Learning Tasks are a major componant of the Victorian Department of Education's Ultranet - a virtual learning environment for teachers, parents and students.
15. 5. A Reference – an embedded website with directions from the teacher.
16. For EVERY learning task, teachers must include the relevant VELS indicators for the activity. Once students have completed the task, teachers then need to assign a score/rating against the VELS indicators. This data becomes part of the ‘Progress’ graph on the students Profile Page – visible to both parents and students.
17. Monitoring allows teachers to see what tasks their students have completed, which tasks are most popular and to create graphs of completed/in progress/not commenced tasks.
18. Observations is where teachers comment on the work the students have completed. They can make their comments visible to students and parents or choose to keep them private
