time watching television and more time on
homework.
 Substantially more time is spent on science and
mathematics knowledge deepening in comparison to
what has been found in studies that focus on non-1:1
laptop settings (Ravitz, Wong, & Becker, 1999; Russell, O’Brien,Bebell, & O’Dwyer, 2003).

Your obligations
•Sign the User Agreement, Rental Agreement and Acceptable Use
Agreement
•Accept the school’s conditions that for the first week or so of school the
Netbooks will be stored at school.
•Agree to pay 12 payments (first week of each term)
•Agree to the terms of the warranty, that accidental damage is covered,
non-accidental damage is not!
•Commit to charging the Netbook each night at home and ensuring it is
brought to school each day.
•Ensure the Netbook is stored in its case whenever it is being carried.
•Your student agrees to the Acceptable use policy
•You agree to monitor their use at home.

1. Return the signed Rental Agreement by Friday 28th October
2. Pay your first instalment of $-- in Week 1, Term 1

Your obligations •Sign the User Agreement, Rental Agreement and Acceptable Use Agreement •Accept the school’s conditions that for the first week or so of school the Netbooks will be stored at school. •Agree to pay 12 payments (first week of each term) •Agree to the terms of the warranty, that accidental damage is covered, non-accidental damage is not! •Commit to charging the Netbook each night at home and ensuring it is brought to school each day. •Ensure the Netbook is stored in its case whenever it is being carried. •Your student agrees to the Acceptable use policy •You agree to monitor their use at home. ©JoBlannin2010

  1. Can go on internet at home, can use all software at home.
  2. Can’t have outside computers with this licensed software and can’t put unsecured (to a very high standard) computers on our network. Too unsafe for all other students.
  3. Real world experiences for students to learn how to behave online, what is acceptable and what isnt and how to deal with upsetting things online….
  4. The School will place an order in the next 10 daysNetbooks will arrive for Term 1, will be set up and given to studentsTerm 1 2011 Parent Induction Program to run - A parent or guardian must attend in order for students to be able to take netbooks home (a choice of evenings will be provided)
