corrosion in rcc, prevention, control, effects, latest studies on corrosion, Although reinforced concrete structures are able to withstand towards a variety of adverse environmental conditions, reinforcement corrosion could lead to concrete structure deterioration. The present study examines four different ways of using corrosion inhibitors against pitting corrosion. In particular, it was investigated the chloride penetration resistance of reinforced cement mortars using corrosion inhibitor applied in three different, The corrosion behavior of the specimens was evaluated by electrochemical methods such as Linear Polarization Resistance and Half-cell Potential Resistance. In addition, the mass loss of steel rebars against time of partially immersion in sodium chloride (NaCl) solution was carried out in the lab. The experimental results showed that the corrosion systems examined in the study provide anticorrosion protection on steel rebars against chlorides comparing with the reference group.

CUTTING TOOL SELECTION
Cutting tools require materials with high hardness, strength, and wear resistance at elevated temperatures. Common tool materials include high-speed steels, cast cobalt alloys, tungsten carbide, and coated tools. Newer coated tools can last 10 times longer than uncoated tools due to coatings like titanium nitride which provide lower friction and higher resistance to cracks and wear, allowing higher cutting speeds.
Edge effect in high speed slurry erosion wear tests of steels and elastomers
While the slurry transportation via pumping is an increasingly viable alternative for the conventional fine
particle pumping, there are also many applications involving larger particles. However, the published studies
on slurry erosion have mainly been conducted with fine particle sizes. In this work, both fine and large
particle high speed slurry erosion of commercial wear resistant materials is studied.
The high speed slurry-pot wear tester was used with edge protected samples to simulate the wear conditions
in industrial slurry applications, such as tanks and pipelines. Two quenched wear resistant steels together
with natural rubber and polyurethane lining materials were tested, and the results were compared with the
results of the same materials tested without sample edge protection. The tests were performed using 15 m/s
speed, 45° and 90° sample angles, and 9 wt% and 33 wt% slurry concentrations with particle size ranging
from large 8/10 mm granite to fine 0.1/0.6 mm quartz.
With or without edge protection, the steel samples showed stable wear behavior, whereas the elastomers
gave notably inconsistent results in different test conditions. Steels exhibited better wear performance with
large particles and elastomers with fine particles. In general, the wear losses were 40 – 95 % lower without
edge wear, except for elastomers tested with fine quartz at the 45° sample angle, which yielded 25 – 75 %
higher weight losses when the sample edges were protected. With increasing abrasive size, the edge wear
becomes more dominant.

Abrasive Wear of Digger Tooth Steel
The influence of silicon carbide SiC abrasive particles of 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 size on carburized digger tooth steel was studied. Four types of steel, with different hardness, were tested at two constant linear sliding speeds and under various loads of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50N. Tests were carried out for sliding time of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5min. Experimental results showed that there was consistent reduction in abrasive wear as the hardness of the materials was increased. It was found that wear increased with the increase of applied load, linear sliding speed and sliding time. Also, it was noticed that the wear increased with increase in abrasive particle size, and the most effective size was 40 . SEM observations of the worm surface showed that the cutting and ploughing were the dominant abrasive wear mechanisms.

This document summarizes a study that investigated the effects of different quenching media (brine solution, water, diesel oil, and air) on the impact strength of single-vee butt welded mild steel joints. Samples of mild steel were welded using a coated electrode and then heat treated at temperatures from 2000°C to 6000°C before being quenched in the different media. Impact testing found that quenching in brine solution resulted in the lowest average impact strength, while quenching in air produced the highest average impact strength. Overall, the results indicated that air was the best quenching medium for welded mild steel, followed by diesel oil, water, and brine solution, when considering impactStudy of Tungsten Carbide Behavior in Hot Forging Application
Hot and warm forging processes subject the dies to severe cyclic thermal and mechanical fatigue subsequently resulting in die failure primarily through wear, plastic deformation and heat checking. This ongoing study aims to reduce these failures by application of tungsten carbide based hard material with cobalt binder (WC-Co) as a die material with steel, joined using shrink fitting process. In the present dissertation work, factors affecting the shrink fitting of carbide pellet and steel casing assembly die was analyzed through design of experiments (DOE) approach. The experimental results were compared with the finite element analysis. The controllable parameters of shrink fit process such as outer diameter of the pellet, inner diameter of the casing with interference, wall thickness of casing were identified and the experiments were designed as per full factorial method. With these details the shrink fitted die is simulated for hot forging conditions using die stress analysis.

Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) helps to overcome various difficulties in future technology wireless communications. NOMA, when utilized with millimeter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, channel estimation becomes extremely difficult. For reaping the benefits of the NOMA and mm-Wave combination, effective channel estimation is required. In this paper, we propose an enhanced particle swarm optimization based long short-term memory estimator network (PSOLSTMEstNet), which is a neural network model that can be employed to forecast the bandwidth required in the mm-Wave MIMO network. The prime advantage of the LSTM is that it has the capability of dynamically adapting to the functioning pattern of fluctuating channel state. The LSTM stage with adaptive coding and modulation enhances the BER.PSO algorithm is employed to optimize input weights of LSTM network. The modified algorithm splits the power by channel condition of every single user. Participants will be first sorted into distinct groups depending upon respective channel conditions, using a hybrid beamforming approach. The network characteristics are fine-estimated using PSO-LSTMEstNet after a rough approximation of channels parameters derived from the received data.

Properties of Fluids, Fluid Statics, Pressure Measurement
Properties of Fluids: Density, viscosity, surface tension, compressibility, and specific gravity define fluid behavior.
Fluid Statics: Studies pressure, hydrostatic pressure, buoyancy, and fluid forces on surfaces.
Pressure at a Point: In a static fluid, the pressure at any point is the same in all directions. This is known as Pascal's principle. The pressure increases with depth due to the weight of the fluid above.
Hydrostatic Pressure: The pressure exerted by a fluid at rest due to the force of gravity. It can be calculated using the formula P=ρghP=ρgh, where PP is the pressure, ρρ is the fluid density, gg is the acceleration due to gravity, and hh is the height of the fluid column above the point in question.
Buoyancy: The upward force exerted by a fluid on a submerged or partially submerged object. This force is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object, as described by Archimedes' principle. Buoyancy explains why objects float or sink in fluids.
Fluid Pressure on Surfaces: The analysis of pressure forces on surfaces submerged in fluids. This includes calculating the total force and the center of pressure, which is the point where the resultant pressure force acts.
Pressure Measurement: Manometers, barometers, pressure gauges, and differential pressure transducers measure fluid pressure.
