Nicolae Coculescu Elementary School in ScorniceÅŸti was established in 1864 and renamed in 2011 after the famous astronomer Nicolae Coculescu. The school has 422 students taught by 36 teachers across 22 classrooms, and focuses on projects involving volunteering, the environment, health, education, and folk dancing. It celebrates numerous activities and holidays throughout the year, including Fruit and Vegetables Week, Let's Do It Romania, and sports like football, cycling, and handball.
