The Students participating in this project had the opportunity to meet fellow mates from other European (Mediterranean) countries and communicate with them via e-mail or via instant messaging. They developed friendly relations with each other and shared details about their daily lives, traditions, cultures, perceptions, ideas, lifestyle.Establishing a common point of view of the past, students explored how the Mediterranean Sea is still the bridge between different cultures and religions.
All students developed their English language vocabulary and skills. They also developed their intercultural skills, exchanged ideas, gifts and postcards and also made use of a variety of resources in order to upload powerpoint presentations, documents, files and images about their countries on twinspace.
Last but not least students familiarised themselves with working in a virtual environment, identified and discussed the challenges they face living and working in them. The most important thing is that they made new friends and they gained insights from online school collaborations which will be valuable and worth remembering a life time.

23. CELEBRATING Et-winning! Spring 2013 poster campaign!
Name of school: ……………….. ………………………… 12/05/2013
Being involved in an eTwinning project can be a rewarding experience for both teachers and
pupils.
Task 1: What are the benefits of eTwinning for pupils?
(Draw something, make a comment, write bulleted points, use your imagination!)
Task 2: What do you think of our VLARINA project this year?
NAME(S): ……………………………………………………………………………………………..
24. What the students did….
The students looked for pupils who had participated in the
e-twinning project this year, discussed with them about
their experiences and found out about the type and
quality of communication/interaction between cultures,
pupils and schools throughout the year. The winners’
activities were hang on the wall and were used in the
video production. Students ate lollipops and cakes as part
of the celebrations about eTwinning for schools in
Europe.
They also learnt a lot about eTwinning based on
distributed information sheets coming from the e-twinning
platform, had a look at the spring campaign poster we
created for ‘We are eT-winning’ campaign, commented on
it and said they are looking forward to new projects and
exciting/fun learning opportunities next year!

26. Students’ answers became a video!
The following video

also contains shots from our closed facebook group,
pictures that have been uploaded on twin space as well
as a small sample of pictures which were taken from
students’ group activities focusing on two tasks:
1. What are the benefits of e-twinning for students?
2. What did you think of our VLARINA project this year in
which 3 countries/schools were participating?
27. ETwinning is the community for schools in Europe.
ETwinning offers a platform for staff (teachers, head
teachers, librarians, etc.), working in a school in one of the
European countries involved, to communicate, collaborate,
develop projects, share and, in short, feel and be part of
the most exciting learning community in Europe.
The eTwinning action promotes school collaboration in
Europe through the use of Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) by providing support, tools and
services for schools.
