This document discusses the active and passive voice in English grammar. The active voice is more common and indicates that the subject of the verb is performing the action. The passive voice is used when the action is more important than who is performing it. To change an active sentence to the passive voice, the verb "to be" is used along with the past participle of the main verb. Examples are provided of changing sentences between the active and passive voice in different tenses. Exercises are also included where readers practice transforming verbs into the passive voice.
