2. Argument
Wherever you are in nature, on a journey or a trip, you
need to learn how to orient.
Orientation means to establish the position of the
place where you are, the position of the place where
you want to go and the direction of travelling,
according to the Cardinal points.
There may be situations when we don’t have a map or
other means of orientation that could help us. So, we
have to manage with whatever we can find around us.
3. Objectives
O1- The practice of the acquired knowledge and skills
in real life situations.
O2- The correlation of the geographical terms with
specific geographical elements directly observed (on
the field)
O3- To show the position of the identified elements,
using Cardinal points.
4. Instructions on the activity
Setting goals
Presenting the activity
Research
Setting ways of performing the activity
Scientific observation
Gathering the facts
Conclusions

11. *Other orientation means:
1. The Orthodox churches have their altars headed East
and their entrances headed West.
2. The crosses in cemeteries are at the West of the
graves.
15. Conclusions:
The outdoor learning activity gave the students the
possibility of walking, of developing their
imagination and of better understanding the
benefits that nature provides us.
The way in which this activity happened
stimulated the students to closely observe the
environment, to cooperate and to practice their
knowledge.
