Project & Portfolio I: Week 3
October 20, 2019
The eldest of six siblings, Thomas Henry grew up in a
small town on top of a mountain twenty miles outside
of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The first-born son of
divorced parents, Thomas was left in charge to take
care of his younger siblings and left no time for friends,
shaping his nihilistic sense of humor. He has been a
fan of the stage since high school, having performed in
student written plays and drumming for several bands.
After 12 years of mediocre minimum paying jobs,
Thomas was married and realized he had to do
something to get more money. Thomas enrolled in the
Entertainment Business program at Full Sail University
where he is focused on developing event
management skills.

Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US.
You have these 40-year-old singers singing about
how sad they are and give kids no hope for the future.
You’re a grown man, instead of buying a new ironic jacket, find a
therapist. What I do is take my own stories and I blend them with my unique humor,
letting people know that there is room for change and not everything in life is going to
be so awful forever, giving them hope for the future. Having worked in a movie
theater for most of my adult life, I have dealt with a younger audience who view me
as a “Papa Bear” and confide in me their darkest feelings. It begins to take a toll. I have
several media outlets where people can see what I am about.

  • 2. The eldest of six siblings, Thomas Henry grew up in a small town on top of a mountain twenty miles outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The first-born son of divorced parents, Thomas was left in charge to take care of his younger siblings and left no time for friends, shaping his nihilistic sense of humor. He has been a fan of the stage since high school, having performed in student written plays and drumming for several bands. After 12 years of mediocre minimum paying jobs, Thomas was married and realized he had to do something to get more money. Thomas enrolled in the Entertainment Business program at Full Sail University where he is focused on developing event management skills. IDENTITY

  • 14. Thomas Henry Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US. You have these 40-year-old singers singing about how sad they are and give kids no hope for the future. You’re a grown man, instead of buying a new ironic jacket, find a therapist. What I do is take my own stories and I blend them with my unique humor, letting people know that there is room for change and not everything in life is going to be so awful forever, giving them hope for the future. Having worked in a movie theater for most of my adult life, I have dealt with a younger audience who view me as a “Papa Bear” and confide in me their darkest feelings. It begins to take a toll. I have several media outlets where people can see what I am about. “
