The “diffuse library” of “Pascoli” Middle School, Turin, by Daniela MarantaLuisa Marquardt
Daniela Maranta, School Teacher of Humanities and School Library Coordinator at "Giovanni Pascoli" Middle School of "Rita Levi-Montalcini" Comprehensive School in Turin, introduces the "diffuse" school library at Pascoli Middle School.
Abstract
The “widespread” or “diffuse” library at «Giovanni Pascoli» Middle School of the «Rita Levi-Montalcini» Comprehensive School in Turin, following the renovation that returned it to the city in September 2019, presents itself to the students and users as an element of discontinuity from the past: it aims at becoming a cultural reference point not only for the school community, but for the whole local context where it is located.
Bearing this in mind, the library was designed and structured, starting from its location on different floors, passing through the thematic specificity attributed to each reading area.
The welcome that each place offers is itself already stimulating the students to discover new learning opportunities, as well as motivating them to participate in the various activities proposed, also in collaboration with the School Library Network which the school takes part in.
1. The document discusses the importance of libraries and access to information for children's education and development. It outlines the role of school and classroom libraries, as well as science libraries, in fostering reading habits and cultivating curiosity in students.
2. Different types of search tools for finding information online are described, including web search engines, meta search engines, directories, and specialty search services that access hidden web content. Determining the authorship and reliability of online information sources is also highlighted.
3. Creating well-planned library programs and properly implementing class library activities can help make students lifelong learners and achieve educational goals.
The school library plays a key role in students' education and lifelong learning. It provides students with resources to support all areas of study and exposes them to materials at different levels of difficulty. The library helps develop students' imagination and enables them to become responsible citizens. Selecting appropriate resources for the library is important so that it can inspire students, meet their information needs, and foster a love of learning. Regular library periods are necessary so students can make effective use of the library.
The document discusses the history of libraries from ancient times to the present. It notes that the first libraries existed in Sumer as book repositories and public centers for disseminating knowledge. Libraries grew out of monasteries and universities starting in the 13th century. The mass public library became dominant in the 20th century, serving to promote books and reading. The document provides several brief facts about the establishment of early libraries and the roles of librarians throughout history.

Libraries have undergone significant changes over time. Historically, libraries were only accessible to the wealthy and housed royal collections. Now, libraries serve all members of society and aim to provide access to information and knowledge. While libraries in developing countries still face challenges, their role is increasingly recognized. Libraries adapt to remain relevant by providing diverse materials, digital resources, and community spaces in this era of information abundance.
John Bright's quote summarizes that a love of books allows one to personally meet and learn from history's great thinkers by reading their works in libraries. When entering a library, it feels like the dead are present and their books can answer questions as faithfully as when the authors left them.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall

Конституція України;
Закон України «Про бібліотеку і бібліотечну справу»;
Закон України «Про мови в Україні»;
Закон України «Про загальну середню освіту»;

примірників;
зупинки»;
8.

збереження та поповнення фонду;
формування інформаційної культури;
популяризацію бібліотечно-бібліографічних знань;
роботу щодо популяризації книги;
самоосвітньої діяльності учнів та педагогів;
