archetypes of women being fragile and motherly, controlled by their emotions, and of men being

eerie. He uses Time and motion by showing Orpheus legs in a walking position, whilst holding
Eurydice arm, leading her out of the Hades Underworld. Also, the texture of the trees and bushes
have a realistic topographical and layered appearance with shades of blacks and browns. Since
Corot is a landscape painter, he often uses atmospheric perspective to create the illusion of depth.
He shows the spirits mourning their death in the background with shades of cool tones and uses
light colors, while emphasizing Eurydice and Orpheus in the foreground with more deep and
darker colors. Another element I ve seen in Corot s painting is his use of space, he shows Orpheus
and Eurydice on the corner right while the rest of the image is more focused on his beautiful

the threshold from where there is no return. Bonnie crosses this threshold as soon as she runs
away with Clyde and crosses from staying within the law and becomes an outlaw. She commits
herself to a life of crime. There are tests that Bonnie has to undergo. She has to learn to be cool
during robberies, car chases, and being shot at. She recruits C.W. who becomes part of her gang.
She also has to be contend with the enemies she gains which fall from the law enforcement to

On August 1st 1914, Germany declared war on Russia, and on the 3rd, declared war on France.
Starting at the top of the previous page the first piece of artwork I chose to review is Max
Beckmann s piece Der Kriegsausbruch (Declaration of War), created in 1914 as the declarations
of war had just been announced. This is a drawing depicting the reaction of passers by in Berlin
to the news of war being declared. I chose this piece specifically because of the sketchy style of
drawing. I find that the looseness of his lines give the piece a feeling of anxiousness or even
stress that I imagine many of the citizens depicted in the piece were feeling at the time. The second
