Students were interested in looking around the special collections materials and talking to librarians about the items. Over two days and six hours, with one librarian and one student assistant, about 50 visitors viewed the pop-up exhibits. To continue engaging students, the librarians can find more partners across departments and create exhibits on their own. Effective advertising, visuals over text, hands-on activities, giveaways, student worker involvement, and tying exhibits to popular culture can help attract more students to learn about special collections.

Preparations also began for migrating to a new library automation system over the summer and the science section saw a massive weeding.

Mandi Goodsett is a Performing Arts & Humanities Librarian at Cleveland State University. She has a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Adult & Continuing Education from Cleveland State University. Her experience includes positions at Georgia Southwestern State University, Interlochen Center for the Arts, University of Illinois, and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She has published and presented widely on topics related to library instruction, information literacy, and professional development for librarians.

Book Festival is an event to provides free books for everyone to read. The event aims to promote reading culture on campus by providing a variety of books, from fiction, self-development, academic, and many more.
This event is one of a series of activities to complete final exam for English courses

NPES Learning Commons Annual Report 2015 - 2016
The annual report summarizes the activities of the New Providence Elementary School Learning Commons for the 2015-2016 school year. FAVL 2009 Annual Report

Her career experiences include serving on ALA and state library committees and coordinating reference services. Prior to her current role, she worked as a high school English teacher and library media specialist. Her research focuses on literacy and library marketing.
Favl presentation october 2010
FAVL is committed to establishing and supporting small community libraries in Sub-Saharan Africa to increase access to reading materials. It works with villages to build and staff libraries, provides books and training, and ensures reporting. FAVL has established 14 libraries across 4 countries and supports the Uganda Community Library Association with over 60 member libraries. In 2009-2010, FAVL launched reading camps, opened 4 new libraries in Burkina Faso, received a grant to improve girl access, and increased UgCLA membership by 50%. It also supported various library conferences and launched a study abroad program where students publish culturally relevant books.

The Friends of African Village Libraries newsletter provides updates on their work in 2017 to support libraries in Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Uganda. 2) Library circulation was 2,465 items and 56 new books were added. Libguides were created and accessed 192 times.
3) The library collaborated with various classes on units about research, survival, hot topics, short stories, animals, mythology and more. Collaboration levels ranged from providing materials to co-teaching lessons.
