This document discusses ENERGY STAR building ratings and Portfolio Manager. It provides background on ENERGY STAR, the launch of Portfolio Manager in 2000, and how it is used to benchmark and rate over 260,000 commercial buildings. Buildings can receive a score from 1 to 100 in Portfolio Manager and those scoring 75 or higher may qualify for ENERGY STAR certification. Various types of buildings are eligible for ratings, and 12 months of utility data without gaps over 65 days is required to receive a rating.
