This document compares the performance of three transform techniques—Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Discrete Hartley Transform (DHT), and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT)—used in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems, with BPSK as the modulation method. The study presents simulation results indicating that while the DHT and FFT yield similar bit error rates (BER), the DCT demonstrates superior performance due to its energy compaction properties. Overall, the DHT and DCT methods are proposed as efficient alternatives to the traditional FFT in OFDM system design.
