In Traveling through the Dark, William Stafford uses the speaker and framing of
the poem to contribute to the theme that when confronted with troubles, it is better
to deal with them than let them ruin someone else. Traveling through the Dark is a
narrative about one individual. This poem is a monologue because there is one
speaker. The speaker uses an internal voice that is calm and informal to create an
unfiltered admission of that night. Being written in past tense, the speaker seems to
be reflecting on his actions. The speaker is driving through the dark alone and

The speaker stops on the road to find that a deer is on the edge. He plans to roll it
into the canyon and stumbles to the back of the car. As he examines the dead deer
in line 6, he slowly gains understanding that the heap in the dark is a doe, and she
was also killed by another car. This could be referring to the effect that humans and
technology have on nature. As humans have spread across the world and
developed new technologies, nature has been abused and destroyed for human
benefit. The speaker begins to drag the doe but gains understanding again in lines
9 11, feeling the doe s side and discovering the fawn. Here, the speaker becomes
hesitant because he understands that another human killed the fawn, and he is
trying to accept what he must do to prevent others from swerving and dying. In
line 13, the car is personified by lowering its parking lights, suggesting that the
technology feels grief or shame for the doe being killed by a car. The car is also
animated by purring, which adds to the idea that the car is a living thing. The warm

Reich, but what Anna Marie Sigmund s 2000 text Women of the Third Reich set
out to do was to educate readers about the women in the sphere of the Nazi Elite.
Sigmund focused on eight women: Eva Braun, Magda Goebbels, Carin Goering,
Emmy Goering, Geli Raubal. Lenu Riefenstal, Getrud Scholtz Klink, and Henriette
von Schirach. Each of these women was either related to Hitler, married or related
to one of his officers, or worked for the Nazi party (both directly and indirectly). By
working in the same style as Owings, Sigmund gives reader glimpse into individual
lives, utilizing written primary and secondary sources rather the personal interviews,
and from these stories, commonalities can be found, and conclusions drawn.

This is can be tricky because as much as an institution can teach decency, that does
not guarantee that a person would necessarily learn or want to learn to be decent.
This also makes me question the concept of decency as well because what really is
decency? What does it mean to be a decent person? Does it mean to lend a helping
hand when someone is in need? Does it mean to smile and politely greet random
strangers or to hold the door open for the person behind us? Does it mean to do no
harm onto others? These are the questions that spawn just by trying to break down

homeless until World War I, but his university should not be held accountable either

I am going to wright about how I would respond if a mass wasting event destroyed
my home. I am going to assume that I did not know about the risk of mass wasting
when I purchased my home. With that said, I would be very angry at the city for

How comforting this thought is! Not even death, even from a seemingly pointless
disaster, can separate me from my family. I understand how people who view death
as the ultimate end can view deadly disasters as the ultimate end of their purpose in
life. With that said, the gospel does not take away the pain that comes with the death

Walt Disney Productions prestige is to never disappoint and their latest movie
Frozen, is no exception. The movie centers around the lives of two sisters, kind
hearted Anna and the frightened Snow Queen Elsa. Fearless Anna sets off on a
journey to find her sister, who flees to an icy mountain after she accidentally traps
the kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter with her ice powers. Disney s 2013
animated film reeled in its target audience and more; the film was intended to appeal
to children s of all ages, however, surprisingly enough it enticed a wider audience
largely comprised of non families. Disney s reputation for promoting happiness and
the well being of American families led to the direct success of the movie Frozen.
The film met its purpose, depicting a touching storyline showing the importance of
family and undermining the traditional concept of true love. Furthermore, Walt Disney
Productions established sufficient credibility within its viewers and audience with
the use of artistic proofs such as; ethos, logos, and pathos. Disney s tradition is to
provide the audience with an educational piece of entertainment, Frozen is
