- 10. Appetitive value Refers tothe desirable nature of food and water that satisfies one’s hunger and thirst. Also known as survival value.
- 11. Sensuous/Sexual Value This correspondto sexual meaning in as much as sexual desire can only be satisfied by this value. It makes women and men to work hard to the bones, to make lot of sacrifices, to love and to dream.
- 12. Aesthetic Value This satisfiesan individual’s aesthetic desire or feeling of beholding a beautiful thing or scenery, and appreciating the work of art.
- 13. Intellectual Value This fulfillthe individual’s intellectual desire. Being the only animal gifted with reasons, man desires to know.
- 14. Moral Value Relates toconduct or character viewed from the concept of right and wrong. “It is better to be a human dissatisfied than a pig satisfied”. – John Stuart Mill
- 15. Spiritual Value Corresponds toour spiritual feelings such as those marked or characterized by the highest qualities of human mind.
- 16. Value of theHoly Refers to the sacred and hallowed beliefs, some things which are the objects of worship or veneration. Holy meant the divine or that which has sanctity directly from the absolute sphere.
