Tablo And Joey Badass Hood Music Analysis
The climb to the top is sometimes more rewarding than the prizes at the top. The song Hood was
created in 2015 by Tablo and Joey Badass. Tablo and Joey Badass are from opposite sides of the world
and they also rap from opposite point of views. Tablo uses the narrative techniques to reference the
Korean philosophy Han in order to give the audience an idea of what motivates his character to keep
working hard. Badass uses narrative techniques when speaking about money because money equates
to success for many people and he wants to eliminate the idea that money destroys all evil. The tempo
at which each of the rappers raps symbolizes the positivity and the negativity of their respective topics
and the mood in which their character are in. The song highly motivates it listeners to reach their
greatest potential but also reminds them the journey to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to find a common ground, Tablo and Joey Badass use the bridge and the hook. In the bridge,
the two cultures come together when Badass and Tablo go back and forth with their lines as if you are
watching both perspectives at once. Tablo s Korean lines about the hardships and the struggle he is
facing as he tries to become successful in lines 58 and 60 compliment Joey Badass s repeating Good
lord help me because even though Joey Badass s character is speaking about his own life and how
fame is not that great, his lines are still relatable to Tablo s character considering all Tablo s character
wants is to be successful. Within the hook, Joey Badass calls out the lower class and his haters in the
line Middle fingers to you lames, you broke ass niggas you can t relate which can be interpret as a shot
towards Tablo s naïve character. It generates a conflicting mood of Tablo s character working
diligently but having no idea about how the circumstances change when he reaches Joey Badass s

Outline For The Handmaid s Tale
I. Title: The Handmaid s Tale: Through the Lenses of Psychoanalysis and Deconstruction
II. Introduction
A. When reading a work of fiction, multiple ways exist in which to interpet the meaning held within
the story.
B. Utilizing literary theories when reading fictional literature increases the understanding of the
meaning behind the language of the story.
1. Psychoanalysis, specifically Lacanian mirror stage, provides one interpretation surrounding the
identification of self.
2. Application of Jacques Derrida s deconstruction, while some aspects are borrowed from
psychoanalysis, functions differently to obtain the interpretation.
C. Thesis: Within Margaret Atwood s novel, The Handmaid s Tale, both Lacan s mirror stage and

Psychoanalysis Strength: Holland suggests we all read literature selectively, unconsciously projecting
our own fantasies into it and reshaping it to suit our individual identities (Rollin and West 12).
C. Analysis: Rollin and West state, If we acknowledge our personal involvement openly; if we make
clear the choices we have made and why we have made them, we have an opportunity to bring
ourselves to a poem, story, or play more completely than other theoretical systems allow (Rollin and
West 12).
D. Psychoanalysis Weakness: The inherent weakness surrounding Lacanian psychoanalytic theory is
in the basics of the theory formation. Lacan made selective use of citations for his theory and ignored
theories that may have unsubstantiated his claims. This lends itself to the realization of each
interpretation being solely related to the person doing the interpreting. (Billig 6)
E. Analysis: Findings associated with mirror stage theory are highly speculative and relative to the
individual reader; thus, no true fact can be gained from the literature.
F. Closing Sentence: Psychoanalysis, in general, provides a foundation on which to build theoretical
meaning of a literary work. However, as stated, the findings will be different to each person and
relevant only them. Each reader will have a different

The Treaty Of Nuclear Weapons
In March 1970, the Treaty of Nuclear Non proliferation came into existence. The treaty sought to
inhibit the widespread of the nuclear weapons. At this period, the treaty had one hundred and ninety
state parties. There was classification of the state parties into two categories. The first type was the
Nuclear Weapon States that consisted of China, France, United States, Russia and the United
Kingdom. The other category consisted of non nuclear weapons states. Under the agreement, the five
nuclear weapons states committed themselves to pursuing the general and the complete disarmament.
On the other hand, the non nuclear weapons states made an agreement of preceding the development
or the acquisition of the nuclear weapons.
However, despite the emergence of the treaty of the Nuclear Non Proliferation having been in
existence for almost fifty years, the worldwide threat of the nuclear weapons remains. In this
dissertation, the role of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty in the contemporary global system and
the effectiveness of the prevention of the spread of the nuclear weapons is examined. There is also
discussion about the comparison and contrast of two interpretations of the NPT.
The nuclear non proliferation treaty played the role of mobilization of the states to prevent the
multiplication of the nuclear weapons (Nye, 2005). The systems of the worldwide safeguards
prevented the diversion of the materials that were fissile into the weapons successfully. There was

The BCS National Championship Game Essay
From the first two national champions, Rutgers and Princeton, to last year s debateable Auburn
national championship winning team, college football has always had difficulties deciding national
champions. The BCS National Championship game was thought to give a less prejudice opinion on
which teams play in the championship game than humans did. However, it has stimulated more
controversy in college sports than Cal Stanford The Play. The problem with the BCS teams is, it
chooses two teams that are based on profit, popularity, and record. The BCS is in need of replacement
by a playoff system because with a playoff system college football teams have more of an opportunity
to show themselves.

Both of those teams finished with one loss on the season and finished first and fourth in the BCS polls,
Utah finished sixth. One third of the standings are also based on coach s polls this means that one third
of the standings are based off of bias people who don t watch every game each week, thus, making
them incapable of deciding who should be ranked and who shouldn t. A playoff system would
eradicate such controversy by allowing teams such as Utah to play in a playoff.
Surely, the NCAA and Division I A football can join the other 23 intercollegiate sports and devise a
system that determines a true champion, preserves the integrity of the game and levels the playing
field, LaVell Edwards, Former Brigham Young University Coach. This statement was made to the
Senate last summer by the only coach to win a national championship at Brigham Young. In every
other collegiate sport in the United States the champion is decided by a playoff system. Even the NFL,
NBA, MLB, and NHL the champion is decided by a playoff. The excuse that most of BCS executives
is that you cannot have one hundred twenty teams playing in a playoff. Nevertheless, the FCS
formerly Division 1 AA who has one hundred forty teams plays under a very effective 16 team playoff
format. The BCS has infringed themselves among college football due to the root of all sins, money.

his music still lives on inspiring rap music today. While his music and lyrics tell a story of the streets,
the once great rapper is now better known for the mysterious circumstances surrounding his 1996
death, just like the John F. Kennedy assassination before it. The murder of Tupac still remains one of
the greatest unsolved mysteries of the late 20th century. There are many theories about his death, some

The Inequality Of Canadian Society
Canadian society is divided into groups labeled as the upper, middle, and working class. These class
distinctions come from inequalities in wealth and that political parties tend to appeal to one class over
others once elected. In Canada the wealth gap in the socio economic classes comes from the tendency
of the controlling party to focus on the class to which most of its members belong. Socio economic
class divisions in Canadian society can therefore be explained through a state centered methodology
because the government controls the focus of class issues. As different political parties come and go
from government the policies change and some classes appear to receive priority. A couple parties
appeal to the working and lower middle class by distributing wealth through increased taxes and social
safety net expenditure. Others focus on the opposite and their policies benefit the upper and upper
middle class via coercion from corporations and banks. The inability and smaller size of lower classes
to stand up and influence government causes them to be overlooked. The fact that governments can
operate this way demonstrates their individual power in Canadian politics. Socio economic class
cleavages in Canada can be best explained through a state centered approach that the government
tends to appeal to one group over another because of internal biases towards certain classes.
Different governments appeal to different economic groups and which group they appeal to depends

My Brother s Child Protective Services
When my brother, Alex, was two years old, he was taken from my family because the hospital
wrongly accused my dad of shaking Alex at that time. This started with after my dad put Alex down
on our dining room table, still in his car seat unbuckled, and Alex wiggled his way out and fell to the
ground. After this incident, my parents rushed him to the hospital because he started to have seizures.
The nurses later found that my brother had suffered from shaken baby syndrome. They could only link
it to my dad leaving my brother unattended sitting on the dining room table, but earlier in that week
when Alex was in daycare at Primrose and he would not stop cry so the sitter started to shake him
thinking it would calm him down. Once the nurses found out why Alex was having seizures so
frequently they brought Child Protective Services in, to take my brother away and put him in a foster
home. My parents brought this up with the court and got my grandparents involved so they could gain
custody of Alex. They later won custody of him, after six months of fighting with the court. During
this time, since my parents were so focused on getting Alex back, I was either in the care of my
grandparents, daycare, or in school. I had not been aware that this was going on with my brother and
why I was getting so little attention. At this time I was four years old and was just along for the ride of
life. It had been a challenge for me because I did not know what was going on and I had to focus on

Internal Conflict In Sue Kidd s The Secret Life Of Bees
In the novel The Secret Life of Bees (2001), Sue Kidd creates a character, Terrence Ray Owens, that
serves as the epitome of internal conflict. Kidd is able to show Terrence s internal conflict through
through a flashback from Lily s friend August, and a series of violent actions inflicted on his daughter

show how forgiveness to oneself and others is truly the first step to finding happiness. It doesn t take
us the readers long to find out that T. Ray is an abusive parent, but it does take us a little longer to
discover why he is the way he his. Going in chronological order of the discoveries within the book, T.
Ray s main three sources of internal conflict which produces external conflict with his daughter is the
result of his background of war, his wife running away and eventually dying, and his daughter running
away as well. Working backwards, August s introduction into the book and the knowledge she has on
Lily s family divulges quite a lot about T. Ray than Lily is aware of. As we the readers find out, T. Ray

The Rise Of Pop Art
In the 1940s the United States and the allies were in the midst of a deadly war against their Nazi
German counterparts, World War II officially ended in 1945 and the Allies were victorious. In the
early 1950s the post war economic boom in both the United States of America and Great Britain, gave
the people optimism and money to spend as the super markets were filled with all kinds of consumer
goods . The economy was good and people were happy.
Capitalizing on the post war economic boom of the 1950s were advertisers. Advertising persuaded
many, it told people what was popular, what was good, and what to buy. Advertising and glossy
magazines were found everywhere, in the street, the highway, and even at the comfort of your own

of Pop Art. It paved the way for iconic artist such as Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns .
With the rise of this bona fide American phenomenon also brought critics. Critics asked and wondered
how a can of soup or a soft drink could be considered art. Pop artist, Andy Warhol responded by
stating, Art is what you can get away with. What made pop art popular? It was brash, transient, witty,

This kind of poetry represents beauty, love, nature, sensuality, drinking, and elegance. It is filled with

In 1598 Jonson had acquired sufficient reputation to be accounted by Francis Meres one of the best for

The Debate Over the Morality of the Death Penalty Essay
Senator for Utah Orrin Hatch once said, Capital punishment is our society s recognition of the sanctity
of human life, (Brainy Quote). While the arguments for both sides of the debate over the morality of
the death penalty are vast, the bottom line is that the death penalty does not disregard human life, but
rather it reveres it, as Hatch said. Morality is defined as, The quality of being in accord with standards
of right or good conduct, (The Free Dictionary). One who seeks to protect a person who has
committed a heinous crime such as murder is arguably not in accords with what is right and wrong.
Therefore, although killing is generally accepted as being wrong, the death penalty is sometimes the

Though electrocution, hanging, and being shot at by a firing squad would seem to have instant results,
it is possible for the person to suffer immensely if they are initially done wrong, for example, if the
shocks are not strong enough the first time, if the noose is not placed correctly, or if the heart is not
struck in the first round of shooting. As a result, the person may have to endure multiple jolts of shock,
suffocate gradually, or slowly bleed to death (DPIC). As for the gas chamber, unconsciousness does
not occur immediately and, According to former San Quentin, California, Penitentiary warden, Clifton
Duffy, At first there is evidence of extreme horror, pain, and strangling, (DPIC). Another argument is
that taking another life will not avenge the victim s family, as it will not bring their loved one back,
and Gandhi s famous saying, An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind, applies as well. Finally,
anti death penalty advocates may say that it is wrong to kill a mentally ill person, as it is widely
believed that anyone who would commit a crime worthy of the death penalty must have some kind of
disorder, because they are not fully in control of what they are doing and they are suffering too. At the
end of the day, adversaries of capital punishment believe that all life is sacred, including that of severe
criminals, and it should be preserved regardless of the circumstance.

How Computers Are Essential in Criminal Justice Field
how computers are essential in criminal justice field
Computers take part in a big role in the Criminal Justice Field. So far computers have allowed us to

Computers have enabled us to be able to do DNA testing. Which now only takes the labs a short time
to process, and finding criminals from cases 15+ years ago can now be charged for their actions. There

Passion refers to physical arousal and desire, sexual longing and a strong emotional need. Lastly,
commitment refers to the decision to denote oneself and maintaining it. Although the two have been
together for only 8 months now, they have exhibited the different elements at different points. One
good example is the point of spending time together at different stages. Samuel is present during her
stressful period like exams. All he does is grabs some snacks for her and reads a book while she
studies. This displays the commitment and dedication to the relationship. Although they have become
close and are connected emotionally, they have yet to become passionately involved or think about the
far future. I would classify them under the liking category and are high on intimacy as of now.

Crowd Protests
Crowd action was a common form of protest because the British could not do much when the
colonists banded together in large groups because it was hard to control them. The violence they
showed kept the leader powerless and it made them be forced to agree with what the mobs wanted.
Crowd protesting was a common thing to do back in colonial times. The British liked the idea of the
stamp act but did not like the protests. He said that he was out doing normal things when his house
was brutaly attacked. I wish colonial leaders could be convinced what terrible consequences there are
from such demons when they are let loose in a government where there is not constant authority at
hand to suppress them. This means he thought that the colonists

Modern families are becoming more of a norm in today s society as more and more children are being

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) That Protects Students
Many schools use an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) that protects students and teachers privacy. An
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is a policy that a user must agree to follow in order to be provided with

first time there is this long page, that most people do not read, that explains the computer of policy and
once you scroll down to the end of the page it asks you to agree and disagree. The long page just
explains the rights and responsibilities of both the computer and the users. The components of the

Advantages Of Informal Lodging
Informal lodging Instead of Hotels
Most explorers have caught wind of the advantages of staying at an informal lodging rather than a
customary inn. Yet, just a little rate of them really wind up staying at a quaint little inn. I used to be
one of those individuals who stayed away from the little family claimed foundations. Presently I am a
believer. I think you could turn into a believer to.
For quite a long time I was reluctant to stay at a neighborhood informal lodging when voyaging. I
figure I was one of those individuals who simply stayed with the easy win. You realize what an inn
will be similar to generally. You may discover one that has a more agreeable bed than another. You
may discover one that has amazing water weight and in this way a wonderful shower. The vast
majority of them have moderately clean rooms.

There is a vastly more private environment at a quaint little inn against that with respect to a major

and ladies. Since there are a predefined amount of individuals that a quaint little inn will have the
capacity to oblige chances are that you basically may keep running into kindred visitors also amid the
day or at breakfast.
It is very traditional to request informal lodging to serve a whole breakfast dinner in the morning that
all visitors will be urged to go to. The feast is typically incorporated into aROOM PRICE and that is
one motivation behind why this sort of overnight settlement is called as a quaint little inn. It is not
extraordinary these days for this kind of hotel are putting forth more than just breakfasts to the guests.

The Human Mark On The Environment
Sedentism and domestication represent not just a technological change but also a change in
worldview. Land was no longer a free good, available to anyone, with resources scattered randomly
across the landscape; it was transformed into particular territories, collectively or individually owned,
on which people raised crops and flocks. Thus, sedentism and a high level of resource extraction
(whether by complex foraging or farming) led to concepts of property that were rare in previous
foraging societies. Graves, grave goods, permanent housing, grain processing equipment, as well as
the fields and herds, connected people to places. The human mark on the environment was larger and
more obvious following sedentization and the rise of farming; people transformed the landscape in
more dramatic ways building terraces or walls to hold back floods.
One of the more dramatic effects of settling down was the change in female fertility and the rise in
population. A number of different effects together caused the population to grow.Among modern
foragers, a woman s pregnancies tend to be spaced three to four years apart because of the extended
period of breastfeeding characteristic of these societies. Extended means not just that children are
weaned at three to four years of age but that they still nurse whenever they feel like it, as frequently as
several times an hour (Shostak 1981, 67). This nursing stimulus triggers the secretion of a hormone
that suppresses ovulation (Henry

The Woman In Black Analysis
How does the author make the first encounter with the Woman in Black particularly ominous?
The author, Susan Hill, makes the first encounter with the Woman in Black distinctly foreboding by
her use of description, sound and Mr Kipps s apparent innocence. The Woman in Black is described as
suffering from some terrible wasting disease which makes her skin only the thinnest layer of flesh [...]
strained across her bones . Immediately, the reader is given some clue about her health. It seems, from
the description, that she is on the verge of death. This association with death instantly makes the
representation of the Woman in Black creepier. Phrases like sunken back and gaunt with disease are
used to warn the reader and stop them pitying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most people tend to pray at funerals, particularly in the Victorian era when religion was a highly
significant part of people s lives. She is also quite late, arriving halfway to the end of it and then
disappearing before the cortège. There is also the obvious factor that it seemed particularly strange
that a woman who was perhaps only a short time away from her own death, should drag herself to the
funeral of another . To a reader, this seems decidedly minatory, since it is incredibly unlikely that
someone about to breathe their last would go to Mrs Drablow s burial, especially as Mrs Drablow was
known for having no close friends or family and the only other people at her funeral (besides the
Parson) were her solicitors. Lastly, on the off chance she just didn t have a prayer book and actually
was Mrs Drablow s long lost relative or forgotten friend, as Mr Kipps clearly believed, she
disappeared with a slight rustle of clothing . Finally, there is Mr Kipps s reaction to his first encounter
with the Woman in Black. Of course he didn t know she was the Woman in Black; instead he saw her
as a young woman who was about to die but kind enough to see her friend off. Indeed, he vowed to
speak to her [to see if he] could be of any assistance . Susan Hill makes him pity the Woman in Black,
yet warns the reader with short sentences like Nor did she look old , followed by abnormally long
sentences, joined together with three or four commas, as if contradicting Mr Kipps s earlier thoughts
in a way that can only be interpreted fully by the

Deteriorating Roof
Eight Warning Signs of a Deteriorating Roof
Your home s roof protects you, your family, and your entire house from nature s elements. Like
anything else, a roof requires regular care and maintenance in order to function properly and last as
long as possible. But wear and tear is inevitable, and even the best constructed roof will wear out
eventually.
How Often To Inspect
Roof damage can be minimized through regular interior and exterior inspections to detect any minor
problems. Homeowners should complete a roof inspection at least two times a year spring and fall. It
also is a good idea to check your roof after a bad wind storm or an unusually harsh winter storm. High
winds can damage shingles, and large ice buildups can damage flashing and the roof ... Show more

Blistering Shingles
When moisture or gas builds up inside of a shingle, it can cause the surface to bubble outward, known
as blistering. Conditions that cause blistering can include a poorly ventilated attic, leaf or debris
buildup, or just natural roof aging. Intense sunlight exposure also can cause worsen a blistering
problem.
5. Damaged Flashing
Flashing is a layer of metal sheeting installed at an angle or joint in your roof which prevents water
from breaching the roof. The most common place to find flashing is around your chimney or sewer
vent pipe. Asphalt roof shingles require step flashing, which are individual pieces of flashing covering
each shingle and overlapping onto the shingle down slope. By using an individual piece of flashing for
each shingle or row of shingles, a water tight seal can be maintained over time, despite normal shingle
expansion and contraction from temperature swings.
6. Rotting
If your roof is rotting, the problem should be fairly obvious and must be addressed immediately. If
some shingles are rotting, the rest could follow soon. Rather than wasting time, energy and money
replacing many individual shingles, you should bite the bullet and replace them all.

Drunk Driving And Drunk Drivers
In 2013, 10,076 people were killed in drunk driving incidents. Out of those people, 65% (6,515) were
drivers, 27% (2,724) were passengers, and 8% (837) were non passengers ( Drunk Driving Statistics ).
Over half of those fatalities (67.1%) involved blood alcohol levels over .15% ( Drunk Driving
Statistics ). The legal blood alcohol content is .08%. Drunk driving caused 31% of deaths in car
crashes in 2013 ( Drunk Driving Statistics ). In 2012, 402 people were killed by alcohol impairment in
North Carolina ( Drunk Driving Statistics ). These numbers, though they seem astonishing, have been
cut in half since 1991 ( Drunk Driving Statistics ). Even though the number of fatalities has been
lowered, that number is not low enough. Most drunk drivers are repeat offenders. Lives are being
taken because of the careless attitude of the drunk drivers. Drunk driving is selfish; those who commit
this crime do not think about the extreme consequences of their actions. In North America it is
estimated that 1 5 drivers has been drinking and 1 in 10 is legally impaired on any Friday or Saturday
night (Root). Many groups, including MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), are fighting to stop
drunk driving. Unfortunately, drunk driving cannot be stopped. People will always commit this
heinous crime. The numbers may go down, but unfortunately there will always be a number. The only
way to continually decrease the amount of lives lost is to increase punishments for drunk driving.

A prepaid expense, such as rent or insurance, is a type of current asset. It is recorded by decreasing
Cash and increasing the prepaid amount by the same amount. Thus, the transaction only occurs in the
Asset section of the Balance Sheet, and it is a zero sum transaction.
What are the major differences in recording transactions for a for profit organization versus a not for
profit, or are there any? For profit organization would record certain transactions under Owner s
Equity, whereas the Not for Profit would use Net Assets. Also, a for profit would not show restrictions
on Owners Equity.

The Power Of Love In A Midsummer s Night Dream
Love is a powerful emotion, capable of turning the most rational people into crazed, irrational lovers.
In A Midsummer s Night Dream, Shakespeare centralizes his comedy around the theme of human love
as a powerful, transformative force. Through the use of a magical love potion, the characters within
the play are blinded by fierce passion and their sight is narrowed to see only what the lover selectively
chooses to see. As a result of the power of love, the sensible become irrational and emotions that stem
from love, such as jealousy and desperation, give birth to hysterical chaos. In A Midsummer s Night
Dream, Shakespeare presents love as an uncontrollable, indiscriminate, and transformative force that
prevents those infected with its power

Jon Krakauer s Into Thin Air
The particular descent ahead of those on the hill on May 10, 1996, resulted in the greatest loss of life
in the history of mountaineering on Everest. As news spread of the nine deaths (including that of Hall,
who spoke to his wife in New Zealand by radiophone as he lay stranded in a snowstorm on the summit
ridge), a barrage of questions resounded: What went wrong? Why was the approaching storm ignored?
And, most emphatically, why are tourists with more money than expertise being taken up Everest in
the first place?
Jon Krakauer was one of the survivors, and in Into Thin Air he relives the storm and its aftermath,
trying to answer those questions. As he sees it, essentially nothing went wrong, at least in terms of the
storm, which struck with little warning. Instead, the root of the problem lies in the famous explanation
George Mallory gave when asked why he wanted to climb the mountain, an explanation that still holds
true, albeit with a slight amendment. People climb Mount Everest because it and the money is there.
Mr. Krakauer was 42 at the time of the disastrous attempt on the highest peak in the Himalayas.

Real estate agents and economists love to extol the virtues of home ownership when interest rates are

Do your best to ignore the low rate hype. Sure, it s better to get a low rate mortgage than a high rate

money over and above your monthly payment and other expenses paid to maintain the property.
You Have Significant Non Mortgage Debt
Mortgages are usually thought of as being good debt . While that s often true, accumulating good debt
doesn t do anything to make your bad debt go away.
If you have a significant amount of bad debt credit cards, store charge accounts, car loans or other

Another type of debt almost synonymous with Millennials are student loans. Though generally

The Importance Of Community In Our Town By Thornton Wilder
Somewhere there is a town where everyone s best friend is their next door neighbor. Everyone here
would always stop and talk about what is going on, no matter who you are. Such community does
exist, but only in the small town of Grover s Corners, New Hampshire. The value and importance of
community is shown in Our Town by Thornton Wilder using repetition and pattern of events. A few
important times this is shown is the play is when Emily and George s disagreements with each other
help grow their relationship. When Howie Newsome greets neighbors while he delivers the milk
across town is a significant part of Grover s Corners community. Emily s death is also meaningful to
the community s connections to each other.
The value of community is shown when Emily would repeatedly argue with George but their
disagreements made their relationship better. One small disagreement between George and Emily
happened on their way home from school one day:
GEORGE. I don t mean the answers, Emily, of course not ... just some little hints ...
EMILY. Oh, I think hints are allowed. So ah if you get stuck, George, you whistle to me; and I ll give
you some hints. (29)
In this passage, Emily s hesitation shows she unsure if she is willing to help George with his work.
Emily does not affirm her disagreement with George mostly because she does not want him to
continue pleading for answers. Emily and George s arguments came up a few times throughout the
story:

Plastic Advantages And Disadvantages
Look at the things around us sunglasses, lunch boxes, ball point pen, and many kinds of products we
use every day; look at the garbage bags lie on the street, and the water bottle lies on the beach... many
things around us are made of plastic. As a result, plastic is one of the most used materials in our daily
lives. Admittedly plastic has some advantages; however, the disadvantages outweigh its advantages
because of it is hard to decompose, wastes resources and contains toxic and harmful substances. For
instance, plastic is very hard to degrade. The molecules in plastic are strong, so it is hard to break the
bond between atoms in it. Based on the scientific research, one plastic bag needs approximately 200
years to decompose into soil. It will lead to plenty of environmental problems. According to
Yamashita, Takada, Fukuwaka, and Watanuki, there is a marine pollution in the Pacific Ocean, which
kills a large amount of marine life. The researchers claimed the process of biomagnifications in which
is about small fish ingests plastic which concentrates with their bodies. When larger birds eat them,
they will absorb those toxic substances as well. As this process upgrades, human eats the species
which contains toxins, they will become sick as well. These are caused by overuse of PVC plastic. The
polluted area is fitting in the area that people use plastic products, and the pollution level in the Pacific
is in proportion to the amount of PVC plastic products. This concludes

Foreign Aid Essay
EFFECT OF FOREIGN AID IN KENYA
1. Introduction
Foreign aid is usually associated with official development assistance, which in turn is a subset of the
official development finance, and normally targeted to the poorest countries (World Bank, 1998).
Foreign aid represents an important source of finance in most countries in sub Saharan Africa (SSA),
where it supplements low savings, narrow export earnings and thin tax bases. In recent years the donor
community has become more stringent about fiscal discipline and good policies, which has led to
freezing of donor funds to governments that do not conform with aid conditionalities. The Kenyan
government has experienced such aid cuts in the past.
1.1 Definition
The standard definition of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A well designed aid plan can support effective institutions and governance by providing more
knowledge and transferring technology and skills. It is recommended to decentralize the aid flows in
recipient countries. Money aid is important but idea aid is even more important. Aid can be the
midwife of good policy in recipient countries. In poor policy countries, idea aid is especially more
essential than money aid. This implies that in a good policy environment, aid increases growth via the
investment channel whereas in a poor policy environment, it nurtures the reforms through
policymakers training or knowledge and technology transfer. These non money effects are believed
even more important and viable than the money value of aid. Aid works much better where the reform
is initiated or internalized by local government rather than when it is imposed by outsiders. Therefore,
aid is normally more effective when it facilitates efficiently and timely reforms triggered by the local
authority (World Bank, 1998).
Foreign aid or (development assistance) is often regarded as being too much, or wasted on corrupt
recipient governments despite any good intentions from donor countries. In reality, both the quantity
and quality of aid have been poor and donor nations have not been held to account. In 1970, the world
s rich countries agreed to give 0.7% of their gross national income as official international
development aid, annually. Since

For centuries, Venezuela and Colombia have been home to the unique genre of traditional music called
joropo that was believed to have originated in the 18th century within rural settings. Characterized by
its African, European and indigenous influences, the term joropo was first used to describe dances and
festive events such as parties, family reunions and picnics. Joropo spread across Venezuela and
Colombia thus various regions adopted a slightly different style of joropo. Joropo llanero, for

Introduction: The diet coke and Mentos experiment has been a favorite of amateur scientists, but how

a physical reaction, called nucleation. Nucleation sites are areas that have high surface with low
volume. Such places can be your fingerprint, scratches on glass, specks of dust, or even Mentos candy
(Eepy Bird). Mentos candies have a pitted surface that s rough when looked at through a microscope,

between the diet and regular soda? How does this affect the size of the fountain? The difference
between diet and regular soda is that diet soda uses artificial sweeteners, like aspartame for example.
This affects the fountain because low surface tension helps bubbles grow quickly. The surface tension
in water containing aspartame is lower than sugary water, which explains why diet soda creates a

information and data that is available for public discretion and evaluation. People remain ignorant

  • 11. The Inequality Of Canadian Society Canadian society is divided into groups labeled as the upper, middle, and working class. These class distinctions come from inequalities in wealth and that political parties tend to appeal to one class over others once elected. In Canada the wealth gap in the socio economic classes comes from the tendency of the controlling party to focus on the class to which most of its members belong. Socio economic class divisions in Canadian society can therefore be explained through a state centered methodology because the government controls the focus of class issues. As different political parties come and go from government the policies change and some classes appear to receive priority. A couple parties appeal to the working and lower middle class by distributing wealth through increased taxes and social safety net expenditure. Others focus on the opposite and their policies benefit the upper and upper middle class via coercion from corporations and banks. The inability and smaller size of lower classes to stand up and influence government causes them to be overlooked. The fact that governments can operate this way demonstrates their individual power in Canadian politics. Socio economic class cleavages in Canada can be best explained through a state centered approach that the government tends to appeal to one group over another because of internal biases towards certain classes. While the arguments for both sides of the debate over the morality of the death penalty are vast, the bottom line is that the death penalty does not disregard human life, but rather it reveres it, as Hatch said. Morality is defined as, The quality of being in accord with standards of right or good conduct, (The Free Dictionary). As a result, the person may have to endure multiple jolts of shock, suffocate gradually, or slowly bleed to death (DPIC). As for the gas chamber, unconsciousness does not occur immediately and, According to former San Quentin, California, Penitentiary warden, Clifton Duffy, At first there is evidence of extreme horror, pain, and strangling, (DPIC). Finally, anti death penalty advocates may say that it is wrong to kill a mentally ill person, as it is widely believed that anyone who would commit a crime worthy of the death penalty must have some kind of disorder, because they are not fully in control of what they are doing and they are suffering too. • 26. The Human Mark On The Environment Sedentism and domestication represent not just a technological change but also a change in worldview. Land was no longer a free good, available to anyone, with resources scattered randomly across the landscape; it was transformed into particular territories, collectively or individually owned, on which people raised crops and flocks. Thus, sedentism and a high level of resource extraction (whether by complex foraging or farming) led to concepts of property that were rare in previous foraging societies. Graves, grave goods, permanent housing, grain processing equipment, as well as the fields and herds, connected people to places. The human mark on the environment was larger and more obvious following sedentization and the rise of farming; people transformed the landscape in more dramatic ways building terraces or walls to hold back floods. One of the more dramatic effects of settling down was the change in female fertility and the rise in population. A number of different effects together caused the population to grow.Among modern foragers, a woman s pregnancies tend to be spaced three to four years apart because of the extended period of breastfeeding characteristic of these societies. Extended means not just that children are weaned at three to four years of age but that they still nurse whenever they feel like it, as frequently as several times an hour (Shostak 1981, 67). To a reader, this seems decidedly minatory, since it is incredibly unlikely that someone about to breathe their last would go to Mrs Drablow s burial, especially as Mrs Drablow was known for having no close friends or family and the only other people at her funeral (besides the Parson) were her solicitors. Also, I have answered the following questions: Explain the difference between the accrual basis of accounting and the cash basis of accounting. What are the major reasons for using accrual accounting? What are the purpose of a journal and a ledger? Give an example of a contra asset, and explain how it is recorded on the ledger as a transaction. Explain what a prepaid expense is and how it is recorded on the ledger as a transaction. What are the major differences in recording transactions for a for profit organization versus a not for profit, or are there any? List and record each transaction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A prepaid expense, such as rent or insurance, is a type of current asset. It is recorded by decreasing Cash and increasing the prepaid amount by the same amount. Thus, the transaction only occurs in the Asset section of the Balance Sheet, and it is a zero sum transaction. What are the major differences in recording transactions for a for profit organization versus a not for profit, or are there any? For profit organization would record certain transactions under Owner s Equity, whereas the Not for Profit would use Net Assets. Also, a for profit would not show restrictions on Owners Equity. List and record each transaction for S. Zee Outpatient Clinic under the accrual basis of accounting at December 31, 20X1, then develop a balance sheet as of December 31, 20X1, and a statement of operations for the year ended December 31, 20X1. • 32. The Power Of Love In A Midsummer s Night Dream Love is a powerful emotion, capable of turning the most rational people into crazed, irrational lovers. In A Midsummer s Night Dream, Shakespeare centralizes his comedy around the theme of human love as a powerful, transformative force. Through the use of a magical love potion, the characters within the play are blinded by fierce passion and their sight is narrowed to see only what the lover selectively chooses to see. As a result of the power of love, the sensible become irrational and emotions that stem from love, such as jealousy and desperation, give birth to hysterical chaos. • 33. Jon Krakauer s Into Thin Air The particular descent ahead of those on the hill on May 10, 1996, resulted in the greatest loss of life in the history of mountaineering on Everest. As news spread of the nine deaths (including that of Hall, who spoke to his wife in New Zealand by radiophone as he lay stranded in a snowstorm on the summit ridge), a barrage of questions resounded: What went wrong? Why was the approaching storm ignored? And, most emphatically, why are tourists with more money than expertise being taken up Everest in the first place? Jon Krakauer was one of the survivors, and in Into Thin Air he relives the storm and its aftermath, trying to answer those questions. As he sees it, essentially nothing went wrong, at least in terms of the storm, which struck with little warning. Instead, the root of the problem lies in the famous explanation George Mallory gave when asked why he wanted to climb the mountain, an explanation that still holds true, albeit with a slight amendment. People climb Mount Everest because it and the money is there. Mr. Krakauer was 42 at the time of the disastrous attempt on the highest peak in the Himalayas. Among them were a gentlemanly lawyer from Michigan, a 56 year old Australian anesthesiologist, a 47 year old Japanese woman (who was bagging the highest peaks on each continent and would be left behind on this one) and an American postal worker who had almost conquered Everest the previous year. • 34. Real Estate Agents And Economists Real estate agents and economists love to extol the virtues of home ownership when interest rates are low. In fact, they tend to see periods of low interest rates as the very best time to buy a home for just about everyone. Do your best to ignore the low rate hype. Sure, it s better to get a low rate mortgage than a high rate one, but mortgage rates should never be the primary reason driving you to buy a house. It s even possible that chasing low rates can cause you to lose money. How in the world can that possibly happen? If you have a significant amount of bad debt credit cards, store charge accounts, car loans or other forms of debt adding a mortgage to the list could prove to be an unsustainable burden. Another type of debt almost synonymous with Millennials are student loans. Though generally considered to be good debt themselves, they are nonetheless debt no matter how you classify them, and add to your cost of living. Before considering buying a home, carefully evaluate your existing debt situation. • 35. The Importance Of Community In Our Town By Thornton Wilder Somewhere there is a town where everyone s best friend is their next door neighbor. Everyone here would always stop and talk about what is going on, no matter who you are. Such community does exist, but only in the small town of Grover s Corners, New Hampshire. The value and importance of community is shown in Our Town by Thornton Wilder using repetition and pattern of events. A few important times this is shown is the play is when Emily and George s disagreements with each other help grow their relationship. When Howie Newsome greets neighbors while he delivers the milk across town is a significant part of Grover s Corners community. Emily s death is also meaningful to the community s connections to each other. The value of community is shown when Emily would repeatedly argue with George but their disagreements made their relationship better. One small disagreement between George and Emily happened on their way home from school one day: GEORGE. I don t mean the answers, Emily, of course not ... just some little hints ... EMILY. Oh, I think hints are allowed. So ah if you get stuck, George, you whistle to me; and I ll give you some hints. (29) In this passage, Emily s hesitation shows she unsure if she is willing to help George with his work. Emily does not affirm her disagreement with George mostly because she does not want him to continue pleading for answers. Plastic Advantages And Disadvantages Look at the things around us sunglasses, lunch boxes, ball point pen, and many kinds of products we use every day; look at the garbage bags lie on the street, and the water bottle lies on the beach... many things around us are made of plastic. As a result, plastic is one of the most used materials in our daily lives. Admittedly plastic has some advantages; however, the disadvantages outweigh its advantages because of it is hard to decompose, wastes resources and contains toxic and harmful substances. For instance, plastic is very hard to degrade. The molecules in plastic are strong, so it is hard to break the bond between atoms in it. Based on the scientific research, one plastic bag needs approximately 200 years to decompose into soil. It will lead to plenty of environmental problems. According to Yamashita, Takada, Fukuwaka, and Watanuki, there is a marine pollution in the Pacific Ocean, which kills a large amount of marine life. The researchers claimed the process of biomagnifications in which is about small fish ingests plastic which concentrates with their bodies. When larger birds eat them, they will absorb those toxic substances as well. As this process upgrades, human eats the species which contains toxins, they will become sick as well. These are caused by overuse of PVC plastic. The polluted area is fitting in the area that people use plastic products, and the pollution level in the Pacific is in proportion to the amount of PVC plastic products. This concludes ... • 37. Foreign Aid Essay EFFECT OF FOREIGN AID IN KENYA 1. Introduction Foreign aid is usually associated with official development assistance, which in turn is a subset of the official development finance, and normally targeted to the poorest countries (World Bank, 1998). Foreign aid represents an important source of finance in most countries in sub Saharan Africa (SSA), where it supplements low savings, narrow export earnings and thin tax bases. In recent years the donor community has become more stringent about fiscal discipline and good policies, which has led to freezing of donor funds to governments that do not conform with aid conditionalities. The Kenyan government has experienced such aid cuts in the past. 1.1 Definition The standard definition of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A well designed aid plan can support effective institutions and governance by providing more knowledge and transferring technology and skills. It is recommended to decentralize the aid flows in recipient countries. Money aid is important but idea aid is even more important. Aid can be the midwife of good policy in recipient countries. In poor policy countries, idea aid is especially more essential than money aid. This implies that in a good policy environment, aid increases growth via the investment channel whereas in a poor policy environment, it nurtures the reforms through policymakers training or knowledge and technology transfer. These non money effects are believed even more important and viable than the money value of aid. Aid works much better where the reform is initiated or internalized by local government rather than when it is imposed by outsiders. Therefore, aid is normally more effective when it facilitates efficiently and timely reforms triggered by the local authority (World Bank, 1998). Foreign aid or (development assistance) is often regarded as being too much, or wasted on corrupt recipient governments despite any good intentions from donor countries. In reality, both the quantity and quality of aid have been poor and donor nations have not been held to account. In 1970, the world s rich countries agreed to give 0.7% of their gross national income as official international development aid, annually. Since ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Joropo Dance Essay For centuries, Venezuela and Colombia have been home to the unique genre of traditional music called joropo that was believed to have originated in the 18th century within rural settings. Characterized by its African, European and indigenous influences, the term joropo was first used to describe dances and festive events such as parties, family reunions and picnics. Joropo spread across Venezuela and Colombia thus various regions adopted a slightly different style of joropo. There have been debates, and scientists have concluded that the diet coke and Mentos is a physical reaction, called nucleation. Nucleation sites are areas that have high surface with low volume. Such places can be your fingerprint, scratches on glass, specks of dust, or even Mentos candy (Eepy Bird). Mentos candies have a pitted surface that s rough when looked at through a microscope, therefore creating a wonderful place for nucleation to occur. How does this affect the size of the fountain? The difference between diet and regular soda is that diet soda uses artificial sweeteners, like aspartame for example. This affects the fountain because low surface tension helps bubbles grow quickly. The surface tension in water containing aspartame is lower than sugary water, which explains why diet soda creates a bigger fountain thatn regular soda (NewScientist). 4.
