VLARINA - An eTwinning project 2012-13 (Greece-Serbia-Italy)
The Students participating in this project had the opportunity to meet fellow mates from other European (Mediterranean) countries and communicate with them via e-mail or via instant messaging. They developed friendly relations with each other and shared details about their daily lives, traditions, cultures, perceptions, ideas, lifestyle.Establishing a common point of view of the past, students explored how the Mediterranean Sea is still the bridge between different cultures and religions.
All students developed their English language vocabulary and skills. They also developed their intercultural skills, exchanged ideas, gifts and postcards and also made use of a variety of resources in order to upload powerpoint presentations, documents, files and images about their countries on twinspace.
Last but not least students familiarised themselves with working in a virtual environment, identified and discussed the challenges they face living and working in them. The most important thing is that they made new friends and they gained insights from online school collaborations which will be valuable and worth remembering a life time.
English Project Holidays and Festivals
This project aims to increase students' English skills while learning about holidays and festivals in their local area and around the world. Students will work individually or in groups to research and collect information about cultural traditions, history, costumes, music, and more related to national and international holidays. They will use digital tools to compile their findings. Students will then create a virtual magazine to showcase what they learned about their locality's holidays and share it with other schools. The goal is for students to both improve their English and appreciate the context in which they live.
Me and my world presentation

The dissemination of innovation at school may be supported by favouring the exchange of educational materials and reflections, leading teachers to learn from each other’s experiences. This was the main goal of Efelcren, a Comenius 2.1 project which aimed to boost the creation and collection of inventive and effective ICT-based educational materials for all school levels.
Special events in my country
1) This project involves teachers and students from several European countries sharing information about important events and traditions in their countries in order to showcase the similarities and differences between their cultures and prove their shared European identity.
2) The goals are to motivate students to learn English and improve their ICT skills while learning about other European countries and cultures.
3) Students will work in groups using various ICT tools like Movie Maker, Google Docs, YouTube, blogs and wikis to research events in their own countries and share their findings with partner schools.
