Obesity increases risks of certain cancers and cardiovascular diseases. 65% of the world's population lives where overweight and obesity kills more than underweight. Hispanic males ages 2-19 and black females ages 2-19 in the US have higher obesity rates, as do those in low-income areas. Root causes include stress, exercise habits, food industry influences, gender/racial differences, lack of education, and media advertising. Symptoms are cardiovascular disease, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, premature death.
