Personal Analysis Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Personal Analysis" can be quite challenging due to its inherent
nature of introspection and self-analysis. It requires delving deep into one's own thoughts,
emotions, experiences, and behaviors, which can be both rewarding and daunting.
Firstly, articulating personal thoughts and experiences in a coherent and structured manner poses
a significant challenge. It requires not only introspection but also the ability to translate abstract
feelings and reflections into concrete language that effectively communicates the intended
message to the reader.
Moreover, maintaining objectivity while analyzing oneself can be difficult. It's natural for
individuals to have biases or blind spots when reflecting on their own experiences, which can
influence the analysis and potentially undermine its credibility. Striking a balance between self-
awareness and objectivity is crucial in ensuring the essay remains insightful and credible.
Additionally, the process of self-analysis can be emotionally taxing. It may unearth
uncomfortable truths or memories, leading to feelings of vulnerability or unease. Navigating
these emotions while maintaining focus on the essay's objective can be challenging and requires
a certain level of emotional intelligence and resilience.
Furthermore, the scope of the topic itself is vast and multifaceted. Personal analysis can
encompass various aspects such as personality traits, strengths and weaknesses, past experiences,
goals and aspirations, and their impact on personal growth and development. Narrowing down
the focus and selecting relevant aspects to discuss can be a daunting task in itself.
In conclusion, writing a personal analysis essay requires not only strong writing skills but also
self-awareness, objectivity, emotional resilience, and the ability to navigate complex and
introspective themes. It's a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that can lead to profound insights
and personal growth.

Rangeland Paddocks
The first step in developing a grazing management plan is to have a good
understanding of what species are present in each paddock. Rangeland paddocks
in NSW usually contain a variety of grass, forbs and browse species. Of the 12 key
species observed in this project Sclerolaena, Stipa and Bottlewashers (Enneapogon
spp) were the most common and were abundant in all paddocks. Palatability of
Sclerolaena spp ranges from low to high depending on the species and stage of
maturity. Of the nine species of Sclerolaena listed by Brooke and McGarva (1998)
in western NSW, about half are moderately utilised at the early stage of maturity or
when other forages are scarce. Stipa spp is probably the most frequent and abundant
grass in the region (Cunningham... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Digestion is the result of competition between the rates of digestion and passage.
As passage rate increases, the digesta flowing from the rumen will contain greater
amounts of undigested feed particles, resulting in a lower DMD (Varga and
Kolver, 1997). Mwenya et al. (2003) in comparing indigenous fat tailed and Dorper
sheep found that Dorper sheep had significantly (P 0.05) in Dorper than in Merino
sheep and this occurred when fed the lower quality, wheaten chaff diet. Therefore
glucose synthesis may potentially be higher in Dorper compared to Merino sheep.
This is an important finding and this may have contributed to the superior
production responses reported by several researchers including Scanlon et al. (2013)
of Dorper compared to Merino sheep, especially when fed on low quality, roughage
Climate Change And Its Effects On The Earth
The amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions that are produced and released in
the atmosphere from Canada, the United States (U.S), and many other countries, is a
big issue for the planet s health since it causes climate change. Climate change has
various damaging effects on the earth. It can cause severe weather such as floods,
droughts, etc. Some political parties agree that a carbon pricing policy should be
implemented, like the Green party, New Democratic Party(NDP), and the Liberals,
while other parties think that it isn t worth implementing, like the Conservatives.
Implementing a carbon policy will take a lot of time, effort, and money, and might
unfairly target those who are at a disadvantage, like low income people or those
living in remote areas, making them pay more taxes. But to avoid the harmful effects
of climate change, Canadaneeds to implement a carbon pricing policy a method that
has made a significant change in many countries that decided to tax or cap carbon
emissions.
In their platform, the Green Party states, We will place a fee on carbon, and pay
the funds it generates directly to every Canadian over age 18 in the form of an
annual carbon dividend. They have set out The Carbon Fee and Dividend Plan,
which puts a price on carbon that will make polluters pay for whatever emissions
they emit.

Lorenzo de Medici was the most powerful and enthusiastic patron of the
Renaissance. He was an italian statesman and a ruler of Florentine Republic.
Throughout his lifetime he ruled most of Florence with his younger brother Giuliano
from 1469 1478. Lorenzo De Medici was born on January 1st,1449 in Florence, Italy.
He grew up to be average height and he had short legs. He had dark hair but his
brother was described as handsome and outgoing, however Lorenzo was so full of
dignity that no one paid close attention to his looks. Lorenzo de Mediciwas the son of

other religious and political figures. Lorenzo was the type of person who groomed

Pros And Cons Of Long Term Care Insurance
Question: I would like your opinion about long term care insurance. I am 61, female,
divorced with no children. I am not relying on any kind of large inheritance from my
family. What are your thoughts about this insurance? Will it be helpful to have? Do
you need further information from me? A.A.
Answer: When people need long term care it usually is because they have had some
sort of debilitating illness, an injury, or perhaps it is from the effects of aging. The
cause might be temporary but recovery will be over an extended period of time or
care could be required for the rest of their life. No matter the reason or the time
frame, the cost of help can be quite expensive and most health insurance policies do
not cover many of the expenses because they are not medical in nature. Long term
care insurance was created to help cover some the extra expenses such as an
assisted living facility or nursing home. Depending on the specific policy it might
also provide coverage for at home care, home modification, care coordination as
well as many other items. Long term care insurance is especially helpful if the cost
of care will exceed the amount you can afford to spend and not jeopardize the ... Show

With a typical traditional long term care policy you pay a reoccurring premium
until you pass away or go on claim. If you pass away without ever needing the care
then you and your heirs receive no benefit. The other type of policy is an asset
backed policy, which is designed through an annuity or life insurance policy. You
pay a single premium up front and if you never need care your heirs receive a
death benefit. If you do have a claim and start receiving money from the policy
typically the death benefit is reduced by the amount received. In either type of
policy, if it is properly tax qualified, you or your heirs potentially receive the funds

There are many transfer functions but how we select them, Is there a certain
criteria?. There is no straightforward answer to this question, it depends on the
neural network itself and what you want to achieve from it and the problem that
neurons are trying to solve. Transfer function may be linear or non linear, and It s
generally non linear. linear transfer functions are usually used for inputs and outputs
and also non linear transfer functions (Sigmoid) are used for hidden layers. The
transfer function work as the following: takes the input value compare it to a
specific threshold in order to decide the output value, turn the input value into: 0 or
1, or other numbers in case step function, and the output value will be in range

PESTEL Analysis Of Home Depot And Ford Motor
Company
Abstract
How many U.S. consumers believe global warming is the most serious ecological
issue facing the world today? According to a study by Stanford University, one third.
More than half the respondents view this issue as extremely or very important,
almost double the number just a decade ago. (Rothaermel, 2017) Consumers
demanded for more green products, the Home Depot responded. The company
launched a new product label called Eco Options On Earth Day 2007. It used strict
criteria to designate products as ecologically friendly in five ways: Sustainable
Forestry. Clean Air, Water Conservation, Energy Efficient, and Healthy Home.
(Rothaermel, 2017)
Home Depot suppliers have been motivated to innovate their offerings to earn Eco
Options, even more ecologically friendly products, such as super low flow toilets
and energy efficient appliances and lighting. The Eco Options label brought in
about S2.2 billion in sales with over 4000 stock keeping units (SKUs) that carry the
brand. According to Rothaerel,2017, the average customer s purchase basket that
contains an Eco Options product was $107, compared with an over average of $58;
implying that the Eco Options label garnered an 85 percent price premium.
(Rothaermel, 2017)
PESTEL Analysis of Home Depot and Ford Motor Company.
Home Depot can develop new policies that prioritize environmentally friendly
products, based on the ecological external factor of preference for green products.
Also, the firm can get involved in environmental programs for its public relations.
Business sustainability through recycling efforts can be improved and green energy
can be used to address climate change. According to Ferguson 2017, this dimension of
the PESTEL/PESTLE analysis of Home Depot indicates significant opportunities in
the company s remote or macro environment. (Ferguson, panmore.com/home depot
pestel pestle analysis, 2017)
The Ford Motor Company has a different set of ecological external factors than
Home Depot. Climate change is an external factor that creates opportunities for Ford
to grow through products that help in environmental conservation. The same effort
could take advantage of the low carbon trend. To address the impact of the declining
oil reserves on
Why We Shouldn T Go To War Dbq
1) Both Eugene V Debs and Randolph Bourne, thought that the US should not
enter WWI in their own opinions. In Document 22 2, Reading the American Past,
Eugene V Debs believed that the US shouldn t enter WWI because he believed that
the government and the upper class were the ones who made the decision to enter
the war. The lower class, or the majority of the people who fought the war, didn t
have a say whether or not they should enter the war. Another reason why the US
shouldn t go to war is because Eugene saw no problem with the Germans. He stated
in the document, They tell us that we live in a great free republic; that our
institutions are democratic; that we are a free and self governing people. My
understanding from this is that we shouldn t get involved in a war with another
nation who has no wrong towards us. It will just create more troubles we have to live
with. In Document 125, Voices of Freedom, Randolph Bourne believed that instead of

The Klan s biggest goal was to reestablish white supremacy all throughout the
southern part of the US. In Document 23 3, Reading the American Past, it shows us a
difference between the Reconstruction Klan versus the manifestation of the Klan in
the 1920s. During the manifestation of the Klan in the 1920s, Hiram W. Evans
believed that in order to change the reputation of the south, it was to take situations
to the government and let them solve the case, rather than using violence to help
rebuild white supremacy like the Klan in the Reconstruction period. He also states,
They saw, too, that the alien was tearing down the American standard of living,

Depression And Its Effects On An Individual s Life Essay
Depression is a mental illness that can have profound impacts on an individual s life.
Unfortunately though, our understanding of this disorder is limited. Contributing to
this is the fact that for several decades, there was only one theory on depression,
which was the monoamine theory. This theory rationalized that depression was due
to an absolute or relative deficiency of monoamines and that antidepressants work by
correcting this deficiency (Willner, Scheel KrГјger, Belzung, 2013). Only within the
last decade or two have there been new proposals on the causes of depression. These
new proposals have helped to increase our understanding of this disorder as well as
highlight flaws in the original theory. Among these is the neurogenesistheory of
depression.
This theory was established by BL Jacobs, H van Praag, and FH Gage (2000)
through a review of work that had been performed in the 1990s. Upon evaluation of
the previous literature, they found that drugs that increase serotonin such as d,l
fenfluramine also stimulate hippocampal neurogenesis. Due to this, they theorized
that the birth of new neurons in the hippocampus was an important factor in the
treatment of depression. This was an important revelation. Before their work,
depression was thought to be cured solely by increasing the level of deficient
neurotransmitters as evidenced by the monoamine theory. Although this had some
efficacy in treating depression it did not explain why antidepressant drugs took a

The Ones Who Walked Away From Omelas Analysis
The Moral Values of The Ones Who Walked Away From Omelas
Is it wrong to value one life more than another? The Ones Who Walked Away From
Omelas by Ursula K. Le Guin is a science fiction short story has themes of morality
versus prosperity, the nature of happiness itself, and sacrificing a human life for other
lives. The author puts the main focus on Omelas and how perfect it is, the
introduction has no signs of anything wrong with the society; until the child in the
basement is introduced. The author specifically put that there in order to heavily
contrast the living situations of the child in the basement and the people in the city.
The child in the basement must suffer in order for prosperity to flourish in Omelas.
The existence of the feeble minded child in the filthy basement a condition made for
the happiness and prosperity of the citizens, however, some realize that their
happiness isn t freedom and simply walk away thus creates the point of morality
versus prosperity, the nature of happiness itself.
The child in the basement is left to fend for itself, left covered in their own feces in
order to maintain the lavish lifestyle of the citizens of Omelas. Sacrifices should be
made only with the person s consent; the feeble minded child cannot consent to the
abusive behaviors that the citizens of Omelas do. In order for Omelas to flourish, the
child cannot feel happiness; which is a harsh sacrifice for the greater good. They
know that if the wretched one were not
Camillo s Contradictions
Most will agree that in The Winter s Tale, Camillo is one of the many complex and
ambivalent characters in the play. This is because Camillo s character seems to
show contradictions both in his actions and his speech. Camillo s doubleness raises
the question of whether his contradictions are rooted in honesty and morality or
selfishness and disloyalty. I would argue that his contradictions reflect a dissonance
between what he believes and what he is asked to do by his superiors and not a
display of duplicity.
As I watched the Public Theater s Mobile Shakespeare Unit production of The
Winter s Tale at The Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center on
Wednesday, November 15, my understanding of Camillo was amplified and my
previous claim reaffirmed. Camillo had no choice but to obey his superiors and his
conscience throughout the play. Camillo s acts of disobedience, manipulation or
deceitfulness might seem like acts of selfishness and disloyalty, but I disagree.
Through Joseph Hall s descriptions of The Character of the Wise Man , Of the
Honest Man and Of the Valiant Man in his Characters of virtues and vices, it is
evident that Camillo is a virtuous man and that his acts were a manifestation of his
loyalty to what he believed was right and honorable. Thus, through this angle, Camillo
s behavior is in fact constant throughout the play even when it appears contradictory.
Before I had watched the play, I had believed that Camillo had been the alternative
of Leontes and Polixenes because even as a servant of both kings, he displayed
more nobility and wisdom; yet still a shred of doubt planted by classmates lurked in
my mind. Were his intensions to be selfish and were they predetermined? Was he not
trustworthy and loyal? Was he treacherous? Did he deserve punishment? These
questions joggled in my head as the play began and I waited intently for Camillo s
depiction. At the same time, I held on to my first expectations of Camillo. I had
thought he would be portraited as an honorable person with good judgement, but I
was not sure what to expect when it came to the portrayal of his contradicting
behavior. If he loved the kings and was honorable, then why would he betray them
when this was considered a

individuals whom were convicted of a felony or other serious offense. Inmates are

Typically, feeling execrate or passionately hating someone means that you don t have

never had a good relationship with her dad because of everything he made her and

who clearly has not moved or buried the pass. The author uses countless flashbacks
like the big storm that came before the unfortunate death of her mother. Typically
this means that if other storms were to come Ellen would remember the big storm
that occurred on the day her mother died. Therefore, the author shows that anything
Ellen does is just a constant reminder of the past and unfortunates events like the
way she was treated by the people who claimed loved her. In this next passage, the

her emotions about her family. The author uses crazy when he describes the mental

Essay Topic #3: Global Poverty
Being poor can mean something to one individual compared to another. Whether it is
not having clean water to drink or not being able to afford a new laptop. Poverty is
very broad, without a single definition. Africa has the majority of the poorest
countries in the world. With that being said, the overall African income levels have
been dropping moderately to the rest of the world. Statistics show that in Sub Saharan
Africa, only 15% of women are agriculture landowners. There are different types of
poverties, relative, absolute and subjective poverty. Relative poverty is a state of
living where people can afford necessitates but are unable to meet their society s
average standard of living. Relative poverty is the idea of keeping up with those
individuals around you. Second, there is absolute poverty that demonstrates the
lack of basic necessities, which include food, clean water, safe housing and access to
healthcare. Those who live on less than $1.25 a day have defined this. In addition, in
2011, 17 percent of people living in the developing world lived at or below $1.25 a
day. I currently live on $52.00 a day and I find myself to barely manage necessities.
It s been crystal clear lately on what I can afford and what I need. Lastly, subjective

Jan Van Eyck artistic style is very identifiable. Eyck s use of iconography, the use of
symbolism in a work, occurred in a majority of his paintings. His creation of oil paint
allowed him to create a detailed painting with varying textures. The use of natural
lighting and vibrant colors, known as impasto, is very characteristic of Van Eyck
painting. Not much is known of Van Eyck s socio economic background however
based on the time period one can infer what influenced his artwork. The Lucca

an artistic period that occurred in Northern European countries such as the
Netherlands, Germany, Holland, England, and France. Artwork during the period was
influenced by gothic traditions, exploration of the new world, individualism, realism,
the formation of nation states and religion. The Northern Renaissance painting often
included iconography, intense detail and vibrant colors. Although Catholicism was
practiced in northern Europe, the end of feudalism diminished the church s power

their vision for the community. Seven counties believe that every life matters and,
if you can t overcome it alone we can overcome it together. (Seven Counties). I did
research other agencies within the area such as the National Youth Advocate
Program. I believe in their values but, I like the fact that the agency I chose works
with a broader range of issues. Another agency I researched was Communicare
Services. This particular agency offers direct case management to their clients.
Communicare is an agency that I have considered however, they too do not offer the
same services as Seven Counties. Seven counties collaborates with many outside
resources to better serve the community. They provide services in seven different
counties around Kentucky. They have services that adhere to children and families
in areas such as child and family behavioral health, prevention, substance abuse and
addiction, and developmental services. They also have crisis counselors on site 24
hours a day to help in an emergency. I like how the agency collaborates with the
community to help serve their clients. I believe that every individual is different with
different needs. Seven counties try to reach every client

Commend Earth Day: World Oldest Tree s Location Is Not Publicly Disclosed
Methuselah, the official world s oldest known living tree, is about 4,847 years old. It
is a Great Basin bristlecone pine that grows in the White Mountains of Inyo County in
eastern California. The exact location of the tree is not publicly disclosed as well as
no picture of it is shared for its protection.
According to New York Times, the officials did not impart any picture of
Methuselah because they fear that visitors can trace its exact location. This is to
safeguard the oldest tree from any harassment such as visitors carving their names in
the bark of the tree or recklessly cutting the tree. This happened before way back in

Edmund Schulman, a scientist and a dendrochronologist of the Laboratory of Tree

He seized few samples from the tree with a tool called increment borer and then

other hand, the existence and the age of the tree could not be confirmed by the
Laboratory of Tree Ring Research, the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive and the

off a mid term break in the sick bay doesn t exactly give the best start to the vacation.
Also in this line of the first stanzayou can see that Heaney had a since of isolation in
the morning before he went home for, what seems to be, a less than spectacular
mid term break. There are also a couple of literary devices used in the first stanza.
In line two there is alliteration and symbolism used. The line goes counting bells
knelling classes to a close. Knell commonly refers to a bell that is rung solemnly
for funerals and mourning of death. That can be seen as a symbol foreshadowing
what is yet to come later in the poem when the reader learns that Heaney s brother
had been ran over by a car. Bells knelling and classes to a close (l. 2) are alliteration.
It is alliteration because the cl s are the same sound and they occur very close to
each other. The word choice in line four, when the specific time of two o clock is
given, it reminds readers that when traumatic events... Show more content on

4 5) Heaney shows the readers that his dad most likely never cried or even showed
too much emotion when it came to death and mourning. It is also when Heaney
describes to the readers what his family s reaction to the death was like. Also in that
stanza and Big Jim Evans saying it was a hard blow is also a use of euphemism and
in a sense it is verbal irony as well. It is a euphemism because saying it was a hard
blow is a nicer way of saying that the death was very surprising and is not easy to
deal with. It was a hard blow can also be seen as verbal irony because the young boy

The Story Of The Guilty
Hi ya, sport, you look you could use a good stiff drink? a good sized man said to
Glenn as he handed him his champagne flute. Here, take mine. You re... you re,
John Candy, Glenn managed to utter as he gazed upon one of his favorite actors.
Guilty as charged, Candy replied with a chuckle. And that s Janis Joplin, Donna
Reed, and Rita Hayworth over there. Now, if you look to your right, you will see
Walter Cronkite and Kurt Cobain shooting the shit on the couch over there. And, that
s Billie Holiday you hear singing, she s on stage in the adjoining room. No shit...
wow... uttered Glenn completely flabbergasted as he took a large gulp of champagne.

Signs Of Aspiration In Children
Introduction Aspiration is the breathing in (inhalation) of a liquid or object into the
lungs. Things that can be inhaled into the lungs include: Food Any type of liquid,
such as drinks or saliva Stomach contents, such as vomit or stomach acid Aspiration
can be dangerous in children. It can cause problems that are both short term and long
term. Aspiration is most common in children younger than 4. You can take steps to
reduce the risk of aspiration. How do I know if my child is aspirating? Signs of
aspiration include: Coughing after swallowing food or liquids. Clearing his or her
throat often while eating. Having trouble breathing. This may include: Breathing
quickly. Breathing very slowly. Loud breathing. Rumbling sounds from the lungs

is not absorbing needed nutrients. Choking. Lung irritation, if your child aspirates
acidic food or drinks. Lung infection (pneumonia). Collection of infected liquid
(pus) in the lungs (lung abscess). In serious cases, death can occur. What can I do
to prevent my child from aspirating? The most common causes of aspiration in
children are: A lack of teeth Teeth that are not properly lined up Not having very
good control over chewing food Moving around while eating or drinking Putting
things in their mouth to learn about them Having developmental delays that affect
swallowing To help prevent aspiration: Cut up foods that are common choking

Make a rule that your child sits down while eating Feed your child smaller and
more frequent meals to reduce the risk of vomiting from overeating Remind your
child to eat and drink slowly and chew well. Make sure your child is alert and awake

Analysis of Samuel Taylor Coleridge s The Pains of Sleep...
Throughout the beginning of the poem there are religious undertones Coleridge
uses words like bended knee and reverential to highlight a religious belief and
perhaps a plea to God to cure the Pains of Sleep this is interesting as he seems to
feel humbled by the spirit presence. He mentions being weak but realises he is blest
by this power. The religious undertone suggests to me a feeling of utter helplessness.
There is a rhythm throughout the poem with strong rhyme, this pattern is like heavy
breathing you have when you try to go to sleep it could also represent the rhythmical
counting of sheep.
There is alliteration of the s sound this sounds like snoring and again follows the
gentle rhythmic pattern and also the words ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This captures the frustration and the regret of having to deal with the situation in a
Jeckle and Hyde sort of way, in that person one is very calm and although frustrated
manages to turn to religion for help whereas in the second part of the poem they rebel
against religion and it s teachings and have corrupt thoughts and feelings.
The alliteration of the s sound is used again here but in a different way the s becomes
a strong violent sound rather that the soft soothing one it was before
In the third part there is a combination of soft and hard sounds In the words that
underpin the confusion and turmoil the person is in still fighting but also pleading.
There is an underlying battle in which someone is fighting and not so much to go to
sleep but to complete any sort of task and succeed in their mission. I think it goes
futher than just sleep
A the end of the first part Coleridge uses a half rhyme which doesn t conform to the
rhyme scheme and is the only half rhyme In the poem this could signify the change
from the pleasant spirit world into the fight for justice and the strength that arrises
soo after this in the language.
Coleridge uses the word still twice on line 22 this indicates the disbelief that he is
still in this unfortunate situation and that he can t find a way to escape
Lines 17 and 18 are interesting because the alliteration crosses over from the th sound
of thoughts and

Mansfield Reformatory Theory
The Theory of the Mansfield Reformatory When it comes to theories and the
fundamentals that they depict, we always wonder just how true can theories be.
Often, we find ourselves believing the theory because it gives us some type of hope,
or it can help to justify certain events. However, to truly understand whether a theory
is real or not, we must be able to think critically. When it comes to this process, we
must take these steps into consideration such as consistency, evidence, competing
alternatives, and adequacy. The theory that the Mansfield State reformatory housed
paranormal activity, and how volunteers have experienced this phenomenon. Leads us
to question whether this theory is real, or could it be explained due to other causal

What Is The Figurative Language In A Cajun Night Before...
The children s book, A Cajun Night Before Christmas, by J. B. King, Jr. was
illustrated by James Rice. This book is an entertaining story that will bring anyone
back to their childhood imagination. It is one of the country s most widely acclaimed
Christmas books. The author used a delightful twist on A Visit from St. Nicholas but
with a Cajun(French Canadian descendants in the bayou areas of southern
Louisiana) patois. This parody was published over fourty five years ago by Pelican
publishing, which in turn has also published many other reinterpretations from many
different states. When Milburn Calhoun heard a reading of this story, He enlisted
Rice to provide the colorful illustrations, including the sight of St. Nick on a skiff
drawn by eight magic alligators, (The Cajun Night Before Christmas) and the story
was born. This classic tale of Santa arriving in a skiff, to bring presents to the
children, presents the prolific use of imagery, rich characterization of the unique
Cajun culture, and generous figurative language. This entertaining book puts a spin

The author s purpose was to transform the book A Visit from St. Nicholas into a
relatable read for children of a Cajun descent. Having no experience with the Cajun
language, may give someone trouble understanding what the words mean or even
how to pronounce them. This is the only downfall of this book. A true Cajun would
understand, Den out on de by you dey got such a clatter (7). The interpretation
would read, then out on the bayou they got such a clatter. The author fills in each
line with many Cajun words, such as: gumbo, Boudreau, alligator, skiff, and musk

his readers by not only the Cajun accent, but also with the use of figurative language

Relationship In Night By Elie Wiesel
Night Short Response In the memoir Night, by Elie Wiesel, one of the main themes
is family, more specifically the relationship between father and son. For many
people, family is something that they value the most. In the beginning, the first
priority of many of the inmates is to avoid separating from their family members
and not to lose them. However as the book progresses, the prisoners are more
concerned about surviving on their own rather than taking care of their loved ones,
who have become a burden. Elie later feels the same way about his old and sick
father, but tries to take care of him as much as he can. The most important thing that
gives Elie the strength to fight this battle, is his family. In the beginning, when the

his very best to help his father. No matter how many times Elie explains to his
father that they would return home soon, I knew that I was no longer arguing with
him but with Death itself, with Death that he had already chosen (Wiesel 105). His
father has grown so weak that he has lost hope. Elie feels a sense of helplessness
because he is not able to do anything for his father. His father s illness makes him
very fragile and vulnerable, and unable to do anything. Elie tries his very best to
fulfill all his wishes, but he struggles to do so. Although Elie is aware of the fact
that his father is going to die soon, he tries his best to give him as much as hope as
he possibly can. When he moves on with the mob and remembers that his father

He was a creator of expensive clothing that expressed delicacy and simplicity. His
designs were those of high fashion, uncomplicated and sophisticated. A specialty of
his was his collection of elegant evening gowns. These gowns were designed with
a high waisted silhouette. They were long, floor length gowns made of lace and
other luxurious and transparent fabrics. He is best remembered by his construction
of Wallis Simpson s wedding dress. The dress was designed for her marriage to
Edward, Duke of Windsor in 1936. The silhouette of the dress was floor length with
long sleeves and draping in the front. There were buttons that lined the torso just
below the bust line and was a powdered blue hue. Today, the dress is known to be the
most reproduced couture dress in fashion history. Mainbocher influenced fashion
again with his Mainbocher corset design. The design of the corset was of a nipped
in waist, which was not the usual silhouette of his time. This became one of the big
events of 1939 when his corset caused a controversy in France. The defined bosom
and back draping of his corset was a sudden change in silhouettes and also inspired
the Victorian designs that were later developed in the 1940s. While Mainbocher
main focus was to improve his signature styles, his career is also marked by his
innovative creation of the strapless evening dress and cinched in wasp waist, a

Sonia Sotomayor had a somewhat typical Puerto Rican childhood. She was born in

she learned to give herself insulin shots every day in her belly as well as boiling the

As a source, the letters are both useful and not. The good thing about the letters is
that they show how the soldiers felt about the war and how they were able to deal
with the constant fighting and the conditions they were in. It goes on from day to
day: alternately awful marches and then a whole day s inactive vegetating; heat and
cold; too much to eat and then a long spell of hunger. The downside is that they do
not give an overview of the war or tell the reader what is happening everywhere else
at all times. These letters best convey what the soldiers experienced and felt because
instead of historians writing about what they thought the soldiers experienced, it was
the actual soldiers expressing what they were going through during the war.
In All Quiet on the Western Erich Maria Remarque writes about what German
soldiers went through and about the relationships between one another. In his
book, the narrator is a German soldier who tells the reader a very detailed story about

Galoob Case Study
Discussion on court rulings: Fair use perspective The district court concluded that
Galoob is not liable for copyright infringement under U.S. Code В§ 107, a fair use
defense against direct infringement claim of Nintendo s copyrighted works. In
determining fair use factors, the court has greatly relied on the supreme court ruling
in the court case Sony v. Universal City Studios. (1984) in the context of contributory
infringement. The doctrine of fair usestates that any individual may reproduce a
copyrighted work for a fair use and that the copyrightowner does not possess the
exclusive right to such a use. Thus, permitting the holder of the copyrighted material
to use it in a reasonable manner without the consent of the copyright owner. In

Therefore, Galoob is not entitled to either temporary or permanent injunction. The

Their opponents do not score against them often in the movie.
In the movie, Coach Boone is a master motivator. He does an excellent job of
energizing his players, sustaining the motivation, directing the motivation to the
right players at the right time, and also knowing when to stop motivating. The
satisfaction progression hypothesis is also displayed in the movie. Coach Boone
knows that the small things, such as making the routine plays in the game, must be
done first before the main goal can be achieved, winning the game. He also has a
high expectancy of his team. He believes that the effort of his team will lead to
performance and that the performance will lead to results. He expects his team to
practice just as hard as they play in the game. Julius Campbell and Gary Bertier, the
two main characters on the team, are also excellent motivators. They get their
teammates pumped up before and during the game.
As with most sports teams, the Titans have an autocratic leadership style. Coach
Boone is the one and only person who makes the decisions, he is the main man in
charge. The style is productive, and the team wins games. Although he has assistant
coaches, such as Bill Yoast who is the defensive coordinator, all the decisions must
go through Coach Boone first. The democratic leadership style is not applicable on a
football team because that s why teams have coaches. The team does not make group
decisions. Coach Boone also uses Job Enlargement in Remember the

Cheating has almost become a regular practice in high school as 75% of students
admitted to cheating at least once in high school (ETS) according to one survey.
Cheating in high school typically carries over to higher education where there is

the technological age advances, are students educated on what constitutes cheatings,
has cheating become more mainstream in the American educational system, and is

development of the largest hydrogen fusion generator, ITER. ITER is the newest
fusion generator that is currently under construction in eastern France. It is being
funded by the European Union, Russia, the US, Japan, South Korea, and China.
The project is expected to run for at least thirty years, ten for its construction and
twenty for its usage. The project is expected to cost at leas 10 billion euros, with
the European Union paying a hefty part of the sum. The Torus at ITER is designed
to create at least 500 MW for about 500 seconds. The problem with hydrogen fusion
is that it still is in an experimental phase. Humans are still trying to develop a method
to gain more energy than is put in. Molecules of deuterium and tritium are the main
components in hydrogen fusion. Both deuterium and tritium are stable isotopes of
hydrogen. Fusion shows a lot of promise because it when tritium and deuterium fuse,
they release 17.6 MW of energy, the only problem is creating a way to do this
efficiently. We believe
The Late Middle Ages
The late Middle ages was definitely a troubled time for citizens around Europe.
From the 14th Century to the 15th Century, humans were raveled by famines,
disruption of socio economics, and lost of faith in the Catholic Church. To the eyes
of many at the time, this era was looked at as a major decline of life. With the many
deaths, poor condition for poor people, and the schism of the Church, it may seem
easy to call this era a decline. Although upon closer looking, this era is more of a
transitional period into the next period than a decline due to many reasons. Whether
you look at religious, social movements, or economically, the late Middle Ageshelped
transition Europe into what it has become.
For example, the church went through a great ... Show more content on

The Plague. The Plague had killed many valuable lives which slowed economic
growth and productivity. This was a negative impact on Europe but with this
negative impact also came a positive impact. Due to the loss of many lives, demand
for all careers were high. This gave the common people an ability to fight for better
pay. This high demand for all occupations and increased price on all products
benefited all workers. Matteo Villani states, But the mortality offered exceptional
opportunities, showing how important these were for the future of all common
people and workers. It may be easy to say that the economy was affected negatively
with limited resources and a smaller workforce, overall the events have created the
transition of how workers should be treated and better
Evil Vs Evil
Why? is a common response to most suffering, pain, loss, and problem caused by
evil. An important human aspect is that upon suffering humans always demand a
response which perfectly answers this major problem of evil. However, one needs
to understand that God chose not to give an answer to every question one may have.
All this been said, Specific Evil as the Result of Specific Sins, Godas the Victim of
Evil, and The Life Hereafter are extremely important themes to answer not in a
perfect way the problem of: Why God allows evil to exist in the world? An important
question that cannot be ignored is how the Christian faith handles faith through
suffering with friend, neighbors, family members and society as a whole. It is due to
faith, love,
Classification of Gangs
Classification of Gangs Introduction The problem of classifying gangs has
interested both sociologists and law enforcement. For the purpose of law
enforcement, a gang is generally defined as an organized group among the members
of which there is well designed communication. This paper evaluates classification
schemes from current research for gangs. The objective is to discover the issues and
problems in creating classifications for gangs including a definition which delineates
what constitutes a gang and differentiates it from other social and sports groups. The
paper also compares approaches to classifications of gangs and evaluates how these
classifications provide specific insights or information about gangs in a community....

They are commonly found in US Mexico border. Classification approaches towards
gangs are generally carried out according to the structure of the gang, their
respective membership, and even on the basis of their ethnicity. Pyrooz Decker,
(2011) have identified three forms of gangs which are named as; street gangs,
outlaw motorcycle gangs and prison gangs. In this method of classification, local
street gangs are termed as the ones which occur most frequently at the community
level. These are the forms of gangs which engage in drug related crimes and
violence. According to Pyrooz Decker, (2011), majority of street gangs are
inherently based at local level and they tend to operate in single locations. Prison
gangs are described as those whose networks are structured to a high degree and
they tend to operate within prison systems. In addition, members of these gangs are
the ones who have been released from prison (Hegemann, Smith, Barbaro, 2011).
With respect to law enforcement, these gangs are the most challenging to deal with.
Membership of prison gangs is usually composed of fewer than fifty members.
Another approach towards classification of gangs is carried out according to the life
of the gangs. These gangs are termed as scavenger gangs, territorial gangs and
organized gangs. Scavenger gangs have little structure and their size is also small.
School gangs are one frequently found instance of
The Political Cartoon Privacy Wars
The Political Cartoon titled Privacy Wars, deals with Bill C 51 and its impact on
Canadian individuals rights and freedoms; all of which ties into Chapter Three and
The Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Within the political cartoon, Stephen Harper
the former prime minister of Canada is portrayed as Darth Vader, who is seen
holding a paper labelled Bill C 51. In a text bubble beside him are the written words,
trust me. The cartoonist mainly emphasizes the Bill C 51 labelled paper and the title
PrivacyWars, by using bold fonts and centring the lettering. The reason for this is
because of how much the Bill contradicted individuals privacy rights. Not only did it
infringe Canadian s privacy, but it also violated virtually every Charter Right and

Canadian authorities were accused of making accusations on Canadian s Abdullah
Almalki, Ahmad Elmaati, and Muayyed Nureddin, saying they were terrorists.
Authorities even provided questions for interrogators. Confessions obtained through
torture were used to justify search warrants. It was later discovered by The Fifth
Estate that internal documents obtained information revealing Canadian authorities
knew the men were being tortured and even collaborated with Syrian officials in
interrogations. This is only one of many examples of how CSIS and Bill C 51 has
abused The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It has also been stated that
Bill C 51 has legalized misconduct and allows the violation of civil

How Did Lucretia Mott Promote Civil Rights
The American Civil Rights movement was started to give all Americans,
regardless of their race or gender, a chance to vote and live equally. Many men and
woman, black and white, fought for this civil rights reform, putting their lives at
risk. Lucretia Mott was a brave, white woman who gave her all to the women s and
black s cause for civil rights.
Lucretia Mott had strong opinions on civil rights. Mott was a strong women s rights
activist and abolitionist. She believed that black and white men and women were all
equal. Mott has said, The world has never let seen a truly great and virtuous nation
because in the degradation of women the very foundations of life are poisoned at the

Her Quaker community started her on the right path with anti slavery views that she
continued with for the rest of her life. Specifically, her parents promoted her to be
useful and strong. Her mother gave her an example by taking over for her father
when he died. This woman worked hard and never gave up just like Lucretia Mott
later did. She also experienced the Civil War and stood up with her family to help
slaves (loc.gov). Her husband was very supportive as well, especially because he
participated in the Pennsylvania Abolition Society and worked for civil rights before
he married Lucretia Mott
Dance In Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance techniques
There is a lot of confusion when you are asking about the contemporary dance as a
lot of people even the dancers don t know what the actual dance form is. Actually,
the dance form changes from time to time so it is not easy to adapt as you have to
change with time. Every now and then there are new experiments and discoveries in
the field of contemporary dance. A lot of people and schools are there who claim to
have expertise on the contemporary dance but they usually teach other forms of
dance like ballroom, salsa or some jazz styles. So it is not about the dancing style but
shape you re in while your movement in dancing which indicates a proper technique
of contemporary dance.
So in the training, the focus must be on the positions and shape rather than the
styles while attending the classes to learn the contemporary style of dancing. Every
lesson will surprise you as it will be very different from the previously taken lesson.
These dancing classes are very good for the preparation of a huge range of
movements possible in a student like dynamics, various forms, and the qualities. That
is the only reason contemporary dancers are seen ... Show more content on

The major difference which draws a line between contemporary dance and other
dance techniques is the relaxed movement which you can see only in
contemporary dance. It has different names in different places, some call it Release
Technique . The dancing is very different from a gym workout as it can be done in
a very relaxed way and keeps you away from unnecessary tension. The execution of
movement is very essential while performing a contemporary dance as it enhances
the self awareness of the dancer. The dancing form allows the freedom of the well
being of a dancer rather than just some physical training exercises which help to
improve a dancer in both mind and body. Professional dancers love this technique a
lot as it is very pleasant to work

Personal Analysis Essay

  • 1. Personal Analysis Essay Writing an essay on the topic of "Personal Analysis" can be quite challenging due to its inherent nature of introspection and self-analysis. It requires delving deep into one's own thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviors, which can be both rewarding and daunting. Firstly, articulating personal thoughts and experiences in a coherent and structured manner poses a significant challenge. It requires not only introspection but also the ability to translate abstract feelings and reflections into concrete language that effectively communicates the intended message to the reader. Moreover, maintaining objectivity while analyzing oneself can be difficult. It's natural for individuals to have biases or blind spots when reflecting on their own experiences, which can influence the analysis and potentially undermine its credibility. Striking a balance between self- awareness and objectivity is crucial in ensuring the essay remains insightful and credible. Additionally, the process of self-analysis can be emotionally taxing. It may unearth uncomfortable truths or memories, leading to feelings of vulnerability or unease. Navigating these emotions while maintaining focus on the essay's objective can be challenging and requires a certain level of emotional intelligence and resilience. Furthermore, the scope of the topic itself is vast and multifaceted. Personal analysis can encompass various aspects such as personality traits, strengths and weaknesses, past experiences, goals and aspirations, and their impact on personal growth and development. Narrowing down the focus and selecting relevant aspects to discuss can be a daunting task in itself. In conclusion, writing a personal analysis essay requires not only strong writing skills but also self-awareness, objectivity, emotional resilience, and the ability to navigate complex and introspective themes. It's a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that can lead to profound insights and personal growth. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. Rangeland paddocks in NSW usually contain a variety of grass, forbs and browse species. Of the 12 key species observed in this project Sclerolaena, Stipa and Bottlewashers (Enneapogon spp) were the most common and were abundant in all paddocks. Palatability of Sclerolaena spp ranges from low to high depending on the species and stage of maturity. Of the nine species of Sclerolaena listed by Brooke and McGarva (1998) in western NSW, about half are moderately utilised at the early stage of maturity or when other forages are scarce. (2003) in comparing indigenous fat tailed and Dorper sheep found that Dorper sheep had significantly (P 0.05) in Dorper than in Merino sheep and this occurred when fed the lower quality, wheaten chaff diet. Therefore glucose synthesis may potentially be higher in Dorper compared to Merino sheep. This is an important finding and this may have contributed to the superior production responses reported by several researchers including Scanlon et al. (2013) of Dorper compared to Merino sheep, especially when fed on low quality, roughage
  • 3. Climate Change And Its Effects On The Earth The amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions that are produced and released in the atmosphere from Canada, the United States (U.S), and many other countries, is a big issue for the planet s health since it causes climate change. Climate change has various damaging effects on the earth. It can cause severe weather such as floods, droughts, etc. Some political parties agree that a carbon pricing policy should be implemented, like the Green party, New Democratic Party(NDP), and the Liberals, while other parties think that it isn t worth implementing, like the Conservatives. Implementing a carbon policy will take a lot of time, effort, and money, and might unfairly target those who are at a disadvantage, like low income people or those living in remote areas, making them pay more taxes. But to avoid the harmful effects of climate change, Canadaneeds to implement a carbon pricing policy a method that has made a significant change in many countries that decided to tax or cap carbon emissions. In their platform, the Green Party states, We will place a fee on carbon, and pay the funds it generates directly to every Canadian over age 18 in the form of an annual carbon dividend. They have set out The Carbon Fee and Dividend Plan, which puts a price on carbon that will make polluters pay for whatever emissions they emit. Outlined in the NDP s platform in the plan to reintroduce Jack Layton s Climate Change Accountability Act, which is: An Act to ensure Canada assumes its

I am not relying on any kind of large inheritance from my family. What are your thoughts about this insurance? Will it be helpful to have? Do you need further information from me? A.A. Answer: When people need long term care it usually is because they have had some sort of debilitating illness, an injury, or perhaps it is from the effects of aging. The cause might be temporary but recovery will be over an extended period of time or care could be required for the rest of their life. No matter the reason or the time frame, the cost of help can be quite expensive and most health insurance policies do not cover many of the expenses because they are not medical in nature. Long term care insurance was created to help cover some the extra expenses such as an assisted living facility or nursing home. According to a study by Stanford University, one third. More than half the respondents view this issue as extremely or very important, almost double the number just a decade ago. (Rothaermel, 2017) Consumers demanded for more green products, the Home Depot responded. The company launched a new product label called Eco Options On Earth Day 2007. It used strict criteria to designate products as ecologically friendly in five ways: Sustainable Forestry. Clean Air, Water Conservation, Energy Efficient, and Healthy Home. (Rothaermel, 2017) Home Depot suppliers have been motivated to innovate their offerings to earn Eco Options, even more ecologically friendly products, such as super low flow toilets and energy efficient appliances and lighting. The Eco Options label brought in about S2.2 billion in sales with over 4000 stock keeping units (SKUs) that carry the brand. According to Rothaerel,2017, the average customer s purchase basket that contains an Eco Options product was $107, compared with an over average of $58; implying that the Eco Options label garnered an 85 percent price premium. In Document 22 2, Reading the American Past, Eugene V Debs believed that the US shouldn t enter WWI because he believed that the government and the upper class were the ones who made the decision to enter the war. The lower class, or the majority of the people who fought the war, didn t have a say whether or not they should enter the war. Another reason why the US shouldn t go to war is because Eugene saw no problem with the Germans. He stated in the document, They tell us that we live in a great free republic; that our institutions are democratic; that we are a free and self governing people. My understanding from this is that we shouldn t get involved in a war with another nation who has no wrong towards us. It will just create more troubles we have to live with. • 9. Depression And Its Effects On An Individual s Life Essay Depression is a mental illness that can have profound impacts on an individual s life. Unfortunately though, our understanding of this disorder is limited. Contributing to this is the fact that for several decades, there was only one theory on depression, which was the monoamine theory. This theory rationalized that depression was due to an absolute or relative deficiency of monoamines and that antidepressants work by correcting this deficiency (Willner, Scheel KrГјger, Belzung, 2013). Only within the last decade or two have there been new proposals on the causes of depression. These new proposals have helped to increase our understanding of this disorder as well as highlight flaws in the original theory. Among these is the neurogenesistheory of depression. This theory was established by BL Jacobs, H van Praag, and FH Gage (2000) through a review of work that had been performed in the 1990s. Upon evaluation of the previous literature, they found that drugs that increase serotonin such as d,l fenfluramine also stimulate hippocampal neurogenesis. Due to this, they theorized that the birth of new neurons in the hippocampus was an important factor in the treatment of depression. This was an important revelation. Before their work, depression was thought to be cured solely by increasing the level of deficient neurotransmitters as evidenced by the monoamine theory. Although this had some efficacy in treating depression it did not explain why antidepressant drugs took a while

The Ones Who Walked Away From Omelas by Ursula K. Le Guin is a science fiction short story has themes of morality versus prosperity, the nature of happiness itself, and sacrificing a human life for other lives. The author puts the main focus on Omelas and how perfect it is, the introduction has no signs of anything wrong with the society; until the child in the basement is introduced. The author specifically put that there in order to heavily contrast the living situations of the child in the basement and the people in the city. The child in the basement must suffer in order for prosperity to flourish in Omelas. The existence of the feeble minded child in the filthy basement a condition made for the happiness and prosperity of the citizens, however, some realize that their happiness isn t freedom and simply walk away thus creates the point of morality versus prosperity, the nature of happiness itself. The child in the basement is left to fend for itself, left covered in their own feces in order to maintain the lavish lifestyle of the citizens of Omelas. Sacrifices should be made only with the person s consent; the feeble minded child cannot consent to the abusive behaviors that the citizens of Omelas do. In order for Omelas to flourish, the child cannot feel happiness; which is a harsh sacrifice for the greater good. They know that if the wretched one were not
  • 11. Camillo s Contradictions Most will agree that in The Winter s Tale, Camillo is one of the many complex and ambivalent characters in the play. This is because Camillo s character seems to show contradictions both in his actions and his speech. Camillo s doubleness raises the question of whether his contradictions are rooted in honesty and morality or selfishness and disloyalty. I would argue that his contradictions reflect a dissonance between what he believes and what he is asked to do by his superiors and not a display of duplicity. As I watched the Public Theater s Mobile Shakespeare Unit production of The Winter s Tale at The Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center on Wednesday, November 15, my understanding of Camillo was amplified and my previous claim reaffirmed. Camillo had no choice but to obey his superiors and his conscience throughout the play. Camillo s acts of disobedience, manipulation or deceitfulness might seem like acts of selfishness and disloyalty, but I disagree. Through Joseph Hall s descriptions of The Character of the Wise Man , Of the Honest Man and Of the Valiant Man in his Characters of virtues and vices, it is evident that Camillo is a virtuous man and that his acts were a manifestation of his loyalty to what he believed was right and honorable. Thus, through this angle, Camillo s behavior is in fact constant throughout the play even when it appears contradictory. Before I had watched the play, I had believed that Camillo had been the alternative of Leontes and Polixenes because even as a servant of both kings, he displayed more nobility and wisdom; yet still a shred of doubt planted by classmates lurked in my mind. Were his intensions to be selfish and were they predetermined? Was he not trustworthy and loyal? Was he treacherous? Did he deserve punishment? These questions joggled in my head as the play began and I waited intently for Camillo s depiction. At the same time, I held on to my first expectations of Camillo. I had thought he would be portraited as an honorable person with good judgement, but I was not sure what to expect when it came to the portrayal of his contradicting behavior. If he loved the kings and was honorable, then why would he betray them when this was considered a

The University Of Texas Of The Permian Basin Essay Global Poverty Naraly Rodriguez Dr. Davor Jedlicka Introduction to Sociology Fall B 2016 The University of Texas of the Permian Basin Essay Topic #3: Global Poverty Being poor can mean something to one individual compared to another. Whether it is not having clean water to drink or not being able to afford a new laptop. Poverty is very broad, without a single definition. Africa has the majority of the poorest countries in the world. With that being said, the overall African income levels have been dropping moderately to the rest of the world. He says, I sat all morning in the college sick bay (l. 1). This instantly strains away any positive thoughts that one might have had from simply reading the title. Starting off a mid term break in the sick bay doesn t exactly give the best start to the vacation. Also in this line of the first stanzayou can see that Heaney had a since of isolation in the morning before he went home for, what seems to be, a less than spectacular mid term break. There are also a couple of literary devices used in the first stanza. In line two there is alliteration and symbolism used. The line goes counting bells knelling classes to a close. Knell commonly refers to a bell that is rung solemnly for funerals and mourning of death. That can be seen as a symbol foreshadowing what is yet to come later in the poem when the reader learns that Heaney s brother had been ran over by a car. Bells knelling and classes to a close (l. 2) are alliteration. It is alliteration because the cl s are the same sound and they occur very close to each other. • 28. Relationship In Night By Elie Wiesel Night Short Response In the memoir Night, by Elie Wiesel, one of the main themes is family, more specifically the relationship between father and son. For many people, family is something that they value the most. In the beginning, the first priority of many of the inmates is to avoid separating from their family members and not to lose them. However as the book progresses, the prisoners are more concerned about surviving on their own rather than taking care of their loved ones, who have become a burden. Elie later feels the same way about his old and sick father, but tries to take care of him as much as he can. No matter how many times Elie explains to his father that they would return home soon, I knew that I was no longer arguing with him but with Death itself, with Death that he had already chosen (Wiesel 105). His father has grown so weak that he has lost hope. Elie feels a sense of helplessness because he is not able to do anything for his father. His father s illness makes him very fragile and vulnerable, and unable to do anything. Elie tries his very best to fulfill all his wishes, but he struggles to do so. Although Elie is aware of the fact that his father is going to die soon, he tries his best to give him as much as hope as he possibly can. When he moves on with the mob and remembers that his father was with him, a thought crept into my mind: if only I didn t find him! If only I were relieved of this responsibility, I could use all my strength to fight for my survival...Instantly, I felt ashamed, ashamed of myself forever (Wiesel 106). Elie knows that his father is a threat to his survival because he is sick and can no longer do anything. However, Elie is guilty of even thinking this about his father. Sonias disease is what pushed her for a better future. Sonia Sotomayor had a somewhat typical Puerto Rican childhood. She was born in New York to her parents Juan Luis Sotomayor and Celina Baez de Sotomayor. Her only sibling was her younger brother, Juan Luis Sotomayor Jr. who was born when she was three years old. She grew up reading Nancy Drew books and dreamed of being a police detective. (Bernier,) At age eight, she was diagnosed with diabetes. Galoob Case Study Discussion on court rulings: Fair use perspective The district court concluded that Galoob is not liable for copyright infringement under U.S. Code В§ 107, a fair use defense against direct infringement claim of Nintendo s copyrighted works. The satisfaction progression hypothesis is also displayed in the movie.
