What Is The Vanishing Point Of View Of The Last Supper
The Last Supper is a painting made by Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. The painting was
completed on February 9th, 1498 and is located in the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie in
Milan. The Renascence masterpiece depicts Christ s final supper with his apostles before being
arrested by the authorities. The use of perspective in the mural is prominent and easily appreciated.
Leonardo used one point perspective because all of the lines in the painting convert at the top of Christ
s head, which is considered the vanishing point. The horizon line extends from both sides of the
vanishing point and thus goes through the top of some apostles heads. He also employs aerial
perspective, or depth by atmosphere, as he uses dull colors

Premarital Sex Reflection Paper
Before this class I thought about the topics we covered in a broad sense and probably not very often.
After taking this class I was forced to look deeper into each topic, and while I disagree with some
things, I am glad I will be able to hold a conversation about why I disagree. I am born and raised
Catholic so I know what view I am supposed to have on each topic, but I d catch myself feeling guilty
because my views were more often than not slightly different than the Church s teachings. I needed to
remind myself that it is okay I have a different opinion, as long as I accept the Church s opinion as
well. Of the topics we talked about, I found cohabitation as the most important/interesting and I found
contraception as the most controversial. In this paper I will focus on contraception in premarital sex
which can also be happening in cohabiting relationships, so it in a way all connects. I have been dating
my boyfriend Jarod for almost six and a half years now and he recently asked me where I was going to
live after I was done with college. He was not so subtly trying to ask me what my opinion would be on
us living together. My first thought was no I want to wait until I get married and I know that is what
my parents want as well, but as I thought about it, it really began to make sense why he would ask. It
is not cheap to live on your own, and while I would just continue living at my parents, his parents are
ready for him to move out. I told him maybe if we were engaged

I Am Joaquin Poem Analysis
During the 1960 s, the Civil Rights Movement wasn t the only one occurring. Struggling to assimilate
into American culture, and suppressed by social injustices convicted by their Anglo counterparts, the
Chicano movement was born. In the epic poem I am Joaquin written by Rodolfo Gonzales in 1969, we
dive into what it means to be a Chicano. Through this poem, we see the struggles of the Chicano
people portrayed by the narrator, in an attempt to grasp the American s attention during the time of
these movements. Hoping to shed light on the issues and struggles the Chicano population faced,
Gonzales writes this epic in an attempt to strengthen the movement taking place, and to give Chicanos
a sense of belonging and solidarity in this now ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many times, these Chicanos were pushed off their lands and forced to try and survive elsewhere. I
owned land as far as the eye could see under the Crown of Spain, and I toiled on my earth and gave
my Indian sweat and blood for the Spanish master who ruled tyranny over man and beast and all that
he could trample. But... THE GROUND WAS MINE. This is what life was like before the Spanish
American War and before the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. This was life before Chicanos were
pushed off their land because Anglos fought the documents in court. This is before the treaty that was
supposed to protect their rights fell through. This is when life was hard, but it was a life they knew and
a struggle they lived with. Although Chicanos have endured many struggles, this is one they want to
fight for. Chicanos faced another problem along with their land being taken and being treated as
second class citizens. Assimilating into American culture was difficult. Do you keep in touch with the
roots of your homeland or do you change and adapt to the new ways of American culture? This was a
struggle for Chicanos and it was difficult to adapt. A new language and a new culture in a place they
once called their home. Some people tried to fit into both cultures, putting them into somewhere else
entirely. This didn t help their sense of belonging, and ultimately casted them farther as outsiders than
before.

Inequality in Work Insecurity
Inequality in Work Insecurity Name Institutional Affiliation Name: Inequality in Work Insecurity
What is the difference between inequality and insecurity and how can these phenomena be explained
theoretically? In life, we often hear about insecurity. This word has been used to describe individuals
who do not inhibit confidence, they wear emotions on their sleeves and are armored with eh concept
of pleasing other people. Insecurity has been described as a feeling of insecurity. The state of mind has
been characterized by vulnerability and self doubt. This suggests that insecurity is a feeling of being
unsafe. Insecure people tend to have a feeling that they are a target of harm or hurt (Chirkov, Ryan
Models of Preference Change, 2011). A deeper elaboration states that insecurity is a fear of not being
safe. Many people are of the opinion that insecurity is a psychological state, lack of confidence and
immaturity. Insecure people always feel that they are targets of rejection, and expect to be failures in
life. They are always afraid of risks. All this can sabotage any leader. On the other hand, whereas
insecurity means a lack of self confidence, inequality refers to a disparity and a lack of opportunity,
treatment, and status because of the differences. In addition, inequality means not being even, lacking
smoothness, and being irregular. Synonyms associated with inequality include prejudice,
disproportional, diversity and bias (Elliott Atkinson, 1999). Marxist

Irony In Shakespeare s Much Ado About Nothing
New York City, 10:30 pm. It is another packed night at the Comedy Cellar on Macdougal Street, siting
in the audience is a group who has just walked in from the bustle of the big city. Naturally, the stress
of daily life hangs like a tangible fog, and peoples spirits rise in hope to forget about their own
problems and laugh their worry away. A grumpy, fat, balding, middle aged man saunters on stage and
makes some witty remark about how life sucks. In many ways he is right, everyone laughs, people
relate to his struggles. Life is hard, and when flaws get exaggerated, it s hilarious. This is what
Shakespeare does in his comedy Much Ado About Nothing, by making extreme simplifications and
drawing on human imperfections, it becomes easy to find ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Where is the line defining how much trust you should have in another persons word? In the case of
Beatrice and Benedict, their trust in the admonition of their peers led them to be manipulated and their
thoughts were tainted. However, their deception turned out to catalyst true love. As soon as their love
virus spread, the two witty, independent individuals completely dismissed the disdain that they so
grudgingly held for one another. This satiric event exposes the idea that quite possibly one should
spend a bit more time processing and questioning information handed to them. Beatrice and Benedict
fell into the influence of the conspirators and all previous ideas of one another dissipated. In my
personal opinion, I would have a bit more trouble than Beatrice when falling for a man who referred to
her as Lady Disdain and who compared her intellectual, tenacious wit to a horse (pg. 12). So either the
people of Shakespeare s time didn t hold grudges, or he is making fun of people who will give up all
prior knowledge in the interest of love. (It s the second part, if you were confused.) The desperate will
that all humans have for love is powerful, and Shakespeare is criticizing the ease that people have at
shutting their third eye (knowledge) when blinded by

Roman Slaves
The ends aimed at in building Negro cabins should be: first, the health and comfort of the occupants;
second the convenience of nursing, surveillance, discipline, and the supply of food and water; and
thirdly, economy of construction...their houses should be provided with large glass windows. Light
and air are necessary to the proper making of blood.
Even though the conditions appear favorable, these instructions are not to be mistaken for kindness.
Seeing that the average cost of a slave in the American South in 1850 was equivalent to $40,000 in
today s dollars, slaves were an economic investment for the master. Keeping them well kept was
necessary so their labor will pay their cost off while eventually turning into profit.

First, there needs to be distinguished whether Ancient Rome, Nineteenth Century American South,
and contemporary Dubai are slave societies or societies with slaves. According to historian Ira Berlin,
a society with slaves is A society which slavery exists but slavery is not the dominant labor system.
Systems have family labor, a system of the indentured servitude, systems of wage labor to compete
with the slavery. Slavery is just one of the many forms of labor. However, slave societies on the other
hand are Systems in which slavery being the dominant form of labor that shapes every other social
relationship in that society . Using these definitions, it can be determined that the Nineteenth Century
American South was a slave society while Ancient Rome and contemporary Dubai can be categorized
as societies with slaves. The American South relied nearly solely on race based labor for plantations
and this subordinate relationship further perpetuated post emancipation with black codes and Jim
Crow laws. However, while slavery was persistent in Ancient Rome, it did not affect other social
relationships in the society and it was not racially

The company also popularized the notion of take out food, with their slogan Less work for Mother .
Modern commercial fast food is highly processed and prepared on a large scale from bulk ingredients
using standardized cooking and production methods and equipment. It is usually rapidly served in
cartons or bags or in a plastic wrapping, in a fashion which reduces operating costs by allowing rapid
product identification and counting, promoting longer holding time, avoiding transfer of bacteria, and
facilitating order fulfilment. In most fast food operations, menu items are generally made from
processed ingredients prepared at a central supply facilities and then shipped to individual outlets
where they are cooked (usually by grill, microwave, or deep frying) or assembled in a short amount of
time either in anticipation of upcoming orders (i.e., to stock ) or in response to actual orders (i.e., to
order ). Following standard operating procedures, pre cooked products are monitored for freshness and
disposed of if holding times become excessive. This process ensures a consistent level of product
quality, and is key to delivering the order quickly to the customer and avoiding labour and equipment
costs in the individual stores.
To make quick service possible and to ensure accuracy and security, many fast food restaurants have
incorporated hospitality point of sale systems. This makes it possible for kitchen crew people to view

Components Of The Performance Management
Several components of the performance likewise strategic planning and management, accountability

performance and the break up of bureaucratic personnel management. 4. Disaggregation of units in the
public sector, Unbundling of organisations to create decentralized units operating at arm length . 5.
Greater competition in the public sector, Move to term contracts and public tendering procedures. 6.
Stress on public sector style of management practice Move away from traditional public service ethics
in terms of hiring and rewards. 7. Stress on greater discipline and parsimony in resource

Helen And Dinah In The Iliad Essay
The Influential Roles of Helen and Dinah in the Iliad and the Book of Genesis
Lauren Collins
Professor Whidden
Prompt #2
22 September 2017 In the book of Genesis and in Homer s Iliad, women unintentionally instigate
events with profound effects. There are many parallels and distinctions between Dinah s and Helen s
roles, losses, and power, which illiminate the underlying theme of women wielding influence in
patriarchal societies. The characters of Dinah and Helen, in Genesis and the Iliad, respectively, show
how one mere woman can create a ripple and cause drastic events to transpire.
Dinah s small role in her environment reveals how she is used and seen as a possession of men.
Genesis introduces Dinah as the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob (Gen 34:1), and
people call her Dinah daughter of Jacob (Gen 34:3). Dinah cannot stand alone in her civilization and
depends upon her father; men define Dinah. She also does not receive any recognition as independent
in her society. Rather, she functions as an object of her father Jacob. Dinah s ... Show more content on

Dinah does not play a direct role in her community, yet when her brothers learn about her rape they
were indignant and very angry (Gen 34:7). They then deceitfully (Gen 34:13) created and executed a
plan to circumcise the Shechemite males and, once weakened, execute them (Gen 34:13 30). The
brothers avenged Dinah because of their immense love and admiration for her. Even as a victim of
rape and a possession of Jacob, Dinah has unknown power and power. The love and sympathy her
brothers have for Dinah instigates the brothers actions and results in the deaths of many Shechemite
males (Whidden Disc, 9/13/17). Through this unbeknownst power, many people die and Dinah s male
companions are provoked to take action on behalf of her. Dinah s persona became a very powerful

Political, Legal, And Political System
Like any other country in the world, China has three main formal institutions which are the political,
legal, and economic systems. These formal institutions consist of certain laws, regulations, and rules.
The institutional changes in political systems, legal systems, and market structures are planned to help
Chinese firms as well as foreign firms like Nike to operate in a more supportive institutional
environment (Hitt and Kai 2015). A political system refers to the rules of the game on how a country
is governed politically. China s political system is a communist totalitarianism. According to the
Chinese Constitution, The People s Republic of China is a socialist state under the people s democratic
dictatorship led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants. (Georgine
2010). With 85 million dues paying members, just over 6% of China s population of 1.35 billion, the
Communist Party of China (CPC) is the largest political party in the world (Lawrence 2013). Some of
the pressures and constraints of Nike in China could rise because of the differences in a political
system compared to the United States. But by being aware of the law and regulations Nike can be able
to have a successful business in cChina. The legal system refers to the rules of the game on how a
country s laws are enacted and enforced. The Chinese legal system is a socialist system of law based
primarily on the Civil Law model (Zhang 2016). The civil law was derived from Roman

professional designation for accountants in the United States. This certification allows accountants to
prove their profound expertise and knowledge in accounting field upon successful competition of a set
of requirements and ultimately certifying them as qualified accountants. Among other distinguished
certificates available to professional accountants that would be just as beneficial for their accounting
career depending on personal preference are: Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA),
Certificate in Financial Forensics (SFF), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). As far as my personal
career achievements go, obtaining the CPA certificate is my immediate goal; pursuing the CGMA
certificate is part of my ideal plan.
CPA Membership Requirements In order to be licensed in the state of Virginia, a CPA candidate needs
to meet a few requirements set forth by Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA). According to
VBOA, an applicant must first meet the 3 E s which are Education, Exam, and Experience.
Prior to sitting for the CPA exam, a candidate should prove to have the required educational
credentials. Having higher education with a minimum of 120 semester hours would qualify an
applicant to sit for the CPA exam. However, to ultimately obtain the CPA certificate, recent changes in

How Is Halloween Informative Speech
How many of you guys know the history of Halloween or the different celebrations they have around
the world regarding Halloween? I will be discussing a brief history of Halloween we know of today
and the different ways Halloween is celebrated around the world. Like in the U.S, Mexico and Japan.
According to History.com, Halloween originated about 2000 years ago on Nov. 1 with the ancient
Celtics festival of Samhain (sah win) that was located in Ireland. The Celts would leave wine and
bread outside of their homes for the dead because they believed that on October 31st the dead would
arise and roam as ghost. So when people would step out of their house on that day, they would put on
masks to try and blend in with them. In the 8th century (701 800) they changed Samhain day to All

Saints Day and November 2nd is known as El Dia de los Muertos / All Souls day. To honor the dead,
families make an altar in their home and decorate it with candy, flowers, photographs, water and the
deceased s favorite foods and drinks. Candles are burned to help the departed find their way home. On
November 2, Friends and family then visit the tombstones of the deceased to honor them by cutting
the grass surrounding their grave, making repairs to their tombstones, and by painting it. They then
decorate the grave with flowers, paper streamers or wreaths. They bring picnics and sit around the
gravesites sharing stories of the departed and eating foods such as spicy meat dishes, batter bread and
lots of sweets; some shaped like skulls. It is common for get togethers to include tequila and mariachi.
Towns also throw parades and people dress as skeletons and dance in the streets. Some families attend
candle lit ceremonies in church and offer prayers. The whole celebration is about life from beginning

Bottled Water Consumption
In 2010, bottled water consumption within the U.S. was around 28 gallons per person. As a beverage
category, bottled water represented $10.6 billion in annual sales. This category has grown at an
impressive rate. In fact the value of the U.S. bottled water market doubled in less than a decade.
The success of this product represents a success for marketing. In this discussion thread we will
examine some of the reasons for its success.
Issues to Discuss:
1. Describe the target market for this bottled water. How does bottled water create value for target
market consumers?
Target market refers to a group or customer segment that a firm is interested in selling its product or
services. This is a two way relationship as the potential must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The shape of the bottle is shaped as a glacier that resembles an ice formation that is different on each
face of the bottle, which is supposed to symbolize the ever changing nature of a glacier. When it
comes to product and distribution Icelandic is carbon neutral which is important because mineral
water receives a lot of criticism for leaving a carbon footprint. Icelandic has secured large deals with
companies like Anheuser Bush that help with distribution. They price their water at the upper end of
the range of mineral water which positions their product as premium water. Icelandic promotes their
product at large events such as the Cannes Film Festival and by targeting at such events it creates an
awareness for their brand.
3. Bottled water has come under attack from environmental groups for the amount of waste created by
the bottles. How do you feel this concern about packaging waste will impact sales? How could the
marketing mix elements be used to address this concern?
Sales have seen a negative impact and studies have shown that between 2007 and 2010 Nestle water
the largest water bottler worldwide saw a 12.7 percent decline in sales. According to the
foodandwaterwatcg.org website, bottled water comes with unnecessary costs to the customer as well

Personalized Learning Is Bad For Students
Why Personalized Learning Is Bad For Students
The debate of personalized learning has risen up in school districts all across the United States.
Hearing about the personalization of learning, which is a structured curriculum solely based on the
students needs. Teachers soon turn into tutors, helping each individual student with their own struggles
and questions. Since each student has their own schedule, classrooms aren t conducted in the same
manner students are glued to their own computers in the classroom. This means no projects, no field
trips and no learning methods to grasp the students attention and get them on bored with learning.
With that said, not one learning method is guaranteed to suit all students. Supposedly, personalized ...

based on the downfalls of personalized learning, the teacher responded with feel the down fall of
summit is that a student does not get to benefit from class discussions and dialogue. Just because a
student can pass a focus area (10 multiple choice questions) doesn t mean that they have mastered the
content. Students don t go deep with the material, it s all superficial. (N.d., 2018) The teacher, who
requested to be anonymous, thought that even if students would pass a short ten question quiz, they
still haven t mastered the topic. The teacher believed their students only scratched the surface of what
they needed to know for state testing. Later on in the interview, when asked to see if personalized
learning was the best choice for students, the teacher said that even with the material specifically

Ross, Lepper Hubbard performed an experiment designed to showcase the perseverance phenomenon
by having 60 high school females read suicide notes and judge whether they were real or fictitious.
Whether or not the girls would perform above average (24 out of 25 correct), average (17 out of 25
correct) or below average (around 10 out of 25 correct) was decided by the researchers prior to the
actual experiment. When the girls were informed how they did, they were then debriefed and told it
actually had nothing to do with ability. The researchers apologized but asked the women to fill out a
survey rating how well they did compared to the outcome the researcher assigned them to, how many
answers they thought an average student would get right on this and then how well they would do if
they were given an equal task a second time around. They found that the girls who were told they did
exceptionally well still rated themselves as capable of performing to those standards and their overall
satisfaction was higher on the questionnaire. Opposite of that, the women who were told they did
poorly continued to rate their abilities as poorer even after debriefing took place. Their assessment of
performance or ability on the self survey showed the perseverance effect taking place: though they
were told they were given false information, they still continued to behave in a manner parallel to that
original claim. This is seen when Michael becomes frustrated at numerous attempts from the office

County Commission Definition
The county commission is pretty neat. They decide what our taxes go towards and try to improve our
lives as citizens of West Virginia. Also they give us parks and parks are good for tag. Most of the

my county commission do for me? The taxes we pay go towards making the state better as a whole.
The county commission is there to make sure our taxes are not wasted. If we have more parks and

jobs help make West Virginia the best it can be. If the county commission can create jobs, then more

The Pros And Cons Of Computer Privacy
Our public, both worldwide and national, depends intensely on computers in innumerable aspects of
its everyday operation. This improvement in technology makes it easy for the cooperations to collect
people s personal data through their online activities. People pay more and more attention to Internet
privacy, They do not want their data to be unauthorized accessed by anyone at anytime. The United
State government issued the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act to solve this online privacy problem. In
United State, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act develop quickly, but still, require further revises.
In the 1980s, only minority of people have the computer, committing a computer crime needed
sophisticated programing skills. Because of the unpopular of the computer, people did not think
misuse of the Internet will lead to bad consequence or become a kind of crime. Cooperations or
government can easily steal or trespass anyone s account because people think crime always related to
the physical interaction of personal property. Quick forward for about thirty years, this is another
story. The Internet has been used for every day nearly every home. After the legislators realized the
threat of hackers and other intrusions of online data, the Congress of US created a category called

F. 30 Insomnia Case Study Student
Mr. M, a 54 year old man is taken to a sleep disorder facility for examination of daytime somnolence
and insomnia. He has been battling with anxiety and depression, a disorder he is being treated with.
He reports that he has been suffering from Insomnia for several years and only turned worse about 7
years ago. He is troubled with sleep initiation, which usually takes him over one hour to fall asleep. As
soon as he is asleep, he wakes up several times, which makes him to struggle again to go back to
sleep. He turns in bed without sleep until dawn when he gets up feeling fatigued and drained. The
major diagnosis is DSM 5 insomnia disorder. Given the comorbid indications of obstructive sleep
apnea and depression, it would perhaps be hard to assess whether Mr. M has DSM IV primary
insomnia since DSM 5 enables the clinician to generate an unpremeditated attribution between
obstructive sleep disorder and insomnia.

Does The Government Influence The Role Of The Church And...
While our Founding Fathers did not intend for the government to interfere with Church and family
roles, it is clear from America s history that this is exactly what has happened. Over the past few
centuries, the government has slowly taken over the roles of the Church and family. The role of the
Church is supposed to provide hope to the unreached and unsaved and be a place to grow closer to
God. The role of the family is to provide care for one another and connect to each other on a personal
level. The government has slowly been taking these roles away and replacing it with their own laws
and regulations. Over the years, the United States government has slowly usurped the roles of the
Church and family system and removed God from many things, causing Americans to put ... Show

This has changed to the government overtaking the roles of the Church and family. First of all, the
government has had a major impact on the Church. People have come to trust the government rather
than trusting the Church. There are many reasons for this including: if there are no jobs, people go to
the government s welfare; if you need food, you get food stamps instead of relying on the Church; and
if you need medical support, you get Medicaid instead of relying on the Church for support. The
government has also taken away the right of talking about God in the public school system. Instead of
schools allowing free speech, there are certain requirements about what can and cannot be talked
about. Since the government operates the public schools, they get to decide what to teach the kids,
even if it is not Spiritually related. Furthermore, giving taxes to the Church is hard to do when you
have to pay the Government about 30% of your income. The Bible tells us to give 10% of our income
to God. Overall, the government has replaced religion with science, and people put their trust in the
government rather than the Church. Next, the government has replaced the roles of the

Taking a Look at Mental Illnesses
Mental illnesses are a serious matter that affect a person as much as someone with a physical illness.
Mental illnesses are medical conditions that affect a person s mental health. They are as serious as
other disorders such as diabetes and should be treated as so. The amount of talk by those who aren t
well informed and often assume has created many misconceptions about mental illnesses. In order to
successfully make those around people with mental illnesses to be aware of the harm these disorders
cause a person these misconceptions need to be cleared. Mental illnesses need to be treated like the
threat they indeed are like real illnesses.
Mental illnesses are conditions in which a person s mental health is affected to a point that they aren t
able to cope with life s expectations. An example is a common known disorder known as depression,
when someone experiences depression they may feel like they no longer want to thrive and be happy
in their life. This happens due to the amount of brain activity the disorder causes to diminish.
According to www.nimh.nih.gov when a person has depression he or she may expirience being very
tired, a loss of interest in activites once enjoyed, and thoughts or attemp of suicide. Depression is
caused by a couple of factors are genes and brain chemistry which is irregular to normal people. Stress
is a major factor that affects those with the mental illness because they are not able to cope with it like
the majority of people. The fact is

The Statue Of Athena Parthenos
It was dedicated to the city s deity Athena. The temple was made to give a statue made in Athena s
honor a home. When Athena led the Greek forces during the Persian wars, the people of Athens
thought the world needed to see her success through a statue. Pheidias began sculpting the statue in
447 BCE. The statue would remain the city s symbol for thousands of years until it completely
disappeared from the historical record during the Late Antiquity period. Some sculpture details and
descriptions of the statue allowed the piece to be accurately reconstructed.
The Parthenon was built to protect the Statue of Athena Parthenos. It was built in Athens, Greece on
the hill of the Acropolis . With the supervision of Phidias, Ictinus and Callicrates designed the temple.
The foundation of the temple was made out of limestone and the columns were made out of pentelic
marble. The Parthenon construction cost the Athenian treasury 469 silver talents. 1 It is unknown how
much money that is, but we do know that 1 talent was enough to pay a crew on a warship for a
month.1
Temples in ancient Greece were built to only be viewed from the outside. The Parthenon was designed
to create a smooth transition from the inside to the outside. At the entrance to the Parthenon, if a
viewer s gaze went upward, the viewer would see the birth of Athena. As the viewer s gaze beings to
shift downward, they would see the arrephores folding the peplos among the Olympian gods. Below

The Importance Of Fresh Water Invertebrates
Fresh water invertebrates rely on many things to help them survive in the river and other bodies of
water. The water quality must be the right pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen levels and conductivity
levels in the water for the invertebrates to survive. Fresh water invertebrates are important for the
ecosystem as they feed on mosses on the rocks and provide food for predators to keep the ecosystem
together. Water quality is important because if it is poor then the animals, not only livestock but
domestic pets, will be affected by it because they would drink from the river. Not only do animals
drink from it but water is also extracted from this river for human consumption as drinking water,
therefore if diseases get in to water it can also have consequences on humans as well as animals. (find
evidence) The quality of the water can affect the way in which the ecosystem can change as if the
water quality becomes poor then this can influence not only the invertebrates themselves but those
species that eat these invertebrates (Wren Stephenson, 1991). Therefore, the whole food chain would
be broken as the predators would have nothing to eat so would then they will also start to die. By
monitoring what freshwater invertebrates are in each section of the river, we can check what the water
quality in the water is like as certain invertebrates survive in different conditions (look up what
invertebrates survive better in acid and alkaline water). The area around the river Plym is

Heroism In The Outsiders, By S. E. Hinton
In the book The Outsiders, written by S. E. Hinton, the narrator, Ponyboy, talks about his life as a poor
person and the fights, rich against the poor. The novel focused on how the rich and the poor people did
not understand each other. According to Ponyboy this led in the two groups to hate each other. The
three topics addressed in the engaging novel are the fight between rich and poor, the power of
friendship, and what defines heroism. To begin with, the fight between the rich and poor is a large
theme in the book The Outsiders. When Ponyboy got jumped he thought, It occurred to me that they
could kill me, (5) This shows that since Ponyboy was a greaser, the Socs jumped him and could have
killed him. This also shows that the Socs did not care whether they killed him or not. Bob also said,
You know what a greaser is? White trash with long hair (55). This showed that the Socs thought of
themselves higher than others. This also shows how the Socs did not show any sympathy with the
greasers. This shows how the rich and the poor fought because of their differences. ... Show more

Early on, Ponyboy stated, . . . organized gangs are a rarities there are just small bunches of friends
who stick together. (11). This is important because it shows how friendship bonded their small gang
and how the gang helped each other. This also shows how the gang relies upon each other to keep
alive. Ponyboy also said, . . . had been part of our gang and we wouldn t desert him. (169). This shows
that the gang was so close that even when one of them died, they would still stand up for them. This is
an important fact because without each other, they would fall apart like Ponyboy did. This shows the
power of friendship and how it bonded together the

Views On The Historical Adam Essay
Four views on the historical Adam consists of four prominent biblical scholars, who together, provided
there understanding of scripture to a project that shed light on the figure identified in Genesis 1 as
Adam. The four contributors to this book are: Dr. Denis Lamoureux, Dr. John Walton, Dr. C. John
Collins, and Dr. William Barrick. Four Views on the Historical Adam visibly outlines four key views
on the Genesis figure Adam held by evangelicals. The content provided is theologically consistent in
some ways, while in others, scientifically plausible for the one who may be struggling to reconcile
their interpretation of Adam with both modern science and with passages found in the Bible.
As mentioned in the introduction there is a huge debate strong at present in Christianity on the life of
Adam and Eve. Though many may not bother to care, as a tool in apologetics it is important that we
are not caught off guard by the questions that exist regarding of their actual existence. So I ask, did
they exist? If so, is it possible that Adam wasn t the first ever human? If not, how are we sinners
because of his original sin? So to answer my first question, I will start off by providing Dr. Lamoureux
position on the matter. Dr. Lamoureux very humbly asserts Adam never existed, and this fact has no
impact whatsoever on the foundational beliefs of Christianity (p. 38). Though he stated that he had no
intention of converted one to side with his view, and that he was merely concerned with

Migrant Privileges And Refugee Rights
Migrants vs. Refugees Warsan Shire, a British poet born to Somali parents in Kenya, once said, No
one leaves home, unless home is the mouth of a shark. This quote speaks to the heart of our topic,
migrants vs. refugees, because it defines the situation that millions of people find themselves in on a
quotidian basis. For example, the sea of refugees currently flooding out of Syria are leaving their
homeland, not for economic prosperity, but because of the imminent danger that surrounds them.
Likewise, a common misconception derived from The Grapes of Wrath, or TGOW, is that the Joad
family is a family of migrants, but it would be more appropriate to define them as refugees, which is
important, not just for fidelity, but because there is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The banks were depicted as corrupt entities that are solely interested in the money and were willing to
commit cruel acts in order to profit. When explaining the cruelty of the banks to the farmer families,
the owner man clarifies, But you see, a bank or a company can t do that, because those creatures don t
breathe air, don t eat side meat. They breathe profits; they eat the interest on money. If they don t get
it, they die the way you die without air, without side meat (Steinbeck 22). Because the Joad family
was forcibly removed from their land in Oklahoma, they needed to migrate to California in order to
survive. Were they not to relocate, they would face dire consequences, such as being unable to feed
themselves or provide themselves with a shelter. Whereas a migrant relocates in search of economic
prosperity, refugees like the Joad family relocate because they are facing persecution, and therefore,
unable to adequately survive with the limited resources. Portrayed as an era filled with economic
hardships and cruelty, the Dust Bowl caused various hardships that primarily affected the farming
class of society. The Dust Bowl was a period of time during the 1930 s in which dust storms

Teamwork Essay Examples
As a child, I learned teamwork is an essential part of our everyday activities. It is an aspect that has
becomes even more crucial to me in the adult world. To work alongside others with respect and
understanding leads to trust and wellness. When I began my college journey I was drawn to the
teamwork demonstrated at the rock wall on campus. Here I acquired the skills needed to belay rock
climbers. As a belayer you first need to explain to your climber that you have the skills and
qualifications for them to trust you, a quality you need to demonstrate in seconds to minutes. Once
trust is earned, it is the belayer s responsibility to be respectful, encouraging, and understanding to the
ability of the climber. The goal is to keep the climber calm and unscathed while they reach their goal.

in charge of helping the freshman engage and bond, but to work with the other guides from start to
finish in planning and executing a seamless trip. As the Wilderness First Responder, I had the added
responsibility of making sure everyone stayed safe and healthy, and to respond quickly to any injury.
Thankfully the most pressing concern I had was a bee sting. I addressed my participant and asked if
she had ever been stung before and if she was allergic. When she answered she had never been stung
before and was unaware of an allergy, I had to start thinking about my next move. I learned that
thinking ahead and brainstorming actions I would take is essential. The participant didn t end up
having a life threating reaction, but that day she taught me that preventative care as well as being
proactive with potential treatments is

How Did Hitler Use Language In Ww2
The Use of Language in World War II Caitlyn OHaire Baker College of Muskegon November 11,
2015 Throughout human history, language has been used to bring together societies, cultures, and
religions for a common purpose. As time passes, it becomes clearer how the structure and delivery of
words and phrases were used to fulfill the agendas of the different countries and their leaders.
Specifically, during World War II language was used as a tool to motivate and manipulate, and through
Hitler s orator skills, the use of wartime propaganda, and the strategy used to develop the Navajo Code
Talkers, its use played a vital role in the shaping of our history. Hitler is referred to as one of the
greatest orators in history, which is supported by his ability ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This resulted in an additional 200 words, which brought the total number of terms in the code to 411.
After becoming fluent in this newly created war time language, Navajo code talkers participated from
1942 until 1945 in numerous battles in the Pacific, including Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Peleliu, and
Tarawa, and played a vital role in the Allied success in the Pacific regions at the end of the war,
(Rosenberg, J. 2015). As you can see, the use language was of great value to Hitler and to the United
States during WWII. Through Hitler s orating techniques, he was able to use the structure and delivery
of language to gain support from a nation in order to carry out his race war. Similarly, though with
obviously different motives, the strategy behind use of language in wartime propaganda in the United
States generated patriotic support throughout the nation for the war and the United States role in it.
Finally, the weaving of the Navajo language with military terminology illustrates how important the
variety of language can

How Is Iago Presented In Othello
What is it about how Iago is characterized in the play Othello and how he acts that makes him such a
vivid villain, even today? We still use the expression an Iago to describe someone evil and
underhanded. Iago is characterized in the play Othello by William Shakespeare as a vivid villain
because he manipulates the other main characters. Iago contains so much jealousy and hatred against
Othello for being a general in the army, a position he feels in righteously his that he victimizes
everyone around him. He is mad at Othello for he granted Cassio as his lieutenant instead of him, this
affects his pride, forsooth a great arithmetician one Michael Cassio, a Florentine (Meyer, 2017, pp.
1072). Iago is mad at Othello for choosing Cassio over him; he is already upset that Othello receives a
promotion to general instead of him, to Iago he has battled wars and proves himself worthy of such a
title.
Jealousy fumigates this anger, and Iago turns into a villain in the play he needs to seek revenge against
Othello and Cassio he uses other characters in the play to his advantage to seek his revenge and feed
his jealousy. Iago uses Roderigo, a gulled gentleman that is in love with Desdemona to help him take
down Othello and Cassio. He manipulates Roderigo using his lust against him and tells him to give
Desdemona gifts of jewels to win her over, yet Iago keeps these treasures for himself to build his
purse. Iago manipulates Roderigo to believe that if he will listen to him and do as he says that he will
gain Desdemona s love in the end. The jewels you have had from me to deliver to Desdemona would
half have corrupted a votarist (Meyers, 2017, pp.1136).
Furthermore, Iago uses Cassio s loyalty and commitment to Othello to his advantage. He wants to
destroy not only Othello and Cassio, but he also wants to end their bond together. Iago convinces
Cassio to go against his better judgment and drink with him, But one cup! I ll drink for you (Meyers,
2017, pp. 1097). Iago causes Cassio to get drunk and get into a fight with Montano, and this leads to
Othello firing him from his duty and promoting Iago as his lieutenant. Iago uses the falling bond of
Othello and Cassio to his advantage and again manipulates to gain

  • 2. What Is The Vanishing Point Of View Of The Last Supper The Last Supper is a painting made by Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. The painting was completed on February 9th, 1498 and is located in the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. The Renascence masterpiece depicts Christ s final supper with his apostles before being arrested by the authorities. The use of perspective in the mural is prominent and easily appreciated. Leonardo used one point perspective because all of the lines in the painting convert at the top of Christ s head, which is considered the vanishing point. The horizon line extends from both sides of the vanishing point and thus goes through the top of some apostles heads. He also employs aerial perspective, or depth by atmosphere, as he uses dull colors ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Premarital Sex Reflection Paper Before this class I thought about the topics we covered in a broad sense and probably not very often. After taking this class I was forced to look deeper into each topic, and while I disagree with some things, I am glad I will be able to hold a conversation about why I disagree. I am born and raised Catholic so I know what view I am supposed to have on each topic, but I d catch myself feeling guilty because my views were more often than not slightly different than the Church s teachings. I needed to remind myself that it is okay I have a different opinion, as long as I accept the Church s opinion as well. Of the topics we talked about, I found cohabitation as the most important/interesting and I found contraception as the most controversial. In this paper I will focus on contraception in premarital sex which can also be happening in cohabiting relationships, so it in a way all connects. I have been dating my boyfriend Jarod for almost six and a half years now and he recently asked me where I was going to live after I was done with college. He was not so subtly trying to ask me what my opinion would be on us living together. My first thought was no I want to wait until I get married and I know that is what my parents want as well, but as I thought about it, it really began to make sense why he would ask. It is not cheap to live on your own, and while I would just continue living at my parents, his parents are ready for him to move out. I told him maybe if we were engaged ... Struggling to assimilate into American culture, and suppressed by social injustices convicted by their Anglo counterparts, the Chicano movement was born. In the epic poem I am Joaquin written by Rodolfo Gonzales in 1969, we dive into what it means to be a Chicano. Through this poem, we see the struggles of the Chicano people portrayed by the narrator, in an attempt to grasp the American s attention during the time of these movements. Hoping to shed light on the issues and struggles the Chicano population faced, Gonzales writes this epic in an attempt to strengthen the movement taking place, and to give Chicanos a sense of belonging and solidarity in this now ... I owned land as far as the eye could see under the Crown of Spain, and I toiled on my earth and gave my Indian sweat and blood for the Spanish master who ruled tyranny over man and beast and all that he could trample. But... THE GROUND WAS MINE. This is what life was like before the Spanish American War and before the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. This was life before Chicanos were pushed off their land because Anglos fought the documents in court. This is before the treaty that was supposed to protect their rights fell through. This is when life was hard, but it was a life they knew and a struggle they lived with. Although Chicanos have endured many struggles, this is one they want to fight for. Chicanos faced another problem along with their land being taken and being treated as second class citizens. Assimilating into American culture was difficult. Do you keep in touch with the roots of your homeland or do you change and adapt to the new ways of American culture? This was a struggle for Chicanos and it was difficult to adapt. • 5. Inequality in Work Insecurity Inequality in Work Insecurity Name Institutional Affiliation Name: Inequality in Work Insecurity What is the difference between inequality and insecurity and how can these phenomena be explained theoretically? In life, we often hear about insecurity. This word has been used to describe individuals who do not inhibit confidence, they wear emotions on their sleeves and are armored with eh concept of pleasing other people. Insecurity has been described as a feeling of insecurity. The state of mind has been characterized by vulnerability and self doubt. This suggests that insecurity is a feeling of being unsafe. Insecure people tend to have a feeling that they are a target of harm or hurt (Chirkov, Ryan Models of Preference Change, 2011). A deeper elaboration states that insecurity is a fear of not being safe. Many people are of the opinion that insecurity is a psychological state, lack of confidence and immaturity. Insecure people always feel that they are targets of rejection, and expect to be failures in life. They are always afraid of risks. All this can sabotage any leader. On the other hand, whereas insecurity means a lack of self confidence, inequality refers to a disparity and a lack of opportunity, treatment, and status because of the differences. In addition, inequality means not being even, lacking smoothness, and being irregular. Synonyms associated with inequality include prejudice, disproportional, diversity and bias (Elliott Atkinson, 1999). Marxist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the case of Beatrice and Benedict, their trust in the admonition of their peers led them to be manipulated and their thoughts were tainted. However, their deception turned out to catalyst true love. As soon as their love virus spread, the two witty, independent individuals completely dismissed the disdain that they so grudgingly held for one another. This satiric event exposes the idea that quite possibly one should spend a bit more time processing and questioning information handed to them. Beatrice and Benedict fell into the influence of the conspirators and all previous ideas of one another dissipated. In my personal opinion, I would have a bit more trouble than Beatrice when falling for a man who referred to her as Lady Disdain and who compared her intellectual, tenacious wit to a horse (pg. 12). So either the people of Shakespeare s time didn t hold grudges, or he is making fun of people who will give up all prior knowledge in the interest of love. There are many parallels and distinctions between Dinah s and Helen s roles, losses, and power, which illiminate the underlying theme of women wielding influence in patriarchal societies. The characters of Dinah and Helen, in Genesis and the Iliad, respectively, show how one mere woman can create a ripple and cause drastic events to transpire. • 25. The Importance Of Fresh Water Invertebrates Fresh water invertebrates rely on many things to help them survive in the river and other bodies of water. The water quality must be the right pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen levels and conductivity levels in the water for the invertebrates to survive. Fresh water invertebrates are important for the ecosystem as they feed on mosses on the rocks and provide food for predators to keep the ecosystem together. Water quality is important because if it is poor then the animals, not only livestock but domestic pets, will be affected by it because they would drink from the river. Not only do animals drink from it but water is also extracted from this river for human consumption as drinking water, therefore if diseases get in to water it can also have consequences on humans as well as animals. (find evidence) The quality of the water can affect the way in which the ecosystem can change as if the water quality becomes poor then this can influence not only the invertebrates themselves but those species that eat these invertebrates (Wren Stephenson, 1991). Therefore, the whole food chain would be broken as the predators would have nothing to eat so would then they will also start to die. By monitoring what freshwater invertebrates are in each section of the river, we can check what the water quality in the water is like as certain invertebrates survive in different conditions (look up what invertebrates survive better in acid and alkaline water). The area around the river Plym is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Heroism In The Outsiders, By S. E. Hinton In the book The Outsiders, written by S. E. Hinton, the narrator, Ponyboy, talks about his life as a poor person and the fights, rich against the poor. The novel focused on how the rich and the poor people did not understand each other. According to Ponyboy this led in the two groups to hate each other. The three topics addressed in the engaging novel are the fight between rich and poor, the power of friendship, and what defines heroism. To begin with, the fight between the rich and poor is a large theme in the book The Outsiders. When Ponyboy got jumped he thought, It occurred to me that they could kill me, (5) This shows that since Ponyboy was a greaser, the Socs jumped him and could have killed him. This also shows that the Socs did not care whether they killed him or not. Bob also said, You know what a greaser is? White trash with long hair (55). This showed that the Socs thought of themselves higher than others. This also shows how the Socs did not show any sympathy with the greasers. This shows how the rich and the poor fought because of their differences. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 27. Views On The Historical Adam Essay Four views on the historical Adam consists of four prominent biblical scholars, who together, provided there understanding of scripture to a project that shed light on the figure identified in Genesis 1 as Adam. The four contributors to this book are: Dr. Denis Lamoureux, Dr. John Walton, Dr. C. John Collins, and Dr. William Barrick. Four Views on the Historical Adam visibly outlines four key views on the Genesis figure Adam held by evangelicals. The content provided is theologically consistent in some ways, while in others, scientifically plausible for the one who may be struggling to reconcile their interpretation of Adam with both modern science and with passages found in the Bible. As mentioned in the introduction there is a huge debate strong at present in Christianity on the life of Adam and Eve. Though many may not bother to care, as a tool in apologetics it is important that we are not caught off guard by the questions that exist regarding of their actual existence. So I ask, did they exist? If so, is it possible that Adam wasn t the first ever human? If not, how are we sinners because of his original sin? So to answer my first question, I will start off by providing Dr. Lamoureux position on the matter. Dr. Lamoureux very humbly asserts Adam never existed, and this fact has no impact whatsoever on the foundational beliefs of Christianity (p. 38). Though he stated that he had no intention of converted one to side with his view, and that he was merely concerned with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Migrant Privileges And Refugee Rights Migrants vs. Refugees Warsan Shire, a British poet born to Somali parents in Kenya, once said, No one leaves home, unless home is the mouth of a shark. This quote speaks to the heart of our topic, migrants vs. refugees, because it defines the situation that millions of people find themselves in on a quotidian basis. For example, the sea of refugees currently flooding out of Syria are leaving their homeland, not for economic prosperity, but because of the imminent danger that surrounds them. Likewise, a common misconception derived from The Grapes of Wrath, or TGOW, is that the Joad family is a family of migrants, but it would be more appropriate to define them as refugees, which is important, not just for fidelity, but because there is ... When explaining the cruelty of the banks to the farmer families, the owner man clarifies, But you see, a bank or a company can t do that, because those creatures don t breathe air, don t eat side meat. They breathe profits; they eat the interest on money. If they don t get it, they die the way you die without air, without side meat (Steinbeck 22). Because the Joad family was forcibly removed from their land in Oklahoma, they needed to migrate to California in order to survive. Were they not to relocate, they would face dire consequences, such as being unable to feed themselves or provide themselves with a shelter. Whereas a migrant relocates in search of economic prosperity, refugees like the Joad family relocate because they are facing persecution, and therefore, unable to adequately survive with the limited resources. Portrayed as an era filled with economic hardships and cruelty, the Dust Bowl caused various hardships that primarily affected the farming class of society. The Dust Bowl was a period of time during the 1930 s in which dust storms ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Teamwork Essay Examples As a child, I learned teamwork is an essential part of our everyday activities. It is an aspect that has becomes even more crucial to me in the adult world. To work alongside others with respect and understanding leads to trust and wellness. When I began my college journey I was drawn to the teamwork demonstrated at the rock wall on campus. Here I acquired the skills needed to belay rock climbers. As a belayer you first need to explain to your climber that you have the skills and qualifications for them to trust you, a quality you need to demonstrate in seconds to minutes. Once trust is earned, it is the belayer s responsibility to be respectful, encouraging, and understanding to the ability of the climber. The goal is to keep the climber calm and unscathed while they reach their goal. As you work with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These experiences taught me how to work alongside other guides to keep our participants fed, safe, and on the right path. As a guide, I had participants who looked up to, and trusted me. I was not only in charge of helping the freshman engage and bond, but to work with the other guides from start to finish in planning and executing a seamless trip. As the Wilderness First Responder, I had the added responsibility of making sure everyone stayed safe and healthy, and to respond quickly to any injury. Thankfully the most pressing concern I had was a bee sting. I addressed my participant and asked if she had ever been stung before and if she was allergic. When she answered she had never been stung before and was unaware of an allergy, I had to start thinking about my next move. I learned that thinking ahead and brainstorming actions I would take is essential. • 30. How Did Hitler Use Language In Ww2 The Use of Language in World War II Caitlyn OHaire Baker College of Muskegon November 11, 2015 Throughout human history, language has been used to bring together societies, cultures, and religions for a common purpose. As time passes, it becomes clearer how the structure and delivery of words and phrases were used to fulfill the agendas of the different countries and their leaders. Specifically, during World War II language was used as a tool to motivate and manipulate, and through Hitler s orator skills, the use of wartime propaganda, and the strategy used to develop the Navajo Code Talkers, its use played a vital role in the shaping of our history. After becoming fluent in this newly created war time language, Navajo code talkers participated from 1942 until 1945 in numerous battles in the Pacific, including Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Peleliu, and Tarawa, and played a vital role in the Allied success in the Pacific regions at the end of the war, (Rosenberg, J. 2015). As you can see, the use language was of great value to Hitler and to the United States during WWII. Through Hitler s orating techniques, he was able to use the structure and delivery of language to gain support from a nation in order to carry out his race war. Similarly, though with obviously different motives, the strategy behind use of language in wartime propaganda in the United States generated patriotic support throughout the nation for the war and the United States role in it. • 31. How Is Iago Presented In Othello What is it about how Iago is characterized in the play Othello and how he acts that makes him such a vivid villain, even today? We still use the expression an Iago to describe someone evil and underhanded. Iago is characterized in the play Othello by William Shakespeare as a vivid villain because he manipulates the other main characters. Iago contains so much jealousy and hatred against Othello for being a general in the army, a position he feels in righteously his that he victimizes everyone around him. He is mad at Othello for he granted Cassio as his lieutenant instead of him, this affects his pride, forsooth a great arithmetician one Michael Cassio, a Florentine (Meyer, 2017, pp. 1072). Iago is mad at Othello for choosing Cassio over him; he is already upset that Othello receives a promotion to general instead of him, to Iago he has battled wars and proves himself worthy of such a title. Jealousy fumigates this anger, and Iago turns into a villain in the play he needs to seek revenge against Othello and Cassio he uses other characters in the play to his advantage to seek his revenge and feed his jealousy. Iago uses Roderigo, a gulled gentleman that is in love with Desdemona to help him take down Othello and Cassio. He manipulates Roderigo using his lust against him and tells him to give Desdemona gifts of jewels to win her over, yet Iago keeps these treasures for himself to build his purse. Iago manipulates Roderigo to believe that if he will listen to him and do as he says that he will gain Desdemona s love in the end. The jewels you have had from me to deliver to Desdemona would half have corrupted a votarist (Meyers, 2017, pp.1136). Furthermore, Iago uses Cassio s loyalty and commitment to Othello to his advantage. He wants to destroy not only Othello and Cassio, but he also wants to end their bond together. Iago convinces Cassio to go against his better judgment and drink with him, But one cup! I ll drink for you (Meyers, 2017, pp. 1097). Iago causes Cassio to get drunk and get into a fight with Montano, and this leads to Othello firing him from his duty and promoting Iago as his lieutenant.
