Question Tags Use
• The question tags are short questions located at the end
of sentences.
• They are used to confirm something that is true or not.
• We use negative question tags with affirmative
sentences.
• We use affirmative question tags with negative
sentences.
• We use the verb do in the question tag
if there is no auxiliary verb in the main
sentence.
E.g., I don’t have to stay. Do I?

• To form a question tag we have to use an
auxiliary verb and the subject of the
sentence.
E.g., Darth Vader is my cat, isn’t it?

(Si la oración principal usa el verbo to be (is),
entonces de igual forma se usara en la question tag y
Darth Vader será remplazado por el pronombre it)
