Medical missionary work is the pioneer work of the gospel, the door through which the truth for this time is to find entrance to many homes. God's people are to be genuine medical missionaries, for they are to learn to minister to the needs of both soul and body. The purest unselfishness is to be shown by our workers as, with the knowledge and experience gained by practical work, they go out to give treatments to the sick. As they go from house to house they will find access to many hearts. Many will be reached who otherwise never would have heard the gospel message. A demonstration of the principles of health reform will do much toward removing prejudice against our evangelical work. The Great Physician, the originator of medical missionary work, will bless all who thus seek to impart the truth for this time.

Foods that make up a low cholesterol diet can help reduce high levels
Changing what foods you eat can lower your cholesterol and improve the armada of fats floating through your bloodstream. Adding foods that lower LDL, the harmful cholesterol-carrying particle that contributes to artery-clogging atherosclerosis, is the best way to achieve a low cholesterol diet.
Add these foods to lower LDL cholesterol
Different foods lower cholesterol in various ways. Some deliver soluble fiber, which binds cholesterol and its precursors in the digestive system and drags them out of the body before they get into circulation. Some give you polyunsaturated fats, which directly lower LDL. And some contain plant sterols and stanols, which block the body from absorbing cholesterol.
This document provides an agenda and materials for a nutritional and fitness workshop titled "My Life, My Health, My Community". To Restore Your Gut Bacteria and Health rememder the saying of Messenger of Allah Muhammad pbuh ; "No man fills a container worse than his stomach. A few morsels that keep his back upright are sufficient for him. If he has to, then he should keep one-third for food, one-third for drink and one-third for his breathing.“ [At-Tirmidhi] . Also remember the saying of Hippocrates 460 BC - 370 BC : "Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food". And this saying by Moses Maimonides, the great 12th century physician : "No illness which can be treated by diet should be treated by any other means”.
There are many nutritional benefits that you can get from a vegan diet full of foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and beans.
The document discusses low-carb diets and argues that they oversimplify healthy eating. While carbs do impact blood sugar and insulin levels, not all carbs are equal - fruits/veggies have low glycemic indexes due to fiber, while whole grains are more nutritious than refined carbs. Very low-carb diets may lack important nutrients and be high in saturated fat, increasing risks of diseases. The best approach is to eat a balanced diet of whole grains and fruits/veggies in moderate portions, along with activity, for sustainable weight loss and health.
The document provides dietary recommendations for managing diabetes type 2, including eating adequate vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber and healthy fats from whole foods; balancing blood sugar by not skipping meals, including protein, fats and fiber at meals, and supplementing certain nutrients; including healthy sources of carbohydrates, protein and fats at meals; and drinking enough water. The CDC statistics show that diabetes is at epidemic levels in the US due to diets high in refined grains and low in fat.

5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT or Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that serves a range of roles in the human body. It is sometimes referred to as the happy chemical since it promotes overall well-being and happiness.
It is mostly found in the brain, intestines, and blood platelets.
5-HT is utilised to transport messages between nerve cells, is known to be involved in smooth muscle contraction, and adds to overall well-being and pleasure, among other benefits. 5-HT regulates the body's sleep-wake cycles and internal clock by acting as a precursor to melatonin.
It is hypothesised to regulate hunger, emotions, motor, cognitive, and autonomic processes.

We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

3. THE ART AND SCIENCE OF HEALING
God pledged Himself to keep this human machinery in healthful action if the
human agent will obey His laws and cooperate with God. MS 3, 1897 CD p.17
If man will first trust in God, rest, exercise, be temperant, dress with modesty and
use His simple agents properly, and maintain good hygiene in using His temple,
then God will continue to cooperate with the human agent in providing His
natural agents of sunlight, water, clean air, life bearing grass, seeds and herbs, in
the prevention of disease. Gen. 1:11, Ex. 15:26; 1 Cor. 3:9-11; 1MR 345.2-346.3
There are many ways of practicing the
healing art, but there is only one way
that Heaven approves.
God's remedies are the simple agencies
of nature that will not tax or debilitate
the system through their powerful
properties. {5T 443.1}

7. HOW DOES ONE DEFINE A TRUE
REMEDY OR A MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION?
A TRUE REMEDY IS A
MEANS THAT EXISTS TO
REMOVE OR ALLEVIATE A
DISEASE OR CONDITION.
IT IS A CURE.
A MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION
IS AN ORDER OR A
RECOMMENDATION FOR
TREATMENT, THAT MAY
OR MAY NOT BE
CURATIVE.

8. WHAT IS THE BEST AND SAFEST WAY
TO EVALUATE THE USE OF
NATURAL REMEDIES ?
THERE ARE NO TWO

9. As we recognize that nutrition is a true remedy, then
applying it properly, provides healing properties.
It is a fact that we are what we eat,
but what are we made of ?
In order for us to know what we are
made of, we need to learn the basic
elements that the human body is
composed of.
Once we know what the basic
elements are, and we learn how
these elements can function
optimally, we can begin to
understand how to fuel our bodies.
Only by knowing the basic elements
that the body is made of and
understanding how the body needs to
be fed in order for it to work
optimally, and then obeying the laws
of health, can we obtain wisdom in
knowing how to preserve it.
9
10. WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS THAT THE
HUMAN BODY IS MADE OF?
10
The essential elements
needed to sustain
human life consist of:
a) Sugars
b) Proteins
c) Fats
d) Vitamins
e) Enzymes and
f) Water
12. DOES A RELATION EXIST BETWEEN
LEARNING DIFFICULTIES AND DIET ?
It has been observed
that students that
eat diets that are:
Rich in refined
sugars,
Artificial sugars,
Artificial coloring,
Caffeine and are
poor in proteins,
Are associated with
learning difficulties.
12
13. WHY IS IT THAT SUGARS GO UP AND
DOWN WITH SOME DIETS?
REFINED SUGARS MAKE
BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS RISE
VERY RAPIDLY.
THIS RAPID RISE IN BLOOD
SUGAR CAUSES OVER-
STIMULATION OF INSULIN.
OVER-STIMULATION OF
INSULIN CAUSES A RAPID
DROP IN BLOOD SUGAR
LEVELS BELOW THEIR
OPTIMAL LEVELS.
THIS EFFECT IS AGGRAVATED
BY THE USE OF CAFFEINE
AND ARTIFICIAL SUGARS.

17. FOR TAKING EXAMS IN SCHOOL, HOW
IMPORTANT IS BREAKFAST ?
Breakfast is the most
important meal
of the day.
It has been tested and
proven that children
that eat a good
breakfast get better
grades in school.
17
18. WHAT EFFECTS DO ANIMAL PROTEINS EXERT
OVER THE ABSORPTION OF CALCIUM ?
Persons that eat animal
products get an excess of
total proteins.
Bones normally contain little
protein.
Diets with an excess of
proteins limit the absorption
of calcium that in turn
promotes the elimination of
calcium.
This effect results in
osteoporosis and increases
the risk of fractures.
18
19. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF A
BREAKFAST HIGH IN VEGETABLE PROTEINS ?
•Greater productivity before
the noon time meal
•Greater state of alertness
•Less muscular fatigue
•Greater tolerance
•Less predisposition to having
accidents
•Less oxygen requirements
in doing work.
•Less neuromuscular tremors
•Less irritability
19
21. Why is it that the Eskimos of Greenland have healthy hearts?
Even though the Eskimos have diets that are high in fats that are
derived principally from fish, and they are relatively inactive
physically due to the environmental factors, they
have a low incidence of heart disease.
This is due to their ingestion of Omega 3 fats their diets.
21
22. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE DISADVANTATES OF
OMEGA 3 FATS FROM FISH AS OPPOSED
TO VEGETABLE ORIGIN?
The disadvantages of
Omega 3’s from fish
are that much are
contaminated with
Mercury, PCBs and
Dioxin.
22
23. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF
OMEGA 3 FATS IN OUR DIETS?
Multiple mechanisms have been
proposed for the beneficial effects
of Omega 3 fatty acids for both
primary and secondary prevention
of cardiac disease. These include
reduction in triglyceride levels,
inflammation, blood clotting,
irregular heart beating and plaque
formation.
This reduces the risk of non fatal
heart attack, fatal heart attack,
sudden death and all cause
mortality.
The Effects of Omega 3 Fatty Acids on Cardiovascular Disease:
US Department of Health and Human Services ERTA#94
23
24. HOW MUCH OMEGA 3 FATS ARE
BENEFICIAL FOR OUR HEALTH?
The ingestion of 1-3 g
of omega 3 fats per day
have been associated
with a reduction in the
incidence of coronary
deaths by 36%, and
reduce the total
mortality by 17%.
24
25. SINCE SOY PRODUCTS HAVE PHYTO-
ESTROGENS, SHOULD MEN BE
EATING THEM?
Phyto-estrogens reduce the incidence of prostate
cancer. Due to their Omega 3 content, soy reduces
the incidence of heart attacks, they lower blood
pressure and they reduce the incidence of heart
arrythmias. In low to moderate intake have no
effect on feminization, sperm production or motility.
25
26. What are the differences between
white and brown rice?
Brown rice is commonly referred to as hulled rice that is a whole grain,
whereas, white rice is milled, whereby removing the hull of the grain that
contain the bran and germ layers.
Brown rice containing bran and germ layers is a source of fiber, protein, niacin,
B6, folate, pantothenic acid, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium,
phospherous, manganese, potassium, zinc and selenium.
The essential oils contained in brown rice have been found to lower LDL
cholesterol and reduce the risks of heart disease and stroke.
26
27. WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF EATING
OLIVES OVER BUTTER?
Let the diet reform be progressive. Let
the people be taught how to prepare
food without the use of milk or butter.
Olives may be so prepared as to be
eaten with good results at every
meal. The advantages sought by the
use of butter may be obtained by the
eating of properly prepared olives.
The oil in the olives relieves
constipation, and for consumptives,
and for those who have inflamed,
irritated stomachs, it is better than
any drug. As a food it is better than
any oil coming secondhand from
animals. EGW CD 349.1-4
27
28. WHY DOES THE ANTI-COAGULANT
COUMADIN HAVE A AN FDA WARNING
ABOUT EATING GREEN VEGETABLES?
The only naturally occurring coumestan in the food chain is the phytochemical
coumestrol. Coumestrol is found in beans, split peas, clover, spinach, alfalfa sprouts,
brussel sprouts and soybean sprouts. Coumestrol is an isoflavone from which
coumadin is derived. The anti-coagulant properties of the seeds of the tonka bean
containing coumadin are so potent that they can be lethal in large doses.
Due to this, the FDA had it’s use banned in food in the USA.
Tanka Bean banned
28
29. IT IS BELIEVED THAT WE EAT TOO MUCH OIL IN
OUR DIETS. HOW MANY EARS OF CORN ARE
NEEDED TO MAKE ONE TEASPOON OF CORNOIL?
It takes 16 ears of
corn to make 1
teaspoonful of
corn oil.
When we eat corn in
its natural state,
naturally, we eat
a lot less fat.
29
30. WHY IS IT THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE
HIGH CHOLESTEROL?
Principally, it is due to
3 factors:
Eating an animal diet
containing cholesterol
Consuming more fat
than we burn off.
A lack of sufficient fiber.
30
31. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A
CIS-FAT AND A TRANS-FAT ?
A cis-fats are found
naturally.
Trans-fats are modified or
damaged by overheating.
Overheating causes
modification of the structure
of fats that is harmful by
producing inflammation in
the body.
Inflammation in the
vascular bed can stimulate
the formation of clots.
32
32. WHY IS CANCER ASSOCIATED
WITH OBESITY?
DIETS HIGH IN FATS ARE
ASSOCIATED WITH
COLON CANCER,
PROSTATE CANCER AND
BREAST CANCER.
PHYSICAL INACTIVITY,
THE LACK OF SUNLIGHT
AND DAMAGED FATS ARE
AGGRAVATING FACTORS.
31
33. WHAT IMPACT HAS MODERN FEEDING
OF DAIRY COWS HAD ON OMEGA-3?
Cows grazed on
grassland contain
milk that is high in
Omega 3, but since
the 1950’s, modern
day feeding practices
consist of corn, soy
and wheat that
contain principally
no Omega 3.
33
Before 1950

34. IS IT STILL SAFE FOR US TO CONTINUE
EATING DAIRY PRODUCTS?
Let the diet reform be progressive. Let the people be taught how
to prepare food without the use of milk or butter.
Tell them that the time will come when , because there will be no
safety in using eggs, milk, cream, or butter, because the disease
in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase in
wickedness among men. CD p.356 EGW
34
36. WHEN PEOPLE GET AWAY FROM EATING MEATS,
WHAT MINERAL DEFICIENCY IS FREQUENT?
In vegetarians, the
mineral that is most
scarce is iron.
Green vegetables are
the best and greatest
source of iron.
The absorption of iron
is increased by the
ingestion of vitamin c.
36
37. IF I STOP DRINKING COW’S MILK, HOW
CAN I REPLACE MY CALCIUM ?
If calcium comes from cow’s
milk, and cow’s milk comes
from what the cow eats,
then, why not go directly to
the source?
Calcium is a trace mineral
that is found in the soil.
There is sufficient calcium to
meet the human body needs
by eating fruits, vegetables
and grains that grow out of
the soil.
37
38. HOW MUCH MORE CALCIUM DO GREEN
VEGETABLES HAVE THAN OTHER
VEGETABLES ?
5 TIMES
MORE
CALCIUM
38
39. WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF EATING
FOOD OF MANY COLORS ?
NUTRIENTS COME IN
DIFFERENT COLORS AND
FLAVORS.
THE MORE COLOR YOU
HAVE ON YOUR PLATE, THE
MORE VITAMINS AND
ENZYMES ARE PRESENT.
THE MORE VITAMINS AND
ENZYMES THAT ARE
PRESENT, THE HEALTHIER
IT IS.
39
40. WHAT TYPE OF VITAMINS AND
MINERALS SHOULD I TAKE?
When we eat a variety
of fruits, vegetables,
grains and nuts in their
natural state, there are
sufficient vitamins and
minerals making
supplementation not
necessary.
40
42. How many times should we chew
a mouthful of food ?
Each mouthful of food
should be chewed at least
50 times before passing it
down to our stomach.
While we chew, the
glands liberate enzymes
that assist in digesting
the food.
The more enzymes that
are released, the greater
the asimilation of
nutrients.
42
43. • Live enzymes ignite the fuel we eat.
• As we heat up food, this process kills the live
enzymes in our diet.
• The body is a vehicle that transports us from
one place to another.
• Can dead spark plugs work well in your vehicle?
In what way are digestive
enzymes like spark plugs?
43
44. IF ENZYMES AND VITAMINS DIE WHEN WE HEAT UP
FOOD, WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THE FOOD WE
EAT SHOULD BE RAW ?
As food looses it’s natural
color by heating, this is an
indication that it has lost
some of it’s nutritive and
curative properties.
The greater the disease
state, the more critical it
is that we eat food that
maintains it’s curative
properties.
44
45. WHAT OTHER ASPECTS ARE IMPORTANT IN OUR
DIET FOR THE PREVENTION OF DISEASES ?
45
46. IS IT GOOD FOR ME TO EAT THE SAME FOOD DAY
AFTER DAY OR IS A VARIETY BETTER?
“There should not be
many kinds at any one
meal, but all meals should
not be composed of the
same kinds of food
without variation.
Food should be prepared
with simplicity, yet with a
nicety which will invite the
appetite.” EGW 1896
“It would be much better to eat
only 2 or 3 different kinds of food
at a meal than to load the stomach
with many varieties.” EGW 1897
46
47. WHAT FOODS OR CIRCUMSTANCES CAUSE
THE AIRWAY TO REACT ?
The throat is shared by the
respiratory and the digestive
tracts.
White flour, refined sugars, milk,
cheese, ice cream, pasta, pizza,
white rice and salt cause
inflammation in the throat.
Constipation, being overweight,
and the lack of exercise cause
further congestion.
These foods or circumstances
cause the airway to react making
it hard to breathe that triggers
coughing, more throat irritation,
bronchial spasms and wheezing.
47
48. HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD WE GO
TO THE BATHROOM PER DAY ?
The foods we eat have an
impact over the volume and
size of the stools we have per
day.
If we eat 3 times per day, on
an average, we should have
3 movements per day.
If we do not have the same
number of movements as the
times we eat, then as a
general rule, we are either
lacking in water, fiber or
physical activity.
48
49. IF I AM HUNGRY FOR SOMETHING WITH THE
FLAVOR OF AN APPLE, WHAT SHOULD I EAT?
1 APPLE = 50 CAL
APPLE JUICE = 150 CAL
APPLE PIE = 400 CAL
APPLE PIE A
LA MODE = 550 CAL
NOW WE CAN SEE THE
IMPORTANCE OF FIBER
IN LOOSING WEIGHT.
49
50. WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE DEVELOP
APPENDICITIS ?
Appendicitis is a
disease produced by
constipation.
Appendicitis is
preventable with the
use of fiber.
50
51. DOES FIBER HELP IN REDUCING
THE RISK OF CANCER ?
It has been
shown that fiber
can reduce the
risk of developing
cancer of the
breast, ovary,
uterus, prostate
and colon..
51
52. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF
FIBER IN CARDIAC PATIENTS?
Fiber lowers cholesterol, Reduces triglycerides,
Reduces blood pressure, Stabilizes blood sugar levels,
and helps us to loose weight.
52
53. AFTER WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD
ONE STOP EATING?
IT HAS BEEN
PROVEN THAT
WHEN WE EAT
AFTER 6 PM,
ALMOST 100% OF
WHAT WE EAT
TURNS INTO FAT.
53
54. WHAT EFFECT DOES FIBER HAVE ON
BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS ?
FIBER PROLONGS
THE TIME IT TAKES
FOR THE SUGAR TO
PASS FROM THE
STOMACH.
THIS DELAY HELPS IN
SUSTAINING BLOOD
SUGAR LEVELS.
54
55. WHAT TYPE OF FIBER REDUCES THE RISK OF
DEVELOPING DIABETES TYPE II ?
DARK BREAD,
BROWN RICE,
WHOLE GRAIN
CEREALS AND
ROLLED OATS
55
56. IN WHAT WAY DOES FIBER HELP
US TO LOOSE WEIGHT ?
SINCE FIBER GIVES US
A SENSATION OF
FULLNESS
AND AT THE SAME
TIME BLOOD SUGARS
ARE MAINTAINED,
WE TEND TO EAT
LESS.
56
57. What are some of the health effects
of continued pasta ingestion?
Pasta in plain English means
paste. Paste is glue that sticks to
the walls of the intestines from
the throat to the rectum.
Pasta promotes constipation,
resulting in fermentation that
produces gas, bloating and
inflammation in the bowel.
Chronic inflammation impedes the
absorption of nutrients in the
body.
Given enough time, a reduction in
the absorption of nutrients can
result in degeneration of cells,
tissues, organs and systems of the
body.
The MSG in the soup packages
causes salt retention.
57
58. IN WHAT WAY IS IT BENEFICIAL FOR US
TO BRUSH OUR TEETH AFTER EATING ?
IT HAS BEEN SHOWN
THAT WHILE WE
RETAIN THE FLAVOR
OF FOOD IN OUR
MOUTHS AFTER
EATING,
THIS TEMPTS US
WANT TO EAT
MORE FOOD.
58
60. THE DIGESTIVE TRACT PRODUCES
BETWEEN 2-3 GALLONSOF
DIGESTIVE JUICES PER DAY.
WHEN WE DILUTE THE DIGESTIVE
JUICES WITH WATER IN OUR FOOD,
THIS INTERFERES WITH THE
DIGESTIVE PROCESS BY DELAYING
THE ARRIVAL OF CONCENTRATED
ENZYMES AND REDUCES THE
ASSIMILATION OF NUTRIENTS.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT WE DRINK
WATER 15 MINUTES BEFORE OR
ONE HOUR AFTER EATING? 60
61. WHAT EFFECT DOES EATING NON FAT
MILK HAVE ON CHOLESTEROL?
Most people think that it is the
fat in cows milk raises cholesterol
levels. This is a partial truth.
The problem is that cows milk has
caseine. Caseine is a protein that
raises cholesterol. Caseine is not
found in vegetable protein.
Despite removing the fat out of
cows milk, the caseine persists.
Due to the properties of caseine,
there is a raise cholesterol levels.
61
62. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DRINK
VERY COLD WATER ?
VERY COLD WATER HAS A
PARALIZING EFFECT ON THE
INTESTINES.
THIS PARALIZING EFFECT
CONTINUES UNTIL THE WATER
TEMPERATURE INCREASES TO THAT
OF THE SURROUNDING TISSUES.
VERY COLD WATER CONSTRICTS
THE BLOOD FLOW, THE FLOW OF
THE DIGESTIVE JUICES AND
PRODUCES INDIGESTION, COLIC
AND LOWERS OUR DEFENSES.

Substances called Cafestol and Kahweol,
that are found in unfiltered coffee may
increase cholesterol (LDL) in the blood,
whereby raising the risk of heart disease.
Baylor College of Medicine 2007
WHAT EFFECT DOES COFFEE
HAVE ON CHOLESTEROL?
62
63. WHAT EFFECT DOES COFFEE
HAVE ON INFLAMMATION?
In healthy people, coffee has an
effect that dramatically increases
the inflammation (CRP) in the
blood. Inflammation is what
precedes the reduction of blood
flow through blood vessels prior
to a heart attack.
Am J Clin Nutr 2004; 80:862-7

65. IS MEAT EATING ESSENTIAL FOR
HEALTH & STRENGTH?
“Meat is not essential for health or strength, else the Lord
made a mistake when He provided food for Adam and Eve
before their fall. All the elements of nutrition are contained in
the fruits, vegetables, and grains.” CD 395.2 EGW

66. WHAT SHOULD BE THE
INTERVAL BETWEEN
MEALS?
Five hours at least should
elapse between each
meal, and always bear in
mind that if you would
give it a trial, you would
find that two meals are
better than three.

67. WHAT TYPES OF FOOD ARE
DIGESTED BEST WHEN NOT
EATEN TOGETHER?
IN ORDER FOR THERE TO BE
THE BEST ASSIMILATION OF
FOOD,
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
NOT BE COMBINED.

FOODS p.112 EGW

68. UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS IS A
FRUIT DIET BENEFICIAL?
“Intemperate eating is often the cause of sickness, and what
nature most needs is to be relieved of the undue burden that has
been placed upon her. In many cases of sickness, the very best
remedy is for the patient to fast for a meal or two, that the
overworked organs of digestion may have an opportunity to rest.
A fruit diet for a few days has often brought great relief to brain
workers. Many times a short period of entire abstinence from
food, followed by simple, moderate eating, has led to recovery
through nature's own recuperative effort. {CD 310.4}

69. IN WHAT WAY CAN WE HELP OUR
ENVIRONMENT ?
As we consume food
from the vegetable
kingdom we conserve:
The air we breathe,
The earth,
The rivers,
The water we drink,
The ocean, the local
climate and
environment.
69
70. WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT WE TAKE
CARE OF THESE BODIES ?
The chemicals making images in
the mind provide the actions of
the mind that control the body.
When we invite the Lord of Lords
to dwell in this temple, we need
to be careful with what we put
into our bodies.
Our thoughts come from
chemical reactions. These
chemicals come from the foods
we eat.
It is due to this that the mind is
considered a most holy place.
In addition, this temple is not
ours, but rather it belongs to the
Lord.
70
71. SHOULD WE MARVEL IN KNOWING
HOW WE ARE MADE ?
OUR TEMPLES ARE FORMIDABLY
MADE WITH MUCH PRECISION.
WE ARE VESSELS OF CLAY
INTERTWINED FROM THE DEPTHS
OF THE EARTH, MARVELOUSLY
MADE FROM THE EMBRION BY THE
HANDS OF GOD.
THIS DESIGN WAS PRE-
PROGRAMMED AND IS BY DESIGN
MADE TO LIVE FOR AN ETERNITY.
WE SHOULD ALLOW THE POTTER TO
HAVE HIS WAY IN OUR LIVES AND
MOLD US IN SUCH A WAY THAT WE
CONFORM TO HIS PURPOSES.

72. John 6:32-35 “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you
the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh
down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto
him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am
the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that
believeth on me shall never thirst.”
What can we learn
from the Bible about
the healing power
within our reach in
partaking of the
bread of life?
