable for payments in insurance premiums where it s
considered as a way of accepting the contract with its postmarked date being the acceptance date.
Since its inception and establishment in the early 1800s, the postal acceptance rule is a common
characteristic of legal standards in various nations like Australia. Notably, the

Personal Statement On Self Harm
Self harm patients are at a risk for suicide whether this is an intended outcome or a result of self harm
gone wrong. 25% of people who commit suicide will have been seen in a hospital setting for a self
harm injury in the past 12 months (Emerson, 2010). As well, 72% of suicide victims under the age of
25 have had a history or self harm behavior (as sited in Cook, Clency, Sanderson, 2004). These statists
provide a strong argument for the importance of vigilance and ongoing monitoring when providing
care for clients who display self harm behavior. This paper will argue the importance for close
monitoring when caring for self harm but not necessarily the prevention of self harm itself. Vigilance
and monitoring are important However there is evidence that complete preventions is not necessarily
the best approach to self harm (Duffin, 2006).
The Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders fifth edition (DSM 5) uses the term non
suicidal self injury. Self injury is defined as intentional self inflicted damage to the surface of his or
her body of a sort likely to induce bleeding, bruising, or pain, with the expectation that the injury will
lead to only minor or moderate physical harm (American psychiatric Association, 2013,p803). There
must be an absence of suicidal intent; this is either stated by the patient, or determined by the fact that
the method of harm is not likely to result in death. Although often misunderstood and seen as an

The Characteristics Of The Native Americans Introduction Humans in nature are curious and this leads into finding or creating extraordinary things that may one day be value or question by many. As early civilizations emerge, the beginning of many wonders were developed and with great accuracy. Although there was a lack of technology, as we have today, one wonders how some items may have been developed. The Native Americans are just one particular example to analyze. Despite the lack of the tools we have today, their artwork is impeccable and with great accuracy. Their art work and constructions leave one to ponder on how those items were developed. Furthermore, one can also wonder on how records were kept. The number system that we have today was not available to them. Yet, they were able to have some sense of counting. In addition, Native Americans placed importance on specific numbers and this can be seen in both art and their activities. The importance of putting the right person in the right position can prove a daunting task. Every person is unique with a different mental and physical makeup. This make up shapes a person s beliefs and attitudes. Putting a personality that is square in a round hole can be met with disaster. There are a number of methods to help understand a person s personality. Myers Briggs is a personality type indicator (MBTI). In this exhibit I learned that animals have a tear shaped body to reduce resistance to ocean movement. The Center also has a small exhibit that talks about the deep ocean. The deep ocean, a common mystery, had very little exhibit information besides interesting samples of animals that live in the deep ocean. The samples were very small and colorless. In fact, the exhibit mentioned that these creatures lived under very high pressure and darkness. There were various samples that demonstrated the great amount of pressure the deep ocean has. Several students dropped styrofoam cups and heads to the ocean and were received fully crushed and in miniature form. However, what I found most interesting was the fact that as pressure increases, buoyancy decreases. This was exhibited through an activity they had which had a balloon in a water tank and as you manually increased the pressure up to 20 psi, the balloon sinked to the bottom of the tank. What I found the most interesting was a small part of the kelp center that had a breeding tank of Brine shrimp. The shrimp were tiny specks and under a microscope were tiny, clear objects that floated. The center had two sets of funnels side by side, one for adult shrimp and one for hatching shrimp. Reminders Of Poverty Soon Forgotten Summary Alexander Keyssar s Reminders of Poverty, Soon Forgotten Amanda Collier ENG/215 September 3, 2012 Bruce Massis In this writing the classical principles of argumentation Ethos, Pathos, and Logos will be observed as it is used in Reminders of Poverty, Soon Forgotten by Alexander Keyssar. These arguments are used to persuade the reader to think that the writer s ideas are the best ideas. Before going into whether or not Keyssar used these principles in his writing, it is important to understand what each of the three principles mean. In the principle of Ethos, or ethical appeal, it is used to persuade the audience or reader of the authors creditability. The Merriam Webster dictionary describes Ethos ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Keyssar used words such as poverty, and race to appeal to the reader s emotions. Saying that the victims of Katrina had to endure things such as rape and violent treatments in the shelters made them look like outsiders in their own country. An example of Ethos was used when Keyssar argued that Americans mainly ignored the reality of the poor in New Orleans; with our land of SUVS and hedge funds there is powerful news footage and major news magazines (such as the New York Times). He is making the reader believe in his credibility because people believe in such sources, as they are considered very credible. Logos principle is applied by discussing the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and their inability to respond effectively to the people after the storm. Keyssar says that unlike the disasters, poverty is not technical and should be approached comprehensively. This played on people s reasoning and logic. • 8. Strong Poison Analysis In Strong Poison by Dorothy Sayers, there is a multitude of detectives. There is our main character, the amateur detective Lord Peter Wimsey, and with him there are the people that work for and with him. Miss Climpson, Bunter and Miss Murchison, these people are the ones that help him solve the cases. The women that are helping Detective Wimsey are spinsters, who are equipped with a quick mind and who have no problem sticking their noses where they have no business being. After World War I there were a lot more spinsters on account of the young men being killed at war. I want to make the argument that because of his time in the service Lord Peter Wimsey is a heroic detective, unlike the detectives we have read about up to now. Looking closely at both Lord Peter Wimsey and the spinster women that are helping him we can see some of the unnoticable effects that the war had. With Lord Wimsey we can see the effects that come from being in the war personally. While with the spinster women we get to see the effects that the war has had back home and on those that were not actually in battle. Lord Peter Wimsey gives us a noticeably different kind of detective because of this. He is different from the other detectives that we have read about and talked about in class in that he is not emotionless. His time in battle has left him with shell shock and anxiety, I think that this causes him to be less of a logical reasoning detective. The way that I understand the novel is that it was ... She was thinking, Of course he s old enough to be safe without me. Have I been keeping him too close? He mustn t feel he ought to be with me. I must be careful. It is written from Jerry s point of view so that we can experience his pain and suffering as he is swimming through the tunnel but on the other hand to understand why he wanted to take on this challenge in the first place. The story takes place in a warm, foreign country where Jerry and his mother are staying at a villa for their summer holidays. The beach gives it a warm and relaxed feeling, but as Jerry dives down deeper towards and into the tunnel the mood becomes colder and darker. The theme of this short story is to set goals and not to give up on them. The FBI defines organized crime as, any group having some manner of a formalized structure and whose primary objective is to obtain money through illegal activities (FBI). • 14. The Mystery Of Crime Fiction INTRODUCTION Crime fiction is a genre of literature that has been well distinguished and unparalleled for generations due to the intrigue readers experience throughout the culminating plot. Suspense accumulates as the protagonist and reader alike must process the crimes and interpret all the evidence presented so an apt denouement can resolve who has committed the murder and what their motives are. As the investigation progresses, conflicts inevitably arise and pose adversity for the protagonist as they must determine if their inclinations are correct or their focus has been leading them astray in the process. Uncertainty plagues the mind of those who are emotionally and professionally invested with the case. This aspect has always been engaging because the internal conflicts the protagonist faces increases the drama of these investigations as no one seems to have any answers, yet they are all suspects. The point of stagnation for the investigator often forces them to reinterpret and validate all the evidence, while ruling out any implausible instances. After this state of confusion and reevaluation, a break in the case offers enough of a reprieve for the investigation to deviate from the path of circumlocution. Personally, the most profound component that peaks my interest in an investigative novel is the internal strife within the protagonist that incites further confusion and conflicting ideas. After writing the letter by hand, he got it typed, and it is not known whether he wanted the contents of the letter to reach the public eye at the time of writing or not. When Kafka asked his friend Max Brod to destroy his writings at his death, and Max Brod s refusal to do so brought them to the world, this letter too was part of what he received, which was eventually published in its entirety in 1953. The Letter to his Father is a multi generic exercise in that it couples autobiography with the form of the letter, and relies on the strategies of the family chronicle to present perspectives on both the speaker and the subject through an ironic, critical lens. This letter is also one of the most accessible documentary that we have on Kafka himself, whose self scrutiny and analysis off his own situation as a son offers us insights into the way he saw his growth as an individual in circumstance that he considered difficult. As a literary example, on the other hand, the latter makes use of several conventions such as first person narratorial voice (for the impression of authenticity), anecdote (for historical contextualization), and flashback (for reference). At the same time, the letter is a long document with a focussed subject where the addressee (his father) is as much the occasion for the writing, as he is the protagonist whose and mode of functioning form part of what Kafka deals ... • 27. Critical Analysis Of Get Up Stand Up By Bob Marley Bob Marley was born February 6, 1945 in St Ann Parish, Jamaica. Throughout his early years Marley had lived in some of the poorest and impoverished areas in Jamaica. Even in poverty Marley found an escape and had a passion for music. In Jamaica Bob Marley was a supporter of the People s National Party. His major influence on the people was an extreme threat to the power of the PNP s rival parties. December 3, 1976 there was an assassination attempt on Marley. This assassination attempt allegedly was for political reasons. A few years later Marley was diagnosed with cancer that had spread and he died in Miami, Florida, on May 11, 1981. The song Get Up Stand Up was the last song Bob Marley performed live on stage. It was performed in September of 1980 less than a year before he died in May of 1981 The song Get Up Stand Up was released in 1973.The social context of this period has a major impact on the choice of lyrics in this song. This song became a huge part of the human rights movement in Jamaica. The lyrics are politically motivated and wanting change. The song talks about the necessary actions that need to be taken to avoid the current oppression in Jamaica. One of the more important topics of the song was the fight for everyone to have their unalienable rights and to say that they are not just reserved for the upper class. Another point of view was the song defending the commonly misunderstood Rastafarian religion. The three people that worked on the song Tosh, Marley, and Wailer were all faithful advocates of the reggae and Rastafarian movement. Rastafari is an African religion that is still relatively new. The religion was developed in the 1930s in Jamaica after Haile Selassie was named the King of Ethiopia. The followers of this religion believe that Selassie is God and that he will return all of the black people displaced from slavery and colonization to Africa. Bob Marley s music and success helped spread the religion. The Rastafarians believe that black people are the chosen people of God. Some of the religious practices in the religion include smoking and inhaling marijuana. The purpose of the marijuana is to increase a person s spiritual state of mind and awareness. Most Rastafarians have long ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Computer Software and Hacker Essay Analysis of the Powerscreen Problem In our recent negotiation, my partner Dave and I assumed the roles of Alan Hacker, a computer software developer, and Alan Hacker s lawyer. Being the lawyer in the negotiation my objective was to avoid litigation with my client s partner Stanley Star and to aid in the continuation of my client s co owned company HackerStar. In addition, I would assist Hacker in coming to an agreement that would be satisfying for him both personally and financially. I felt that Dave and I presented a reasonable argument on Hacker s behalf and, since I was able to apply some of our class readings during the process, I was overall pleased with the outcome. We decided that since Hacker spent 2,000 hours working on the software, in which only 200 hours of that time was on office equipment, that he deserved compensation for at least 1,800 hours. We determined this to be a years worth of pay and we informed Star and his attorney that Hacker deserved to be compensated for his time in the amount of $34,000. Our optimal outcome was to concede most Powerscreen royalties to HackerStar in order to receive payment for time invested, since that would help dissolve tension between Hacker and Star and be more financially beneficial to Hacker. We determined our BATNA to be compensation for at least some of the hours invested in Powerscreen and HackerStar receiving 100% of the royalties. ...maintaining your ongoing relationship may be more important to you than the outcome of any one deal. This does not mean you should be less persistent in perusing your interests, but it does suggest avoiding tactics such as threats or ultimatums that involve a high risk of damage to the relationship. (Fisher and Ury, 1991, pp.152) At the beginning of the meeting with Star and Star s attorney (Mike and Theresa), both Hacker and Star apologized for their past behavior. An apology may be one of the least costly and most rewarding investments you can make. Having only secured promotion to the German top flight this season, the Die Bullen have taken the footballing world by storm and currently sit in the 2nd spot, only 3 points behind League leaders Bayern Munich. The side s rise to the top of the League table has been fuelled by their enthralling, yet effective attacking performances (they are the 3rd highest goal scorers in the Bundesliga thus far) and one man in particular has been shining bright for the club, German attacker Timo Werner. His partnership with Poulsen has demonstrated his ability to link up excellently with his attacking colleagues and the fact that he is amongst the top 5 creators in the League for Leipzig goes on to add to his potential as a creative force. Weaknesses Passing is often deemed to be striker s worst attributes. Perhaps, it is the tight spaces that they operate in or the fact that they are often being fed passes rather than being the feeders that could cause it. However, Werner could be really awful with his passing and has a tendency to infuriate his teammates and fans with his wayward passing and below par crossing. Another aspect of his game that needs improvement upon is his tendency to be wayward with his runs off the ball. He can prove detrimental to his side s creative play by venturing way too far beyond defenders and give in to the offside trap set up by the opposition. However, the player, who turns 21 soon, still has solid years of development ahead of him as a footballer and we are sure with passage of time and extended playing time, he will improve on these aspects of his ... Teachers handed out a rubric at the beginning of each assignment, which detail every single thing that needed to be included in your paper. • 32. Comparing Two Diaries, Donald Vining s A Gay Diary Vol Essay Two Diaries, Donald Vining s A Gay Diary Vol. Two and Martin Duberman s Gay in the Fifties look into the everyday life of gay males in the post World War II Era. While World War II increased freedom for men to sexually explore within the male community, post World War II extended the freedom of exploration but also created a subsequent backlash against homosexual practices. Vining and Duberman s diaries document an extension of gay freedoms in the post World War II period. Although Vining and Duberman give contrasting accounts of their lives as gay males in the postwar period, common themes could be drawn in the form of friendships, sexual activity, relationships, and backlash by heteronormative society. Vining had a social sphere consisting of predominantly homosexuals due to his metropolitan location. Vining, a gay male living in Manhattan, had a very complex social life that consisted mainly of gay, white men. Vining frequently went to the theater, parties, and dinner with his gay friends, and he would constantly be in contact with at least one of his friends (Vining Diary, p. 9, February 5 1947). World War II placed men in all male, close quarters and allowed them to sexually explore, so men in the postwar period sought an extension of this freedom to explore. Fortunately, cities in the postwar period afforded men this continuation (Allan Berube, Coming Out Under Fire). Rather than being trapped in a small town with community policing, cities allowed men to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. My Presidential Election For President Of The United States As we near the next presidential election for the United States I see names such as Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders running to lead our country. With the amount of candidates running for the next presidential term, I often wonder what it takes to throw one s hat in the ring, and the steps they have to take to get into office. Are there any restrictions, age limits, financial obligations one must meet before going through the long road to presidency? Before announcing to run for President of the United States, specific requirements must be met. First, the age requirement is to be at least 35 years old. The second requirement is that you must be a born citizen of the United States, and lastly would have to live in the country for the past 14 consecutive years prior to running for President. Now, if one meets those requirements they could run for President. It would probably be a smart idea, although not required, to have previous education, political experience and financial backing before you decided to run. So now that the requirements have been met, it is time to get to work. While we do have many different parties that can run for President I will focus on the 2 major political parties, Republicans and Democrats. Third party candidates would consist of Independent, Constitution, Green, Libertarian and Reform Parties. In this example I would be announcing my intentions to run for President of the United States as a Democrat. The first thing that I would need ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. The Postal Acceptance Rule Postal Acceptance Rule (Mailbox Rule): The Postal Acceptance Rule or Mailbox Rule is a common law term for contracts that determines the formation of a contract in which the involved parties are communicating through the mail. The primary thrust or core of the mailbox rule is that the acceptance of an offer is sent before the revocation of the specific offer is received. In a scenario where the communication is sent rejecting the offer while a later communication is also sent in acceptance of the contract, then the first communication to be received by the offeror will succeed ( Mailbox Rule , n.d.). Since this rule originated several years or decades ago, many people say that it should no longer be applied today because the reliability of the postal system is declining and the increased use of electronic means to send letters. Understanding the Postal Acceptance Rule: As a doctrine in contract law, the postal acceptance rule states that if mail is a rational means of delivery for an acceptance, the acceptance becomes applicable on the date its postmarked and dropped in the mailbox ( What is the Mailbox Rule? n.d.). Therefore, the rule is applicable for payments in insurance premiums where it s considered as a way of accepting the contract with its postmarked date being the acceptance date. Since its inception and establishment in the early 1800s, the postal acceptance rule is a common characteristic of legal standards in various nations like Australia. Notably, the ... • 35. Personal Statement On Self Harm Self harm patients are at a risk for suicide whether this is an intended outcome or a result of self harm gone wrong. 25% of people who commit suicide will have been seen in a hospital setting for a self harm injury in the past 12 months (Emerson, 2010). As well, 72% of suicide victims under the age of 25 have had a history or self harm behavior (as sited in Cook, Clency, Sanderson, 2004). These statists provide a strong argument for the importance of vigilance and ongoing monitoring when providing care for clients who display self harm behavior. This paper will argue the importance for close monitoring when caring for self harm but not necessarily the prevention of self harm itself. Vigilance and monitoring are important However there is evidence that complete preventions is not necessarily the best approach to self harm (Duffin, 2006). The Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders fifth edition (DSM 5) uses the term non suicidal self injury. Self injury is defined as intentional self inflicted damage to the surface of his or her body of a sort likely to induce bleeding, bruising, or pain, with the expectation that the injury will lead to only minor or moderate physical harm (American psychiatric Association, 2013,p803). There must be an absence of suicidal intent; this is either stated by the patient, or determined by the fact that the method of harm is not likely to result in death.
