responsible to carry out th activities concerning
external quality assurance of the educational
system of Georgia

• 278 higher educational
institutions (mostly private)
• uncomparable programms
• problems with the recognition
of education abroad
• no or weak internal quality
assurance in HEIs
• no standarts / benchmarks for
accreditation o educational
programms
• all HEIs authorized
concerning their mission, with
a regard to national objectives
of higher education
• 75 HEIs
• three cycle education, NQF,
ECTS, Diploma supplement
and othr Bologna tools
implemented
• standarts for authorization
and accreditation
• requirement for external and
internal QA

NCEQE is concerned with the quality of
education, its continuous improvement and
raising confidence of local and international
community in Georgian education area

  • 2. About NCEQE National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Established in 2006 by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia State founded, but independent agency, responsible to carry out th activities concerning external quality assurance of the educational system of Georgia
  • 3. System Development - 2006 - 2014 Before Now • 278 higher educational institutions (mostly private) • uncomparable programms • problems with the recognition of education abroad • no or weak internal quality assurance in HEIs • no standarts / benchmarks for accreditation o educational programms • all HEIs authorized concerning their mission, with a regard to national objectives of higher education • 75 HEIs • three cycle education, NQF, ECTS, Diploma supplement and othr Bologna tools implemented • standarts for authorization and accreditation • requirement for external and internal QA
  • 4. Mission Together with each and every member of the society and educational institutions the NCEQE is concerned with the quality of education, its continuous improvement and raising confidence of local and international community in Georgian education area
