`` The Merchant Of Venice `` By William Shakespeare
Risk is a situation that involves the possibility of exposure to dangers. Risks exist everywhere, even
the most minute of actions can place someone in jeopardy. It is an inescapable labyrinth that plagues
the lives of all ever since humanity s first existence. Yet it,s double edged sword like characteristics of
also providing opportunities and gains keeps many enthralled in it. In William Shakespeare s The
Merchant of Venice, Antonio, a protagonist, gives himself over to a life threatening contract with the
villain, Shylock the Jew, in order to provide the means for one of Antonio s friend the opportunity to
woo a lady. Over the course of the play, various risky opportunities and events also expose other
relationships as means of satisfying their wants, although not all their outcomes are favourable. Risk is
the root cause of rewards and punishments in The Merchant of Venice. This is seen between the play s
rivals, such as Antonio and Shylock. Also is seen between lovers, such as Bassanio and Portia. It is
seen again between fathers and children, such as Shylock and Jessica.
The outcomes of the rivals plot, namely the struggles between Antonio and Shylock, were greatly
influenced by the partaking of risks. One of the risks taken by the main pair of rivals is Shylock
employing a malevolent bond purposed with ending the life of Antonio. Shylock demands that he will
have [his] bond; speak not against [his] bond:/ [he has] sworn an oath that [he] will have [his] bond.

Senate Reform Case Study
Challenges in reforming Canada s Senate and the Supreme Court
In terms of reforming Parliament s upper chamber, the task is faced with several challenges. The
Canadian constitution makes it difficult to make certain reforms to the Senate as the powers, selection
and qualifications of senators, and the length of their terms are all defined in the Constitution Act of
1867 (Pare, 2009, p. 1). Thus, a constitutional amendment is needed to make any significant reform to
the Senate. Also, according to section 44 of the Constitution Act of 1982, Parliament can amend the
Constitution without the provinces. (Barnes et al., 2011, p. 1). In fact, section 44 allows Parliament to
unilaterally amend the constitution in matters relating to the Senate, House ... Show more content on

The British North America Act of 1867 contained a subsection which described how the Parliament of
Canada would be created. In fact, section 17 states that there shall be One Parliament for Canada,
consisting of the Queen, an Upper House styled the Senate and the House of Commons (BNAAct,
1867, IV.17). In other words, Parliament s three institutions are required to pass laws and without the
Senate, bills cannot become law (Library of Parliament, 2002, p. 11). Thus, a constitutional
amendment is required to change how Parliament operates and how the legislative process works.
More importantly, as part of the legislative process and since Parliament itself must agree to abolish
the Senate along with the ten provinces, Senators will have to agree to abolish the institution in which
they work to represent their regions. Also, smaller provinces must be taken into account as these
provinces, such as the Maritimes, would not agree to abolish the Senate as they are overrepresented in
the chamber can maintain sufficient representation for their interests and concerns. Therefore,
abolishing the Senate is a task which requires negotiations with the provinces and is a process that is
not worth undertaking in terms of time and

Rhetorical Analysis Of Success Is Counted Sweetest
Rhetorical Analysis Abraham Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address and Emily Dickinson s Success is
Counted Sweet, are two inspirational pieces of art that fall under two different types of discourses. The
Second Inaugural Address, is a great example and definition of what Rhetoric is. It encompasses all
four resources of languages argument, appeal, arrangement, and artistic devices. Success is Counted
Sweet, doesn t cover the four resources of language that apply to rhetoric; therefore, it is categorized
as a poem. According to the chapter, rhetoric addresses unresolved issues that do not dictate a
particular outcome and in the process it engages our value commitments. (15). We see how Lincoln s
inaugural speech tries to engage ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He states how both, the North and South, read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and neither
the North nor South expected for the war the magnitude or the duration which it attained. Lincoln also
maintains an optimistic tone throughout the speech and invokes unity with his parallel structured
sentences. Emily Dickinson s Success is Counted Sweetest, doesn t cover all four resources of
language. It is a poem that does not call for action but does create an emotional appeal for the people.
Throughout her poem, she created an emotional appeal for success and its value and the desire and
want for success. We see how she creates such emotion when she states, The distant strains of triumph
break, agonizing and clear. What Dickinson means by this is that gaining success can be the most
beautiful accomplishment but at the same time, agonizing to reach. This creates an emotional appeal
for those who are living through the Civil War, making the people have a desire for peace, but they
have to go through bloodshed in the process of gaining success. Emily Dickinson carries out artistic
devices throughout her poem, which also creates an emotional appeal for the audience. She uses
metaphors to describe success by stating, Success is counted sweetest. Dickinson also uses her poem
to recreate what was occurring at the time of the war. She speaks of the purple Host which is the
representation of the Army and capturing the

Reaction Paper On Tramadol
Tramadol: The potent and most effective painkiller medicine
Tramadol, Ultram, Tramadol for sale at armodafinilstore.com, Pain Killer
Introduction
Tramadol is derived synthetically from codeine which is a phenanthrene alkaloid of opium. An
important fact to note is that it is not a narcotic. It is expensive but works extremely well in relieving
painful conditions. It was launched more than two decades back and it still continues to be a drug of
choice to relieve pain. It comes as capsules, tablets, suppositories and liquids for oral administration.
Ultram and Tramazac are the most commonly used brand names for this pain medication. Chemically,
it is cyclohexanol. Recently in 2013, studies were even made to use Tramadol in the distressing
condition of premature ejaculation.
Action Mechanism
Tramadol works at the mu receptors reversibly which is the same site that accepts opioid medicines.
These receptors are located in the higher centers of the brain as well as spinal cord. A part of its
analgesic action is also because it inhibits noradrenaline and serotonin uptake. Noradrenaline and
serotonin are classical neurotransmitters. The former is also a local hormone as it acts at the site of its
synthesis. It is rapidly absorbed in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Sin Of Ham Recorded Essay
The sin of Ham recorded in Genesis 9:20 24 has different views including voyeurism, castration, and
paternal incest. Scholars Bergsma and Hahn have come up with the maternal incest view from their
study of specific words related to the account. The first part of this paper will focus on Bergsma and
Hahn s word study to indicate that their maternal incest view is a viable option. The second part of the
paper will focus on the word bara (to create) in the Hebrew Bible. This word will be examined to
articulate the different usages and meanings of the word. Therefore, this paper will focus on the
importance of word study to show that words are of critical importance in understanding the meaning
of the Hebrew Bible in specific contexts.
Genesis 9:20 24 Ham s Sin There are different views concerning Ham s sin recorded in Genesis 9:20
24. The traditional views include voyeurism, castration, and paternal incest. Bergsma and Hahn have
introduced another view known as the maternal incest view. Bergsma and Hahn have made a
persuasive argument that states Ham s sin was not incest with his father, but that he had sexual
incestual relations with his mother. This conclusion has been made from the idiomatic meaning of the
phrase ‫Ś”ŚŚšâ€Ź ‫ŚȘŚ•ŚšŚąâ€Ź ‫Ś‘Śâ€Ź to see the father s nakedness (v. 22). The paternal incest view equates Leviticus
20:17, to uncover nakedness as a euphemism for sexual intercourse. The conclusion is then drawn that
Ham s sin of seeing his father s nakedness must mean he had

Rabbit Skin Robes and Blanket throughout Western North...
This article starts off by talking about the wide geographic distribution and considerable time depth of
rabbit skin robes and blankets throughout western North America. Many accounts of rabbit skin
blankets and robes suggest that they are very warm. Rabbit skin items are one of the items of material
culture that remained constant from the archaic period up into the historic period. Rabbit skin items
are mentioned in early literature of primary accounts but have been carried over into the secondary
literature. Howard Egan, a pioneer and explorer, observed Shoshone women making rabbit skin robes,
and later wrote in his diary, when hung around the neck the person so clothed can stand in a hard rain
or snow storm and not one drop of wet will pass through the robe. They are wind and rain proof and
almost cold proof (Egan 1917:238). Many accounts have been found about people making items out
of rabbit skin such as the Anasazi, Mogollon, and Hohokam. These accounts suggest that every
member of the group, regardless of sex or age, owned one to wear on cold days, to sleep in, and to be
interred in after death. These kinds of accounts came from the 1800s and early 1900s. There have been
many advances in technology have which have made it possible for us to manufacture materials that
can keep us alive in extreme environments such as the top of Mt. Everest to the depths of Antarctica.
So the question is compared to modern materials, how warm could rabbit skin robes actually have

thoughts not being his own or his mind being blank. He admits that he feels like a disconnected robot
and feels detached from his own body, stating that sometimes he cannot tell if he is alive or dead. He
experiences feelings of having no self and due to this, he is constantly afraid. This is impacting his
social life and his grades. These symptoms appear to begin after a month long period of depression
over a break up with his girlfriend. Jason has a history of panic attacks and feelings of detachment,
which occurred around the same time that his mother was hospitalized for her own psychiatric
problems. These same symptoms occurred surrounding his parents divorce and the leaving of his
father. His mother is diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
Phase 1 Stabilization. Following phase one of the case conceptualization model, we would need to

Why to Select Third Party Tools to Manage Server and...
Microsoft has equipped the organizations with the Windows server operating system and other server
tools like Exchange Server, SQL Server, SharePoint Server, etc. In addition, there are inbuilt server
tools like DNS Server, DHCP Server, File Server, and Active Directory to create a complete
networking infrastructure inside an organization. However, the server and networking management
using the traditional Microsoft tools become obsolete at a level. In this blog post, we ll discuss how
these tools fail to serve the purpose and why the need of using third party tools arises.
Scenarios
1. Managing Users in Large Organizations
Let us suppose a case of a large organization has fifty different departments, each of which contains
hundreds of employees segregated on different positions. A large IT helpdesk of at least 70 or more
members is at least required to meet the IT requirements in this case. Suppose the IT staff is required
to create the user accounts of 200 new users who ve to join in the different departments next week,
audit 300 users of five departments, and to keep a check on the file modifications on the file server to
trace the unauthorized accesses to the sensitive data. How much time will they take for these three
tasks? Almost three to four weeks, but the management wants them to complete this task in four days
without a hit to the daily demands of troubleshooting the computers, managing the networks, seeing
the logon/logoff, and other work. Is it possible? The

Satire And Irony Analysis
Satire and irony are two writing techniques that authors sometimes use to amuse and/or make their
audience think harder. Although there is a difference between the two techniques, it is slim and
frequently hard to differentiate. Satire is often used to effect irony; these two terms have a compatible
relationship in that way. Personally I am more inclined to respond better to satire because I was
brought up in a family who rarely said things straightforward; satire, specifically with the
incorporation of sarcasm, is a form of family entertainment. Of course a healthy dose of irony is also
appreciated for its humor due to its ability to put the final touches on a point well made. Overall, I
enjoy reading satirical and irony filled pieces, as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satirical writing pieces should serve a purpose other than just to make people laugh. In the Swift
piece, the author had a point other than making inappropriate jokes about baby cannibalism: he
wanted to bring attention to what was going on in Ireland. I don t even know why satirical pieces are
written if not to expose something that the author wants to bring attention to. Satire and irony are
writing techniques, they are meant to make the reader think harder and bring attention to the topic at
hand in a comical way almost like reverse psychology. It is supposed to be used to show the absurdity
of any other point of view than

Oil Spills In The Gulf Of Mexico
How have oil spills affected the world? Has there been efforts to make sure the number of oil spills are
minimized? Oil Spills have been harming the environment for a very long time. The largest oil spill to
ever occur took place in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20th, 2010. Twenty million gallons of oil spilled
into the Gulf of Mexico. The second biggest oil spill took place in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico
1979. The third biggest oil spill took place in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. Scientists have been
trying to figure out how to minimize the number of oil spills.
The biggest oil spill in history started on April 20th, 2010 by an oil ring called the Deepwater Horizon
in the Gulf of Mexico. The oil ring was owned by an offshore oil drilling company called Transocean
and they were leasing the oil ring to British Petroleum. The oil well was located on a seabed 4,993 feet
below the surface of the ocean. On April 20th, a surge of natural gas penetrated through the concrete
core and went up the Deepwater rig s riser which led to the drilling platform catching fire, and
exploding. This caused eleven people to die and injured another seventeen people. During this oil spill
more than 200 million gallons of oil was pumped over a period of 87 days into the Gulf of Mexico
until the well was capped in July, 2010. A study in the blowout preventer showed that huge blades

The idea for Snapchat, formerly known as Picaboo, was developed as a product development project

Summer Reading Essay I remember only this: I plunged down into this ocean, down to rocky rocky

most of it remains a blur. Her mother and her aunts took her to the hospital nearby and the doctors
figured out that she is suffering through hypothermia, respiratory problems, amnesia, and traumatic
brain injury. Sadly, since Cadence had all of those problems with her health she underwent
vomiting, horror, migraines, blackouts, weight loss, terrible doctor visits and much more, but that wasn t
even the worst part. All Cadence wanted to know was what happened. She wanted her mom to tell her
memories of the summers before. Her mother tried, but it didn t work that well so she gave up. Also
the doctors said that it would be better if she could recall on the memories by herself so that just gave
her mom another reason to stop trying. You began asking me the day you woke up in the hospital.
What happened? What happened? I told you the truth Cadence, I always did, and you d repeat it back
to me. But the next day you would ask again. That quote shows that even if her mother tried as hard as
she could Cadence just couldn t remember. Her mother wouldn t allow her go to Beechwood Island
(the private island) until summer 17. Anyways, Cadence finally got to go back to Beechwood to see
the Liars and her family. While she was there it was different; the aunts told the cousins to be nice to
her and no one could act normal around her.

Jack Zipes Fairy Tales And The Art Of Subversion
The tradition of storytelling is as old as civilization itself. Man has always been fond of adventures
and legends. Tales from epics have been sung by bards in all parts of the world. The Iliad, as a story,
has existed long before Homer put it to paper. Owing to our intellectual prowess, humans have been
capable of deciphering countless number of phenomenon. However, that which we could not account
for, we feared or worshiped, labeling it as other worldly. When man assigned the unintelligible as
supernatural, he was absolutely smitten. He created fantasy a world full of fairies, gnomes, sprites,
monsters and ghosts all inducing emotions of either wonder, delight, or horror. Jack Zipes in his work

The Allegory Of Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler
Sophie Carr Western Civ November 22, 2015 The Allegory of Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler The decline
of the Weimar Republic marked a time of great concern over how post war Germany would shed its
authoritarian past and reinvent itself. Feasibly, no other film from this era could so adeptly capture the
history of immediate postwar Germany than Fritz Lang s Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler. Fritz Lang s
melodramatic tale of an elusive and depraved gambler, or player as it s literally translated, is actually
an allegory for a corrupt and economically unstable Germany that would soon give rise to fascism.
Though Lang, a fervent anti fascist, would find great success in cinematically portraying despotism in
his cult classic Metropolis (1927), Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler was the film that was the more directly
connected to a recovering Germany. Dr. Mabuse is an allegory for the political and economic strife
that took hold Weimar Germany. The film is of a man who plays a slick gambler, an esteemed
physician, and a magician. He s a player in most, if not all, senses of the word. Dr. Mabuse s character
is also described as being literally hypnotic, He [Lang] shows individuals being transformed into a
state of total submission as well as a whole audience succumbing to an exercise in mass suggestion. 1
Only the state prosecutor, Norbert von Wenk, is capable of resisting Mabuse s powers, but Mabuse s
striking supernatural powers and his loyal gang of felons thwart his investigation.

Wither The Australian Film Industry?
After I moved to Australia at the hindsight of this year, I happened to make an argument to myself in

Martin Luther, And His Concept Of Christianity
This is an essay about Martin Luther, and his concept of Christianity. As a student and a unbiased
Christian, I enjoy studying all types of religions, and elements that encompass them. Luther began his
religious career as an Augustinian Monk in the Roman Catholic Church. So, Luther was initially loyal
to the papacy, and even after many theological conflicts, he attempted to bring about his understanding
with the Church. But this was a contradiction not to suffer because in his later years, Luther waged a
continual battle with the papacy. Luther was to become a professor of biblical exegesis at Wittenberg
where, in 1957, he posted his critique of the Roman Catholic Church s teachings and practices. This is
otherwise known as The Ninety Five Theses, which is usually considered to be the original document
of the Reformation. The Reformation was very controversial then, and, from a historical viewpoint, it
still is today. Luther played a large part in the movement, and I was interested I doing a research to
uncover what was the issue with religion. Basically, this document was an indictment of the venality
of the Roman Catholic Church, particularly the widespread practice of selling indulgences in
association with the sacrament of penance. Luther s beliefs on the matter were that after confession,
absolution relied upon the sinner s faith and God s Divine Grace rather than the intervention of a
priest. Martin Luther was a man that made a huge impact not only on those in

Evaluating The Developmental Assets Model That Has Been...
Summary This research article was an analysis run by Pashak, Handal, and Scales (2016) to evaluate
the developmental assets model that has been effectively used on children to create a new survey to
test on emerging adults. The researchers named their creation the Young Adult Developmental Assets
Survey (YADAS). The Search Institute had already developed the 40 assets that were evaluated within
YADAS, and as a nonprofit for advancement of health the institute has conducted research over the
last 50 years on young people and their success or failure. Their model is one of the most widely cited
youth development approaches. It is divided into categories of external assets or internal assets, both
which aid in the formation of young people. Their model is known as the PSL AB. Other researchers
have studied what makes emerging adults (18 29) thrive in emerging adulthood, and those findings
were also included in the introduction. For this study, researchers aimed to test the efficacy of the PSL
AB, and also to test if the program could act a support and intervention tool for universities to promote
young adults mental and physical health. This was a correlational study because the researchers drew
conclusions for effectiveness based on associations between traits. The researchers hypothesize that if
the developmental assets measure proves valid and reliable, that they can be used for a more
comprehensive evaluation of young adult well being. The participants in the study were

against the apartheid. In the movie, Mandela (Morgan Freeman) had just left prison and become the
president, with the intention of unite the people and make them live without racism and prejudice.
Mandela uses the national rugby team to help him achieve his goal. All the players and all the

He did a very good job with the team that now had a black player representing all the black people.
The team was not only playing better, but also was gaining support from everyone.
The players had to go to a poor neighborhood to shoot a marketing commercial for the World Cup
playing with some kids. That was perfect for the president goals because it would prove that black
people did not hate the team anymore, show the country they could be united and support the
Springboks together. The players, except the captain, did not want to go (about 56min), because they
thought it would be a waste of time and they should be practicing, not playing with poor kids.
François told them they had to go because they were more than a team now, they were the hope for a
mixed and united country. South Africa had changed, so they had to change too. The players went to
the poor neighborhood and played with the kids. It was a transforming experience for them and for all
the country. Now people were realizing how black and white people must be in the same places and
live the same life. Everyone has to be represented and only now black people knew how that was like.
Springboks won the World Cup while people from both races watched them playing in the stadium.
Everyone was supporting the same team together, as a nation should be and everyone was very happy.

How To Write A Visual Analysis Of Kid s Crest Toothpaste
There are great advertisements that influence many magazine readers around the world. In the
November 2011 published magazine of Yum for Kids , Crest placed an advertisement for their
product, Kid s Crest (Toothpaste), which was created to appeal to kids and parents. That ad s
effectiveness relies on irony, simplicity, and specific language choice to appeal to the kids and parents
as well as build the brand s credibility and the consumer s trust in the product. The magazine, Yum for
Kids, appeals to wide variety of audiences, with articles and contents mostly pertaining to
kindergartens, elementary students, and parents. With delicious, healthy, fun food and new recipes, it
is clear that this magazine is mostly read by parents and kids, who are interested in family dinners,
food shopping lists, and cooker recipes. There are many other advertisements in this magazine, quite a

This juxtaposition helps to capture the attention of the consumer. In fact, the images encapsulate the

Aristotelian Influence Durrenmatt
However, the most important Aristotelian influence Durrenmatt is arguably the chorus. The chorus is
the melody and song element of Aristotelian tragedies. A chorus is a group of people who are
homogenized and are non individualized that comment and react as one to the action of the play in
order to help the audience follow the play. The chorus also typically comments on the moral issue in
the play, for example in The Visit comments on the moral issue of if justice can be bought as well as
provide insight into the play. Typically in Greek tragedies there would only be a few actors who would
play several parts and the chorus would consist of a large number of people. In The Visit the chorus

Europe. Man Four: Goethe spent a night here. In the Golden Apostle. Man Three: Brahms composed a

always a poor town and never meant anything to the world. However with this insight allows the
reader to truly understand why the town needed and wanted the money so badly that they were willing
to kill the town s one most beloved man, Ill. In Act II and III however, is when the chorus begins to
play the role of embodying themes. In Act II, the chorus is showing how the townspeople have slowly
been bought and are turning against Ill. This is particularly evident when the townspeople are buying
lavish items from Ill s store. The two women: charge it , (Durrenmatt 40). With the townspeople
buying the more expensive items, Ill is realizing that they are all just waiting for somebody to kill him.
This is even more prevalent at the end of the act when the townspeople surround Ill at the train station
reassuring Ill that nobody is trying to kill him, yet they all followed him

Denial-Of-Service Attacks
Figure 4: How Several Requests Sent to a Access Point Can Disrupt Network Service
A cyber criminal can create a denial of service attack by sending spam emails to a network. The spam
emails can be sent to an email account supplied by an employer or a free email account offered by
Hotmail and Yahoo. With each email account, the user is assigned a specific quota that specifies the
amount of space the account can have at a given time. If the cyber criminal sends large amounts of
spam messages to a user s email account then the quota will be exceeded and prevent the user from
receiving legitimate messages. When a denial of service attack is launched, the cyber criminal can also

The café latte attack relies on a user s laptop being connected to a Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)
protected network and tricks the user into sending thousands of WEP encrypted ARP (Address
Resolution Protocol) requests. An ARP is a network protocol that maps together a network layer
address and a data link layer hardware address. For example, an ARP is used to resolve IP addresses to
their corresponding Ethernet address (Leyden, 2007). For a café latte attack to be successful, the cyber
criminal does not have to be in the same area as the user but can also be in a remote location to
intercept the WEP key. A cyber criminal can take advantage of the message modification flaws in the
802.1WEP architecture and the shared key authentication by flooding a network with encrypted
Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) requests. A café latte attack functions by using a bit flipping
technique that modifies the Media Access Control (MAC) address and Internet Protocol address (IP
address) of a user s computer which is collected when gratuitous ARP requests are sent from the cyber
criminal. When the user responds to the gratuitous ARP requests, the cyber criminal can quickly crack
the WEP key from the user s traffic. With a café latte attack, a cyber criminal can obtain the WEP key

Reflection Paper On Fitness
Welcome to Fitness In my life so far, there have been very few instances where I honestly thought
about giving up. I like to believe I am a very strong willed and sometimes stubborn person. I also
believe everyone has moments where they reach their limit and must decide whether or not to raise the
bar. My first day of track practice was one of those moments. I don t believe I fully understood what I
was getting myself into that day. I walked through the gym door nervous and filled with a mixture of
anxiety and excitement. The first thing I noticed was how many people there were. The entire gym
had people circling the perimeter. I mean it was insane. It felt like everyone I had ever known to be in
sports was there. People I had never even said a word to had managed find to their way to the gym. I
was out of my league and out of my mind. I couldn t do this. I m going to make a fool of myself.
Everyone here is conditioned for this and they ve done this before. They know what is going to
happen. I was standing there, looking around like an idiot. The first person I recognize and actually
talk to is Franky. I attempt to casually sneak my way over to him. I feel like a fish out of water. I
decide that if I ever get confused as to what to do I must have a plan. Ask Franky. That was the best I
could come up with. The warm ups and stretching weren t so bad. I was left out of breath from the
quicker ones, but I felt I would recover in time for the real workout. When coach shouted

The Contributions Of Women In The American Civil War .
The Contributions of Women in the American Civil War
The Civil War was a divisive time in American history that tore the country in half for five long years
(1861 1865). After the election of Abraham Lincoln, the southern states seceded from the north and
formed the Confederate States of America because they saw their way of life being threatened. They
wanted to fight for their right to have slaves and for states to have more power. The North (Union)
fought because secession wasn t an option and they needed to preserve the country as a union. Lincoln
called on the men in the North to fight this war, but there was also an estimated 400 to 750 women

Computer Security And Social Engineering
Computer Security and Social Engineering In terms of computer security, Social Engineering refers to
the psychological manipulation of people in order to access confidential information. It is believed
that it can be easier to trick people than to hack into their computing system by force. Social engineers
gather personal information or gain access to computers by exploiting people s natural tendency to
want to trust others and be helpful. Some methods that are used by social engineers to gain
information are via email, the internet or even by phone to trick people into revealing sensitive
information or get them to do something that goes against the company s policy. Social engineering
has been an effective method of committing fraud for centuries. Recently, however, it has been used
more and more to assist criminals in perpetrating crimes that can net large sums of money. Without
one social engineering method or another, most current attacks would not be successful [11] .
Employees are an organization s weakest link and social engineering attacks are only limited by the
creativity of the perpetrator, which relies on the gullibility of people. In this paper we discuss some of
the most common types of social engineering attacks that are widely used. We will also cover how to
defend ourselves from these attacks and why these attacks work in today s society. By following the
money trail, we ll also shed light on how lucrative this business can be as well as why people

How Is Celie Presented In The Color Purple
In the novel, The Color Purple, a character by the name of Celie is described as being oppressed. She

men that see or talk to her. However, Celie is strong willed and that strength is channeled through how
she deals with how she was treated while being backed by the people who respect her and unified
through the love her and her sister share. Celie s strength is signified from how the men treated her
because every time they attacked her, verbally or physically, she took it and never gave it back. The
first example you see is in the very beginning as it shows her father taking her baby and finding out

Murder, Manslaughter, And Justifiable Homicide
In the United States the degrees by which a person can be charged with killing another person vary;
the degrees of murder include first, second, and third degree murder, the definitions of which can vary
in legal terms from state to state. These charges are considered to be legally separate from voluntary
manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and justifiable homicide which each have their own
definitions (Cole, Smith, DeJong, 2014). Each type of murder, manslaughter and homicide is
determined by intent and negligible behavior and each will be examined in this paper (Cole et al.,
2014).
Murder
First Degree Murder
Murder has not always been defined by degrees by which the act took place, before the separation
began, murder of any type was a capital offense punishable by death. The state of Pennsylvania in
1793 was the first state to legally distinguish different degrees of murder, possibly to reduce the
amount of murders that resulted in capital punishment (Levinson, 2002). In most states today, first
degree murder is commonly defined as the unlawful, willing, and premeditated murder of another
human being committed with malice aforethought, which is used to indicate a person intended to kill
another person (Berman, n.d.). All states approach murder charges with variations on the same basic
principle, intent.
Second Degree Murder
Like all degrees of murder, second degree murder varies from state to state however in general terms it
is referred to as the unlawful killing

Principally, the theory of restrictive sovereign immunity is basically when the Department of States

specifically two areas that either allows this unit to acclaim immunity and or reject immunity

undertakings in being profit oriented, then rejecting immunity is the option (Murphy, 305).

Hemp Plant Benefits
Imagine a miracle plant with the ability to cure cancer, feed communities, power cars, and build
homes. Now imagine that plant being illegal. This is the case with the hemp plant. A subtype of
Cannabis Sativa, hemp was at one point the major cash crop of America where it was used in sails,
rope, clothing, paper and other items. (Schneider). Despite the fact that hemp contains very minute
traces of THC, the chemical found in marijuana that induces psychoactive effects, it is oftentimes
confused with marijuana, another subtype of Cannabis Sativa. Some hemp supporters chalk up the ban
on hemp to the fact that many policymakers believe that by legalizing hemp they are legalizing
marijuana, which is not true. (Yonovka). The federal ban on hemp should be removed because it is an
incredible food source, can be used to replace non renewable resources, and has unparalleled medical
uses. Rich in healthy fats, protein, and minerals , hemp seeds are an inarguable super food (Mercola).

The International Commercial Arbitration Process
The International Commercial Arbitration process is a means whereby disputes related to businesses
involving transnational parties are resolved by using arbitrators instead of taking the matter through a
judicial system in the courts. The arbitration process requires that there is an agreement between the
parties involvd. This agreement is brought forward by an agreement clause that is usually found in the
business contract agreement and decision made is binding (Moses M 2012). According to
UNCITRAL, arbitration is an internationally recognized process. A commercial arbitration is one that
deals with matters arising as a result of relationships caused by commercial nature regardless of
whether it is contractual or not.
This arbitration process is preferred by many due to various reasons; the litigation in a court that is

relationships between the parties, the arbitration awards by the tribunal are recognized internationally

  • 4. Senate Reform Case Study Challenges in reforming Canada s Senate and the Supreme Court In terms of reforming Parliament s upper chamber, the task is faced with several challenges. The Canadian constitution makes it difficult to make certain reforms to the Senate as the powers, selection and qualifications of senators, and the length of their terms are all defined in the Constitution Act of 1867 (Pare, 2009, p. 1). Thus, a constitutional amendment is needed to make any significant reform to the Senate. Also, according to section 44 of the Constitution Act of 1982, Parliament can amend the Constitution without the provinces. (Barnes et al., 2011, p. 1). In fact, section 44 allows Parliament to unilaterally amend the constitution in matters relating to the Senate, House ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The British North America Act of 1867 contained a subsection which described how the Parliament of Canada would be created. In fact, section 17 states that there shall be One Parliament for Canada, consisting of the Queen, an Upper House styled the Senate and the House of Commons (BNAAct, 1867, IV.17). In other words, Parliament s three institutions are required to pass laws and without the Senate, bills cannot become law (Library of Parliament, 2002, p. 11). Thus, a constitutional amendment is required to change how Parliament operates and how the legislative process works. More importantly, as part of the legislative process and since Parliament itself must agree to abolish the Senate along with the ten provinces, Senators will have to agree to abolish the institution in which they work to represent their regions. Also, smaller provinces must be taken into account as these provinces, such as the Maritimes, would not agree to abolish the Senate as they are overrepresented in the chamber can maintain sufficient representation for their interests and concerns. Therefore, abolishing the Senate is a task which requires negotiations with the provinces and is a process that is not worth undertaking in terms of time and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Rhetorical Analysis Of Success Is Counted Sweetest Rhetorical Analysis Abraham Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address and Emily Dickinson s Success is Counted Sweet, are two inspirational pieces of art that fall under two different types of discourses. The Second Inaugural Address, is a great example and definition of what Rhetoric is. It encompasses all four resources of languages argument, appeal, arrangement, and artistic devices. Success is Counted Sweet, doesn t cover the four resources of language that apply to rhetoric; therefore, it is categorized as a poem. According to the chapter, rhetoric addresses unresolved issues that do not dictate a particular outcome and in the process it engages our value commitments. (15). We see how Lincoln s inaugural speech tries to engage ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He states how both, the North and South, read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and neither the North nor South expected for the war the magnitude or the duration which it attained. Lincoln also maintains an optimistic tone throughout the speech and invokes unity with his parallel structured sentences. Emily Dickinson s Success is Counted Sweetest, doesn t cover all four resources of language. It is a poem that does not call for action but does create an emotional appeal for the people. Throughout her poem, she created an emotional appeal for success and its value and the desire and want for success. We see how she creates such emotion when she states, The distant strains of triumph break, agonizing and clear. What Dickinson means by this is that gaining success can be the most beautiful accomplishment but at the same time, agonizing to reach. This creates an emotional appeal for those who are living through the Civil War, making the people have a desire for peace, but they have to go through bloodshed in the process of gaining success. Emily Dickinson carries out artistic devices throughout her poem, which also creates an emotional appeal for the audience. She uses metaphors to describe success by stating, Success is counted sweetest. Dickinson also uses her poem to recreate what was occurring at the time of the war. She speaks of the purple Host which is the representation of the Army and capturing the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An important fact to note is that it is not a narcotic. It is expensive but works extremely well in relieving painful conditions. It was launched more than two decades back and it still continues to be a drug of choice to relieve pain. It comes as capsules, tablets, suppositories and liquids for oral administration. • 7. The Sin Of Ham Recorded Essay The sin of Ham recorded in Genesis 9:20 24 has different views including voyeurism, castration, and paternal incest. Scholars Bergsma and Hahn have come up with the maternal incest view from their study of specific words related to the account. The first part of this paper will focus on Bergsma and Hahn s word study to indicate that their maternal incest view is a viable option. The second part of the paper will focus on the word bara (to create) in the Hebrew Bible. This word will be examined to articulate the different usages and meanings of the word. Therefore, this paper will focus on the importance of word study to show that words are of critical importance in understanding the meaning of the Hebrew Bible in specific contexts. Genesis 9:20 24 Ham s Sin There are different views concerning Ham s sin recorded in Genesis 9:20 24. The traditional views include voyeurism, castration, and paternal incest. Bergsma and Hahn have introduced another view known as the maternal incest view. Bergsma and Hahn have made a persuasive argument that states Ham s sin was not incest with his father, but that he had sexual incestual relations with his mother. This conclusion has been made from the idiomatic meaning of the phrase ‫Ś”ŚŚšâ€Ź ‫ŚȘŚ•ŚšŚąâ€Ź ‫Ś‘Śâ€Ź to see the father s nakedness (v. 22). The paternal incest view equates Leviticus 20:17, to uncover nakedness as a euphemism for sexual intercourse. • 8. Rabbit Skin Robes and Blanket throughout Western North... This article starts off by talking about the wide geographic distribution and considerable time depth of rabbit skin robes and blankets throughout western North America. Many accounts of rabbit skin blankets and robes suggest that they are very warm. Rabbit skin items are one of the items of material culture that remained constant from the archaic period up into the historic period. Rabbit skin items are mentioned in early literature of primary accounts but have been carried over into the secondary literature. Howard Egan, a pioneer and explorer, observed Shoshone women making rabbit skin robes, and later wrote in his diary, when hung around the neck the person so clothed can stand in a hard rain or snow storm and not one drop of wet will pass through the robe. They are wind and rain proof and almost cold proof (Egan 1917:238). Many accounts have been found about people making items out of rabbit skin such as the Anasazi, Mogollon, and Hohokam. These accounts suggest that every member of the group, regardless of sex or age, owned one to wear on cold days, to sleep in, and to be interred in after death. These kinds of accounts came from the 1800s and early 1900s. There have been many advances in technology have which have made it possible for us to manufacture materials that can keep us alive in extreme environments such as the top of Mt. Everest to the depths of Antarctica. So the question is compared to modern materials, how warm could rabbit skin robes actually have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Microsoft has equipped the organizations with the Windows server operating system and other server tools like Exchange Server, SQL Server, SharePoint Server, etc. In addition, there are inbuilt server tools like DNS Server, DHCP Server, File Server, and Active Directory to create a complete networking infrastructure inside an organization. However, the server and networking management using the traditional Microsoft tools become obsolete at a level. In this blog post, we ll discuss how these tools fail to serve the purpose and why the need of using third party tools arises. Scenarios 1. Managing Users in Large Organizations Let us suppose a case of a large organization has fifty different departments, each of which contains hundreds of employees segregated on different positions. A large IT helpdesk of at least 70 or more members is at least required to meet the IT requirements in this case. Suppose the IT staff is required to create the user accounts of 200 new users who ve to join in the different departments next week, audit 300 users of five departments, and to keep a check on the file modifications on the file server to trace the unauthorized accesses to the sensitive data. How much time will they take for these three tasks? Although there is a difference between the two techniques, it is slim and frequently hard to differentiate. Personally I am more inclined to respond better to satire because I was brought up in a family who rarely said things straightforward; satire, specifically with the incorporation of sarcasm, is a form of family entertainment. The Allegory Of Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler Sophie Carr Western Civ November 22, 2015 The Allegory of Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler The decline of the Weimar Republic marked a time of great concern over how post war Germany would shed its authoritarian past and reinvent itself. Feasibly, no other film from this era could so adeptly capture the history of immediate postwar Germany than Fritz Lang s Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler. Fritz Lang s melodramatic tale of an elusive and depraved gambler, or player as it s literally translated, is actually an allegory for a corrupt and economically unstable Germany that would soon give rise to fascism. Though Lang, a fervent anti fascist, would find great success in cinematically portraying despotism in his cult classic Metropolis (1927), Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler was the film that was the more directly connected to a recovering Germany. Dr. Mabuse is an allegory for the political and economic strife that took hold Weimar Germany. The film is of a man who plays a slick gambler, an esteemed physician, and a magician. He s a player in most, if not all, senses of the word. Dr. Mabuse s character is also described as being literally hypnotic, He [Lang] shows individuals being transformed into a state of total submission as well as a whole audience succumbing to an exercise in mass suggestion. 1 Only the state prosecutor, Norbert von Wenk, is capable of resisting Mabuse s powers, but Mabuse s striking supernatural powers and his loyal gang of felons thwart his investigation. ... My first day of track practice was one of those moments. I don t believe I fully understood what I was getting myself into that day. Computer Security And Social Engineering Computer Security and Social Engineering In terms of computer security, Social Engineering refers to the psychological manipulation of people in order to access confidential information. It is believed that it can be easier to trick people than to hack into their computing system by force. Social engineers gather personal information or gain access to computers by exploiting people s natural tendency to want to trust others and be helpful. Some methods that are used by social engineers to gain information are via email, the internet or even by phone to trick people into revealing sensitive information or get them to do something that goes against the company s policy. Social engineering has been an effective method of committing fraud for centuries. Recently, however, it has been used more and more to assist criminals in perpetrating crimes that can net large sums of money. Without one social engineering method or another, most current attacks would not be successful [11] . Employees are an organization s weakest link and social engineering attacks are only limited by the creativity of the perpetrator, which relies on the gullibility of people. Murder, Manslaughter, And Justifiable Homicide In the United States the degrees by which a person can be charged with killing another person vary; the degrees of murder include first, second, and third degree murder, the definitions of which can vary in legal terms from state to state. These charges are considered to be legally separate from voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and justifiable homicide which each have their own definitions (Cole, Smith, DeJong, 2014). Each type of murder, manslaughter and homicide is determined by intent and negligible behavior and each will be examined in this paper (Cole et al., 2014). Murder First Degree Murder Murder has not always been defined by degrees by which the act took place, before the separation began, murder of any type was a capital offense punishable by death. The state of Pennsylvania in 1793 was the first state to legally distinguish different degrees of murder, possibly to reduce the amount of murders that resulted in capital punishment (Levinson, 2002). In most states today, first degree murder is commonly defined as the unlawful, willing, and premeditated murder of another human being committed with malice aforethought, which is used to indicate a person intended to kill another person (Berman, n.d.). All states approach murder charges with variations on the same basic principle, intent. Despite the fact that hemp contains very minute traces of THC, the chemical found in marijuana that induces psychoactive effects, it is oftentimes confused with marijuana, another subtype of Cannabis Sativa.
