Analytical Analysis Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of an "Analytical Analysis Essay" can be a challenging task that
requires a thoughtful approach and a solid understanding of analytical techniques. The difficulty
arises from the need to not only analyze a particular subject but also to do so in a structured and
coherent manner.
Firstly, the writer must possess strong analytical skills to dissect the topic and break it down into
its essential components. This involves critically examining the subject, identifying key elements,
and understanding their interconnections. This step requires a keen eye for detail and the ability
to discern the significance of each aspect.
Additionally, crafting a compelling analytical analysis essay involves formulating a clear thesis
statement that captures the main argument or perspective. This requires a deep understanding of
the subject matter and the ability to articulate a coherent and persuasive argument. Ensuring that
the essay has a logical flow and is well-organized is crucial, as it contributes to the overall
effectiveness of the analysis.
Moreover, the writer must support their analysis with relevant evidence and examples, drawing
on a variety of sources to strengthen their arguments. The process of researching and selecting
appropriate evidence can be time-consuming and demands a thorough understanding of the topic.
Finally, polishing the essay for clarity, coherence, and conciseness adds another layer of
complexity. Striking the right balance between providing enough detail to support the analysis
and avoiding unnecessary verbosity is essential. Proper citation and adherence to any specific
formatting guidelines further contribute to the overall challenge.
In conclusion, writing an analytical analysis essay requires a combination of analytical skills,
research abilities, and effective writing techniques. It demands careful planning, thoughtful
organization, and a dedication to presenting a well-supported argument. Despite its difficulties,
mastering the art of crafting analytical essays can be a rewarding skill. For those seeking

Personal Narrative-Mound
I moved to Mound, Minnesota in the beginning of sixth grade all the way from
Fresno, California. When I was about 9 my dad passed away from pancreatic
cancer, and my mom turned to bad habits. I have three sisters, one of which is
raising my other sister and me with her husband. Other than that I am a football
cheerleader and a basketball player, I mainly play sports outside of school and do
activities like the fall musical and spring play. I had mainly good grades up until I
was in about fourth grade. I don t know what it was or what happened, I guess I just
stopped caring. I probably care about Global Studies the most as a class subject. It
has always caught my interest. My least favorite subject is English. I certainly want

Comparing Social Norms in My Last Duchess by Robert...
When one travels, it is easy to observe differences in social norms from country to
country. One may also observe differences within a country, for example, the social
norms of a small town or village versus those of a large metropolis. Differences in
social norms can also be observed in literature. This essay will focus on two dramatic
monologues, which were written by poets who lived in England during the same
period. Robert Browningpublished My last Duchessin 1842, the same year that Alfred
Tennyson published Ulysses. Both poets lived in England during the Victorian era.
However, by examining characters from their poetry, namely Alfonso in My Last
Duchess and Odysseus in Ulysses, we can see that they express opposite norms
concerning... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In contrast, Tennyson s Odysseus doesn t cling to the power, even though he has
his own kingdom, which allows him to control his people. Instead, he chooses to
leave the sceptre and the isle to his son, Telemachus (Line 34) (Tennyson 645). Then
he says, When I am gone. [Telemachus] works his works (Line 43) (Tennyson 645).
For this, he has no hesitation to lose his power over people.
[He] cannot rest from travel: [He] will drink Life to the less: all times [he has]
enjoyed Greatly, [has] a suffered greatly (Line 6 8) (Tennyson 645). Odysseus
feels comfort from going around in his past, but now he can t feel it from
unchanged things like staying only in his island to do almost same thing every
day. As he says that how dull it is to pauses, resting from his journey is not a great
moment for him (Line 22) (Tennyson 645). As we can expect, he should live in
luxury more than the other people in his country because he is a kind. But, he
expresses that as to rust unburnished, not to shine in use (Line 23) (Tennyson 645).
Life that he is away from finding new things doesn t mean anything for him. What s
more, he mentions that gleams that untravelled world (Line 20) (Tennyson 645).
Odysseus considers the something new shines on his life and to meet a change isn t
fear. However, Alfonso is opposite from Odysseus. He is afraid of something
changes. That s why he kills his wife, and puts his last wife
On Civil Disobedience By Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the
oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say you are
neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality Bishop Desmond Tutus.
Sometimes being neutral in a situation is good. When two of your best friends are
fighting with each other, do you pick a side? Would you choose one friend over
the other? If so, how would that affect you and the friend you didn t choose
relationship? The reason why it is not important for people to take a stand on issues
of justice in society is because a nation tends to fall because of civil disobedience,
pain, suffering, and sometimes death may occur, and there is a chance of failing and

So by doing so, it allows leaders and governments to better understand how the
people feel about certain laws or rules. In Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi s speech
On Civil Disobedience he says, No clapping is possible without two hands to do it,
and no quarrel without two persons to make it. Similarly, no State is possible
without two entities, the rulers and the ruled. Your are our sovereign, or
Government, only so long as we consider ourselves your subjects. When we are not
subjects, you are not the sovereign either. So long as it is your endeavour to control
us with justice and love, we will let you tod so. But if you wish to strike at us from
behind, we cannot permit it. In other words, in order to have order, there needs to
be a strong connection between the subjects and sovereigns . By not doing so, it
could lead to civil disobedience, violence, or even death. Nevertheless, in Chief
Joseph s speech On Surrender At Bear Paw Mountain, 1877 he says, Tell General
Howard that I know his heart. What he told me before I have in my heart. I am
tired of fighting. Our chiefs are killed. Looking Glass is dead, Tu hul hil sote is
dead. The old men are all dead...Hear me, my chiefs, my heart is sick and sad. From
where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever. Further explained, although
Chief Joseph fought for his land, liberty, and people, he failed. In result of this,
many suffered and were killed. Because of this failure, Chief Joseph regrets fighting
and decides to quit. Therefore, standing for issues on justice is not
Catcher In The Rye Songs Analysis
The Catcher in the Rye is a very peculiar and depressing book. It is full of
symbolism and has a lot of meaning. There are many songs that could fit this book
well, but I think that there are twelve songs represent it best. These songs mostly
represent Holden, because he is the main feature of the book. Of course, these
songs all have to be the clean version since Holden freaks out about curse words.
Like the book, these songs are also full of symbolism and meaning. The first song
in the playlist is Jump Out the Window by Big Sean. The title is very relatable to
the book since James Castle jumped out of his window and several times, Holden
has thought to jump out of the window too. Now when you look at the lyrics, there
is one part that says, Remember when you used to come through and hit the Mario
Kart, And you always picked the princess . This relates to when Holden is talking
to Stradlater about Jane and how they used to play checkers back then and she
would always keep her kings in the back row. Another part of this song that relates
to Catcher in the Rye is You cried on my phone the whole night that time he crossed
the line yeah, yeah, yeah...And you told me never mind yeah, yeah, yeah. This also
relates to when Holden was thinking about Jane in chapter 11. In this scene, Holden
describes a situation when Jane s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This song speaks about a friend that the singer had that died. This relates to Catcher
in the Rye because it is like how Holden lost Allie. He still thinks about him every
day and he can t get over the fact that he s gone. Each and every day, The
daydreams of how we used to be, See your family, And that baby s lookin just like
you, Why d you go away? I ve been missin you lately. This sounds like what is
going through Holden s head whenever he thinks about Allie. He also says that
Phoebe looks a lot like him, just like it says in the song, That baby s lookin just like
Stereotypes of Afrcan American Males
I had the opportunity to attend the Why do the police think I m a thug?
Stereotypes of African American males in the media event. The event opened up
with a video clip titled Black Men in America and then we had a chance to have a
discussion panel with an African man named Nicholas Peart, who has been
stopped and frisked numerous times by the NYPD. The video clip, Black Men in
America, explains how mainstream media has a negative image of African
Americans males and portrayers them as criminals, drug dealers and rappers. In
the video Spike Lee, a film director explains how it s hard to push the media away
from the stereotype images of black men, because the viewers of these shows and
movies don t want see positive actions, they want to see violence. Lee stated his
tried to steer away from these images by creating movies; such as, Malcolm X and
Do the Right Thing, but as a result these films never made it to the theaters. After
the video clip, Nicholas Peart, a black activist opened a discussion on the issue, by
telling the audience stories of when his been stopped and frisked. He stated after
being stopped so many times he started using Facebook and Twitter to express his
feelings and talk about his experiences. Peart explained that being stopped and frisk
was never a shock to him because ever since he was young his mother enforced him
that he might be stopped by the police one day. His mother told him to always carry

John Lewis Vs Andrew Lewis
During the 1950s and 1960s, the southern half of the United States of America was
segregated in every way of life you could possibly imagine. People of color were
treated as less than human, and were denied even the most basic God given rights.
African Americans were barely considered human by some, and were physically,
emotionally, and psychologically harassed day in and day out. The March trilogy,
written by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin, shows us how civil rights activists such as
John Lewis led the fight against racial segregation in the US. Strong ideals and a
strong faithwere the only things that allowed these men to stay inspired during their
peaceful protests. Many would argue that events in John Lewis life introduced him to
Christianityin the first place, however his experiences only strengthened his faith.
Events such as receiving his first Bible, taking care of chickens on his family farm,
and listening to Martin Luther King Jr. preach over the radio only empowered his
beliefs and shaped what he stands for today. Lewis religionstemmed from a very
young age, and only grew from the time he received his first Bible. At just four
years old, John got his first Bible as a Christmas gift from his uncle. Although he
could not yet read himself, he had been going to church for his entire childhood,
and the teachings of Christianity had already taken root inside of him. When he
could begin to read the Bible on his own at 5 years old, he finally began to take hold

Purpose This book authored by Nugent Walter, is about the history of the
progressive movement in America; it includes its origin, its fundamental principles,
influential progressive leaders and their impact, and finally the fall of
progressivism. The author s purpose for writing this book is to convince the reader
that the progressive movement actually achieved its purpose which was to address
the discontentment of the gilded age. Nugent Walter is a former President of the
Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era; he is also a professor of
History with a Ph.D. degree in American history. He has published other books
including Habits of Empire: A History of American Expansion; Into the West: the

The author narrates that during this period the American way of life was mostly
communal in an Agrarian society. However, with the emergence of industrialization,
society shifted to the urban areas, the railway corporations and other large
corporations began to monopolize businesses causing a great divide between the rich
and the poor. The American people s discontentment propelled the government to
pass laws to curb monopolization; however, these laws could not stop the big
corporations, as they were largely ineffective. The result was a demand for reform,
which caused widespread crisis of the early twentieth
Voter Identification Laws, Diminished Registration...
Voter Identification Laws, Diminished Registration Opportunities, and Reduced
Early Voting Periods Impact Minority, Poor, and Elderly Voters In every election,
the major parties are trying to figure out how to win the election by ascertaining
which voters or groups of voters support or oppose their candidate. One of the
strategies used to win an electionis the use of voter mobilization or conversely
demobilization. It is general knowledge that a part of the Democratic party s tactics
to win electionsis simply to get their supporters mobilized and to get out the vote,
while the Republicans realize their leverage goes up as the votingpopulation goes
down (Hicks et al. 19). The product of these different strategies results in the
Democrats trying to get: more people registered, more people to vote in the early
election, more people to vote absentee or mail in votes, and more people to the polls
on the day of the election. Conversely, Republicans want to suppress votes from
traditionally Democratic voters: minorities, the poor, students, and the elderly, so
they use the strategies that will reduce the chances of the Democrats from casting
their vote by stricter voter identification laws, shorter registration hours, no same day
of election registration, and reduced early voting periods. The majority of the
suppression tactics need to be voted through the state legislatures which requires a
plausible legal reason to enact these disenfranchisement tactics. The
Mowgli s Brothers Compare And Contrast
Have you ever thought of how cool it would be if animals could talk? Two of my
favorite characters in Mowgli s Brothers are Mother Wolf and Father Wolf. The
author, Rudyard Kipling, uses personification to bring the animals to life. In Mowgli
s Brothers, Mother Wolf and Father Wolf find a baby in the jungle bravely escaping
from Shere Kahn, which they named Mowgli. Mom and Dad thought about how
useful he could be to the pack in the future. They bring Mowgli to the wolf council
to see if he could be part of the pack/family. At the council, Bagheera and Baloo
convince Akeelah and the pack to keep him by buying him for a bull. Mother Wolf
and Father Wolf have similar and different human characteristics. They both are
courageous because Mother Wolf stood up for Mowgli, and Father Wolf was ready
to attack whatever was going up the hill. At the same time, they are also different
because... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mother and Father Wolf are both different and similar in some ways.
In the fictional story, Mowgli s Brothers, Mother Wolf and Father Wolf have many
characteristics traits. But the ones that stood out the most were that they are both
courageous. Mother Wolf demonstrates that he is a courageous because she stood up
to Shere Khan, the big, bad tiger.. In the story it states, Mother Wolf shook herself
clear of the cubs and sprang forward...facing the blazing eyes of Shere Khan.
Mother Wolf was heroic to stand up to Shere Khan, even when her weak,
defenseless cubs were behind her. This showed that Mother Wolf is a courageous
because she was brave enough to stand up to Shere Khan. Another example, of
Mother Wolf s courage is when she was going to fight for death for Mowgli. In the
story is states, Mother Wolf got ready for what would be her last fight if things
came to fighting. This shows Mother Wolf was ready to attack all of the pack if she
had to. The story

Nascar History
NASCAR is one of the most rapidly growing sports in the world. There are people
who think that NASCAR is just a bunch of hicks going around in circles, but it
takes skill to drive at two hundred miles per hour. I am going to talk about the
history of NASCAR, early drivers of NASCAR, the three NASCAR divisions, the
rules, and the new technology. Two of NASCAR s oldest races are the ones that are
at Charlotte, North Carolina and Daytona international Speedways. Charlotte Motor
Speedway was designed and built in 1959 by Bruton Smith. Curtis Turner, stock car
s earliest driving star, was Smith s business partner. Turner became one of the first

Sprint Cup Series cars are unique in automobile racing. The engines are powerful
enough to reach speeds of over 200 mph (320 km/h), but heavy weight coupled
with a (relatively) simple aerodynamic package makes for poor handling. Their
bodies and chassis are strictly regulated to ensure parity or equality, and electronics
are generally Spartan in nature. The idea for the Truck Series dates back to 1993.
A group of off road racers (Dick Landfield, Jimmy Smith, Jim Venable, and Frank
Scoop Vessels) wanted a bigger audience for truck racing. They made a prototype
for a NASCAR style pickup truck. These were first shown off during the 1994
Daytona 500, and four demonstration races were held during the season. The first
event at Mesa Marin Raceway had six trucks. The other three events were held at
Portland Speedway, Saugus Speedway, and Tucson Raceway Park. Tucson
Raceway Park held four events that winter, which were nationally televised during
the Winter Heat Series coverage. These trucks proved to be extremely popular, and
it led to NASCAR creating the series, originally known as the Super Truck Series in
1995.
The rules of NASACAR changed a lot in the years since NASCAR started. The
rules kept changing due to advancement in technology, which meant different rules
for safety. Some of the rules today are that NASCAR allows bump drafting (helps
drivers conserve gas) on restrictor plate tracks, no speeding on entrance or exit of pit
Comparing The Integumentary System And Reproductive
System
1. Integumentary System and Reproductive System
Several systems work alongside the integumentary system to keep the body
functioning properly. For instance, the integumentary system and the reproductive
system are dependent on each other. The skin, an organ of the integumentary system,
protects the organs of the reproductive system, such as the uterus. The mammary
glands, highly modified glands that are part of the integumentary system, provide
milk for an infant after its birth. Skin stretches to accommodate a growing fetus in the
uterus as well. The reproductive system has many functions that aid the
integumentary system. Male sex hormones, produced by the testes, activate oil
glands, which lubricate skin and hair, and gonadal hormones stimulate ... Show more

The respiratory system carries out gas exchange; it provides oxygen and disposes
of carbon dioxide from the blood. The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated
blood from the right ventricle to the lungs where the carbon dioxide is removed
and oxygen is put in. The blood then travels back to the heart where it is pumped
throughout the body through arteries. Carbon dioxide in the form of carbonic acid
and bicarbonate contribute to blood buffering so the pH level of the blood resists
changes. The circulatory system delivers oxygen provided by the respiratory system
throughout the body via arteries, such as the aorta. Veins, such as the superior vena
cava and the inferior vena cava, transport wastes, such as carbon dioxide, out of the
body through the
Special Education In The 1890s
In order to have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs and how the
education system accommodates for children with SEN, it is important to know how
it has developed over the past hundred or so years.
In 1886, the Egerton Commission was set up to view the educational provision of
children who were deaf, blind or dumb. By 1888, the Egerton Commission had begun
including the education of those from ‘exceptional circumstances’
who would appear to need ‘exceptional methods of educationâ€events
which unfolded around this time had a large impact on how special needs was
viewed and still affects special education needs provision now. Around this time the
idea of segregated education was formed and this is the basis for the

In 1889 it was suggested that children who were considered to be feeble minded
children were to continue to be educated within the mainstream system but within
education classes and children considered to be educable imbeciles were to be
educated in special institutions. These recommendations led to the opening of of
special schools in the 1890s.
In 1898, the government expressed a lack of defining criteria for these groups and
therefore the difficulty in defining labels and correct education for children with
special education needs. This led to the Departmental Committee on Defective and
Epileptic Children to create the subgroup ‘the ability to earn a
living’.Children who were considered as able to earn a living were children
previously labeled as feeble minded whereas children who were imbeciles or idiots
were considered as unable to earn a living.
By 1913, the Board of Education’s Chief Medical Officer decided to group
children into five categories: the mentally normal child, the dull or backward child,
the feeble minded child, the imbecile child, the idiot. This shows that educators were
beginning to have a greater understanding of different abilities. the Board of
Educators was also beginning to understand that the lack

As Sire puts it but it is I who will act and not just react like a bell ringing when a
button is pushed. I believe when people are sinful, God stays the same. When we
begin to become more like God, we find our home. Our personality is grounded in
the personality of God. That is, we find our true home in God and in being in close
relationship with him. (Sire, pg. 34)
With that because of the fall and of mankind s sin, we need to be reborn. Jesus said
in John 3:7, Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. This is
because we all have been born in sin, Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in
sin my mother conceived me. (Psalms 51:5) How to be born again is to accept Jesus
and surrender to him. Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after

desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find
it. (Matt. 16:24 27) I believe life after death. We all will be judged when we leave

Crime is not new to the world; as a matter of fact, the crime rate is gradually
increasing and terrorist attacks are still rampant since the 9/11 bombing incident. In
response, the government created ways to prevent such wickedness to happen with
technology such as data encryption, information gathering, and electronic surveillance
. This raises concern from the community on how much and should the law
enforcement agencies have access to such information. Even though securityand
safety was the main goal for such response, limits should be considered on to what
extent are they able to gather information on people. The privacyof an individual
should be of higher priority than their security in the eyes of the law. By its very
nature, law enforcement is an information rich activity. One example of this is the
battle between the FBI and Apple company in February 2016. The FBI called on
Apple to help them hack an iPhone belonging to Islamic State inspired terrorist
Syed Rizwan Farook, who had opened fire on a local government office building in
San Bernardino in December 2015, killing 14 people. This is for the FBI to be able

given some data about Farook s iPhone activities, the FBI wanted more from his
iPhone to the extent that they wanted it encrypted. Yet, the Apple refused to comply

environment sustained effect unconsciously towards the emergence of a disaster. The
other thing is the changes of natural phenomena that occur periodically turned into
irregular and even a negative effect on habitat and human life.
People unrealized that the way of our lives and conduct of our business lead into
vulnerability. In this case into global warming, which potentially create many
problems more clearly. But the issue becomes complicated since the cause of global
warming itself derived from industrial and agricultural activities that give people
prosperity and welfare standards of living (Philander, 2004).
One of the phenomena that direct and directly affect people s habitat and life is El
Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Based on Syamsuddin (Syamsuddin, et al.,

a large scale pattern of the globe that influence powerfully. While McPhaden
(Meyers, et al., 2007) stated that ENSO is one of climate variability with a strong
connection between the atmosphere and the ocean in the Pacific equatorial. In a
simple way ENSO can be concluded as a natural phenomenon caused by ocean
atmosphere interactions. Furthermore, the ENSO cycle divided
Essay on The Matrix and Plato’s Allegory of the Cave
Unable to know any better, people s blindness to the truth about their existence
throughout the ages has been relative to the questioning of reality. We search but are
unable to the see the truth through the illusion that the world before us has portrayed.
One might ask, how do we know what is real and what is simply illusion brought by
our subjective view of the world? But when attempting to understand the nature of
our existence, about why we are here, the complexities of life often make it difficult
to interpret this subject. The film The Matrixcenters on this same concept that the
known world is an illusion. The movies core theme of reality and illusion is definite
to the humans understanding of what the true meaning of life is. Ones... Show more

After the early 21st century, humans built these machines, which are now held in a
nuclear winter like setting. Being deprived of sunlight as an energy source, they
have enslaved the human race and are farming people as a source of bioelectrical
energy. The humans are kept in an unconscious state in podlike containers in a vast
holding field, plugged in to a central computer. In the scenario of The Matrix,
everything in the world; cars, buildings, cities, and countries are part of a complex
computer generated virtual reality, which within the humans interact. Everything they
see, smell and hear is part of this virtual construct and does not really exist. A
computer merely stimulates their brains and deceives them into believing that they
are all living normal 20th century lives, eating sleeping, working and interacting
together. They are all blinded to the truth about how and why they exist. After a
handful of people have escaped from the nightmarish world of the Matrix, they find
out the truth and reach out to those still consumed with the falsities of this world.
One of these, a man named Morpheus, hacks into the Matrix and contacts Neo, telling
him,
The world you see is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from
the truth...Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born into a prison that
you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can

There are currently sites dedicated to farmers markets, however, these sites are
focused more on informing the community of their locations and products than
actual sales. This leaves in opening in the market to capitalize on people s desire to
eat locally and organically. In addition to being for mainly informational purposes
these sites are visually unappealing. Sites like farmersmarketonline.com have an
appearance like that of Craigslist.org and are reminiscent of the days of the early
internet. The market can be captured by offering consumers a site that resembles a
real farmers market visually. SWOT Analysis Strengths
1.Knowledge of marketing and markets is a strength held by the individual involved
in the start of Mike s Market. This strength will help with the formation of the
company since one of the price points for users of the site is marketing expertise and
help with online sales. This strength will also come into play in creating initial buzz
about the site to drive traffic and increase awareness.
2.Logistics and transportation support is another critical part of the online farmers
market so that users can concentrate on growing and selling their goods. The starter
of the site has over five years in logistics and transportation ranging from local
shipping to international shipping.
3.The passion to see this site from an idea to reality is a strength possessed by the
sites founder. This passion will aid in forming bonds with initial farmers and creating
An Intimate Experience With An Audience Through A Film
I wanted to create an intimate experience with an audience through a film. I needed
to get started. I had researched on forums, websites even Youtube on advice on
how where I could start. Most places said, to begin with, something you already
owned. In my case, It was the iPhone 5s. I had used my phone for a year to take
photos and videos when I had recently decided to upgrade to the CanonT6i. After
using the camerafor a couple of months now, I wanted to see the similarities and
differences in functionality that the iPhone5s had compared to the Canon T6i.
A similarity that is consistent with the iPhone 5s and the Canon T6i is the user
interface. The user will interact with the devices by using its buttons and touch
screens. The iPhone 5s and Canon T6i have many similar buttons such as the on/off,
home screen and volume buttons. The on/off button allows the user to get their
device started to take pictures. The home screen button redirects the user of an
iPho ne to a screen with apps, while a user of the Canon T6i to a screen with many
camera settings. The iPhone 5s and the Canon T6i have touch screens. The touch
screen adds comfort to the user. It is also a familiar feeling to most technology users
since the touch screen is very common in 2016.
A second similarity between the two devices is their camera functions. The basic
camera functions that are available to the Canon T6i and iPhone 5s includes the
zoom in/out, flash, single/continuous shots and self timer. This
Symbol of Being in Patricia Jabbeth WesleyВґs ThereВґs...
In There s Nothing You Can Do , by Patricia Jabbeh Wesley, Patricia exposes the
many aspects of life that cannot be changed. Through the poem, she shows a
realization of something that most do not ever understand or even grasp. She notes,
through different scenarios, that life will happen no matter what, and she must adapt
to anything life throws her way. Wesley tells about chilling situations, troubled
children, quarrels of parenting, inescapable aging, unavoidable nationality, and the
surety that she cannot change life. She writes about her take on living through how
people have a different symbol of their being, a different picture of what life looks
like, and approach life with a different tone. Humans do not have a choice in the
matter of which race or gender they occupy, but are politically distinguished through
political opinions. Through

Almost all writing is political. It can even come in the form of everyday situations

Jerome Idaho Business Analysis
The City of Jerome Idaho was known as the forty third County in the forty third
State of the United States of American. It was created in 1919 from what they call
the parent counties of Gooding, Minidoka and Lincoln counties. In the 1880 s
Jerome county was actually known as Alturas County, one which no longer exists.
As for the name of Jerome, there is a difference of option as to where that came
from. Some believe Jerome was named after the son of W. S. Kuhn whose name
was Jerome Kuhn. He had purchased some property known as North Side, from a
Frank Buhl. Jerome had planned on building a town site there on North Side. But

These kids were taken out of class to work with me on a one on one level helping

It was amazing to see kids that were in the second grade not knowing there sounds
or being able to add and subtract math correctly. They were in second grade on a
first grade reading/math levels. I also worked in schools that had the highest level
of kids in reading and math. Why such a split? The way the school are set up, you
would actually think that the location of the schools verses the issues within the
school would be flipped. When substituting at the charter school I found out that
they have a higher than average poverty level at their school, where 73% of the
children in the school receive free lunches, which is up from 2013 at 65%. Our
neighboring Twin Fallscounty school district runs at a 55% with their charter
school runs as low as 28% for free lunches. It is hard to figure out the reasons behind
why the poverty levels are so high. This is a farming community and we have a lot of

needing to learn English, but not for the kids that are non immigrants, but then again it

Strength
Nantucket Nectars numerous strengths have led to their success. They produce all
natural products that have a great taste, have a very strong management team as well
as a strong branding, guerilla marketing skills, possess the ability to exploit small,
rapidly changing market opportunities, last good access to single serve distribution
in the New Age beverage market, and is the best vehicle for juice companies to
expand into the juice cocktail category without risking their own brand equity. In
addition, Nantucket Nectars management team has the required knowledge and
experience with the single serve business and thus has the ability to add value to
large player who wants to roll out new single serve products.
Weakness
As a company with limited financial resources, Nantucket Nectars have been
disadvantaged in their channels of distribution. They have not been able to distribute
their products in the supermarket on a large scale. As can be seen from tables D and

proportion of Nantucket Nectars supermarket sales was only 1%. Nantucket Nectars
distributed their products mainly through other channels like delis and educational

inevitably means that the company would be able to increase their revenue

I Had A Good Day At Work Essay
I always had a positive outlook on everything when I was younger. In fact, up until
this year, I could still find the good in every negative situation. When I became
depressed, though, everything changed dramatically. I cant explain how confused
I was. Nothing had happened to make me feel the way I did; it really just came out
of nowhere. Being a person who looks to logic for explanation, I was not only
depressed and confused, but irritated. I kept thinking, This is not normal. Humans
are not supposed to feel like this . I had always had the power to change my
attitude about almost anything. If I wanted to like something, I would; if I wanted
to have a good day at work, I would. But for the first time in my life, I was totally
helpless. My power of mind had failed me. I was totally screwed. Suddenly, nothing
was good or fun, or even worth doing. My favorite things seemed boring, and
everything else seemed pointless. For some reason, every song that I would hear
would be sad to me...and not just kind of depressing, but completely tragic. Every
television show or movie seemed terrifying to me. My stomach would be filled
with adrenaline constantly for fear of what someone might say (knowing it would
be the saddest thing I d ever heard). Everything was so black, so endless, and so
impossible. I had become something I never wanted to be. I felt so distant from
myself and everyone else. I wasn t me anymore, and I think that made me even more

The Powder River Basin Is The United States
The Powder River Basin Located in the western United States, the Powder River
Basin is currently the United States largest producer of coal, and the coal that is
produced here is some of the cleanest coal that is used in coal burning power plants.
By producing such large quantities of low sulfur, clean burning coal, the Powder
River Basin is of great interest, and we will examine the conditions and factors that
helped to form some of the largest and cleanest coal seams in the world, along with
coal production and other coal bed resources. A basin, as defined by Merriam
Webster s dictionary, is a broad area of the earth beneath which the strata dip
usually from the sides toward the center and on a simplified level, the Powder
River Basin is exactly this (Merriam Webster.com, 2014). The Powder River Basin
spans from the northeast half of Wyoming into the southeast corner of Montana. A
geologic map of the Powder River is shown on the following page. The basin is an
assymetrical syncline with its axis lying along the western side. The coal bearing
rocks in the western part of the basin dip over 20 degrees, while the rocks at the
eastern side of the basin only dip up to 5 degrees (Flores et al., 2008). As indicated
by the following stratigraphic column, the coal bearing rocks of the powder river
basin were deposited from the Upper Cretaceous into the Eocene epoch. These rocks
can reach a thickness of almost 8000 feet at the basin axis (Curry, 1971). Found at the

Part A
For this part of the analysis, consider each department in the Gdansk factory in
isolation. Assume that the rest of the production system has no impact on the
department you are considering. Assume that material handling times are negligible
and ignore variability in processing times.
1. For the typical 100 pair batch, what is the daily capacity and manufacturing lead
time within each of the following departments?
a. Cutting
8 hrs/day x 60 min/hr = 480 min/day
Machine 1 = (0.05 x 4)(100) + (5.25 x 4) = 41 min/batch
Machine 2 = (0.05 x 4)(100) + (5.00 x 4) = 40 min/batch
Machine 3 = (0.04 x 4)(100) + (4.00 x 4) = 32 min/batch

Therefore, the time given is the time it takes to stamp 1 of the 4 components on one
machine. Another assumption I have made is the workers performing the stitching
are all equally paced. It takes each worker the exact same amount of time to perform
their duties and pass the product along to the next group.
Part B
Now consider the factory as a system, and take into account interactions between the
departments.
3. Assuming production is done in 100 pair batches, what is the factory s daily
capacity?
Cutting 41 min/batch
Stitching 133 min/batch
Lasting 33.2 min/batch
Capacity of the Factory = 480 min/day Г· 133 min/batch = 3.6 batches/day
4. What is the total MLT for a 100 pair batch?
MLT
Cutting= 41 min/batch
Kitting= 10 min/batch
Stitching= 133 min/batch
Steaming= 6 hrs x 60 min = 360 min/batch
Lasting= 33.2 min/batch
TOTAL MLT= 577.2 min/batch
Part C
5. How would you go about deciding the appropriate batch size for the Stonehaven
factory? What factors would you consider? How do they interrelate? (You may wish
to do some calculations, but concentrate on thinking conceptually.)
6. Focus only on your highest priorities for improving the production process at
Stonehaven s Gdansk factory (be specific). Explain why they are important. What
actions do you recommend? How would you implement your recommendations?
What do you predict will be the consequences?

There once was a god named Perculus, he was one of the three lost gods that were

jealous that someone other than himself was teaching the citizens so he sent him to
Hades, along with two other gods for other personal reasons, Diminutive the original

on Zeus and Hades, but little did they know that they too were scheming a plan to

When Zeus and Hades retuned almost everyone had forgotten about Perculus,
Diminutive and Gargantuan. But little did Zeus know Perculus had become good
friends with Aphrodite (Goddess of love and beauty), and Aphrodite was wondering
where he was. When she went to ask Hades where Perculus went, he panicked and

Years passed and Perculus eventually lost his popularity because Zeus had
conquered his goal and practically taking over Perculus job. By then Zeus had

The Planning Of Software Development Project
ABSTRACT In the planning of software development project, a major challenge
faced by project managers is to predict the re work effort. (re work effort is the
effort require to fix the software defects identified during system testing). Project
manager objective is to deliver the software that not only meets the time and cost
requirements but also the quality requirements given by the client. To ensure the
quality of the software, many testing cycle will be conducted before it is finally
delivered to the client for acceptance. Each testing cycle is a costly affair as it
involves running all possible test scenarios in all possible environments, followed
by defect fixing and re verification of defects. On average, there are 2 3 testing
cycle conducted but this depends on number of defects identified during testing.
Number of defects will depend on the team expertise and whether they earlier
worked on similar projects and technologies. Hence, it becomes critical to predict
the number of defects identified during testing and it is a very challenging task as it
requires a good predicting model to predict the re work effort. In this paper, we
describe the relationship among software size, no of software defects, productivity
and efforts for web based development projects. This relationship is established by
using the multiple linear regression technique on the benchmarking data published by
International Software Benchmarking Standard Group. Results suggest that web

Example Of Fall Dance
Fall Dance Concert
Dance is not just about technique. It s about taking risks and making art come
alive. The pieces in Hofstra s Fall Dance Concert exemplified this notion through
their use of storytelling and unique choreography. Personally, my favourite piece
was Quadrabox . All of the dances drew me in, but Quadrabox left a lasting
impression. Quadrabox was choreographed and composed by Robert Benford and
Martha Patridge. At the show I saw, the piece began with two groups of four dancers
sitting in square formations on top of wooden boxes. The choreography itself
reminded me of both hand clapping games that kids play for fun and of the art of
stepping. This piece was interesting to watch because it was unconventional. It was
not at all what I was expecting to see. When the piece began, I caught myself
wondering if it really counted as dance. However, as it went on I realized that I was
using too narrow of a definition. The fact that I am not used to seeing something does
not discount it.
The costumes, designed by Meredith R. Van Scoy, were kept very simple. The
dancers wore black clothes and black or white shoes. This was most likely to ensure
that the audience primarily focused on the intricate choreography. The music came
from the beats the dancers made themselves with their clapping, stomping, and
moving the boxes. This piece was exciting to me because in order for it to work,
every single dancer had to be totally in sync with everyone else. Even one person

This is to indicate that the number of syllables is two as well. However, the sonority

delimiting separate syllables.

Hierarchical Structure of the Syllable
Most of modern phonological theories agree that the syllable has constituent or
hierarchical rather than linear structure. The syllable (conventionally marked as small
Greek sigma: #963;) has two immediate constituents (it branches into two elements, to
put it in another way) В– the Onset (O), which includes any consonants that precede
the nuclear element (the vowel), and the Rhyme (R), which includes the nuclear
element (the vowel) as well as any marginal elements (consonants) that might follow
it. The Rhyme, in turn, branches into Peak (P), also known as Nucleus (N), and Coda
(Co). The Peak (Nucleus), as the designation suggests, represents the nuclear or most
sonorous

Reflective Essay About Writing
Writing, Written, Wrote
I do not like writing, I do not like proofreading, and I most certainly do not like time
consuming projects. Those were my thoughts at the beginning of the semester. I have
never written about something that I truly care about, I did not realize the power of a
voice. Writing and Argument has pushed me to find my voice as a writer and has
showed me that there is more to a paper than the requirements.
A project is assigned, a deadline is set, and I am sitting staring at a blank computer
screen questioning why she is at a loss for words. I get up, walk around and
convince myself that I deserve 4 Hershey kisses. I sit back down in the chair and
begin to think of my intentions for my newest piece. Will it be comical? Well
written? Quality? I stare at my screen wondering why I haven t typed one. Single.
Word.
After 2 cups of coffee and a slight motivation, I sit, write, and do not stop until my
paper is complete. I grow more and more irritated with my writing and am unable to
read over it for a few days. The first time I read over my paper, I convince myself that
wow this is the best thing you have ever written it is perfect do not change it. Give
it a few more hours, reality sinks in and I begin to revise the first draft.
The revision lasts about 4 minutes and I reassure myself that my paper does not
need to be fixed. Once again, I am wrong. A few days go by and I am finally ready
to put my full attention on this project. I struggle
Jekyll And Mr Hyde Essay
French philosopher Michel Foucault once said If repression has indeed been the
fundamental link between power, knowledge, and sexuality since the classical
age, it stands to reason that we will not be able to free ourselves from it except at a
considerable cost, . This quotation is saying that repression is the reason why
people are not free to express themselves and explore new things. According to
Foucault, the only way to be free involves consequences. In The Strange Case of Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevensondiscusses the consequences of
repression through his characters Jekyll and Hyde. In this story, Jekyll attempts to
live the suffocating expectations of Victorian society, but he ultimately creates an
alter ego in order to deal with his suffering. This alter ego, Hyde, was created at a
considerable cost to Jekyll.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Jekyll s id is Mr. Hyde. As stated in an outside source, A study
in dualism: The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Mr. Hyde would seem
easily recognizable as the id, seeking instant gratification, having an aggressive
instinct, and having no moral or social mores that need be followed, (Singh and
Chakrabarti 13). Mr. Hyde as seen multiple times throughout the novel, expresses
one of the components of the id mentioned in the quotation. One example showing
how he lives by no morals or values is when he kill Sir Danvers Carew. Hyde beat
him to death out of impulse when he passed him late at night on the street. This
murder also represents how Mr. Hyde shows aggression. Instant gratification is
seen towards the end of the novel. In chapter 10 Jekyll says My devil had been
long caged, he came out roaring, (Stevenson 92). Hyde could not withhold being
repressed anymore and breaks out without Dr. Jekyll s potion. He does this because
he is looking for pleasure. This relates to Freud s pleasure principle where it is Hyde
s instinct to transform to be
Hazing And Black Greek Letters

Organizations are in the same company, but the hazing is way worse than what
people think, they have people dying, people are getting abused, and it is all for a
fraternity or sorority. Is Hazing something that s important to you ? What about Black
Greek Letter Associations ? Hazing is the imposition of strenuous, often humiliating,

Your probably thinking, well isnt bullying the same thing. Well they kinda are, but
there is a difference between the two. The definition for bully is a person who uses
strength or power to harm or intimidate those who are weaker. On the site Hazing
Prevention.org, they say the only real difference between hazing and bullying is
that bullying usually involves singling out an individual at anytime and bullying
them as a means to exclude them. Hazing, on the other hand, involves including
people by having them earn their way into a group or onto a team. There are 10
Top of the Worst Hazing Ritual that Elite Day found. Number 10 was Raped by a
Sharpie which is sexual penetration with a Sharpie. Number 9 was Cocaine or
Dildo which is used within Sororities, it is when the girl has to either use a dildo in
front of your sisters or take hit of Cocaine. Number 8 is Boiling Hot Water, which
is when the person who is pledging gets Hot Boiling Water on their back, chest,
and or genitals. A pledge at Tulane University received this Ritual and they got the
most physically enduring pain they ever had. Number 7 was Boob Ranking, it is
also within sororities pledges are forced to strip off their shirts and bras in a cold

Abduction And Confinement Psychological Effects
Abduction and confinement is a psychologically damaging crime since it leaves
victims with psychological wounds that take long to heal. Victims get deep mental
and emotional scars that affect their lives in terms of love, trust, respect, and
independence. Individuals who have survived kidnapping have been found to have
problems regarding the issues of trust for the rest of their lives due to the
deprivation of freedom as well as being held against their will. However, for people
like Elizabeth Smart who was abducted and later released feels that to deal with the
ensuing psychological effects, one has to forget about their past and move on with
life. This research work seeks to address the psychological effects if abduction and
confinement using... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One may also have denial, which is shown by the failure to acknowledge the event
as having happened. Denial delays the period of healing and adjusting to normal life.
One may also exhibit behaviors, such as psychological infantilism and frozen fright.
Attachment Some individuals develop an unconscious bond with their kidnapper
and experience grief if the perpetrator is harmed. The victim may rely on the captor
for basic needs, which makes the victim to associate with their feeder through the
process of classical conditional. Discussion The shock of being abducted and
confined against one s will exerts psychological pressure leading to trauma inducing
thoughts. The unfolding events affect the individual psychologically as they get to
know the reasons behind the ordeal. Conclusion Kidnapping is a very traumatizing
experience for any individual as it leaves psychological scars that may take forever to
heal. This research paper sought to address the psychological effects of abduction and
confinement and to some extend borrowing from the case of Elizabeth Smart; child
victim of abduction and prolonged confinement. The effects are social, emotional,
and cognitive, which when not addressed at the right time might lead to lasting mental

The
Approximately one out of every seven people entering the hospital needs blood.
Whether it is due to a pre existing condition, an emergency accident, or an upcoming
surgery, blood is a key component to the success of many procedures. Without
donations, it would be impossible to complete many life saving tasks, since there is
no substitute for blood. Donating blood is an easy yet significant act, so anyone who
is able should donate blood, since blood donations make a world of difference in
many people s lives. Blood donationis the voluntary process of having one s own
blood drawn and then transferred to another in need of the blood (Mayo). There are
many instances that call for the need of blood. Whether it is severe trauma, childbirth

Consequently, hospitals cannot keep the shelves stocked since there is a lack in
donating from eligible donors. Although about 40% of Americans are eligible to
donate, less than 10% actually donate (Donate Blood). There is an increasing
shortage of blood supply due to lack of donations, as well as the fact that 40,000
pints of blood are used each day in the United States (Donate Blood). A significant
factor in the lack of donations is the negative perception on the part of donors.
Due to the constant need for blood, testing and screening have advanced so as to
reduce risks to a donor. Many precautions are taken to ensure safety and to prevent
any issues from arising, thus donating is safe for everyone. There are height and
weight requirements for donors. Similarly, before the donation begins, an in depth
medical history interview takes place. It is necessary for the safety of the donor
and recipient for the blood to be tested prior to donating. Also, iron levels are tested
to ensure the donor will recover quickly and efficiently. Materials used while
gathering blood are sterile and only used once (General Donation Facts). Preventing
disease transmission has been made possible through great improvements of donor
security screening and the use of a variety of tests (Center for Biologics...). Another
aspect of safety is the handling and distribution of blood (Center for Biologics...),
which must follow rules and guidelines to ensure no

Introduction In pyschology conformity can be descibed as an indiviual s tendency
to follow the unspoken rules or behaviours of the social group to which he/she
belongs to or wants to be apart of. Many psychologists including , Jenness (1932),
Sherif (1935) both experimented in psychology, investigating conformity and group
pressure. However, perhaps the most famous conformity experiment was done by
Solomon Asch (1951) and his line judgment experiment. (McLeod 2007) Solomon
Asch was a psychologist that conduced numerous expirments designed to illustrate
the increasing conformity within social groups. The experiments also invesigated
the effect the number of people present within the group had one the conformity
rate. Asch hypothesized, that the majority of the people would not conform to
something obviosly wrong; however, when surrounded by (other) individuals all
voicing an incorrect answer, 75% of them(the participant) will conform to the
groups answer (Watzlawick 1976) In the experiment solomon had two boards; one
showing three lines of different lengths ( boardA) and another with one line( board
B). The group of people were then asked which line on board A looked similar to the
one on board B.
Hall Of Fame Debacle
Hall of Fame Debacle When I think of my childhood watching baseball, a few
players always stick out to me. Those players include my favorite player of all time
Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire, Barry Bond, and many others. Those three specifI
remember thinking that they will be first ballet Hall of Fame. They were way too
good for anything less than that. Now it is 2015 and none of the three are in the
Hall of Fame. Why?, you may ask. you ask? The main reason is all of their
connections to P.E.D.s (Performance enhancing drugs). All have allegedly used these
to improve their performance on the field and make the game more exciting to
watch. One of the most memorable things in baseball going on in the so called

That means a player who did use can be voted in by people against the drugs
without them even knowing. And of course that works the other way as well.
There seems to be a common consensus between all groups about the issue. The
Hall of Fame needs to change in some form or another. The way it is right now is
not getting things done. People who may not deserve Hall of Fame honors may be
inducted and players who do deserve to be honored may

  • 1. Analytical Analysis Essay Writing an essay on the topic of an "Analytical Analysis Essay" can be a challenging task that requires a thoughtful approach and a solid understanding of analytical techniques. The difficulty arises from the need to not only analyze a particular subject but also to do so in a structured and coherent manner. Firstly, the writer must possess strong analytical skills to dissect the topic and break it down into its essential components. This involves critically examining the subject, identifying key elements, and understanding their interconnections. This step requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to discern the significance of each aspect. Additionally, crafting a compelling analytical analysis essay involves formulating a clear thesis statement that captures the main argument or perspective. This requires a deep understanding of the subject matter and the ability to articulate a coherent and persuasive argument. Ensuring that the essay has a logical flow and is well-organized is crucial, as it contributes to the overall effectiveness of the analysis. Moreover, the writer must support their analysis with relevant evidence and examples, drawing on a variety of sources to strengthen their arguments. The process of researching and selecting appropriate evidence can be time-consuming and demands a thorough understanding of the topic. Finally, polishing the essay for clarity, coherence, and conciseness adds another layer of complexity. Striking the right balance between providing enough detail to support the analysis and avoiding unnecessary verbosity is essential. Proper citation and adherence to any specific formatting guidelines further contribute to the overall challenge. When I was about 9 my dad passed away from pancreatic cancer, and my mom turned to bad habits. I have three sisters, one of which is raising my other sister and me with her husband. Other than that I am a football cheerleader and a basketball player, I mainly play sports outside of school and do activities like the fall musical and spring play. I had mainly good grades up until I was in about fourth grade. I don t know what it was or what happened, I guess I just stopped caring. I probably care about Global Studies the most as a class subject. It has always caught my interest. My least favorite subject is English. I certainly want to change
  • 3. Comparing Social Norms in My Last Duchess by Robert... When one travels, it is easy to observe differences in social norms from country to country. One may also observe differences within a country, for example, the social norms of a small town or village versus those of a large metropolis. Differences in social norms can also be observed in literature. This essay will focus on two dramatic monologues, which were written by poets who lived in England during the same period. Robert Browningpublished My last Duchessin 1842, the same year that Alfred Tennyson published Ulysses. Both poets lived in England during the Victorian era. However, by examining characters from their poetry, namely Alfonso in My Last Duchess and Odysseus in Ulysses, we can see that they express opposite norms concerning... Instead, he chooses to leave the sceptre and the isle to his son, Telemachus (Line 34) (Tennyson 645). Then he says, When I am gone. [Telemachus] works his works (Line 43) (Tennyson 645). For this, he has no hesitation to lose his power over people. [He] cannot rest from travel: [He] will drink Life to the less: all times [he has] enjoyed Greatly, [has] a suffered greatly (Line 6 8) (Tennyson 645). Odysseus feels comfort from going around in his past, but now he can t feel it from unchanged things like staying only in his island to do almost same thing every day. As he says that how dull it is to pauses, resting from his journey is not a great moment for him (Line 22) (Tennyson 645). As we can expect, he should live in luxury more than the other people in his country because he is a kind. But, he expresses that as to rust unburnished, not to shine in use (Line 23) (Tennyson 645). Life that he is away from finding new things doesn t mean anything for him. What s more, he mentions that gleams that untravelled world (Line 20) (Tennyson 645). Odysseus considers the something new shines on his life and to meet a change isn t fear. However, Alfonso is opposite from Odysseus. He is afraid of something changes. That s why he kills his wife, and puts his last wife
  • 4. On Civil Disobedience By Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality Bishop Desmond Tutus. Sometimes being neutral in a situation is good. When two of your best friends are fighting with each other, do you pick a side? Would you choose one friend over the other? If so, how would that affect you and the friend you didn t choose relationship? The reason why it is not important for people to take a stand on issues of justice in society is because a nation tends to fall because of civil disobedience, pain, suffering, and sometimes death may occur, and there is a chance of failing and /or suffering the... In Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi s speech On Civil Disobedience he says, No clapping is possible without two hands to do it, and no quarrel without two persons to make it. Similarly, no State is possible without two entities, the rulers and the ruled. Your are our sovereign, or Government, only so long as we consider ourselves your subjects. When we are not subjects, you are not the sovereign either. So long as it is your endeavour to control us with justice and love, we will let you tod so. But if you wish to strike at us from behind, we cannot permit it. In other words, in order to have order, there needs to be a strong connection between the subjects and sovereigns . By not doing so, it could lead to civil disobedience, violence, or even death. Nevertheless, in Chief Joseph s speech On Surrender At Bear Paw Mountain, 1877 he says, Tell General Howard that I know his heart. What he told me before I have in my heart. I am tired of fighting. Our chiefs are killed. Looking Glass is dead, Tu hul hil sote is dead. The old men are all dead...Hear me, my chiefs, my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever. Further explained, although Chief Joseph fought for his land, liberty, and people, he failed. In result of this, many suffered and were killed. Because of this failure, Chief Joseph regrets fighting and decides to quit. Therefore, standing for issues on justice is not
  • 5. Catcher In The Rye Songs Analysis The Catcher in the Rye is a very peculiar and depressing book. It is full of symbolism and has a lot of meaning. There are many songs that could fit this book well, but I think that there are twelve songs represent it best. These songs mostly represent Holden, because he is the main feature of the book. Of course, these songs all have to be the clean version since Holden freaks out about curse words. Like the book, these songs are also full of symbolism and meaning. The first song in the playlist is Jump Out the Window by Big Sean. The title is very relatable to the book since James Castle jumped out of his window and several times, Holden has thought to jump out of the window too. Now when you look at the lyrics, there is one part that says, Remember when you used to come through and hit the Mario Kart, And you always picked the princess . This relates to when Holden is talking to Stradlater about Jane and how they used to play checkers back then and she would always keep her kings in the back row. Another part of this song that relates to Catcher in the Rye is You cried on my phone the whole night that time he crossed the line yeah, yeah, yeah...And you told me never mind yeah, yeah, yeah. This also relates to when Holden was thinking about Jane in chapter 11. In this scene, Holden describes a situation when Jane s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The event opened up with a video clip titled Black Men in America and then we had a chance to have a discussion panel with an African man named Nicholas Peart, who has been stopped and frisked numerous times by the NYPD. The video clip, Black Men in America, explains how mainstream media has a negative image of African Americans males and portrayers them as criminals, drug dealers and rappers. In the video Spike Lee, a film director explains how it s hard to push the media away from the stereotype images of black men, because the viewers of these shows and movies don t want see positive actions, they want to see violence. Lee stated his tried to steer away from these images by creating movies; such as, Malcolm X and Do the Right Thing, but as a result these films never made it to the theaters. After the video clip, Nicholas Peart, a black activist opened a discussion on the issue, by telling the audience stories of when his been stopped and frisked. He stated after being stopped so many times he started using Facebook and Twitter to express his feelings and talk about his experiences. Peart explained that being stopped and frisk was never a shock to him because ever since he was young his mother enforced him that he might be stopped by the police one day. His mother told him to always carry his identification on him, be nice to the
  • 7. John Lewis Vs Andrew Lewis During the 1950s and 1960s, the southern half of the United States of America was segregated in every way of life you could possibly imagine. People of color were treated as less than human, and were denied even the most basic God given rights. African Americans were barely considered human by some, and were physically, emotionally, and psychologically harassed day in and day out. The March trilogy, written by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin, shows us how civil rights activists such as John Lewis led the fight against racial segregation in the US. Strong ideals and a strong faithwere the only things that allowed these men to stay inspired during their peaceful protests. Many would argue that events in John Lewis life introduced him to Christianityin the first place, however his experiences only strengthened his faith. Events such as receiving his first Bible, taking care of chickens on his family farm, and listening to Martin Luther King Jr. preach over the radio only empowered his beliefs and shaped what he stands for today. Lewis religionstemmed from a very young age, and only grew from the time he received his first Bible. At just four years old, John got his first Bible as a Christmas gift from his uncle. Although he could not yet read himself, he had been going to church for his entire childhood, and the teachings of Christianity had already taken root inside of him. When he could begin to read the Bible on his own at 5 years old, he finally began to take hold of how

  • 10. Voter Identification Laws, Diminished Registration... Voter Identification Laws, Diminished Registration Opportunities, and Reduced Early Voting Periods Impact Minority, Poor, and Elderly Voters In every election, the major parties are trying to figure out how to win the election by ascertaining which voters or groups of voters support or oppose their candidate. One of the strategies used to win an electionis the use of voter mobilization or conversely demobilization. It is general knowledge that a part of the Democratic party s tactics to win electionsis simply to get their supporters mobilized and to get out the vote, while the Republicans realize their leverage goes up as the votingpopulation goes down (Hicks et al. 19). The product of these different strategies results in the Democrats trying to get: more people registered, more people to vote in the early election, more people to vote absentee or mail in votes, and more people to the polls on the day of the election. Conversely, Republicans want to suppress votes from traditionally Democratic voters: minorities, the poor, students, and the elderly, so they use the strategies that will reduce the chances of the Democrats from casting their vote by stricter voter identification laws, shorter registration hours, no same day of election registration, and reduced early voting periods. The majority of the suppression tactics need to be voted through the state legislatures which requires a plausible legal reason to enact these disenfranchisement tactics. The
  • 11. Mowgli s Brothers Compare And Contrast Have you ever thought of how cool it would be if animals could talk? Two of my favorite characters in Mowgli s Brothers are Mother Wolf and Father Wolf. The author, Rudyard Kipling, uses personification to bring the animals to life. In Mowgli s Brothers, Mother Wolf and Father Wolf find a baby in the jungle bravely escaping from Shere Kahn, which they named Mowgli. Mom and Dad thought about how useful he could be to the pack in the future. They bring Mowgli to the wolf council to see if he could be part of the pack/family. At the council, Bagheera and Baloo convince Akeelah and the pack to keep him by buying him for a bull. Mother Wolf and Father Wolf have similar and different human characteristics. They both are courageous because Mother Wolf stood up for Mowgli, and Father Wolf was ready to attack whatever was going up the hill. At the same time, they are also different because... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mother and Father Wolf are both different and similar in some ways. In the fictional story, Mowgli s Brothers, Mother Wolf and Father Wolf have many characteristics traits. But the ones that stood out the most were that they are both courageous. Mother Wolf demonstrates that he is a courageous because she stood up to Shere Khan, the big, bad tiger.. In the story it states, Mother Wolf shook herself clear of the cubs and sprang forward...facing the blazing eyes of Shere Khan. Mother Wolf was heroic to stand up to Shere Khan, even when her weak, defenseless cubs were behind her. This showed that Mother Wolf is a courageous because she was brave enough to stand up to Shere Khan. Another example, of Mother Wolf s courage is when she was going to fight for death for Mowgli. In the story is states, Mother Wolf got ready for what would be her last fight if things came to fighting. This shows Mother Wolf was ready to attack all of the pack if she had to. The story

There are people who think that NASCAR is just a bunch of hicks going around in circles, but it takes skill to drive at two hundred miles per hour. I am going to talk about the history of NASCAR, early drivers of NASCAR, the three NASCAR divisions, the rules, and the new technology. Two of NASCAR s oldest races are the ones that are at Charlotte, North Carolina and Daytona international Speedways. Charlotte Motor Speedway was designed and built in 1959 by Bruton Smith. Sprint Cup Series cars are unique in automobile racing. The engines are powerful enough to reach speeds of over 200 mph (320 km/h), but heavy weight coupled with a (relatively) simple aerodynamic package makes for poor handling. Their bodies and chassis are strictly regulated to ensure parity or equality, and electronics are generally Spartan in nature. The idea for the Truck Series dates back to 1993. A group of off road racers (Dick Landfield, Jimmy Smith, Jim Venable, and Frank Scoop Vessels) wanted a bigger audience for truck racing. They made a prototype for a NASCAR style pickup truck. These were first shown off during the 1994 Daytona 500, and four demonstration races were held during the season. The first event at Mesa Marin Raceway had six trucks. The other three events were held at Portland Speedway, Saugus Speedway, and Tucson Raceway Park. Tucson Raceway Park held four events that winter, which were nationally televised during the Winter Heat Series coverage. These trucks proved to be extremely popular, and it led to NASCAR creating the series, originally known as the Super Truck Series in 1995. The rules of NASACAR changed a lot in the years since NASCAR started. The rules kept changing due to advancement in technology, which meant different rules for safety. Some of the rules today are that NASCAR allows bump drafting (helps drivers conserve gas) on restrictor plate tracks, no speeding on entrance or exit of pit

Integumentary System and Reproductive System Several systems work alongside the integumentary system to keep the body functioning properly. For instance, the integumentary system and the reproductive system are dependent on each other. The skin, an organ of the integumentary system, protects the organs of the reproductive system, such as the uterus. The mammary glands, highly modified glands that are part of the integumentary system, provide milk for an infant after its birth. Skin stretches to accommodate a growing fetus in the uterus as well. The reproductive system has many functions that aid the integumentary system. In 1898, the government expressed a lack of defining criteria for these groups and therefore the difficulty in defining labels and correct education for children with special education needs. This led to the Departmental Committee on Defective and Epileptic Children to create the subgroup ‘the ability to earn a living’.Children who were considered as able to earn a living were children previously labeled as feeble minded whereas children who were imbeciles or idiots were considered as unable to earn a living. By 1913, the Board of Education’s Chief Medical Officer decided to group children into five categories: the mentally normal child, the dull or backward child, the feeble minded child, the imbecile child, the idiot. This shows that educators were beginning to have a greater understanding of different abilities. the Board of Educators was also beginning to understand that the lack

Persuasive Essay On Security And Security Crime is not new to the world; as a matter of fact, the crime rate is gradually increasing and terrorist attacks are still rampant since the 9/11 bombing incident. In response, the government created ways to prevent such wickedness to happen with technology such as data encryption, information gathering, and electronic surveillance . This raises concern from the community on how much and should the law enforcement agencies have access to such information. Even though securityand safety was the main goal for such response, limits should be considered on to what extent are they able to gather information on people. The privacyof an individual should be of higher priority than their security in the eyes of the law. By its very nature, law enforcement is an information rich activity. One example of this is the battle between the FBI and Apple company in February 2016. The FBI called on Apple to help them hack an iPhone belonging to Islamic State inspired terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook, who had opened fire on a local government office building in San Bernardino in December 2015, killing 14 people. The other thing is the changes of natural phenomena that occur periodically turned into irregular and even a negative effect on habitat and human life. One might ask, how do we know what is real and what is simply illusion brought by our subjective view of the world? But when attempting to understand the nature of our existence, about why we are here, the complexities of life often make it difficult to interpret this subject. The film The Matrixcenters on this same concept that the known world is an illusion. After the early 21st century, humans built these machines, which are now held in a nuclear winter like setting. Being deprived of sunlight as an energy source, they have enslaved the human race and are farming people as a source of bioelectrical energy. The humans are kept in an unconscious state in podlike containers in a vast holding field, plugged in to a central computer. In the scenario of The Matrix, everything in the world; cars, buildings, cities, and countries are part of a complex computer generated virtual reality, which within the humans interact. Everything they see, smell and hear is part of this virtual construct and does not really exist. A computer merely stimulates their brains and deceives them into believing that they are all living normal 20th century lives, eating sleeping, working and interacting together. They are all blinded to the truth about how and why they exist. After a handful of people have escaped from the nightmarish world of the Matrix, they find out the truth and reach out to those still consumed with the falsities of this world. One of these, a man named Morpheus, hacks into the Matrix and contacts Neo, telling him, The world you see is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth...Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what

There are currently sites dedicated to farmers markets, however, these sites are focused more on informing the community of their locations and products than actual sales. This leaves in opening in the market to capitalize on people s desire to eat locally and organically. In addition to being for mainly informational purposes these sites are visually unappealing. Sites like farmersmarketonline.com have an appearance like that of Craigslist.org and are reminiscent of the days of the early internet. The market can be captured by offering consumers a site that resembles a real farmers market visually. SWOT Analysis Strengths 1.Knowledge of marketing and markets is a strength held by the individual involved in the start of Mike s Market. This strength will help with the formation of the company since one of the price points for users of the site is marketing expertise and help with online sales. This strength will also come into play in creating initial buzz about the site to drive traffic and increase awareness. 2.Logistics and transportation support is another critical part of the online farmers market so that users can concentrate on growing and selling their goods. The starter of the site has over five years in logistics and transportation ranging from local shipping to international shipping. 3.The passion to see this site from an idea to reality is a strength possessed by the sites founder. I had used my phone for a year to take photos and videos when I had recently decided to upgrade to the CanonT6i. After using the camerafor a couple of months now, I wanted to see the similarities and differences in functionality that the iPhone5s had compared to the Canon T6i. A similarity that is consistent with the iPhone 5s and the Canon T6i is the user interface. The user will interact with the devices by using its buttons and touch screens. The iPhone 5s and Canon T6i have many similar buttons such as the on/off, home screen and volume buttons. The on/off button allows the user to get their device started to take pictures. The home screen button redirects the user of an iPho ne to a screen with apps, while a user of the Canon T6i to a screen with many camera settings. The iPhone 5s and the Canon T6i have touch screens. The touch screen adds comfort to the user. It is also a familiar feeling to most technology users since the touch screen is very common in 2016. A second similarity between the two devices is their camera functions. The basic camera functions that are available to the Canon T6i and iPhone 5s includes the zoom in/out, flash, single/continuous shots and self timer. This

Through the poem, she shows a realization of something that most do not ever understand or even grasp. She notes, through different scenarios, that life will happen no matter what, and she must adapt to anything life throws her way. Wesley tells about chilling situations, troubled children, quarrels of parenting, inescapable aging, unavoidable nationality, and the surety that she cannot change life. She writes about her take on living through how people have a different symbol of their being, a different picture of what life looks like, and approach life with a different tone. Humans do not have a choice in the matter of which race or gender they occupy, but are politically distinguished through political opinions. Through There s Nothing You Can Do , Patricia Jabbeh Wesley finds that the absoluteness of life is an inevitable as breath. Almost all writing is political. It can even come in the form of everyday situations that are dealt with by human nature. Power structure, the ranking of classes, rights, and racial, gender, or ethnic groups are all examples of political aspects of life. In There s Nothing You Can Do , Wesley first talks about being on a planeduring a thunderstorm. She expresses her panic by saying Nothing, to quell that old fear of crashing. / Nothing about the first class seating / that s no longer there;

(re work effort is the effort require to fix the software defects identified during system testing). Project manager objective is to deliver the software that not only meets the time and cost requirements but also the quality requirements given by the client. To ensure the quality of the software, many testing cycle will be conducted before it is finally delivered to the client for acceptance. Each testing cycle is a costly affair as it involves running all possible test scenarios in all possible environments, followed by defect fixing and re verification of defects. On average, there are 2 3 testing cycle conducted but this depends on number of defects identified during testing. Number of defects will depend on the team expertise and whether they earlier worked on similar projects and technologies. Hence, it becomes critical to predict the number of defects identified during testing and it is a very challenging task as it requires a good predicting model to predict the re work effort. In this paper, we describe the relationship among software size, no of software defects, productivity and efforts for web based development projects. This relationship is established by using the multiple linear regression technique on the benchmarking data published by International Software Benchmarking Standard Group. The pieces in Hofstra s Fall Dance Concert exemplified this notion through their use of storytelling and unique choreography. Personally, my favourite piece was Quadrabox . All of the dances drew me in, but Quadrabox left a lasting impression. Quadrabox was choreographed and composed by Robert Benford and Martha Patridge. At the show I saw, the piece began with two groups of four dancers sitting in square formations on top of wooden boxes. The choreography itself reminded me of both hand clapping games that kids play for fun and of the art of stepping. This piece was interesting to watch because it was unconventional. It was not at all what I was expecting to see. When the piece began, I caught myself wondering if it really counted as dance. However, as it went on I realized that I was using too narrow of a definition. The fact that I am not used to seeing something does not discount it. The costumes, designed by Meredith R. Van Scoy, were kept very simple. The dancers wore black clothes and black or white shoes. This was most likely to ensure that the audience primarily focused on the intricate choreography. The music came from the beats the dancers made themselves with their clapping, stomping, and moving the boxes. This piece was exciting to me because in order for it to work, every single dancer had to be totally in sync with everyone else. Even one person

I get up, walk around and convince myself that I deserve 4 Hershey kisses. I sit back down in the chair and begin to think of my intentions for my newest piece. Will it be comical? Well written? Quality? I stare at my screen wondering why I haven t typed one. Single. Word. After 2 cups of coffee and a slight motivation, I sit, write, and do not stop until my paper is complete. I grow more and more irritated with my writing and am unable to read over it for a few days. The first time I read over my paper, I convince myself that wow this is the best thing you have ever written it is perfect do not change it. Give it a few more hours, reality sinks in and I begin to revise the first draft. The revision lasts about 4 minutes and I reassure myself that my paper does not need to be fixed. Once again, I am wrong. A few days go by and I am finally ready to put my full attention on this project. I struggle

Jekyll And Mr Hyde Essay French philosopher Michel Foucault once said If repression has indeed been the fundamental link between power, knowledge, and sexuality since the classical age, it stands to reason that we will not be able to free ourselves from it except at a considerable cost, . As stated in an outside source, A study in dualism: The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Mr. Hyde would seem easily recognizable as the id, seeking instant gratification, having an aggressive instinct, and having no moral or social mores that need be followed, (Singh and Chakrabarti 13). Mr. Hyde as seen multiple times throughout the novel, expresses one of the components of the id mentioned in the quotation. One example showing how he lives by no morals or values is when he kill Sir Danvers Carew. Hyde beat him to death out of impulse when he passed him late at night on the street. This murder also represents how Mr. Hyde shows aggression. Instant gratification is seen towards the end of the novel. In chapter 10 Jekyll says My devil had been long caged, he came out roaring, (Stevenson 92). Hyde could not withhold being repressed anymore and breaks out without Dr. Jekyll s potion. He does this because he is looking for pleasure. This relates to Freud s pleasure principle where it is Hyde s instinct to transform to be

Whether it is due to a pre existing condition, an emergency accident, or an upcoming surgery, blood is a key component to the success of many procedures. Without donations, it would be impossible to complete many life saving tasks, since there is no substitute for blood. However, perhaps the most famous conformity experiment was done by Solomon Asch (1951) and his line judgment experiment. The experiments also invesigated the effect the number of people present within the group had one the conformity rate. Asch hypothesized, that the majority of the people would not conform to something obviosly wrong; however, when surrounded by (other) individuals all voicing an incorrect answer, 75% of them(the participant) will conform to the groups answer (Watzlawick 1976) In the experiment solomon had two boards; one showing three lines of different lengths ( boardA) and another with one line( board B).
