3. Scornicesti is a town in Olt county, Muntenia,
Romania. With a population of 11.766 residents,
it was declared a town in 1989.
The town consists of Scornicesti residence
and the villages: Bălțați, Bircii, Chițeasca,
Constantinești, Jitaru, Mărgineni-Slobozia,
Mihăilești-Popești, Mogoșești, Negreni, Piscani,
Rusciori, Șuica and Teiuș.
It is located in the Northeastern part of the
county and it occupies an area of 158.96 km2.
