A Road Map To Eradicate
Unemployment
Unemployment is Inability of providing gainful work to people
who are willing to work
Unemployment rate in India is 2%
in rural areas and 3% in urban
India.
The unemployment rate per 1,000
population is at 27, while it was 25
two years ago. As on January 1,
2010, the number of unemployed
was 9.8 million. By January 1, 2012,
it has increased to 10.8 million.
Solution – Boosting skill sets
Initially concentrate on two things:
1. Secondary Education
2. Professional Education
Reforms to be included in the curriculum:
We divide it in two categories :
1. From class 9 to 10
2. From class 11 to 12
 Class 11th onwards: Provide deep knowledge about careers available in the chosen
stream.
 Again Guest lectures in the chosen field from experts which will help in practical
application of curriculum.
 Industry visits and practical experience to improve skills.
 Regular assessment to be conducted by schools: Weaker students to get more attention
so that there is no disparity.
Category two:
 9th class onwards: Provide students with broad knowledge of different career options.
In this we can add:
Guest lectures by experts of different fields who can briefly describe their field.
Practical experience of different fields for students will help analyze a suitable stream.
 Class 10th: Conduct Aptitude test.
 Will help to advice a student about his/her knowledge and interest.
 Focus not only on traditional careers but also on contemporary careers like – sports,
photography, dancing, music, fashion designing, painting, etc.
 Career counseling: Both for parents and students. This will help ensure both are aware
of the opportunities in that field.

 Central Government should tie-up with industries and accordingly design curriculum.
 It should be implemented by respective boards in their schools.
 In turn schools should send back the status and progress report to government.
Who is also being a monitoring agency should share the same with respective industries
for further and future hiring.
 Revised Professional Degree Syllabus : In accordance with requirements
needed by the Industries/Companies in a fresher.
 Practical Experience for every Professional Course
It must include
• Industrial Tour and Internship
 It makes them aware about kind of work they will do in Future.
 Work as driving force to sharpen their Skills.
 Guest lectures by experts helps them to see real picture of their
respective fields.
 Small field work or Ground assessment helps them to feel the
ground reality.
 Help them to tackle the problems. Which eventually sharpen their skill
more effectively.
 Youth must be made aware about Entrepreneurship and other streams.
It could be made possible by running T.V. Programs like
‘SATYAMEV JAYATE’. Wherein, a credible celebrity presents ins-outs and
pros & cons of a situation for larger audience which does have impact and
advantage.
 There should be pre-speech before the movie, which tells about the up-
coming career options.
Like we have for cigarette and tobacco.
It can be made promoted by real life achievers like Sania Nehval, M.S. Dhoni,
film stars like Irfan or other such significant personalities of different fields.
 Every student should be motivated to participate in social works, organizing
events etc. because these things makes a great impact during their job
interviews .
 Schemes launched by government focus on how to produce jobs for youth.
 Most of the programs of government also focus on vocational training.
 Therefore it will be much easier and effective if we start focusing on skills of
our youth from primary level onwards.
 Practical approach and professional jobs go hand in hand these days.
 After going through the path as designed above they are very much familiar
with the terms and conditions existing in corporate world.
“ Engineering is not just a degree it is an approach how to apply what have you
learned in it. This stands true for any other stream of education also.”
Instead of focusing to generate more funds if we are able to utilize Government’s
allocated budgets in real sense, we assume, this can itself be a great financial resource. Like
NSDC(National Skill Development Council) has lot many programmes but unfortunately it
hardly exist on ground.
Therefore, what we need to, run and monitor all such programmes in a manner that it
can be ensured that target beneficiaries are actually and effectively getting the advantage.
 Corporate can also be motivated to contribute in this national cause for the overall
development of the country.
and more :
Rather than funds, It is basically an issue of Actual Will, Real Direction, and Positive Attitude
of all concerned, namely youth themselves, the government and our society.
Let’s Walk Hand In Hand to Tackle This National Issue For Better
& Brighter India

Being unable to channelize their skills, talents and potentials in a positive and constructive direction, create terrific social imbalance and indiscipline.” A Road Map To Eradicate Unemployment
  • 2. Unemployment is Inability of providing gainful work to people who are willing to work Unemployment rate in India is 2% in rural areas and 3% in urban India. The unemployment rate per 1,000 population is at 27, while it was 25 two years ago. As on January 1, 2010, the number of unemployed was 9.8 million. By January 1, 2012, it has increased to 10.8 million.

  • 4. Solution – Boosting skill sets Initially concentrate on two things: 1. Secondary Education 2. Professional Education Reforms to be included in the curriculum: We divide it in two categories : 1. From class 9 to 10 2. From class 11 to 12
  • 5.  Class 11th onwards: Provide deep knowledge about careers available in the chosen stream.  Again Guest lectures in the chosen field from experts which will help in practical application of curriculum.  Industry visits and practical experience to improve skills.  Regular assessment to be conducted by schools: Weaker students to get more attention so that there is no disparity. Category two:  9th class onwards: Provide students with broad knowledge of different career options. In this we can add: Guest lectures by experts of different fields who can briefly describe their field. Practical experience of different fields for students will help analyze a suitable stream.  Class 10th: Conduct Aptitude test.  Will help to advice a student about his/her knowledge and interest.  Focus not only on traditional careers but also on contemporary careers like – sports, photography, dancing, music, fashion designing, painting, etc.  Career counseling: Both for parents and students. This will help ensure both are aware of the opportunities in that field. Category one:
  • 6. Central Gov. Monitoring CBSE ICSC STATE BOARD Industry/ Company Tie-ups Employs /Expert Appoint Respective Schools Execute  Central Government should tie-up with industries and accordingly design curriculum.  It should be implemented by respective boards in their schools.  In turn schools should send back the status and progress report to government. Who is also being a monitoring agency should share the same with respective industries for further and future hiring.
  • 7.  Revised Professional Degree Syllabus : In accordance with requirements needed by the Industries/Companies in a fresher.  Practical Experience for every Professional Course It must include • Industrial Tour and Internship  It makes them aware about kind of work they will do in Future.  Work as driving force to sharpen their Skills.  Guest lectures by experts helps them to see real picture of their respective fields.  Small field work or Ground assessment helps them to feel the ground reality.  Help them to tackle the problems. Which eventually sharpen their skill more effectively.
  • 8.  Youth must be made aware about Entrepreneurship and other streams. It could be made possible by running T.V. Programs like ‘SATYAMEV JAYATE’. Wherein, a credible celebrity presents ins-outs and pros & cons of a situation for larger audience which does have impact and advantage.  There should be pre-speech before the movie, which tells about the up- coming career options. Like we have for cigarette and tobacco. It can be made promoted by real life achievers like Sania Nehval, M.S. Dhoni, film stars like Irfan or other such significant personalities of different fields.  Every student should be motivated to participate in social works, organizing events etc. because these things makes a great impact during their job interviews .
  • 9.  Schemes launched by government focus on how to produce jobs for youth.  Most of the programs of government also focus on vocational training.  Therefore it will be much easier and effective if we start focusing on skills of our youth from primary level onwards.  Practical approach and professional jobs go hand in hand these days.  After going through the path as designed above they are very much familiar with the terms and conditions existing in corporate world. “ Engineering is not just a degree it is an approach how to apply what have you learned in it. This stands true for any other stream of education also.”
  • 10. Instead of focusing to generate more funds if we are able to utilize Government’s allocated budgets in real sense, we assume, this can itself be a great financial resource. Like NSDC(National Skill Development Council) has lot many programmes but unfortunately it hardly exist on ground. Therefore, what we need to, run and monitor all such programmes in a manner that it can be ensured that target beneficiaries are actually and effectively getting the advantage.  Corporate can also be motivated to contribute in this national cause for the overall development of the country. and more : Rather than funds, It is basically an issue of Actual Will, Real Direction, and Positive Attitude of all concerned, namely youth themselves, the government and our society. Let’s Walk Hand In Hand to Tackle This National Issue For Better & Brighter India जय भारत जय भारती !
