I was started to become more aware of the things I do that prevents me from
sleeping period. I started giving up the social media, playing video games, and
cramming work all in one night. With this being don t I had plenty of time on my
hands to take care of more important things and on top of that have the time to sleep
peacefully.
Stimulus Control Stimulus control was very effective on my behavior. The
presences my roommate was there at all times making sure I was up or making
sure I was sleep at the set time that was given. Also, another thing he did was made
sure I competed all of my work on time before I went to bed every night. The
Premack principle was only employed was input throughout this long process by
limiting my activities and completing things like this project on time. Instead of
cramming all night messing up my sleep patterns.
Application
At first, just trying to find a time for me to go to sleep was a real pain to figure.

I have people in my family that have many negative perceptions about the asian
culture. For example, I have a family member that refuses to eat Chinese food out of
fear of eating dog meat. This is very irrational, and I do not have perceptions like
these. In my own culture, we eat mostly with our without hands. I have had a
server bring me a washcloth to wash my hands before I start eating to prevent
bacterial contamination. I still noticed the integrity within this culture and my

with after studying his life and the people around him. Though, we will never know

This goes to show to the reader how men in the 19th century treated their wives as
possessions, they had a firm hold on their wives which was supported by society.
Women who decided to think or act for themselves were seen as bad mothers and
wives, being ostracized completely by all. Edna slowly begins to realize that she is
treated and seen as a piece of property, and a part of her awakening is her realization
that she as an individual, as a womanwith desires and needs, is more important than
her demanding family and society. Even though throughout the novella Edna is seen
adoring Madame Ratignolle, she does not want to be in her place or change herself in
order to fit her role as a mother.
The imagery and symbolism of the bird is depicted through the novella, where the

In the film Blood Diamond, the director Edward Zwick uses the opening and closing
scenes to show the socio political effects of western consumerism in an
underdeveloped society, in particular the Conflict Diamond trade and its effects, he
uses this to highlight the idea of the boy being the diamond within the film.
Consumerism is seen to be the cause of death and destruction in the once beautiful
landscape of Africa with portrait shots of mountains and beautiful sunsets. In both
scenes the director uses camera shots, sounds and overall mis en scene/editing to
create these themes/ideas.
The socio political thriller brings chaos and brutality to the forefront of what is a
little known conflict trade. While the movie is full with dynamic characters the real
